Under new management. No longer accepts PA. Very well kept as of this date. All the facilities were immaculate, bathrooms, showers, laundry, clubhouse. Very friendly and helpful staff. The only drawback, besides no longer being a PA park is that it's so close to I-10 you might as well be camping in the median. 24/7 road noise. We camped at Lake City RV Resort (formerly Oaks "N" Pines) in a Fifth Wheel.

Well, this was disappointing. After using the former Oaks & Pines for years as a night stopover, we were disappointed to find that the park had been sold. What attracted us originally is that Oaks & Pines was a Passport America park. They were an easy on/off from I-10, charged a reasonable rate ($19-$20), were led to our site and helped with positioning, had pull-thrus without trees at the rear of the park, and were usually full by morning when we left. In comparison, we were charged $36 (and that was with a Good Sam discount), told where to go, had the pull-thrus at the rear, it was us and one other unit the next morning, and we rubbed shrubs on the way out. We understand that they are new owners, but after reading other reviews, have had the time to get their act together. We will now look for another overnight stop because it sure won't be here. We camped at Lake City RV Resort (formerly Oaks "N" Pines) in a Motorhome.

Older camp but well kept. Hosts are very helpful. We camped at Lake City RV Resort (formerly Oaks "N" Pines) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Good stop off I10 or 441. Good value.

The park was well maintained. Numerous piles of landscape debris at the back of the park (away from campsites) apparently resulted from the changes being made. Staff was pleasant and helpful, inviting use of the rec hall and the other facilities. We camped at Lake City RV Resort (formerly Oaks "N" Pines) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Very convenient to the main Lake City exit on Interstate 10.

First, this park is under new ownership and management. It has been renamed the Lake City RV Resort. There is another park in the area named the Lake City Campground which may cause confusion.

Over the past several years we have stopped at the Oaks n Pines (aka Lake City RV RESORT) for a couple of nights to visit with my wife's brother. We are glad to see the park under new ownership as the former owner was very unstable and his behavior was unpredictable.

However, one of the things the former owner did well was to maintain the grounds. He was always out there cutting the grass and cutting limbs. The new managers aren't going to do that so they will have to hire someone.

Since we left there in April the grounds have become poorly maintained. The grass was very high. The interior dirt road, although never in perfect condition, has become very rutted. The road to the exit is narrow but we have never brushed up against shrubs or had tree limbs scrape across the roof of our motorhome.

This park has a lot of work to do to keep old visitors and attract new visitors. I expect next spring (April 2016) that we will stop at this park. If conditions haven't improved it will be the last time. It will also depend on the rates they set as the new owner has decided to not be part of Passport America which is the main reason we always came to this park. We camped at Lake City RV Resort (formerly Oaks "N" Pines) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you want to user a satellite dish you should request a site in the open area.

This campground is under new ownership. The old name was Oak and Pines. The new name as of this weekend is the Lake City RV Resort. I'm laughing as I type this. We're finishing up a multi month cross country trip and this is absolutely the worst campground we've stayed in. It's a dump. And I think we're the only people stupid enough to stop... The campground is empty. They used to take Passport America but the new owners are not. It would be a rip off at 50% of the $35 we paid. The wifi is non existent and after a brief shower there is standing water everywhere. Just getting into the office the water was over my shoes. It's so close to I-10 that I can read license plate numbers as cars go by. You're right.... I don't know why I stayed except we were tired and ready to get off the road. How this place has the rating it has is beyond me. This is the first time that checking ratings here has failed me. We camped at Lake City RV Resort (formerly Oaks "N" Pines) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We've stayed here before because it is convenient, has pull thrus, and full hook ups. It is a bit of a mess right now, thus the $25 dollar charge because they are under construction. New owners have big plans and I hope they go through with fixing it up. The park itself is well set up, everything worked at our site. They need more gravel on the sites which are now pretty much overrun with grass. They do not have cable and I could not find the wifi they say is available. Still a good spot for overnight, just nothing fancy. This park is in Lake City. We camped at Lake City RV Resort (formerly Oaks "N" Pines) in a Motorhome.

In all of our years of RVing we have never been treated as badly as we were here. The sites are very narrow and rigs with slides take up the entire site. Our drivers side slide actually extended right up to the concrete pad of the next site. There was a picnic table there and my husband had to slide it over a couple of inches to get the bay doors open. When he did this the guy who was cutting the grass came rushing over on his lawn mower and proceeded to curse at my husband telling him to put the table back or get the h**l out. He wouldn't let him explain he planned to move it back as soon as he finished. Now there is a rule not to move the picnic table but a couple of inches so you could open a door? We should have left but we will NEVER go back here and will tell everyone we know to avoid the place. Clean sites and an inexpensive cost do not make up for the way we were treated. I don't mind rules, just the attitude of the people there. Oh, and his wife is the person who parked our rig that way. We camped at Lake City RV Resort (formerly Oaks "N" Pines) in a Motorhome.

Good experience. The only complaint I have is they check visitors in at the front desk. We stayed a week and have family members near by and it was a hassle checking them in every time they came and had to leave by 7 p.m. It was kind of loud due to being on an Interstate.

I don't mind rules, just the attitude of the people there. As others have noted it is very near the freeway, and sites are narrow with neighbors close to you. The sites are ridiculously narrow. from the edge of your rig, you have 7' to your neighbors lot. six of the seven feet are taken up by patio with a picnic table.

Rules: check in noon, check out 11am, no items to be kept on grass, if guests come to see you they must check in at office and be escorted to your site, one vehicle plus RV per site, no repairs or washing vehicles on site. Pets on hand held leash and pick up after them, no Pitbulls or Rottweiler's.

We would stay here again if passing through. Having said all of this, this would be an ok place for a one night stay as you're passing thru. We camped at Lake City RV Resort (formerly Oaks "N" Pines) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The campsite was overall good, but didn't like the fact that we had to check in our visitor and and had to leave before 7 pm. It doesn't even get dark until after 10 pm in Florida.

This area and this RV park are not really a destination, but a stop along the way.

As others have noted it is very near the freeway, and sites are narrow with neighbors close to you.

On the up sides the sites are long enough, pull throughs, utilities are great and connections in the correct spot (middle). Park is clean and well kept. We did not check out the laundry, rest rooms, or center. Staff was friendly and efficient.

I read in other reviews that they enforce their rules.

Note that all complaints were from those who failed to abide by rules on park pamphlet given at check in.

We paid $20 per night including taxes, using Passport America pass and discount.

We would stay here again if passing through. Another possibility is Stephen Foster State Park nearby for $20 night plus tax for 30 amp FHU. We camped at Lake City RV Resort (formerly Oaks "N" Pines) in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for two nights in May. We've a 40' Fifth Wheel. The sites are long, narrow and grassy. The sites are ridiculously narrow. from the edge of your rig, you have 7' to your neighbors lot. six of the seven feet are taken up by patio with a picnic table. Our slide came out over the seat of the picnic table, which substantially cut down the usability of the patio. We had room for one chair on the patio. You are escorted to your site. You must park your vehicle on your site behind your rig. If you have more than one vehicle, the vehicle must be parked near the office ($5.00/day extra charge). The wifi is pretty useless. It worked one time (& then for only 20 minutes) during our stay. The cable also did not work. The sites are all open (the shaded sites are used by the long-term residents, which is only fair). Very noisy, the campground is located right next to I-10. Having said all of this, this would be an ok place for a one night stay as you're passing thru. We camped at Lake City RV Resort (formerly Oaks "N" Pines) in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is right off the interstate but the noise level was low. This park was in need of landscaping. There were several older trailers. The sites were grass/gravel and level easy to get into, however there was several tight spots we had to maneuver though. Light poles and cement barriers were too close to the drive, so if you have a wide rig or are not very experienced at driving you might have problems. The staff was friendly but shared a bit too much information. We might go back for an overnight. We camped at Lake City RV Resort (formerly Oaks "N" Pines) in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed in past for overnighter. This year we stayed for three days. Big mistake, Road noise is terrible, WiFi iffy, and they do not have cable!! It's an antenna hooked to cable box. Two national channels that come and go. Park really fussy about parking. Will not stay here again and will note that in my logs. We camped at Lake City RV Resort (formerly Oaks "N" Pines) in a Travel Trailer.

An overnight stop on our way home. Close to I-10 but highway noise did not bother us. There is an on/off ramp within 30 seconds of campground entrance making access very easy. WiFi not very strong. Spots close together but not an issue for us. Very clean with very friendly staff. Roads in park are narrow but not an issue if you take your time. We camped at Lake City RV Resort (formerly Oaks "N" Pines) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

A very good Huddle House is about a minute down the road just past the I-10 interchange.

We were assured that they had WIFI at their sites. We require WIFI as I work remotely. This was a pure disaster. We could connect at a 1/2 of a bar, and of course, would be dropped within 3 seconds. No antenna TV, advertised cable, not available. Open field, right next to the freeway, very noisy, no buffer at all. We will not stop here again.
