We ended up at this campground after checking out a neighboring campground where we had reservations, but after inspecting it decided to leave. The office staff was accommodating when I called to check availability. With our plans changing upon arrival, we were not sure if we were going to stay two days or longer. The manager said you stay two days and then decide and come back and pay me. Who says that? The sites are mostly pull-thru and were long enough for our fifth wheel and tow vehicle, sand driveways with a concrete patio. The sites are wide enough for pull-outs and extra space between neighbors. There are palms between sites but not in the way when maneuvering. The campground itself is large with a number of long term residents and a few permanent residences tucked here and there. Overall neat and not "junky" as with some other locations with permanent residences. There are cute log cottages on the edge of the campground for rent. The campground roads are also sand but nice and wide. There are two laundry's on site at $1.50 per use. The swimming pool is very nice and clean. There is a playground, but it was roped off from use (not sure why, perhaps because the area was very muddy from recent heavy rains). Grocery store, shopping, restaurants, and beach are a short drive. Our only complaint was an evening of loud partying past quiet hours in one of the rental cabins near our site. The revelers left the next morning, so all was good. We camped at New Smyrna Beach Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Nightly rate is based on one month @ $495 plus electric. We have been here for three months while we renovate a home in New Smyrna Beach. We have found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Almost all sites are pull-through with picnic tables. Some have concrete patios but most do not. Shoes off at the door helps a lot. Quiet sites, clean bathrooms and showers. The pool is sparkling clean and a very comfortable temperature. Haven't tried the cable but WiFi is fine for emails and internet searching. We would recommend to friends. We camped at New Smyrna Beach Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a Publix, Walgreens, post office and fast food right up the street. Of course, the drive-on beach ($10/day) in New Smyrna is only five miles away. You can rent a little scooter car or golf cart to check out the beach and surrounding locale. There is always something happening on Flagler Avenue on the weekend; festivals, wine walks, arts and crafts shows. Restaurants abound. Come to the beach and have some fun!

My visit was just after Hurricane Matthew went through the area. The staff were great, accommodating my 40 ft MH in an area that had already been cleared of debris. Rustic surroundings, gravel parking spot with some grassy areas. Power was fluctuating because of power line work in the area, but phone service (signal) and internet were bad. Others I spoke with in the park stated they had spent prior visits there and it was better, so maybe the storm affected the communication services. Nice location south of Daytona, close to the water (10 min) and an easy find from I-95. We camped at New Smyrna Beach Campground in a Motorhome.

Very friendly and helpful with all our concerns. The park was in great shape. We came a couple of weeks after the hurricane; they lost about 40 trees, but you would never know it. They had shaded and open sites. We had no complaints, we would go back in a heart beat. We camped at New Smyrna Beach Campground in a Motorhome.

We went to a couple of great restaurants. One was The Norwood Treehouse. Awesome place and the next was The Garlic Restaurant. That was the main reason for the long weekend trip. Go on line and check them out. Fantastic !

Rate is monthly not including electric. Reasonable!

This park is not terrible but deserves a pros and cons;

Sites are large and mostly pull thrus BUT the landscaping is in terrible shape and the sites are very dirty. Some people a few sites down who used to come here a lot left due to the conditions.

Restrooms are very clean BUT are old and worn and hit and miss if you get hot water.

Has play ground, shuffle board and basketball BUT they have not been cleaned in a long time and are not usable.

The office is open and staffed BUT I disagree with others in that they are borderline rude.

The laundries are open air, clean and well kept BUT the machines are old and need replaced.

Cable is pretty good BUT seems to be rebooting a lot.

WiFi is available and good most of the time BUT as the park fills up and in the evening it really slows down.

The pool is very nice, clean and well kept BUT not heated and very cold. Not usable this time of year.

This is the first park in 4 years of travel that we did not make new friends. Very clickish.

I am not really that picky but did not enjoy our month stay here. Probably will not come back. We camped at New Smyrna Beach Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

If you have a dog the dunes beach park at the end of S. Peninsula Ave is very nice and dog friendly. $10 per visit or $20 for seasonal pass.

The interior dirt/sand roads are the worst we've ever seen with many holes apparently caused by the early season flooding. They are badly in need of a road grader. The manager drags a `box' around but that only fills in the small holes. There is no need for a 5 mph speed limit because the holes will not allow any faster speed. We camped at New Smyrna Beach Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We came in after their unusual office hrs of 8:30-4:30 and chose one of the 5 sites made available. The CG has an old FL atmosphere with sand and some grass in level sites. But there were several issues: The sewer connection was all the way to the rear and even with an extension we couldn't reach it. So the pull thru turned out to be a hassle as we had to unhook and back up to connect. Cable TV did not work. The Wifi thru Tengo wanted an email to send the coupon code which I assume we would have received during their business hours. Inconvenient and easer to use the iPhone. Excellent electrical power, quiet but needs a little maintenance to make it more than just an overnite destination. There are some open sites in the rear which may eliminate some of these problems. We camped at New Smyrna Beach Campground in a Motorhome.

The manager who checked us in was very friendly and made us feel very comfortable. Like it was mentioned in other reviews, the Wi-Fi was very slow, even though we were about as close to the office as possible. I was surprised there wasn't a camp store on site, but we were very close to shopping etc. The restrooms and showers were probably the cleanest I've ever seen, and the laundry facilities looked good. The only other thing we missed was being able to have a campfire. No wood fires were allowed. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at New Smyrna Beach Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We used this park as a place for the rig while we were visiting friends in NSB, so we didn’t use the facilities much, and only slept in the coach 2 nights out of the week we were there. Staff was friendly and helpful, especially as we arrived after hours (our materials were taped to the door) and we had to check in the following morning. We were in the rear of the park, past the treed section and in the open, grassy area. This made getting a satellite signal a breeze, but apparently we fell off the edge of the world according to Verizon, as neither voice nor data worked well (came back by the time we got to the office). Interior roads are sandy and relatively narrow, but well-packed even under puddles from recent rains and we had no issues with our 45’ rig plus toad. Our site was all grass, 80+ feet long, and level, and we had no problems with a 43,000 pound coach sinking in. I did spread powder for ants before we parked, just in case. We camped at New Smyrna Beach Campground in a Motorhome.

Off the beaten path a little bit. The park is in an older section of town. The ride to the beach is about 10 minutes by vehicle and 30 minutes by bicycle. You will need to ride on a well-traveled road with no bike lanes for about a half mile. The campground pool was clean. They also have a playground for children, but it needed to be cleaned up. The sites are grass and most have picnic tables. There are many pull through sites. The roads in the park are packed lime rock. Wi-Fi is not available contrary to the website. There is another campground right up the road from this one that we would consider staying at only because of the bike riding issue. We camped at New Smyrna Beach Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Agree with past posts. Gravel/shell ended up in truck and camper. Office staff very nice and helpful. Beach was a pay for access system for vehicles. Much too overbuilt for my taste. Campground was an overnighter for us. We camped at New Smyrna Beach Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate reflects Good Sam discount. Pros: Staff and guests very friendly. As noted in an earlier review, the front part of the park is very shady, and the back part of the park is sunny, grassy and larger sites Cons: As noted in earlier reviews, all roads and sites are unpaved (crushed shells) and are very dusty, though everyone really observed the 5 mph speed limit in the park. Sites and access are a little tight for larger motorhomes but doable. Wi-Fi had strong signal but was so slow it was almost unusable. Verizon 3G only and weak. AT&T cellular also weak. No digital HD stations on campground cable, but several HD stations are available over-the-air. We camped at New Smyrna Beach Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed one week and found this to be a very nice campground. The roads and sites are sand and gravel. The pull through sites were easy in and out. Out site was a little narrow, but we booked one week in advance. The larger sites go fast to the snowbirds. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The campground is convenient to shopping, the local beaches, Daytona Beach, and Cape Canaveral. We paid the weekly rate. We will come back to stay longer next year. We camped at New Smyrna Beach Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Second time staying at this park for a month. There’s a sunny side and a shady side for monthly stays, we enjoy the sunny side. Restrooms/Showers always clean, close to grocery and supplies, staff very friendly, pool is wonderful. Cable is OK, TV signal not good. Close to a County Dog Park, but no pet facilities. Close enough to the beach for us. Typical of Florida campgrounds, you’re on a sandy/grass base which is level and the streets are crushed shell. (People that complain would complain that the blacktop or concrete is cracked everywhere because, IT’S ON SAND!) Would definitely stay here again. We camped at New Smyrna Beach Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Sites are level and long enough. Although, our site (#20) was narrower than most. They have a maintenance person; however, lots of brush/branches litter the grounds. The mini-golf area is rundown and falling apart. It is an eyesore that is very near the front of the CG. Pool was heated (as advertised). Our kids enjoyed the playground. Laundry facilities are very good and efficient (you can dry two wash-loads in one dryer). The Wi-Fi is weak (as was our Verizon 3G hotspot and phone signal). The staff is friendly and courteous. We stayed here for over one week, and, under the right circumstances, we would return. We camped at New Smyrna Beach Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
