We LOVE Tropical Palms! It's 'behind' Old Town, and quite large. There are all sorts of camp sites there, but our choice is the premium pull-thru site. You can bike all around the park, or to Old Town, or walk and get all your exercise that way! The restrooms are clean, although a bit older, but clean. The staff is wonderful, very pleasant and over the top helpful! Plus, it's super dog friendly, which makes our lives even better. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

My wife and I are from Spain and we have been traveling for three years with our motorhome throughout the United States. This campsite was recommended to us by friends and we have been four days. Okay, but considering the season it is, May, and what is offered, is a bit high the price for what they offer. The pool area is very nice as is the bar of the same. The plots are large and have all the amenities.   It is in Kissimmee and therefore close to all the attractions, and restaurants that one wants. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort and Campground in a Motorhome.

Because we had Passport America we were put in the back forty in a site which was less than nice. The park was almost empty so we asked if we could move closer to the pool. They accommodated us and we had a great shady site. The pool is outstanding, separate pool for kids. Has a cafe at the pool. Food was great. Security guard/gate on duty. As nice a park as this is, the Wifi is less than perfect. Loved it here. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is the closest campground to Disney World. It is an older campground and is very large. The spaces are close together. We had a pull thru that made the tight spaces easier to get inot and set up. The bathrooms were older and needed to be updated, but they were clean. We stayed here for 3 nights. There are nicer campgrounds, you might pay a bit more for them, but this campground is the closest to Disney World. If Disney is your destination and not the campground then this is the right campground for you! We camped at Tropical Palms Resort and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

I feel compelled to write a review on this place. Under new ownership since December, 2016, but from what I can see Encore is more about promoting their brand than running a park. The location is fantastic and the pool area is great. We were there for February 2017 in an RV on a gravel site that was fine. We lost water for long periods of time twice, each followed by 3 days of a boil water alert. During the day-long + water outage the restrooms were off limits, no portables were brought in, and water was not offered until very late in the process. Lost water other times too - 10 out of 28 days with water problems. The men's room ran out of toilet paper, had no soap often - once for 4 days or so. When I asked why no soap I was told it was on order. Come on now, why not run down to the store and get some pump bottles? There are chairs in the shower stalls to put your things on leaving little room to change. One shower stall had a nice, narrow bench that worked, but only one in the whole place. I went to the front desk several times to bring items to their attention, get mail, and ask questions. More often than not there was a line at the counter while employees were on the phone with customers. Aren't these back room tasks for such a large, active park? Talked to several employees who said they were not pleased with the new management. If you are self-contained and will be off property a lot, this place will work. But if you plan to use the facilities or stay for awhile, be ready for a disappointment. Hope they get their act together. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort and Campground in a Motorhome.

Shakedown cruise for the new Montana 3950. No issues with our unit. Campground is clean and quiet.. Some of the spots are a little tight and there is no consistency on where the sewer, power and fresh water connections are. I had to pull further forward than I wanted to hook up power, but that meant I needed all 30 feet of sewer hose and because of a tree, there was no way to get a downhill flow. Not a fan of site 356. There was a problem with the 50A feed, but they fixed it within 20 minutes. Loose wire in the box so they replaced the 50A breaker and the outlet. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The grounds are quite pretty around the lagoon. We drove out of our way to stay here again despite problems last year. Last year they put us in an awful site and we requested a change. They offered us a Lagoon view but it was with an up charge. We accepted. While here, the water was off for 2 days! Broken water main. OK stuff happens. This past summer, I made a reservation for here again and requested and was promised a Lagoon view. When we arrived, we were told our site was given to someone else who booked a longer stay. We were parked on the edge of the park directly in front of a dumpster. "Dumpster view". My wife went up the next morning and spoke to a very nice girl, explained the situation, and requested a move. She attempted to move us to a site on the Lagoon. My wife walked to the site and someone was in it. They didn't even know there was a squatter. They gave us another site on the Lagoon. Third day here, Water went off again!!!! We are told it is another water main break. Horrible experience. Disappointing. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort and Campground in a Motorhome.

The park has a lot of park models and rents them out as well as sells them. Large park with nice club house and small store. Interior roads are paved, but can get a bit tight in some spots. We had no problems with utilities and would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort and Campground in a Motorhome.

Had a fairly large pull thru. It was paved and had enough space with the adjoining camper. The park was full over the weekend, but you couldn't feel it. The roads and sites are wide enough to absorb everyone. The office staff were crisp and professional. The registration process all flowed very well, despite the line. The laundry is very nice. It was to cool to use the large pool. I planed on swapping some books in there library but it has fallen into abandonment. They should restock it. We stayed here for the weekend in a Motorhome along with our Daughter's family in a site next to us in their pop-up. We had one of the grassy sites near the back of the park. Some reviewers have complained about the narrow roads but we are in a 35 foot motorhome towing a jeep and the roads are fine. You do have to find your own site. We stayed after some heavy rains and were moved off our original reserved site when we arrived but the new sites were fine. They do have better premium sites that we will try next time. Park was clean. The person who helped us with our reservations was superb and even came out of the back to welcome us. The sites we had were somewhat close together which is why I rated it less. Good place to stay if you need to be close to the amusement parks. We have already made another reservation for Sept 2016. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort and Campground in a Motorhome.

Booked a last minute site with some friends for the Independence Day weekend, and to our surprise, there were sites available. The gentlemen who helped us on the phone was very courteous and did his best to locate us as close as possible to our friends. When we arrived check-in was quick and smooth, however when we arrived at our site it was flooded from the previous evening's showers. We went back to the front office and they gave us several other sites to choose from, then remembering that we were traveling with another group, they told us that they did have a site available right next to the rest of our party, and they put us there! I honestly couldn't ask for better service from a campground staff! The campground itself is clean, fairly well maintained, and the campers in it are generally courteous towards each other. One member in our party did have issues with the 30 amp breaker tripping, but as I have noticed with other campgrounds, this is a common problem. They went and purchased a 50 amp adapter and all was well after that. Pool can get overcrowded, but that is expected during a holiday weekend in the middle of a very hot Florida summer. I will gladly camp here again! We camped at Tropical Palms Resort and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Map out your path to your site using a service like Google Earth as this campground is tight. We navigated with a relatively small set up (3/4 ton truck with a 26' TT) and it was still tight.

We stayed here twice over the last 4 weeks. Both times we had a great time. Staff was very helpful and most campers were very nice. Nice pool with a DJ on the weekends and things for the kids to do. All different types of sites, grassy, gravel, asphalt, concrete, back-in, pull-thru, etc. If you don't like a lot of folks and are use to peace and quiet, only stay here during the week. You are close to Disney so it can get pretty hectic. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort and Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Old Town shops and Classic Car shows on Friday and Saturday nights. Some times there are 200 hundred cars and trucks. Medieval Times is just down the road. Of course Disney and whatever type of shopping or attraction you can imagine is close by. But much cheaper than staying at Disney. There are also cottage rentals for non-RVers.
