We had a very pleasant stay. The sites are spacious and utilities work great. Lots were gravel which you park on with a nice concrete pad. Were very level. We were very happy with this campground. Laundry was only $1.50 and $1.00 for dry. Propane on site was Very Reasonably. They are not out to rip you off. The workers and owner I can't say enough about how friendly they were. Plenty of room to maneuver our 40' 5er. No problem handling big rigs. We plan on staying there again when visiting the area. We camped at Avalon Landing RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Great location on little Indian Bayou. We were parked right on the water and there is a walking bridge that connects both sides of the park. The staff here is excellent and very friendly. They have canoes and kayaks for rent to take out on the bayou($5 for 3 hours) and will lend you fishing poles if needed. Restrooms and Showers are very clean. The only reason we didn't give them a 10 on the review is due to price. $47/night with Good Sam is a little on the pricey side for us, but you do get what you pay for and they have a very nice park. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay. We camped at Avalon Landing RV Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $45.00

We needed to stop for the night after 11 hours of driving in route to our destination. We travel with 5 small dogs, who are well behaved, and also had our 2 year old grandson with us. Another "pet friendly" park, we had stayed at in the past, turned us away b/c they had changed their pet policy. We didn't know what to do so, and was exhausted. I called Avalon, expecting them to also deny us. Instead the lady I spoke with in the office was very pleasant and welcoming. Since we'd arrive after office hours she gave me our site number. The park is close to the I-10 exit, which was very convenient. We stayed the night and the park was quiet and appeared well maintained. I would stay there again without a doubt. We camped at Avalon Landing RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We found this park to be well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. The sites are very level. Our pull in spot was very level. The blacktop road and walkway over the water are great for walking. We camped at Avalon Landing RV Park in a Motorhome.

We loved this park. We only stayed one night. The park is pristine and beautiful. Site was level, gravel and we were right on the water next to the boat ramp. It was very quiet. It was very easy to make a reservation and we immediately received a text message with a confirmation, directions, site # and the managers personal phone number in case we needed anything. We arrived very late and it was dark but we had no issue. Hook ups were well maintained and easy to use. We would definitely stay here again. It is too bad that we only stayed one night. We camped at Avalon Landing RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Small place in two parts. On the water and next to a ecological preserve. Lady at desk and guy who guided me to my site were both very nice and friendly. Some long-term people but they have all their stuff neat and their areas well decorated and cared for. Level gravel pad with concrete pad next to it with picnic table. Could not get logged on to wifi but didn't try more than once. Very quiet area, long-term people were friendly and talkative. Wish they would fence off a small area for a dog run to let your dog off leash for a bit. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Avalon Landing RV Park in a Motorhome.

Beautiful little park. Owner/managers very helpful and obviously proud of their park. We were in Avalon West backed up to the little lagoon. restrooms were spotless, laundry also spotless. Both are handicapped accessible). There were two individual shower/commode units that shared the laundry building. We were led to our site and guided into the site (it was a back-in and we were very close to the water). A great place for waterfowl viewing and fishing off the bridge that connects the east and west sides of the park. No traffic noise despite the park's proximity to I10. Shopping, restaurants and attractions within a few miles (Naval Air Museum at Pensacola and Blackwater River State Park, for example). We were given area maps and directions to attractions, restaurants, and shopping at check-in. Plenty of room for walking around and enjoying the area. We camped at Avalon Landing RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Many restaurants within about 25 miles. Near National Aviation Air Museum, Gulf Coast beaches, Historic Pensacola, Blackwater River State Park. Plenty of shopping. There is an RV Service Center about 15 miles away and, if you need service, Dixie RV is about 40 miles east in Defuniak Springs, FL.

Asphalt interior roads, packed gravel contained in concrete curbs, concrete patio and walkway along rig with picnic table. Some sites face forward with a nice view of Indian Bayou. Wifi very slow. Easy ride to Pensacola-close to shopping. We had difficulty with other reservations and the folks here were very accommodating and helped us out. We stayed here in a motor home and would stay again.
