50 RV Parks near Kissimmee, Florida
Sep 2017 - $10.00
Very good, level camp sites, new limestone/shell surface. Good privacy and shade at most sites. Power was steady. Experienced no surges/loss. Dump Station on exit road. Since the hurricane, they did a great job of clean-up. The park is in good shape. Trails are good (6.7, 6, 2.8 and 1/4 mile). Biking is good. Good equestrian trails and camping. The staff are friendly and helpful. Campground bath houses are clean and maintained, as is the day park facility. Spacious day visitor area/playground. Good marina & small camp store. Saw plenty of deer and birds. This is a great day or overnight park. - GDoug
Apr 2017 - $10.00
Stayed one night in a 27 foot motorhome with tow car in site 26. This park is a long way out of the way for a one night stay but I like staying at state parks. Beautiful campground in middle of a shady hammock. Looked out on open forest. Totally dark and quiet at night. Huge site. This is a place to come to and stay a while preferably with a boat! Down the road is a camp store, a boat ramp, a marina and a day use area. Only problem I had was the trails. I travel with my dog and we like hiking preferably on a loop trail. There were no short -- as in a few miles -- trails. Just mega ones. - SoloRed
Jan 2017 - $20.00
We stayed 2 nights at Lake Kissimmee State Park and will definitely do it again as we live fairly close.
We found it to be quite enjoyable; it's off the beaten path, very large (the park itself) and has nice private camp sites with plenty of room. Most sites are compacted crushed shell and sand, very level with plenty of room for a screen room or tent plus chairs and whatever else you bring. They each have a fire ring and picnic table. Some sites (maybe 15 %) have concrete pads (I guess for Handicap access or large rigs). The bathroom/shower facilities are very close no matter what site you have and very clean.
We are bike riders and absolutely loved the hiking trails. There are 2 trails that are each 6+ mile loops with many connector trails. These loops are very well marked and they provide a nice accurate map. The Trails are mostly wide pine forest with few roots and some sandy places but very few places that might require you to get off your bike and walk it. We loved riding them! We saw many deer while out. Also, do check out the Cow Camp, it's a slice of FL history.
On weekends, the lake is awash with Airboats, so you can pretty much constantly hear them roaring in the background, but we found it to be pretty benign, kind of like having a railroad track nearby.
There is no wifi except at the "general store" and cell coverage is very spotty, but for a weekend getaway, that's perfect. - ToddAndMarge
Feb 2017 - $20.00
Hammondell is mainly for permanent and snowbirds with about 40 spots for short term stays. We stayed for a month so the daily rate was very low, but had an electric bill of about $40 at the end of the month. - WNC Traveler
Mar 2016 - $24.00
This is definitely a retirement park and the vast majority of the permanent units are old and in need of upkeep. There are a few overnight sites and all of these are tight, really tight for a rig over 30 feet long to get in and out of. Hook ups were typical and the price per night included cable TV. The best thing I can say about this park is that it is quiet. We paid for 10 nights and ended up staying only 5 nights. - the Fishers
Mar 2015 - $16.00
We stayed for 4 months at the monthly rate of $475 plus electric. WiFi was limited as we were in the rear of the park but not a major problem as we opted for the extended TV and WiFi thru the local provider. While the sites are somewhat narrow and some of the paved streets are not the widest this is more than offset by management and the people that reside in the park.
We have stayed in different parks and in different cities within FL and this is by far the friendliest park we have had the pleasure of staying at. The manager, is the greatest. Plenty of planned activities to keep everyone busy or lounge around the pool...your choice.
Made a lot of friends that we now stay in contact with. Can't wait to go bad next winter. - BlueBoy
Feb 2017 - $70.00
Beautiful high-end Class A gated resort right off I-4. Conveniently located between Orlando, Lakeland & Tampa. Many sites are owned, many for sale, many undeveloped. Some owner sites are available for rental. Owner sites are very private, beautifully landscaped, some with tiki huts & casitas! Top notch new facilities & friendly people! This was our 2nd visit! - Sassy-1947
Jan 2017 - $65.00
Rent from private party (702)301-6026. Extra palm trees on large back in site. Any class A will have plenty of room. Pool. Everyone welcomed to Tuesday night potluck. - Jrod1
Jul 2016 - $70.00
This has the potential to be a fantastic RV resort. Awesome new casitas and all sites are well developed with wide pavers. Sites are beautifully landscaped. Next to interstate but no road noise. The only disappointment was that site maintenance seemed to be dragging a bit and the landscape (shrubs and lawned areas) were in need of some attention. The "on site"garbage containers on our site had not been collected in a while. Mosquitoes were wicked and we were not sure if they were spraying for them or not. But in all fairness, it is central Florida and some mosquitoes are to be expected. All that said this is a wonderful facility and anyone who visits here will likely be pleased. - americanrascal
Feb 2009 - $30.00
Of all the questions I answered above they do offer, but it is not big rig friendly The way they advertised it sounded so great and it looks like a dump with many pernament people here. We are on a corner lot and very close to the road and people come very close to our RV and car. We had to ask one of the host to move their golfcart so we could put our slides out. I would never stay here again. - vella
Jun 2017 - $45.00
Older Park, most occupants appear to be permanent or long term clients. Conveniently located to LEGO Land and WalMart. Weather conditions forced us to depart a day early. Even though we gave them heads-up the day before, Management would not refund us the cost of the for the day. We reserved a "Deluxe pull-thru concrete" site. There was nothing deluxe about it. Doubt if we will stay here again. - Joe-n-Doe
Apr 2017 - $45.00
Negatives - Mostly permanent residents, not many children, very little shade, lacking an adequate playground area, extremely quiet. Positives - Walmart within walking distance, close to LEGOLAND, clean area, friendly office staff. Overall - We went with our three kids. The staff were friendly but the park was mostly older individuals and there were almost no children. We felt out of place with our active children. If you're looking for a quiet retreat this would be it. But I wouldn't recommend if you have small kids that want to play. - Brunette8610
Jun 2016 - $35.00
The managers were very friendly and helpful. Large park, with a number of permanent residents, but very well kept. We stayed here for 4 nights mid June 2016. Cost was $35.00 a night with Good Sam discount. Site was a little wider than normal, and long enough for our 37-foot RV and tow-dolly. There are at least 3 bathhouse buildings, so you are close no matter where you are in the park. The one I went into was very clean. Pool was nice and clean, and they also offer shuffleboard, bocce balls, basketball, mini-golf and a playground area, plus a fenced dog park. WiFi was good, we don't use cable or satellite so can't comment. Laundry on site but didn't use it. - BarrettsHappyTrails
Nov 2017 - $30.00
There seem to be a lot of things needing repair/maintenance in this park. The shuffleboard court was full of cracks, the (UN-AIR-CONDITIONED) clubhouse had jalousie windows that could not be opened, the men's room in the clubhouse was a urinal that was non-operational (and a door that could not be locked). There is no cable TV in this park, but OTA was fine. There is no WI-FI unless you want to pay almost $6 for one day (rates are better for longer stays but still...). For some reason, they decided to burn brush along the edge of the lake, producing choking clouds of smoke. The dock/wharf is rotted to the point where nobody can walk on it. Water pressure was a bit low, as was the electric voltage. The door on the pedestal had a sharp edge that bit a little chuck out of my arm when I tried to open the door while hooking up. The sites are called "pull-thru" but, in reality, you just pull straight is and then back out when you leave. We did have a nice view of the "lake" which was right in front of us. I will say that the staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. - dhaney1944
Apr 2015 - $40.00
This park is just off I-4 and very convenient. It is a Snowbird park and almost all residents are seasonal. Everyone we met was very nice and friendly and the park is clean and well maintained.
The park is very old and showing its age. There is little investment in new infrastructure so the concrete pads are cracking, the picnic tables need to be replaced, the water volume/pressure is very limited and our power suffered from undervoltage and breakers tripping at the post. We lost power for short periods on 5 out of the 10 days we were there.
I really like this park, its location and its view of the pond but it needs a serious reinvestment in utilities and upgrades. - Miss Adventure
Mar 2015 - $55.00
We made reservations there but when we arrived, there was no one to greet us (not after hours), just a note on the door. The site we reserved was on the water (think swamp) and was surrounded by cluttered seasonal sites with a lot of junk on them. The picnic table was falling apart and the fire ring was nearly submersed in water. The other campers did not seem friendly. We are reasonable, tolerant people, but we did not see the value in staying there at all. We left and went to Bay Lake Motorcoach Resort across the highway. That resort is SO MUCH BETTER!! - J Reimer
Jan 2013 - $24.00
Park is mostly full time occupied old trailers and park models. Even though we had reservations for our 32 foot motorhome, the sites they showed us were next to the trash and would never fit our rig. In fact we couldn't even drive on the street that lead to the office. This is not an RV Park it is more a trailer park. - LMur
Mar 2012 - $21.00
We were welcomed by all the people that not only worked here but other campers. Very nice and clean, love the oak trees. Nice place to stay and relax, and the fishing was great as well - tennup60
Mar 2012 - $45.00
What a lovely campground. The staff was very helpful and nice. Just a beautiful setting. - smileyann45
Jan 2013 - $40.00
I only stayed two days although paid two weeks in advance. It is definitely not a resort. It is a trailer/RV park. I started to stay in the electric water area because supposed to meet a camping club there the following week. Bathrooms were broken and overflowing and the ground was so soft the RV was sinking in ground. Permanent people there that have RVs just started building structures around them. Very trashy. The only other two RVs in that area that were temporary like me had owners tell me one had wood stolen from the side of the RV and the other had their chairs taken and found teenagers that lived at the RV park took them to a campfire for a loud drinking party nearby. Moved to paved site with sewer at other side of campground for the next night. I asked a neighbor if safe there after I had already set up and she told me about a ton of bad stuff that just happened in last two weeks. They rent RVs out there and have several evictions and break-ins. She said money, food, golf cart, clothes, etc. stolen. Decided to stay the night since it was late and already set up. The next morning the lock was picked to my kayak. It was only still there because I had another double lock. I packed up within an hour and headed to another campground. My son and I were scared to stay there any longer. Campground did give a refund for the rest of the time. The neighbor who told me all the bad stuff said management was angry with her for telling me all that as I was packing up. Oh, and someone followed my truck in one day. Took 5 turns and going around in circles through RV park to get rid of them. They followed us in through the exit since there is no gate there. Only a security gate on entrance side. Freaked my son and me out. Worse place I ever stayed at. - Gia H
Mar 2017 - $40.00
Roadways and spaces are really small, impossible to get in/out without tree limbs brushing tops and sides of our 33' class C motor home. Appears to cater more toward senior citizen snow birds, definitely did not seem kid friendly (and lady who checked us in jacked up rate $12/night when she found out we had kids), odd since they advertise their proximity to legoland. Even one of the full timers there that was nice to us told us to ignore the checkin lady, they knew exactly attitude we encountered without us saying a word. - Erica LR
Nov 2013 - $17.00
Small, family-run park. Very friendly, helpful people. Moderate traffic noise if you are parked right along the street. Lovely lake shore waterfront lots at the rear of the park but they are not very long. Streets inside the park are very tight. They have a laundry, did not use. They have 2 50-amp sites along the street. Wi-Fi worked well, only somewhat slow in the early evening, like everywhere. The published rate was the Passport rate for 50 amp service. There was cable installed at our 50-amp site, but it did not work. Water pressure was very low, especially in the morning and early evening. Because of the traffic noise and the very low water pressure, we would not stay here again. - SusanRon
Feb 2013 - $17.00
We knew nothing about this park before coming here, except it was cheap (rate quoted is Passport). We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival, given a choice between a full hook-up site or a lovely waterfront w/e site. We chose the site on the lake where we could watch the birds and the sunset. They helped us into the site (some spaces looked small, but ours was fine). One evening, they had live music in the lakeside porch, place felt like a friendly neighborhood. Some would complain about tight turns to get in but for the money, we thought this place was great. We stayed for five nights and would definitely return. - joenan
May 2017 - $65.00
KOA 10% discount for two nights at a supersize site The site was a long gravel and concrete pull-through site with FHU and 50 amps. There was a good sized concrete patio adjacent to the pad with a patio table, four chairs and two person glider. We had good Verizon cell and internet reception. We had good DishTV satellite reception. The park's WiFi was a little slow. The parks interior roads are narrow, but easily navigated. The park was quiet both day and night. We would stay here again. - Dave51
Jan 2017 - $56.00
We had a great stay in this immaculately maintained KOA, even had the breakfast on Saturday it was delicious. We had a direct lake view site ( did not know I had even reserved this type) We will definitely stay there again. - rr2254545
May 2016 - $46.00
Highly recommend this park. Great location on the lake and the fishing was excellent. Not a big park but staff and setting is excellent. They are clean and well manicured grounds. Nice pavilion with corn hole, horse shoes and ladder ball. Will surely be back. - Jaybird673
