Most expensive campground on our month long trip. So far was the tightest one to park in. Took two staff to help direct my husband into site. Once in our view was of sewer lines from camper next to us. Dog chain allowed our dog to enter both neighbors sites. People very friendly but much too tight for our tastes. Glad we were able to depart without damaging rig. We camped at Seminole Campground and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Everyone we met was very friendly but we will not return due to spacing issues. Went to Sanibel Island and had one of best lunches ever at Lighthouse Cafe.

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at Seminole for five weeks mid-March to late April. First, the good: *The bathrooms and showers are the cleanest we've ever experienced in any campground. Not only cleaned daily, but probably hourly. Incredible! *Location is good if you want easy access to the interstate, and Publix, Winn Dixie, WalMart, Walgreens - they're all within five miles. *Beautiful live oaks and Spanish moss throughout the park. Now, the bad: *The other reviews about leaf blowers are no joke. Five weeks we stayed there, and EVERY SINGLE DAY - including Easter Sunday - the leaf blowers were at it. Most days it was a few minutes here and there that we could hear. A couple record days were two hours and three hours - after snowbirds checked out and there were many open pads to clean off, I presume. Seriously, Management, do you know the definition of insanity? *Lot sizes vary - we were across from the office and rec hall, had no problem parking, but our neighbor's sewer hose was about 10 inches from our patio. Ugh. We prefer a little more breathing space and if you book early you might get one towards the back of the campground that's more spacious. *Quiet hours?! Supposed to end at 11p on weekends. One Friday night they had a DJ that played till 12:20a. The volume was so loud we could feel the vibration in the walls of our coach. That's ridiculous, and worse yet was the lack of empathy from the sister of the manager who works in the office when we complained the next morning. Of course she doesn't live there, so not a big deal for her. Many other activities happen in the rec hall day and night - good if you want to be active and aren't looking for a peaceful wooded setting. *Pool music - if you're a fan of 70s and 80s music then you might not mind it blasting every day all day, whether people are in the pool or not. If you're lucky to be in a site towards the back of the property, might not be an issue for you. We camped at Seminole Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you're looking for something near water, this isn't it except for dropping a kayak in the Caloosahatchee River. Fort Myers Beach is an hour plus away (even more if you time beach traffic wrong). Charlotte Harbor is nice, but 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. You can go to Matlacha/Pine Island area - also 45 minutes depending on traffic. If you're here in the winter, everything depends on traffic.

We called at the last minute 2/10/17 to get a week starting 2/21 thru 2/27 so was not surprised to be put in the "overflow" area in the back. That actually was a good thing as there was plenty of room on each side of our 25 ft. class C. The weekly rate we paid was $425 with Good Sam Discount. We were glad to find an opening anywhere as most CG's are booked up way ahead. We noticed that all the regular sites were all very close to each other. Lots of seasonal people. We had to disconnect the toad before the park worker helped us get backed in. Very nice people. Pool was great. We used the laundry room with no problems (watch the dryer setting). Rest rooms and showers are across the road from the pool were excellent. Wi-Fi was pretty good, even in the overflow area. We were able to get HD stations from Ft. Myers. Because we were in the "overflow" we did not get the usual daily trash and recyclables pick up, but we just walked down to them ourselves when we walked the dog. Actually the overflow area was very quiet. They must rent out some of the spaces for people to store motorhomes. One next to us never had anyone in it. Hook up for water & electric was at the back of our site, but was not a problem as we have long power cord and our water/sewer connections are at the back of the unit. My only grief was the pine trees. Pine cones, crud and sap droppings from them on the awnings (1 full size, 2 slide-outs). Took me a while to clean up when we got home. Very easy to get anywhere as park is close to I-75. Main road goes straight west to Pine Island and St. James City. Easy to get to Fort Myers for the Edison and Ford Estates. We also went to Sarasota, Ft. Myers Beach and Sanibel Island (Use Google Maps for routing with the least traffic though the toll-bridge is always backed up.) Lots of shopping, not too far away from the camp-ground. We camped at Seminole Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

It's a great stop off if you're heading anywhere on I-75. It's beautifully shady and well maintained. Great area for heading to the beaches in Fort Myers or anything the Gulf Coast has to offer.

This is one of the nicest RV parks we have ever visited. Many of the spaces are shaded by stately live Oak trees. Spaces are gravel, long and level, each with a concrete patio. All interior roads are paved -- no dust when it's dry, no mud when it's wet. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool is great -- unlike any other we have seen in an RV park! Restrooms/showers are large and are kept as clean as one would experience in a high-end hotel. There are plenty of washers and dryers, and they worked nicely. The grounds are cleaned and manicured throughout the day, and trash is picked up from every site daily. There is a nice dog park (one fenced-in area for small dogs, another for large dogs). The WiFi was the best we have ever experienced in an RV park -- it was super fast. Convenient location just off I-75, but you can't see the interstate from the park, and you usually can't hear much traffic noise. Close to area attractions and beaches, yet in an almost-rural setting. We've been to many RV parks in the Fort Myers area, and this is the most desirable one by far! We camped at Seminole Campground and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

There is a real nice area to walk dogs with two cages dog exercise areas so they can run free just watch for fire ants. Pool and laundry room were well maintained. it was a nice stay here and we will stay again. easy on and off the highway as well. We were brought around in a golf cart to pick our site as well. We have been at this park in previous years and really enjoyed our stay. This year a beautiful new pool with splash pad and waterfall and underwater stereo has been added. I might suggest that the music stay off until later in the day than starting early morning, as I enjoyed just listening to the waterfall. However, this year has been somewhat disappointing due to the noise of multiple leaf blowers. Staff need to use their leaf blowers to clean the park, but then every camper has one and it does seem a little excessive. Plus we happen to be next to a very loud neighbour, verbally and who likes to run the leaf blower several times a day. Also, we did have an electrical outage one afternoon, multiple campers were without power, but once reported it was addressed immediately by the electrician at the park. We camped at Seminole Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

First off, this is a snowbird park, so in season it is full capacity and expensive. 1200 a month+elec. We stayed from 3-1-15 through 8-1-15. The park is very nice and clean and the folks are friendly. There is a nice nature trail for walking along with a nice Gym, and rec room. They were installing the new pool and it wasn't finished before we left, but it was going to be a walk in style pool. Sites are great. Level, clean, all hookups. Wifi is sketchy at best. Its was constant struggle while we were there. Depending on location of your site you may or may not have access. And even with a good signal its constantly losing internet connection. Overall though it is a nice park and close to everything Lee County has to offer. We camped at Seminole Campground and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate reflects a week's stay. Pros : well-kept and clean facilities, easy access to and in the park with our larger RV, employee who assisted us in parking was excellent, quiet at night, very pet friendly. Cons: close spaces (common to south Florida), too pet friendly if you are not a dog person (most campers had one or more dogs - many large breeds). If in area we would stay here again but would probably try other campgrounds closer to beaches and area attractions first. We camped at Seminole Campground and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed there for the months of Jan-Feb 2015 Nice location just off I-75. Could hear some traffic noise from the interstate. Very clean facilities. Lots of nice attractions around the area. Smaller campground. Very clean with great garbage pickup service. Lots of activities, more than we could keep up with. You can tell the management has put a lot of effort into improvements. A little bit of a tight fit in some sites. Nice little lake adjoining that made for some wonderful sunsets. Internet is spotty like most campgrounds. Overall very satisfied. Tips for other Campers:

Nice little eating place down the road a mile. Fairly close proximity to all of the grocery, drugstore, Walmart locations. About 20 minutes from downtown Ft Myers. Lots of oak trees that made for a lot of leaf blowing at our site. All around experience was good.

Nice park--great upgrades since three years ago. All sites are nicely kept and level. Bit tight with all the trees but a little bit of time and no problems. Have to ask at the office for the code for the Wi-Fi code as it is not readily offered but works great. All utilities are in great locations. Permanent residents were well maintained and pleasant. Weekenders are a bit loud but that is to be expected--lots of kids. Would stay again when in the area. Great staff, we arrived after they closed and they still opened the office and were very polite.
