Nice clean park. 50 amp, water, no sewer. Stay on the West side to lessen road noise from road to the east of the park. Site was crushed shell and mostly level. Dump station on way out. We camped at Santos Trailhead & Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice size sites, but half as long as they need to be, toad needs parked on the grass. I didn't have toilet paper in men's RR, when I informed the young lady gate employee I got many reasons why but little indication the issue would be resolved. Paper Towel holder also out. Never saw camp host. Location great for Ocala interests and bike trails best in the state. Scrambles for breakfast, veterans discount as well. Great bike shop across from entrance. We camped at Santos Trailhead & Campground in a Motorhome.

With tax and reservation fee, our cost was over $26/night for a 3 night stay. Hook-ups (water and 50 amp only) worked perfectly. Verizon cell and Sprint Mifi worked well. There is a dump station which looks to be easily accessed and functional but we did not use it. We could not obtain a DirecTV satellite signal but did obtain a few OTA stations by antenna. My general observation is that all sites on the right side (as you drive in from the entrance station) have trees which will prevent a sat signal whereas the sites to the left side along with sites 19-25 are in a more open area with few trees and are likely to receive a sat signal. The bathroom/showers are so-so (not super clean but not grossly dirty). They offer plenty of hot water and water pressure. We did not see any non-campers using campground restrooms. You can hear highway noise as well as trains. A train whistle woke me up one night even though I consider myself a sound sleeper. Park staff was ok but nothing special. Unless you are into the hiking/biking trails or need to be in the Ocala area or are seeking low-cost camping, you might consider alternate campgrounds. We camped at Santos Trailhead & Campground in a Motorhome.

The reviews for this park were mixed and we were a little apprehensive about staying here. It is close to Ocala and the restaurants and stores there, even closer to the small town of Belleview with fast food restaurants and groceries. The big draw here is its location along mountain biking trails. This is good and bad in that it is a nicely wooded area with trails, but a lot of cyclists stop and use the bathhouse for showers and it gets overuse. The policy is to charge $8 a shower, but it is not enforced. There's an area next to the park where cyclists can practice skills. We talked with our neighbor who has been here before and he said the last time he was here 50 boy scouts were camped in the scout area and the cleanliness of the facilities were awful. Apparently, it gets very crowded on the weekends. (We stayed Monday - Friday).

The 25 sites have 50 amp and water. There's an ok dump station that we used on the way in since the tanks were full. We were on site 11 - an interior site by the restroom. We barely fit and I had to hold back a branch to back in. Cost is $22/night. There are 2 shelters also. Surprisingly, with all the trees we were able to access satellite TV. We camped at Santos Trailhead & Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice small park. Outstanding for mountain bikers. 85 miles of trails, 3 levels of difficulty and free riding area. Paved loop, 25 level gravel sites, not too close, partial or no shade. Friendly staff. Close to Ocala. We camped at Santos Trailhead & Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed at Santos Campground May 2015. This park is now under the mgmt of Florida State Parks, so you may use the FSP website to make reservations. We took advantage of this to reserve a specific site for our 45' motorcoach. The longest site is Site 23. All sites are back-ins. This park could be a very good park if they trimmed the low-hanging tree branches. WATCH OUT for very low tree branches not only on the paved park roads but also the RV sites themselves. As we arrived, we disconnected our towed to go check out our site. We were going to not stay due to low tree limbs, but the park host went to his site & got a saw to cut back limbs so we could stay. The park hosts were outstanding! Its sad that the mgmt does not care enough to trim very low hanging tree branches. Other than that, we had an enjoyable stay. Close to Ocala, close to the Villages, and out in the country to enjoy the fresh air and go for long walks on their outstanding Trail System. Electric is 20/30/50 amp at all sites and good strong voltage even when its 96 outside. Water is good (not well). Dump station on the way out easy to access. Like other have written, restrooms/showers could use a regular cleaning. They "contract out" the bathroom cleaning and it shows. The hosts are not responsible for bathroom cleaning, only campsite maintenance. When traveling thru this area again, we will definitely return to Santos Campground. We camped at Santos Trailhead & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The 3 Handicap/Disabled RV sites are concrete paved. Outside loop sites have fewer trees for shade. Lots of trees on the inside loop sites to shade your RV. Site 23 is the longest site. Our 45' coach had no problems (o/t tree branches that desperately need trimming).

Small, nice campground. Obviously, a very popular place for mountain biking enthusiasts. We rode the "easy" trails. The trails are fun and nicely maintained. Our biggest complaint is with the restroom/bathhouse. It really needs a good cleaning. My husband described the men's shower as "grody" and he's not near as picky as me. Also, no toilet paper or paper towels in the men's the first couple of days there. The campground and campsites were litter and cigarette butt free. There were caterpillars crawling all over the place and made for sitting outside not a pleasant experience. Obviously, out of the control of the campground, just the wrong time of year. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Easy check-in. Several restaurants and grocery stores within five miles of the CG. We camped at Santos Trailhead & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a sweet, clean park offering a wonderful place to relax. The 25 campsites are spread out around a large, paved loop. There are a few overhanging trees that brushed the top of our RV. The dirt/gravel pads are flat, and did not get muddy even after a pouring rain. Each site has a picnic table. There is a central bath house and they have two pavilions. There is an area for Scout camping. The park has no other amenities other than access to equine, bike and walking trails. There is a dump that can be used on the way out. There is a bit of road noise from 301, and there is a nearby train track. Track noise and whistles are evident, but not totally obnoxious. The park does not offer a fenced area for dogs. We camped at Santos Trailhead & Campground in a Motorhome.

This campground was small but laid out nicely. Their were two loops. One was just for scouts and tenters. Sites were spaced out with one bathhouse in the center. The bathhouse was dated but clean. Only one toilet and 2 showers in each one. No heat for those cold nights when showering. 80 miles of bike trails at the Santo's traihead with an obstacle and a small, no crank track to use. Quiet place with some train noise and highway noise from 301/27 but not unbearable. We camped at Santos Trailhead & Campground in a Motorhome.

Great park for bike riding on the nearby trails. Large sites mostly shaded with 50 amp and water, but no sewer system. Might be a problem with TV viewing if you use satellite due to the tree canopy (which needs to be trimmed on some sites to avoid tree scratches). We got a few local stations on the RV antenna. Hosts were great, very helpful, and on top of cleaning the sites as soon as one became empty. It's about 2 1/2 miles to grocery stores etc. We camped at Santos Trailhead & Campground in a Motorhome.

Santos has great bike trails for FL and this campground is the most convenient to the trail head. Sites are spaced out and offer fire ring & picnic table. Some of the sites are treed too heavily for satellite to work easily or to put out your awnings. Water & electric at each site with dump station across from trash area. Lots of bikers come in on the weekend and the convenience station gets trashed and not cleaned until Monday afternoon. Some traffic noise from 441 and also a nearby train track. We camped at Santos Trailhead & Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice small State Park just off US 441 South of Ocala. Would rate higher, but sites are unlevel. Trees could be a problem for slides and, especially, awnings. Had to relocate to a different site due to not being able to level my 39' coach. Second site was slightly better. Sites are not as long as represented. They are on an angle to the road and the length measurements are taken on the "long" side of the sites. Also a lot of US 441 traffic noise and several loud trains. Did not really bother me, but it is loud and continuous. Park very clean and staff extremely friendly. We camped at Santos Trailhead & Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice small park. I think that they were short on hosts for the campground, as it was full for the week end and the restrooms were a mess and not cleaned til Monday. There was a host site that was open, so I am thinking that was the trouble. The host Monday through Friday was great. We camped at Santos Trailhead & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Site gravel back-in. No sewer, but excellent dump station on way out of park. Only a few TV channels off antenna. Some sites open enough for satellite TV. Other sites in the trees offer more privacy. We camped at Santos Trailhead & Campground in a Motorhome.

We really liked this park. It would be a 10 if they had sewer hook ups. It is located very close to many Ocala area RV dealers. We were referred to the park by the dealer from which we bought our RV. Extremely clean. It is located at the trail head of a popular mountain biking trail. We camped at Santos Trailhead & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
