Very nice park, well maintained and laid out. Very helpful and friendly staff gave us directions since the Passport America book stated that we should not follow our GPS. Easy in/out with a pull through site. We only stopped here for one night but would definitely return in the future. Plenty of cable TV channels, WIFI a little iffy at times but worked fairly well overall however the park was not very full. Fantastic ice cream next to the office. We camped at Suwannee River Rendezvous in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There are several natural springs in the area. Kayak and canoe rentals were available here along with a "drop off/pick up" service should you want to cruise the river. Staff is very accommodating here.

I throughly enjoyed my week long stay here. The staff was friendly, the facilities were kept clean, the pool was heated, not very, but if you kept moving on a December afternoon then it was perfectly useable plus you can warm up in the very hot hotub afterwards. The older part (mostly used for tent and dry camping these days) is beautiful, lots of old trees and little spring that leads into the river. The recently updated part is still very new and lacking much in the way of landscaping (bushes etc have been planted, and in a year or three the landscaping will be much improved), but the full hook ups work well and the sites are level enough. Very pet friendly, both my dogs were welcomed as soon as I came on site, the dog run is clean and spacious and the dog washing station was a useful bonus. In addition there are usually events going on several times a week including live music, bingo, pigeon races etc. The only downside was that the wifi is very basic (email and light surfing, no streaming). Neither T-mobile or Verizon get much, if any, cell service. When I stayed it was mostly mid term residents who were working on the local pipe line with a small amount of snowbirds. Everyone kept their lots tidy and respected quiet time. We camped at Suwannee River Rendezvous in a Travel Trailer.

This was our fourth time there and once again, we were impressed with the service and friendliness of the staff and owners. We participated in a river cleanup that was sponsored by the owners. They provided us with the free use of their canoes and kayaks, garbage bags, pick-up sticks and shuttle service to/from the put-in spots. When we were done, participants got a free lunch at their snack bar. Later that night there was a band and Halloween costume contest - once again, all paid for by the owners. Wow! We stayed in the newer area and enjoyed the two pools and hot tub. Our only complaint was the complimentary wifi. The speed was extremely slow and the availabilty was sometimes non-existent. Hopefully they'll install some towers now that they've expanded the new campground. We camped at Suwannee River Rendezvous in a Motorhome.

Very nice park. Call ahead and do not pull larger RV to office. Old section for the smaller campers and primitive camping with a new sections up top with lots of room for any size unit. Lots of Snow birds. Nice pool area and individual bathrooms. Dog wash. Pigeon races, bingo, karaoke, onsite food. Great family atmosphere, very pet friendly. Owners were great and went out of their way to help when needed. We camped at Suwannee River Rendezvous in a Fifth Wheel.

We were evacuating from central Florida due to hurricane Matthew and this park had decent reviews and was in a safe area so we booked it. We were amazed! This is a beautiful, well-appointed RV park and even though it was full. The staff was friendly and everything was spotless. We have a new favorite! We camped at Suwannee River Rendezvous in a Motorhome.

One of the nicest RV parks we have encountered in our travels. The owners are very friendly and will assist you in any manner they can. Sites are very clean, easy to get to and have full hookups. Love the entire atmosphere of this park. Lots of parking, wonderful shaded lawn swings set along the Suwannee River to enjoy and they have a restaurant on site that is open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for guests who do not want to cook. We camped at Suwannee River Rendezvous in a Motorhome.

This a campground under renovation and the upgrades are quite noticeable. The pool area has not two but three swimming and spa areas. Nice large pavilion, nice level sites, small fishing pond, good roads. This is just in the newer portion of the campground. The older part is rustic but good size sites. Swimming in either the Suwannee River or Convict Springs. Nice camp store and the staff were great. During weekends and holidays there is a diner and other eating areas. The lodge area is pet friendly where your pets are welcome inside. For non-RVer they have multiple lodge type rentals and one of them will sleep ten people. Canoe and Kayak rentals as well as guided trips on the Suwannee. We camped at Suwannee River Rendezvous in a Motorhome.

I really loved this place and would have given it a 10 if the sites were cement instead of gravel and also the check-in process was awkward. Guess I'm being a little knit-picky. When I made the reservation they told us to go right to our site then come to the office to check-in. The signage wasn't very clear but it all worked out fine for us. The office was quite a trek in another section of the resort. The RV park is one section(more of an open area) and the other section with the office had cabins and tent camping and was very wooded and beautiful. There is a lodge that is very homey and welcoming. The owner and staff were super friendly and helpful. Our site was level and very long and since we only stayed one night we didn't even unhook our toad from the back of our 45' motorhome. There was enough space between each site. Each site was gravel with a cement patio surrounded by grass. There was a wooden picnic table and wooden lounge chairs at each site. I would definitely recommend this place. We camped at Suwannee River Rendezvous in a Motorhome.

We heard about this park at the Tampa RV Supershow and received some show special rates that we wanted to take advantage of while passing through the area as we were headed to the Florida panhandle. We used a combination of show specials and Passport America to reduce our nightly rate. It was one of the nicer Passport America parks we found in the area. Everything else was older and did not have great reviews. The owner purchased this park seven years ago and started a new big rig area four years ago. He is very agreeable and there to serve! The park is just a mile and a half north of Florida State Hwy 20, so it is easy in and easy out with no tree worries. This is extremely big rig friendly!! There are pull-through sites and back-in sites. If you want a pull-through site just ask. Since most of the services are relatively new there were no issues with them. The sites are roomy and some even have little areas that are covered by four posts and a metal roof. We camped at Suwannee River Rendezvous in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Mayo, Florida is in the middle of nowhere, but there is a Walmart and such about thirty minutes from the RV park. The older portion of the RV park is right on the Suwannee River. You can rent canoes and kayaks to traverse the river. There is also Convict Springs right by the river. When we were there the river had overflowed into the springs but it looked like it would be inviting when the river settles. There is a restaurant right on the property that is open later in the week.

Nice park with gravel sites of good size. The pool is excellant and kept very clean as is the whole park. The owners are very friendly and are in the process of expanding this park. There is an extra large park and the owners are pet friendly. The wifi needs to be worked on as service is slow to non operational at times. Cable was good for our purposes. Gravel sites that were an average size for our 42' 5th wheel. Not long enough to stayed hooked up and neighbors on each side were a little close.Could not get cable to work and wi-fi was spotty. Nice pool area and hot tub. Lots of construction and expansion going on so park was a little ragged looking. When new sites open I think park will seem pretty "crowded". Large dog park. Short walk to Suwanee River. Activities on the weekend and a cafe is open. Bike trail close by. Mayo is a few miles away and has a small grocery store. Would be ok for a few days but pretty remote for a long term stay. We camped at Suwannee River Rendezvous in a Fifth Wheel.

The old section of the park is considered convict springs where they have a natural spring coming out of the ground and feeding into the Suwanee River. They have cabins to rent and canoe and kayak rentals; also tent sites. There is a playground, corn hole, horse shoes, and an office with couches and a TV. They are very pet friendly and allow dogs into the office, convict springs and cabins. The front section is the new RV area, many large open sites; good water, electric, sewer, 30 and 50 amp. The roads are paved and the sites are paved too. There is a large fenced dog area. There is a heated pool, hot tub and a heated therapy pool. The restrooms are new and clean. They also have a place to bathe your dogs and a dryer to use on them. This is a very nice park, but not much to do in the area except dive in the springs, or canoe the river. I would come here again. We camped at Suwannee River Rendezvous in a Travel Trailer.
