Overall Rating:

Stayed here for 3 days during the winter season in Fl. Bad mistake. When making reservations told them we needed a pull through: When we arrived, it was a back-in. We are a 40ft RV with tow car. Without a lot of "jockeying" room, sites are very difficult to get into even with the dolly unhitched. From the entry, the facility looks really nice: That is only in the front couple of rows. Our spot was in the larger back area which was unkempt, and full of what appeared to be yearly or seasonal workers area. Across from us was what appeared to be a souvenir store for Disney; one in the back had the sparkle type lights going all night and the other lit up with Disney lights. Not the ambience we want for camping in a tent, 5th, tag-along or RV. It was a large site width-wise but not enough to keep dolly attached. We had to move our tow vehicle one morning so a neighbor across the street could get out of his spot. . There was no guide for reaching the site and erroneous directions given by the camp personnel. With small winding, poorly maintained roads, it was difficult to maneuver through. Sites in back were grass and poorly leveled. Wi-Fi was fine as was 50 amp service. No garbage pick-up but we were within a short walk to the community dump. Due to the cost of this campground, I give it a terrible rating! I'm a native Floridan and know what the Orlando season is like, but I considered this price-gouging. For possibly $40/night, maybe. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

Stopped just for one night while in the area. Pool was nice, though the roads to get to the full hook up area by the pond are very difficult to navigate in a large Motorhome. Very convenient to Old Towne and nearby shopping. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

Having full timed for five years and been in 100 parks across America, this park has the distinction of being the worst ever. Very disappointed, especially because we try to do our homework thoroughly and we are staying for a length of time. This has been our first and last Encore Park. The park roads are very poorly marked leading people to frequently drive the wrong way creating a hazard especially with the narrowness of the roads. They have islands in the road that make it difficult for large rigs to negotiate. To make matters worse, when we requested an escort to our site, we were told they don't do that because they are undermanned. We are in a Premium pull through site that is a misnomer. There is no real clubhouse for people to assemble. The front desk personnel are rude and untrained while park management is non-existent. In one month, we've been witness to an accident, several traffic close-calls, an eruption of a plugged sewer, lack of hot water in the rest rooms, and a lack of towels/disinfectant in the fitness room. These people clearly do not know what business they are in. On the plus side, the wifi has been good and cable tv clear. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Rest rooms all closed for renovation, except those at the pool. No wifi. Staff surly when questioned about these things. Oh well, that's the way it is, we're sorry, of course. Seriously .... what kind of rv park management renovates during peak season? No discount given for the lack of these basic services. Sadly, as with many Encore resorts in the pay few years, they fail to deliver promised amenities yet charge high prices. Will avoid Encore in the future as we have found their parks too often to be much less than advertised. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

Stayed 10 days. No activities, except for kids on weekends. Mini golf, shuffle board, bags & bocce ball were all closed. Office staff could care less about the customer. Bathrooms/showers were under renovation and closed (except the one by the pool). All I got was excuses & blaming employees that were no longer working at the park. The only thing this park has going for it right now is being close to Disney. Have stayed here several times and this is the worst stay ever. Never again. We LOVE Tropical Palms! It's 'behind' Old Town, and quite large. There are all sorts of camp sites there, but our choice is the premium pull-thru site. You can bike all around the park, or to Old Town, or walk and get all your exercise that way! The restrooms are clean, although a bit older, but clean. The staff is wonderful, very pleasant and over the top helpful! Plus, it's super dog friendly, which makes our lives even better. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Because we had Passport America we were put in the back forty in a site which was less than nice. The park was almost empty so we asked if we could move closer to the pool. They accommodated us and we had a great shady site. The pool is outstanding, separate pool for kids. Has a cafe at the pool. Food was great. Security guard/gate on duty. As nice a park as this is, the Wifi is less than perfect. Loved it here. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Travel Trailer.

My wife and I are from Spain and we have been traveling for three years with our motorhome throughout the United States. This campsite was recommended to us by friends and we have been four days. Okay, but considering the season it is, May, and what is offered, is a bit high the price for what they offer. The pool area is very nice as is the bar of the same. The plots are large and have all the amenities.   It is in Kissimmee and therefore close to all the attractions, and restaurants that one wants. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

This is the closest campground to Disney World. It is an older campground and is very large. The spaces are close together. We had a pull thru that made the tight spaces easier to get inot and set up. The bathrooms were older and needed to be updated, but they were clean. We stayed here for 3 nights. There are nicer campgrounds, you might pay a bit more for them, but this campground is the closest to Disney World. If Disney is your destination and not the campground then this is the right campground for you! We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Travel Trailer.

The grounds are quite pretty around the lagoon. We drove out of our way to stay here again despite problems last year. Last year they put us in an awful site and we requested a change. They offered us a Lagoon view but it was with an up charge. We accepted. While here, the water was off for 2 days! Broken water main. OK stuff happens. This past summer, I made a reservation for here again and requested and was promised a Lagoon view. When we arrived, we were told our site was given to someone else who booked a longer stay. We were parked on the edge of the park directly in front of a dumpster. "Dumpster view". My wife went up the next morning and spoke to a very nice girl, explained the situation, and requested a move. She attempted to move us to a site on the Lagoon. My wife walked to the site and someone was in it. They didn't even know there was a squatter. They gave us another site on the Lagoon. Third day here, Water went off again!!!! We are told it is another water main break. Horrible experience. Disappointing. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

Shakedown cruise for the new Montana 3950. No issues with our unit. Campground is clean and quiet.. Some of the spots are a little tight and there is no consistency on where the sewer, power and fresh water connections are. I had to pull further forward than I wanted to hook up power, but that meant I needed all 30 feet of sewer hose and because of a tree, there was no way to get a downhill flow. Not a fan of site 356. There was a problem with the 50A feed, but they fixed it within 20 minutes. Loose wire in the box so they replaced the 50A breaker and the outlet. I feel compelled to write a review on this place. Under new ownership since December, 2016, but from what I can see Encore is more about promoting their brand than running a park. The location is fantastic and the pool area is great. We were there for February 2017 in an RV on a gravel site that was fine. We lost water for long periods of time twice, each followed by 3 days of a boil water alert. During the day-long + water outage the restrooms were off limits, no portables were brought in, and water was not offered until very late in the process. Lost water other times too - 10 out of 28 days with water problems. The men's room ran out of toilet paper, had no soap often - once for 4 days or so. When I asked why no soap I was told it was on order. Come on now, why not run down to the store and get some pump bottles? There are chairs in the shower stalls to put your things on leaving little room to change. One shower stall had a nice, narrow bench that worked, but only one in the whole place. I went to the front desk several times to bring items to their attention, get mail, and ask questions. More often than not there was a line at the counter while employees were on the phone with customers. Aren't these back room tasks for such a large, active park? Talked to several employees who said they were not pleased with the new management. If you are self-contained and will be off property a lot, this place will work. But if you plan to use the facilities or stay for awhile, be ready for a disappointment. Hope they get their act together. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.
