Small shady campground with full hook-ups and a new rest room in state park right on the Suwannee River. Boat launch has small dirt parking lot next to launch. A playground and hiking trails are the only attractions other than the river. A very quiet and peaceful place to stay. We camped at Suwannee River State Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice state park. There is a beautiful lake and a forest here. The place on the RV has great distances from each other. At night the whole silence is complete. If you use Verizon there is good wifi. Friendly staff. We camped at Suwannee River State Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This was our first visit to Suwanee River State Park, we stayed 3 nights. This park is lovely with wide open spacious sites, shaded and clean. All had fire rings, picnic tables, electric, water and sewage hook ups. The bathrooms and showers were clean, not air conditioned but had huge fans that kept it comfortable. If you bring a kayak or canoe or are a hiker then you will like this park. Otherwise, there isn't a whole lot to do here. There is a few historic areas that you can walk to easily within the park and all can be done within an hour. We were bothered by gnats, a few mosquitoes and ticks, so be careful, wear your bug spray and check each others bodies for ticks. The park was quiet and we did not have any issues. There is a convenience store immediately to the right of the park when you drive out that has a deli with prepared food or you can drive about 15 minutes into Live Oak for a few choices of restaurants. We camped at Suwannee River State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice state park. Shaded lots with access to six walking trails that range from .25 miles to 12 miles. Very well marked paths, and very scenic. Park personnel were very courteous. The park was clean and had trash cans nearby. At my particular stay, gnats were horrendous. From mid-morning to evening, gnats were ever present. The city of Live Oak is about 16 miles away forgotten items. No local TV reception but the serenity of the wooded lots make you forget about your TV. You have easy access to the Suwanee River to take a walk along the river. The only reason I did not give this park a 10 was because of the gnats. We camped at Suwannee River State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Great small park. Camp sites are tree covered so no satellite TV. Cell service was okay with a booster. Our site was 17 and 16 was about five feet away from us on our utility side. The site should be just one campsite instead of two. Kayaking was good on the Suwannee River only because of very little rain this past winter, so very little current. Several hiking trails are available from 3/4 of a mile to 25 plus miles. All the trails were easy. We stayed for four days. We camped at Suwannee River State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very nicely maintained. Good hookups. Spacious sites in the trees. No problem maneuvering our 36 ft MH. Nice trails fronting river, which our dog enjoyed. Pretty river, boat launch and lots of kayakers. Not much around, but nice for a getaway. We camped at Suwannee River State Park in a Motorhome.

Another Florida State Park gem. Area is heavily wooded with access to the Suwannee RIver. Sites in our section were not paved or gravel and a recent heavy rain left the area a bit muddy. We camped at Suwannee River State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Lots to do and see. Camp hosts were friendly and helpful. Kind of hard to find. GPS led us astray and there weren't many signs but we managed. Our site was a little narrow to get in and out of but it was clean. Park roads are in good condition. Sites are level gravel. We camped at Suwannee River State Park in a Travel Trailer.

I stay in a lot of Florida state parks. I stayed here late November 2016. This Park is the smallest State Park with a full campground. The campground is very nice and clean. But small, only 30 camp sites. There is really nothing to do at this park. They have only 3 trails. The only access to the river (which was very, very low) is a long, very steep boat ramp. The boat ramp is so steep it's almost dangerous. We camped at Suwannee River State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Park ranger was very friendly and helpful. She seemed to love her job. Our site was large and we enjoyed our stay immensely. Lots of historical things to see in the park. Boat ramp and swimming area. Restrooms were directly behind our site. The showers were clean and large. Sewer connection was closer to the front of the site than to the back so make note before backing in. There are ticks so just beware for both you and your pets. We camped at Suwannee River State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Site #4 deep and wide enough. Some are small and made for smaller trailers, pop-ups or small class C. We had a class A across from us. Nice campground. Quiet, well kept, various walking trails from 1/4 Mile to 12 miles long, fish. Kayaks and canoes can be rented from outside source. Enjoyed our week there. Site was level and had picnic table and fire ring. Rangers very helpful. Doggie bags available throughout the park. You can get 12 channels off the regular antenna. No Wi-Fi and 4g cellular data service sketchy. Enjoyed it. We camped at Suwannee River State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very, very nice campground, lots of hiking trails. The park was well maintained with many restrooms in the park and plenty of doggie bag dispensers. A picnic area and play ground. The trails were well marked and the campground host very helpful. Full hook-ups on the correct site of the site. Most sites were easy access. Site 20 was the best site.
