I really loved this place and would have given it a 10 if the sites were cement instead of gravel and also the check-in process was awkward. Guess I'm being a little knit-picky. When I made the reservation they told us to go right to our site then come to the office to check-in. The signage wasn't very clear but it all worked out fine for us. The office was quite a trek in another section of the resort. The RV park is one section(more of an open area) and the other section with the office had cabins and tent camping and was very wooded and beautiful. There is a lodge that is very homey and welcoming. The owner and staff were super friendly and helpful. Our site was level and very long and since we only stayed one night we didn't even unhook our toad from the back of our 45' motorhome. There was enough space between each site. Each site was gravel with a cement patio surrounded by grass. There was a wooden picnic table and wooden lounge chairs at each site. I would definitely recommend this place. We camped at Suwannee River Rendezvous in a Motorhome.

We heard about this park at the Tampa RV Supershow and received some show special rates that we wanted to take advantage of while passing through the area as we were headed to the Florida panhandle. We used a combination of show specials and Passport America to reduce our nightly rate. It was one of the nicer Passport America parks we found in the area. Everything else was older and did not have great reviews. The owner purchased this park seven years ago and started a new big rig area four years ago. He is very agreeable and there to serve! The park is just a mile and a half north of Florida State Hwy 20, so it is easy in and easy out with no tree worries. This is extremely big rig friendly!! There are pull-through sites and back-in sites. If you want a pull-through site just ask. Since most of the services are relatively new there were no issues with them. The sites are roomy and some even have little areas that are covered by four posts and a metal roof. We camped at Suwannee River Rendezvous in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Mayo, Florida is in the middle of nowhere, but there is a Walmart and such about thirty minutes from the RV park. The older portion of the RV park is right on the Suwannee River. You can rent canoes and kayaks to traverse the river. There is also Convict Springs right by the river. When we were there the river had overflowed into the springs but it looked like it would be inviting when the river settles. There is a restaurant right on the property that is open later in the week.

Nice park with gravel sites of good size. The pool is excellant and kept very clean as is the whole park. The owners are very friendly and are in the process of expanding this park. There is an extra large park and the owners are pet friendly. The wifi needs to be worked on as service is slow to non operational at times. Cable was good for our purposes. We camped at Suwannee River Rendezvous in a Fifth Wheel.

Gravel sites that were an average size for our 42' 5th wheel. Not long enough to stayed hooked up and neighbors on each side were a little close.Could not get cable to work and wi-fi was spotty. Nice pool area and hot tub. Lots of construction and expansion going on so park was a little ragged looking. When new sites open I think park will seem pretty "crowded". Large dog park. Short walk to Suwanee River. Activities on the weekend and a cafe is open. Bike trail close by. Mayo is a few miles away and has a small grocery store. Would be ok for a few days but pretty remote for a long term stay. We camped at Suwannee River Rendezvous in a Fifth Wheel.

The old section of the park is considered convict springs where they have a natural spring coming out of the ground and feeding into the Suwanee River. They have cabins to rent and canoe and kayak rentals; also tent sites. There is a playground, corn hole, horse shoes, and an office with couches and a TV. They are very pet friendly and allow dogs into the office, convict springs and cabins. The front section is the new RV area, many large open sites; good water, electric, sewer, 30 and 50 amp. The roads are paved and the sites are paved too. There is a large fenced dog area. There is a heated pool, hot tub and a heated therapy pool. The restrooms are new and clean. They also have a place to bathe your dogs and a dryer to use on them. This is a very nice park, but not much to do in the area except dive in the springs, or canoe the river. I would come here again. We camped at Suwannee River Rendezvous in a Travel Trailer.

Very friendly staff with great "hands on" owners. Weekends have offered activities such as Bingo, trivia, karaoke, (live band on the last weekend). There is a "Cooking Shack" with breakfast through dinner offered as well as sweet treats. During the week, a short 15 minute drive into Mayo offers several eateries including a hometown lunch buffet. Supermarket and Dollar stores there also. Bathrooms are large and kept clean. We enjoyed the 3 pools, a dip in the cool springs, dog park, and even washed our dog at the dog washing station. Quiet. Wonderful place to camp! We will come back here! We camped at Suwannee River Rendezvous in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a farmers market up the road to pick up fresh fruits & veggies. Campground store is stocked with camping items, shirts, etc...very little non perishable foods, although they were stocked with "some more" grill items while we were there. Bring roll of quarters for laundry is $1.50 wash & $1.50 dry.

The owner offered to enroll us in the Passport America Program and get our first two nights at 50% off. The other two nights had a "senior" discount at 25% off so the net result was 4 nights at $25 per night. The RV park is only 3-4 years old so the trees and shrubs are still small without much shade. Even so, the park is well maintained, neat and tidy. The new pool area at the RV Park is wonderful. We rented a canoe at the resort and did a 4 hour float down the Suwanee River. Very nice and he explained how to find all the natural springs on the way down-river. The original section of the resort where the office is has food service and fun activities on the weekends. As suggested by the owner when I made the reservation, just park in your site, get set-up the go down to the office and register. Don't take your RV down there as the roads and access is narrow and congested. Would stay here again. We camped at Suwannee River Rendezvous in a Motorhome.

We are only commenting on the RV portion of this 'Campground'. The RV section is new and only about 1/2 of the total sites are in service. There are small shade trees that will eventually grow to provide very nice shade - the sites are crushed stone and level - with a picnic table and two seat lounger (wood construction) - Some sites have small 10x10 (about) pavilion that are nice for shade and protection from the rain or a good place to store bikes etc. The sites are well laid out and decent size with lots of grass and open fields - they have a huge for park - the pools are very nice and used by locals as well as 'campers'. They have a huge pavilion with lots of nice picnic tables, a small fishing pond and a Racing Pigeon flock that they exercise just about every evening (interesting). The park is quiet even with kids from the community in the pool area.

It is about 50 minutes from the closest city of any size (Lake City) so it is not great for dining out - they do have a small restaurant on site that is open on weekends - did not eat there but it is burgers and sandwiches.

I do not recommend the typical RV drive to the office - it is in the old section of the park and is close with narrow roads and lots of trees - call, get your site number and walk down (or drive your toad) to sign in.

They have lots of river activities - none of which we took advantage of (retired) - great for families with young kids.

The owners are very nice and the staff very nice as well.

We will probable visit again for a week or two stay on our way back to Maine from Florida. We camped at Suwannee River Rendezvous in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We were not there to 'see' things - we wanted to rest and relax which is what most people there are doing. The location is not conducive to doing anything outside the park but between the river and the pools there is plenty to do on site.

Very nice park though a little out of the way. Sites were large and very clean. Though the park was full over the weekend it was very quiet. As mentioned by others the office is in the older section and away from the new sites. Don't drive down to the office. Call ahead and get your site number so you can go set up and then go to the office and register. I would suggest calling to make reservations as we called a day ahead and was told we got the last site. The fee represents a Passport America discount for two nights and one night at regular price. We will stay here again whenever we are in the area. We camped here in a fifth wheel. We camped at Suwannee River Rendezvous in a Fifth Wheel.

This park has it all! New and modern to rustic. Nice pool and spa, as well as the Suwannee River and it's own spring. Everyone was nice and they even have a pretty good restaurant over looking the springs. Canoe and kayakers dream! Will definitely be returning. We did an overnight here on our way to the Panhandle beaches. The upper campground for RV's is level, with many treeless sites. It was quiet and the restrooms were clean. The three pools looked great, although we did not use them. All-in-all, it's a pretty good place. We camped at Suwannee River Rendezvous in a Fifth Wheel.

The campground is very nice - spacious sites, well-landscaped and maintained. Nice pool and picnic area. There is even a fenced dog area. Be sure to call ahead and they will assign your site to you on the phone so you can go right to it. Then it is a short walk down a dirt road to the office to check in. Do NOT drive your RV down the road to the office as there is no real turnaround. There are activities on the weekend. The owners are friendly and constantly working on making improvements and enhancements. The campground is off the beaten path but a great place to relax and enjoy some R&R. They accept Passport America at this park so our rate reflects that discount. We camped at Suwannee River Rendezvous in a Motorhome.

Stayed a week. Paid the "special show price" from the Tampa RV show. The Suwanee River was way high and flooded the lower part of the RV park. The upper park is an open field with no shade. Upper park is being expanded. Nice swimming pool, nice fenced dog play area, paved roads in the park. Food available on weekends. Some full timers. If you ride a motorcycle, the short dirt road to the park can be VERY slick after a rain storm. We camped at Suwannee River Rendezvous in a Fifth Wheel.

$21 a night reflects the Passport America Rate. This park has so much to offer. It is right on the Suwannee River and you can rent kayaks and canoes there. They also have an on-site restaurant that is not fancy but is excellent. They have a heated pool, a conversation pool, and a hot tub. They have a number of activities including bingo, karaoke, live music, and trivia. They also have a track for those that have remote controlled cars and trucks that even has jumps. They have a fenced area for off leash. There is grass between all the sites and without a doubt this is the most friendly park we have ever stayed in. People wave and talk when you are at the pool. Monthly rates for winter are $350 a month and the rest of the year it is $250 and you pay for electricity. We will return here again and recommend it highly. Super park for dogs. There is a large dog park area. The springs are dog friendly,. We are in a 37' RV so stayed in new area. You must be very small to stay in the tree area. Great bike trails. It s a Suwanee river trail location, so great access for canoe and kayak entry and exit, It will be perfect in 10 years when trees in new area are bigger. 20 miles from a store, so be sure and get groceries before you arrive. You can purchase ice on site. Restaurant open on weekends only. Will return in fall. It was too hot in summer for us. We camped at Suwannee River Rendezvous in a Fifth Wheel.
