Very nice park. We parked on the seawall and enjoyed watching the sunset from our site. Staff was very helpful and happy to make suggestions of local attractions and restaurants. Wifi was tolerable. Restrooms were very clean. I did not use the laundry room. I would return here if in the keys. We camped at Jolly Roger Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We rented a car from the Marathon airport, about 6 miles away, and got reasonable rates. Lazy Days on Islamorada is my favorite restaurant, hands down, in the keys. Go snorkeling at Alligator Reef (Islamorada), you won't regret it.

We are in love with this place, people would talk about it, but until you feel it in person, you won't understand. I felt like I was home, place was awesome, the pool has rules and people follow them, pool is amazing, excellent/best pool I have been in . The grounds are well kept and staff is amazing, friendly and very helpful. I love this place to say the least. We camped at Jolly Roger Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Nice park on MM59 in Marathon, FL. Check-in was fast and easy. Staff met us at coach...no need to go into office. Reviewed details and had best route for our size rig to take to site. Big rig friendly. Our coach is 43'. Paved interior roads easy to navigate. We visited with our daughter and 2 granddaughters and friends in adjacent site for one week. Easy in-out to US1. Good central location in middle keys. We were in site H2, pull-in site, on the seawall that had a hard packed sand and grass surface with a paver patio and new picnic table. We faced west with spectacular views of the sunset. Every evening was a different picture at dinner time and we looked forward to each sunset. We also had the marina and fishing pier at our doorstep. The kids fished morning till dark. Two hundred feet north on the seawall is the swimming area with a floating dock, that you can kayak or float. All utilities were excellent, including cable. Many of our neighbors had boats which they docked in front of their coaches. The sites are a mix. To the south and middle are roomy big rig sites with smaller sites mixed in. The pool is excellent in the middle of the park and has numerous umbrellas that shade in and out of the pool with many chaise lounges. Large roomy dog park with doggie bags and open spaces adjacent to US1 to walk dogs. Many restaurants within 15 minute drive. We will return already planning next year. We camped at Jolly Roger Travel Park in a Motorhome.

This is the best run RV park! It's older but very clean. Spaces are wide so nice space and room for vehicle and or trailer in many spaces. We found all of the staff very friendly and helpful. Lot's of camera's so security is great. We will visit again in the future. We camped at Jolly Roger Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We visit this campground every May with other coaches in a group. Very accommodating office staff do all they can to ensure a pleasant stay. Great Bayside location affords wonderful sunsets from provided benches on waters edge. Good wi-fi for our stay. Clean, modern restrooms are located next to the swimming pool. Level spots, acceptable power and conveniently placed water and sewage. Some tree trimming would be helpful at the spots located close to the waterside shelter, which incidentally is quite large and great for groups. Some spots for other than big rigs can back down to the water. At another waterside location there are a few pull in sites with a great view out the windshield. Some of those are available to big rigs. Good location less than ten miles from Marathon with much to do. We camped at Jolly Roger Travel Park in a Motorhome.

I have stayed at this campground several times over the years. They have waterfront and interior sites which are priced separately. The waterfront sites are very tight and close. I stayed in a interior site which had plenty of room, a small concrete pad and picnic table, the power and sewer connections have been updated recently and were conveniently located. Most of the sites are back in and I had enough room for my pull behind. I had a nice quite stay and would recommend this campground. We camped at Jolly Roger Travel Park in a Motorhome.

This was a very nice park! Wanted to visit the Keys, so looked for a central location. PA discount made this possible! PA users get an interior vs waterfront site, which was fine by us! Nice level, grassy site, not crowded together (this time of year!), still only 200' from the water. Small concrete pad for picnic table. During busy season you would be touching your neighbors slide, tho. Staff did a nice job since they weren't crowded to leave vacant sites between campers. Nice docking/launch for boats (we have a kayak), safe area to swim/snorkel. FHU including cable all worked fine. WiFi at the site - sometimes spotty - but adequate. Management says they were upgrading that while we were there. Good Verizon cell/data, no OTA except 2 Spanish (Cuban?) channels. Marathon has good grocery/Walgreens/etc., also free/clean public beaches (no sandy beach at resort). Office staff and fellow travelers very friendly. About 1.25 hrs to Key West - nice ride. We camped at Jolly Roger Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Get your Passport America discount card for this park! Its not worth $90 per night! it is worth $45 and no more. I understand were in the Keys, and location is important.... The park is old, not too many full timers (no park models) but sites are tight; good thing the park was fairly empty. This was the tightest spot on our long trip to get into; I had 12" to spare on one side to the other electrical post! We camped at Jolly Roger Travel Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Bare bones. This park does nothing for its visitors. The sites are tiny, there is no landscaping, the ground is rocky gravel, zero amenities save for a simple pool, the office only sells ice and closes at 5 pm, the wifi is nonexistent, there is no beach at all, zero shade, and the staff is crusty and unhelpful. It's irritating that it can survive with so little care for its occupants. You can't even reserve a site - just an area of the park. The only thing it offers is it's location. Will never return. We spent a weekend at Jolly Roger, first off it's in the Keys so you expect it to cost $90 a night, so no need to be upset about that. Pros - Great Dog Park!, Friendly Staff, Beautiful sunsets on their Tiki Island Cons - Very small sites, you will be on top of your neighbor. No real beach (they have a sea wall and a very nice swimming area but no actual beach). Neutral - I would guess 40%-50% of the people there are long term guests (3 months +). While this is not a bad thing it just gives the area a different feel. Overall this is a very nice Park. We most likely would not stay again but we did enjoy our time here. We camped at Jolly Roger Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Yes, these are the Florida Keys so we are a captive audience whether it's for food/groceries, souvenirs, gasoline, $4.00 per load washing machines, or campsites at campgrounds. I personally feel that paying $84.00 per night is exorbitant, but again, these are the Florida Keys and that is the going rate. So we bite the bullet and stay. That being said, I was extremely happy at Jolly Roger. The people were nice and friendly, both the long-term and short timers, the staff were helpful, and I enjoyed our morning visits with others at the Bark Park. Yes, the sites were a tad close, but we were fortunate that our neighbors were nice, outgoing, and very quiet. I tend to like CG's that cater to the long term campers, as they tend to treat the campground as they would their home, and treat others with respect. During the day we are always out and about, sightseeing, hiking, or geocaching, so we don't get the interaction that many other campers do, but that didn't change our opinion of the park. The only change I would request, is that JR find a lid for the trash can at the Bark Park to keep the odor from wafting throughout the area. Although our 24 foot travel trailer felt tiny among the monster motor homes and huge 5ers, we wouldn't hesitate staying at Jolly Roger again. We camped at Jolly Roger Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

28ft Class C. Premium full hook-up site. Lots of room both width and length. Clean, well kept, trash pick up at site by 9am. All amenities worked very well. You can get as close or as far away as you wish to the hook-ups. All depends on your unit and how you want to position the patio and your rig.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Took us around on a golf cart to look at our site options; a first for us and very welcomed. Paper view of a site is one thing, seeing it first hand is another.

We would stay again. We did call in advance for a reservation to insure we could get a site. We camped at Jolly Roger Travel Park in a Motorhome.
