4 Parks near Moore Haven, Florida
Mar 2015 - $15.00
The park is very open with spacious sites, all back-in. Mostly seasonal snowbird residents, but all very friendly. There is not much to do in the area except fishing but this is the perfect place to relax and unwind. The only downside is lack of a pool. Good Wi-Fi, but no AT&T service, others might have better reception. - Oldbillm
Feb 2015 - $15.00
Nice park, mostly permanent sites. Stayed for five nights, owners were very nice and they took Passport America during the winter!! Not much nearby, but we enjoyed the peace and quiet. Very friendly campers here. - Landyachty
Jan 2013 - $25.00
If you're looking for a nice, quiet campground, this is it. It's out in the country, and you hear cows and roosters! Unfortunately, its also a drive to do any shopping, Clewiston having the closest WalMart, or Okeechobee for more shopping selection. There is an Indian casino about 10 minutes up the road that has great penny slot machines! Wi-fi was free but kept disconnecting and couldn't get re-connected. About half are permanent trailers. We used PA for 1 week, regular rate for 2nd week. - pandcallen

We spent an unanticipated three nights here while awaiting delivery of a part from Tiffin due to a faulty sensor from our DEF tank. Were in a "pull thru" site, which is mostly grass with a concrete slab on part of the site. Not many winter people had yet arrived for the season, but the manager told me they expected to be full over the winter. The park overall is flat, without landscaping, and not that impressive, but the manager and workers were simply wonderful, eager to help out in any way. We were led to our site by looping around a very narrow long road, glad someone was there to guide us. Trash goes in a dumpster in the back of the park. You are in the middle of nowhere here, surrounded by cattle fields, about 8 miles north of Moore Haven. A reasonable stopping point when traveling down U.S. 27 heading for the Keys, or vice versa. We would return. - M&M

Price reflects a monthly rate with electric. There is nothing around. I mean nothing. Mostly snowbirds. We stayed for a month. Picked this place because we were going on a cruise from Miami and it was a good place to leave the rv with electric. Convenient to go to either coast. An hour to Ft Myers. The downside was the water. It had a terrible iron color to it. We had to change out all our water filters twice.
We were told when I made reservtions we would be in a deluxe site. They squeezed us into a very tight spot. The street was small and narrow with cars and trucks parked in front of rigs on the street. The host had to go door to door to ask people to move their cars so we could back in. But they did have a back lot to park our trailer and didn't charge us for that.
The highway noise is a big minus. Truck traffic all night from Hwy 27. - burtonsbuggy

Some of the sites are paved and some are grass-gravel with a paved patio. We were assigned a grass-gravel one probably because were short term (two weeks) or Passport. Not every site has a picnic table but if you ask for one they will bring you one. They had good wifi at my site and it was free when we were here, but starting 2015 they are going to start charging for wifi at the sites. The people working here are very friendly and helpful. - jhav

This park is not a resort unless you are a golf lover. Even then that is pushing it. Shower areas are filthy and scary to shower in. Laundry is very small both areas have only 4 washers. Power goes off all the time here without warning. Not very good for electronics in the unit. When water is working the pressure is very poor. Park is over 15 miles to the nearest grocery store so laying in supplies is a must. Office staff makes up rules as they go. Policies change constantly without notice to anyone. I would not stay in this joke of a park again. - cowboysailor

Are you kidding; run from this place if you want your sanity. This park is said to be in Moore Haven, but that is the furthest town from the park. You are 20 minutes from any town. The people who run the park have no clue what they are doing. The office is only open Monday - Friday from 10 am - 5 pm. They do not carry any RV supplies of any kind. They have an overpriced restaurant, golf course and the campers plan the activities not the employees. Things break down and they do not fix it. Our electric meter was broken and instead of fixing it, they decided on a flat rate to just charge us. The staff is more than clueless on how to bill and what they are doing. While we were here, the power and water went out together with no notice and no one was informed as to why, but the entire park was out. The spaces are nice, but no one obeys the rules. Dogs run without leashes. People who have camped here every winter for the past 10 years are not going to be returning to this park. I would avoid this park at all costs. No one even knows who the owners are. - dkjellander
Mar 2015 - $34.00
Over all a nice park. But like most RV parks their web site pictures are not a true representation of what is here. Plenty of things to do here, golfing, driving range, scheduled activities and a marina for the inter-coastal waterway. Our grass site was level but dropped off near the rear causing us to park with our door about 6 feet in front of the cement pad. Park rules do not allow outside mats so tracking grass inside was a problem. We could only use our small outside door mat.
Office personal were nice and were able to recommend a hair salon that did a great job on coloring my wife's hair.
Sites are large and all are back in. Very quiet park with friendly people. Dog friendly and most people abide by the lease rules. No problem with dogs here, very dog friendly.
The only negative - we had two instances of loss of water. Both times fixed quickly. - ETB
Apr 2009 - $18.00
We kind of enjoyed this park for 2 nights. Inspite of the fact that it is out in the middle of nowhere, rundown and needs upgrading, we had a nice view of the estuary and enjoyed slamming the fish-cleaning house door to attract the large alligators to the dock. Also, a great wetlands bird-watching place. Some of the seasonal people were still there who were very friendly and told us that the park is almost full during season. They have a great clubhouse where they had an ice cream social and a resident bluegrass jam session. We would return for a few nights again if we are ever in the area. - Desertqueensb

Park appears to be For Sale, Very rundown, low voltage power. Laundry all but defunct. Would not step foot in restrooms, let alone use them. No windbreaks makes a very windy park. Could barely see bottom of 4 ft swimming pool. Many, old, rundown RV's in this park. Only hard stand sites are in the parking lot, the rest is sand and gravel. There is no security gate so anyone can drive in. Water pressure is good. Club house but no activities that we could see. Fish cleaning house and boat docks. Park is very isolated with nothing around for several miles. We would not stay here again. It was a reduced rate park through RPI. - retditto
