9 Parks near North Fort Myers, Florida
Feb 2014 - $20.00
Ok..when we pulled into the park we were really disappointed because of the old mobile homes parked in this park. Our comment was "this is where old mobile homes come to die". But, we were scheduled here for 2 weeks so we just parked and thought we would make the best of it. Turns out we had a great time and the people were friendly and the laundry had the newest washer/dryers I've seen in a long time and only $1.25 per load, but only 2 washers and 2 dryers. Our spot had a concrete (space 70) patio fairly good sized but overlooked backside of old, added on trailer but no one was looking into our unit so we felt private. Best news was the internet worked just great (4-5 bars)and it was free and could use it in our RV. Direct TV worked great also. Quiet park, not any children around that I saw. Only 1 block from grocery store was great too. Not the 'richest' part of North Ft. Myers but we felt safe and okay. Great place to stay cheaply (Passport America rates) and be centrally located to visit all the sites and beaches around the area. So, looks can be deceiving sometimes. - kemosabe
Feb 2012 - $17.00
Passport America rate is $17 including tax. Older mobile home/rv park in a very quiet neighborhood on a dead-end street. Park is very neat and clean and well maintained. There are older units but they are neat. People were very quiet and friendly. The manager lives on site and is very helpful. We were in a pull-through next to the office and had good Wi-Fi. There are sites for 40' rigs and back in sites with shade. The laundry was small but convenient and the least costly I have found on this trip. It is pet friendly for small dogs on leashes. It is only 4 miles into Fort Meyers. Hook-ups were good. Shopping plaza with grocery and other shops within walking distance. No cable TV but lots of stations with antenna. Roads are paved. There is a community room with TV, pool table, book exchange, and kitchen available. Would stay here again. - mvano
Jan 2011 - $17.00
This park is a little rough around the edges. However, it is a real value during the snowbird season with our Passport America discount. There are quite a few older permanent units with about half of them looking pretty rough. The people in the park, however, were as welcoming and pleasant as could be, and I felt generally comfortable here. The manager was easy to work with and accommodating. It is an older park, however, it was clean and quiet being at the end of the road. Don't look for extras at this park. However, it did have a clean and well kept laundry facility with two washers and two dryers, so don't expect to do all your laundry at one time. WI-FI like at many parks was only available when next to the office. - bandirector
Jan 2016 - $30.00
Small, but quiet. Gravel roads with level grass spots, all older run down mobile homes. Owners are nice and friendly. No amenities but the price was right. - esta34950
Jan 2016 - $56.00
Spaces were built for 25-30' trailers years ago. 40' motorhomes or 5th wheelers should not be accepted. No gravel on the sites. We are sitting in a sea of mud right now. The ruts have eroded away next to the pad so the coach sits down in a hole and the mud makes it hard to level. I would not stay here again. - FriarBill
Mar 2015 - $1.00
Park is located with easy access off I-75. Mainly permanent sites with some RV spaces around the park. We were put in a site that required me to drive in and butt up to a trailer that was in front of me. Hookups required a second 15 foot sewer hose to reach hookup. Good 50 amp power and water pressure remained stable. Grassy site with picnic table on concrete patio, but these were showing there age and heavy usage. Grocery stores, RV Dealerships all within 15 minutes. Interior roads are narrow and tight. - Tomandgloria
Mar 2015 - $59.00
The first misleading thing about this campground is that they call themselves an RV Resort. Far from it. The better and honest description would be to say this is a campground. An old and tired one at that. There are no border lines between the RV lots and they are spaced extremely tightly together. The back end of the neighbor's RV in front of us was barely 3 feet away from our windshield. The hookups are all over the place. The neighbor's sewer dump was right beside our patio, which made for a nice view while eating outside. Eating outside is a hit and miss because not every spot does have a picnic table. When we asked about this at the office they replied "we do not have enough".
This campground does have 700+ sites of which 200+ sites are park homes. There is only one swimming pool for the entire campground. The campground is clean and the people are friendly. There is a very large population of French Canadians in this park. Nothing wrong with that and if you speak some French, even better. The campground was nearly full. This makes for a captive audience which will have to accept what is being offered to them. We stayed here for a week since there was nothing else available in the area. For us, next time, this could be a good overnight spot. No more. I would rather pay more to be in a nicer park. - Olivia Las Vegas
Jan 2016 - $70.00
Nice clean park with very friendly people. Sites are adequate size with concrete parking pads. Nice clubhouse but it needs a drinking fountain. They advertise free wifi but it works poorly. Hard to get a connection and when you finally get on you usually get disconnected within a few minutes. Nice pickle ball court and shuffleboard courts. Bocci ball court poorly maintained. Nice pool but overly crowded when we were there. - Crusin'
Jan 2016 - $70.00
This is a very nice 55+ park. They do allow pets, but are very restrictive on where you can walk. Only around your site, or outside of the park. Our dog did not like this park! You must drive your dog to the outside of the park if you want to do any walking. The management was very nice, and escorted us to our site, and even assisted in backing us up. Wifi is available and was good. All of the residents were very friendly too. This park was jam packed, as are all the parks in the Fort Myers/North Fort Myers area, in Winter. We were lucky to find a spot at all! Good interior roads and level site. Park is clean and well maintained. Sites were pretty roomy, considering how crowded this place is. Yes, we would stay here again. - Vicki K
Aug 2014 - $61.00
Park is very clean and well kept. People are very friendly and sociable. If you are a pet owner I would not recommend this park. It is not pet friendly. You are not permitted to walk your pet except outside the park or directly behind your unit. We were not told of this policy prior to our arrival. Our pet is part of our family and we certainly wouldn't have come here. - Jack Martin
Jul 2015 - $40.00
First off, this is a snowbird park, so in season it is full capacity and expensive. 1200 a month+elec. We stayed from 3-1-15 through 8-1-15. The park is very nice and clean and the folks are friendly. There is a nice nature trail for walking along with a nice Gym, and rec room. They were installing the new pool and it wasn't finished before we left, but it was going to be a walk in style pool. Sites are great. Level, clean, all hookups. Wifi is sketchy at best. Its was constant struggle while we were there. Depending on location of your site you may or may not have access. And even with a good signal its constantly losing internet connection. Overall though it is a nice park and close to everything Lee County has to offer. - Mikele
Jul 2015 - $40.00
Under construction with a New swimming pool going in. New showers and bathrooms. Clean facility with a great staff. Good Verizon LTE cell service. Older campground with mature trees that is has been completely revamped. Site is Level with gravel parking and large concrete patio. Picnic table freshly painted. - MIL-SAT
Apr 2015 - $50.00
Rate reflects a week's stay. Pros : well-kept and clean facilities, easy access to and in the park with our larger RV, employee who assisted us in parking was excellent, quiet at night, very pet friendly. Cons: close spaces (common to south Florida), too pet friendly if you are not a dog person (most campers had one or more dogs - many large breeds). If in area we would stay here again but would probably try other campgrounds closer to beaches and area attractions first. - Snidely Whiplash
Feb 2016 - $38.00
The owners/staff could not have been more accommodating. This is an old park and many of the spaces are now permanent, older trailers, but the owners keep them looking nice. Many of the lots are on the small side but the park is quiet so the closeness is not much of a problem.
Most of the residents are winter snowbirds who have been coming there for years. Everyone is very friendly.
This is a dog friendly park which has two large dog runs.
We had no occasion to use the bathroom since our motorhome is self contained. - K9 camper
Feb 2015 - $25.00
We were assigned a site very close to the road. Site had no picnic table and was very small. Road noise was tolerable. This park is filled with long term units and residents. The bathrooms were dated. One shower had a curtain with mold three inches up from the bottom. Obviously should have been replaced months ago! - Wyboo
Feb 2015 - $35.00
We can't say enough nice things about this park! The owner went above and beyond to welcome us and to make sure we were satisfied. They not only drove you to your spot, but they assisted in hook-up as well. We weren't used to all the help! The other residents are very friendly and helpful. They are booked nearly all winter, and we were very lucky to get in for the weekend. - Vicki K
Jan 2015 - $40.00
Have camped for years all over Florida, this is one of the most friendliest park we have found. Plenty of activities to keep all busy, heated pool, the owners are very pleasant to deal with. Restrooms and laundry are outstanding. Stayed for only a month, will return next season for 5-6 months. - Retired RVerss
Mar 2008 - $34.00
Nice Park w/ all the amenities. Very friendly staff. - alimay
Jul 2015 - $25.00
We really enjoyed or stay here. Felt like we had the entire park to ourselves. Very clean pool, spacious site, and friendly front desk staff. Pet friendly, grounds mowed weekly, and friendly guests. Close to all shopping, Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Outlet Mall and Camping World. Nice day drives to the beaches, so many to choose from. We originally planned a 1 week stay and stayed 16 days! Will be back! - rdmike
Mar 2015 - $31.00
This is a very friendly RV park with lots going on. But the sites are too close together. We had good reception with the free wifi. - A-J
Feb 2015 - $29.00
This is a nice 55+ RV resort located just off Cleveland Street (AKA Tamiami Trail). That road is busy during the winter season, but the park is set back far enough that road noise was not an issue. We stayed in the park for 10 days, and our rate reflects the discount for a week's stay and Good Sam. The park is a mix of seasonal and transient lots. Shopping of every nature is close by. The bathrooms and showers were newer, spacious, and kept immaculately clean. The laundry had multiple washers and dryers, for good reason--they were often busy. The pool was very nice and quiet. We enjoyed the free ice available at the bathhouse and the daily trash pick-up. The office was closed when we checked in (Tuesday 1 PM), but there was a note on the door with our campsite number. The office staff was very busy nearly every time I was there. I would have rated it higher if not for: (1) no shade, we had one very small palm on our lot, (2) narrow, short sites--we had to park our small car crosswise on our lot or along side the coach as our 27' motorhome took up most of the length of the site. Our neighbors were also close on each side. (3) waiting list for picnic tables--it was day 3 before we had a table delivered to our site. This park is a great value, as cheap or cheaper than the area State Parks, with more amenities. - RagTopDay
May 2015 - $42.00
They refused to offer us the off season 50% Passport America rate even though they are listed in the Passport America catalog.
The super-site we stayed on was plenty large and concrete at 100 ft long, and wide spacing between sites, but few if any trees to provide shade.
The bath house was clean and modern, but poorly ventilated with no air conditioning and very small cubicles for showers. They did have a door for privacy, but a shelf that could only hold a pair of sunglasses.
They advertise WiFi at the sites, but even with nobody here, the signal was super slow and weak. The clubhouse did have a computer and printer for use, and the WiFi at the clubhouse was good.
The clubhouse was large and modern with a small library and an exercise room. The pool and spa were fairly large and clean. Their brochure advertises a non regulation 9 hole golf course at the front of the property, but all we saw was a field of overgrown weeds.
The park is directly north of the power station, and it can clearly be heard day and night. If you want to go anywhere from here, you have to get on the expressway and drive for about 20 minutes. There really is nothing around here to look at or visit. The beach is a good 50 minute drive, with no traffic. It is a good place for an overnight stop if you are traveling.
We would not stay here again. The off-season rate of $42 a night was overpriced and not worth it. - RobtK
Apr 2015 - $35.00
We got to the park the last week of March so it was full, we took the last spot in the "supersites" area. Plenty of room for our 44' toy hauler with both the side & back patios open & our truck to park on the all concrete site with room under our awning for the motorcycle - still on the concrete.
The full timers that lived there year around as well as the snowbirds down for 2-6mo. were all very nice, friendly, & accepting of us. The staff were wonderful, helpful, & friendly! Once the park started to clear out with people heading back home, we asked to move to a new site for a better view & we were told "not a problem." Great place! - Lisanator
Jan 2015 - $54.00
Excellent pull through Super Sites, plenty long enough for our 65' motorhome and trailer combo. level, concrete pads and wide road access makes this section great. Very convenient to I-75. Some of the friendliest people on earth. Like all Florida campgrounds, it fills up for January, February and March. We only stayed for one night but will probably be back for a month next year. - Miss Adventure
