This park allows their customers to install their RVs as they wish, front, backup, sides. So it looks disorganized on the first impression. There is no concrete; everyone is on grass or sand. The main disagreement of this park is their restrooms. We visit 2 units (loop A & B) and it is the same: the showers are disgusting with so much mildew around the shower's floor and plastic curtain. Eh, you can get a shower curtain at 1$ at Dollar Tree! I made a complaint to an employee and to the main office, and the day after nothing has changed. It's a shame that this agreeable park doesn't take care of the cleanliness of their installations. I hope to read further comments in the future saying that things has changed for better. We camped at Wickham Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

50 amp, FHU site. Wifi was sporadic this year for some reason. Over 50 OTA TV signals available. We have stayed here many times over the years and it is a beautiful park with many activities available. Our complaints would be the large rundown homeless population setups we see throughout the park. While I realize that these folks need a place to stay it is distressing to see so many here in a time of very low unemployment. Since the snowbirds with reservations began to arrive the homeless population decreased toward the end of October. We have stayed in several Brevard County parks and this one seems to have a very lax attitude towards rule enforcement. Even when I reported some violations to the staff nothing was done about the situation and that is annoying. Why have rules if you don't want to enforce them? Speeding through the campground is also an unenforced problem area so if you have children be careful here. We camped at Wickham Park Campground in a Motorhome.

There are many things to do in the area with plentiful shopping nearby. The Kennedy Space Center is about 25 miles away and Orlando with all its attractions is an hour away. The King Center just up the road has an assortment of shows available.

Great campsite as long as you are not next to one of the long term homeless that use a selection of tarps to cover their worldly belongings. We were unlucky. There are some great sites overlooking the lake, and others that are wide and long, it is just luck on which site you get. The launderette only had three machines and was hot with no air or opening windows, not perfectly clean. There are great bike paths around the park plus swimming lakes in the summer. We would stay again and hope we don’t have the tarp view from our door. We camped at Wickham Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Our space was really big (lots of variance throughout park), relatively smooth and level. Park is reasonably dark and quiet at night except when adjacent ball field has events and turns on their lights, still not bad. Hardly any traffic noise. We camped at Wickham Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Local Publix grocery is nice but seems a little pricey. Lots of restaurants nearby on adjacent Wickham Road. Try Petty's meat market a few miles north on Wickham Road for lots of selection and friendly service. Gas stations nearby but might be tight for larger motorhomes (unsure if they have diesel).

The park overall is a gem. Unfortunately, they have a large homeless population living there in tents and run down motorhomes. Many tents are covered in blue tarps. And these folks have everything they own out on display for all to see, meaning junk everywhere. We did not have any problems while there, but living among a junkyard did not make it enjoyable. We will not return as long as the tent city is still there. We camped at Wickham Park Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed 6 days at this well groomed park. Lots of shade. Spaces were well-spaced. We stayed in B section. All sites were grassed and mostly level. We couldn't see our neighbors for the shrubbery. Very quiet. The only downside was a moderate number of tent campers, some of which were using blue tarps (obvious homeless doing their best to cope). We met and talked with a few of them and found them friendly. Police visited one site during our stay and that was a bit on the loud side. We would be happy to visit there again and plan to do so in the future. We camped at Wickham Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Large county park in a residential area with a college campus and performing arts center adjacent on the north. Road access is good. Sites are of random size, some large, some tight. Hookups (full) seem to also vary in location from site to site. Site surface is sand/dirt/grass and some seem a bit lumpy. Many sites occupied by long stay seasonal campers. We were there for 3 nights. Would come back for another concert. 34' Motorhome. We camped at Wickham Park Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a great park in the Melbourne area. The park has numerous trails and ponds. The staff was friendly. The office does not open for check-in until the 2PM check-in time. The spaces are back-in except for a few pull thru handicap spots. Some of the sites are very large and allow for creativity in placement of your RV. We had site #7 and we pulled in parallel to the road instead of backing in. This allowed us to open our awning facing away from the road with a great view of a nearby pond, and palmetto bush clusters. With this setup, we did not see any other campers. Sites 5-10 all appear to be large enough to offer this creativity. We did not use the bath house, so we can not comment on it. We camped at Wickham Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Showers had a bit of mold in the nearest bath so we used our RV shower. However, in spite of this minor annoyance this park is wonderful and the third time we have stopped; this time for 3 months. Mostly very large spaces and excellent FHU services. Office staff is great and there are a lot of park activities and great restaurrants and local groceries nearby. Note: There is no propane company that will come to this park. There is also "the wickham shuffle" where rvs are moved frequently to other sites..."the computer is the problem". we moved three times even though two of the reservations were made 2/16. But the park itself makes this almost acceptable. We camped at Wickham Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Cape Canaveral and Ron Jons are 20 miles away and the beach is about 15 minutes east. There is also a Planet Fitness a few miles away and Publix, walmart are a few minutes away. Also some excellent vegetable and hispanic food stores are close as are many Veterans clubs. Great park for bicycling and multiple lakes for fishing, although I saw fishermen but no fish.

This park came as a complete surprise. We had visited other RV parks along the east coast in the Cocoa Beach area, and they were almost all relics from the height of the space age. We were fortunate to get a 3 week reservation in late August. This park has something for everyone. As our stay was over the Christmas holidays, there is a light show around the park which attracts visitors from all over the area. Lots of activities and great restaurants around the area. We have a 5 week reservation for 2017/2018. We camped at Wickham Park Campground in a Motorhome.

This review is for area C of the campground; I would have rated area A and B much higher. Area C is tightly packed and you need very long sewer hoses to connect. Everything worked and the wifi was good, but the ambience was bad. Many of the campers had multiple vehicles parked everywhere and there were a lot of people living in tents. One night the police were called to break up a disturbance...not fun. The park itself is great, just make sure you book either A or B loop. We camped at Wickham Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Very nice park with huge sites. Many people had their rv's in the sites parked sideways. Hookups were in a good spot and 50 amp power was stable. Our site was fairly level with a combination of sand and grass. Wifi was spotty but worked when we stood by the bathrooms. Was easy to get a sattelite dish signal but still had some trees for shade. Would stay here again. We camped at Wickham Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We were looking for a park convenient to family we were visiting in Melbourne. We're self contained and don't use the facilities. We stayed on weeknights in October.

This is a very nice park. The sites are relatively large and arrayed in a large field with some trees for shade at least part of the day. Most have full hookups, there's a section with primitive sites. The sites are level and mostly grass/sand. The free wifi was usable for email and internet, not for streaming. There was good ATT and Verizon cell coverage. We camped at Wickham Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Loved the price, and we were expecting far less than what we received in terms of a comfortable site. It was very spacious, with a picnic table, full hook up and lighted pedestal. All sites are located conveniently near showers and laundry. Interior roads are paved and easy to maneuver. The park itself, outside the campground, has a dog park, playground, horse corral, fishing, and more amenities that we couldn't experience given our 8-day stay. The one negative thing that lowered the rating I gave for service, was that we could not receive mail. As full timers we depend on the kindness of our camp hosts to allow our mail to be forwarded there; this was a first. I would have given less stars for service due to that, but to be fair, the office staff were very kind and made a fuss over my little dog, which is always a plus!
