Small RV park located on a waterway near Pensacola. We had a pull in site with a view of the water. Site was level. WiFi worked OK most of the time (slow). The park was convenient to Pensacola, but a long way from the beach unless you wanted to take the toll road. Plenty of shops in nearby Milton. We had FHU's and all works well. We camped at Avalon Landing RV Park in a Motorhome.

A small, nicely maintained CG just south of I-10, "over the water" from Pensacola. Friendly staff. Sites are gravel and asphalt amid landscaped grass, FHU/30/50. Tiny pool, no spa, laundry ($1.50 wash, $1.00 dry), pet areas, canoe rental, asphalt roads, no camp store, small rec room (TV and chairs), boat launch. We camped at Avalon Landing RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

I-10 is about a quarter mile north. Go west to the north side of Pensacola. Lots to do with plenty of restaurants. The Naval Aviation Museum and Pensacola Lighthouse are on the Pensacola Naval Air Station. $5.00 to climb the lighthouse, flip-flop and open-heeled shoes prohibited. Museum is free admission and is very impressive. You'll need picture ID to get onto the base. Use the West Gate only (they'll turn you around at the East gate).

We were parked on the west side portion of the park which seems to be the older part, the sites on in the east side are a little nicer. Our site was back in, gravel pad with a patch of grass and picnic table. Full hookups, cable and WiFi are included. The bathrooms are clean and the park is well maintained. Service is terrific, as some reviewers have indicated, we were given very comprehensive information at check in regarding shopping, restaurants and attractions. Just off I-10 on the east side of Escambia Bay. We camped at Avalon Landing RV Park in a Motorhome.

Unusual park in that you have to return to the highway and go to another road to access half of the park that is across a creek. The sites are gravel, level and well defined. The utilities are close and good. It's a very nice park but somewhat overpriced in my opinion as there is little in the immediate area to interest us. Also many long term residents are evident, probably most are snowbirds. We camped at Avalon Landing RV Park in a Motorhome.

I love this small park. It is split into two sections with a waterway dividing the two. There is a nice walkway across the water. Sites are flat, either gravel or concrete. Each has a picnic table. There is no dog run. Wifi seemed adequate. We camped at Avalon Landing RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice park, it is especially convenient to I10. The park is no resort but is well maintained and clean. The sites are level gravel with concrete patios. On site fishing is license free and several folks were catching crab and fish. The park is divided into by a canal. The office is in the first half with a small pool and TV room. Two foot bridges connect the halves of the park. The second half, I think best of the two, has a different entrance. Once checked in you must return to the highway for a couple of hundred yards to enter the second part of the campground. Not a problem but at night it is difficult to see the entrance. It's convenient to Pensacola and all the attractions there. We would stay here again. We camped at Avalon Landing RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Wendy at the front desk is oh so helpful. We stayed here and it was very crowded but Wendy worked out a plan that enabled us to stay the time we needed. Beautiful park on a Florida back bay. It was impressive to see the pelicans diving for fish. We camped at Avalon Landing RV Park in a Motorhome.

From the reservation to the arrival...AWESOME! When making the reservation Wendy addressed EVERYTHING in that one phone call. This park was well thought out and planned. When you arrive not only do they give you a map of local happenings, stores, beaches, and attractions but they also give you written directions to all the spots, so just plug the address it into the GPS. The park is clean, well maintained, and it shows. Our site looked out over the water and the pedestrian bridge (fishing is allowed), it is level (gravel) with a picnic table. Laundry and showers are very clean. We will definitely stay here again! We camped at Avalon Landing RV Park in a Motorhome.

The $50 rate was what we were charged for 2 nights after we came in 2 days early on a reservation. The campground was not full, and they could have just started our month early, but did not. I would say this is a great place to overnight, but I'm not a fan for long term stays. The park has no activities for residents - even Thanksgiving. They did not allow us to put up a non floored 10x10 screen room to enjoy the out doors bug free. Felt a bit "Stepfordian" to us. Summary - nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. We camped at Avalon Landing RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice clean and well maintained park. Our site backed up to the water. We especially enjoyed being able to launch our kayaks right there in the park. Very nice, calm, scenic, river to paddle in.

We were running ahead of schedule and called to see if we could check in a day early, but after normal hours. No problem, check in packet was waiting for us when we arrived. We camped at Avalon Landing RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Close to Pensacola where the Blue Angels are stationed and there a huge Navy Museum worth seeing. If heading to the beach be aware of Hwy 281 south has tolls both ways of $3.75. There are alternate routes.

Nice park very close to I-10 with easy in and out. Level concrete pads that are adequate size. Very clean and owners are very friendly and helpful. Only concerns were that the Wi-Fi is weak and not a great park for walking the dogs.

We would stop here again. We camped at Avalon Landing RV Park in a Motorhome.

Quiet, easy access, convenient to Milton and Pensacola, very well maintained, attractive waterfront spaces, boat ramp, and dock-fishing on-site. A good relaxing one-night stop along our journey, and a place we'd come back to anytime. There are no trains and very little highway traffic after hours. The park is pet-friendly and everyone has pets with them. It is very well maintained with well manicured grounds and convenient hook-ups. We camped at Avalon Landing RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Gas and supplies right at the I-10 ramp no more than 1/4 mile north. Pensacola is 25-30 minutes west along I-10 and has the full slate of stores, repair facilities, entertainment, and fine dining. Avoid rush hours as Avalon Blvd. can get busy at times.

There are 2 levels to this park. We stayed in a long pull through in the upper level. The site was wide enough to open our slides and awning without any problems. The picnic table is on a concrete slab and the RV is on level gravel. The two sections of the park are connected with a foot bridge. Each level has its own bathrooms, showers and laundry facilities which were spotless. The park is close to stores and a short ride to Pensacola. We had a great stay and would definitely return next time we're in that neck of the woods. We camped at Avalon Landing RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
