Spacious sites but park is sandwiched between two trailer parks. Area outside park is rundown, and we wouldn't walk at night. No amenities. Barking dogs in neighborhood, chickens/roosters crowing early in the morning, airport traffic started early but wasn't all day. Navy training jets often drowned out normal conversation one day until after dark. Only good point is how close it was to Key West and how close it was to two good restaurants: Hogfish Bar and Grill and Rusty Anchor. Lazy Dogs outdoor water sports rental location also close. We camped at El Mar RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice, a short distance to Key West, no amenities but very quiet and very clean. Wi-Fi works fine and lots of channels on cable. No showers or restrooms. We camped at El Mar RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

I have mixed feelings about this park. We were shocked to see that no one else was staying there. There is no full-time caretaker around either. The woman that came to collect our rent said that Stock Island is a high-crime area and be careful not to walk around the area at night. OK, but there is no security gate of any kind, so we were on our own. Also, we never could get a Wi-Fi signal. Now the good: It's away from the hustle of Key West and very peaceful. My husband loved the ocean right outside the door, and it was fun to watch the birds and other wildlife. The people that came by to collect rent and clean up the area were very friendly and helpful. I thought it was high priced for what we got, but that's Key West. We camped at El Mar RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is really two parks. Sites 1-5 are large back in sites with not much of a view. Sites 6-11 are pull in ocean front sites. 1-5 should be rated at 7 for the con reasons to follow. 6-11 should be rated 10+ but for a couple of the cons that follow. Pros: all sites (except 11) are very wide, large concrete pad for coach and outside sitting, good dependable power, water and cable, views from 6-11, paved road into campground, ample room to park 2 or more toads. Cons: no bath house or laundry, Wi-Fi was not working (was to be fixed and I am sure it will be), not the best of neighborhoods (don't want to walk off the property at night). Having said this we must also say that this is one of the best laid out campgrounds we have stayed in. Owner is on premises for winter season and is very friendly and knowledgeable. Would we stay again? You betcha, already paid for next year. BTW, the rate was a 5 night minimum at $100 per night due to Fantasy Fest and worth every dime of it. . We camped at El Mar RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Very pleasant place to stay. Ernie and his staff very friendly. Pads were spacious. No shade, but very well kept. Had a nice view of the Atlantic ocean. Cannot really swim there. Close drive to Key West. Had to leave a day early and they were very understanding. Would stay there again. There are a few resident Iguanas entertaining to watch. We camped at El Mar RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This place is a jewel. While a small park - just 11 sites, half of them are right on the water with a lovely view of a harbor and Atlantic beyond. We stayed 6 nights in a motor home. All sites were full with motor homes with one site with an Airstreram trailer. Most occupants had been there for several months and had been coming for years. There are no facilities, such as bathrooms, swimming pools, clubhouse, etc. However, the pads are concrete and very large. Our pad was approximately 30 feet wide and 50 feet long. Park is nicely landscaped. It is 1/2 block from Boyd's Campground, but is much more open and less crowded. The park is at Mile Marker 5, which places it very close to Key West itself - 10 minutes and you are on Duval Street. My wife and I really liked this place and would definitely stay there again if we ever make the long trek down to Key West. We paid $110 per night and it was worth it.
