All the sites by the water have a great view but some sites are very tight. You barely can fully extended your awning. The shower are disgusting. The welcoming need some work. They need to at try to make you feel welcome not making you feel like you are disturbing them. We camped at Holiday Campground in a Motorhome.

Only good sites on the water are 14-15-16-17 back in water view. Old park cost too much for what's here. Kind of dumpy off the water. Stayed here 5 days. WILL NOT COME BACK. We camped at Holiday Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

There is a lot of good to be said about this park. Granted we are here on a weekday in January, so there are no overcrowding issues. However the views are fantastic. Sites are spacious and easy to access. Wifi works great, no problems with the 50 amp electric. Restrooms and showers while old are clean. We camped at Holiday Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This was our second visit to the park, this time for a month.

The more expensive sites are of course waterfront while the less expensive smaller sites are arrayed around the perimeter fence. The waterfront sites and some of the perimeter sites are big enough to put out slides, awning, decks etc with room to spare. Some are sunny and some have shade. Some tenants are relatively permanent, some are just for a few months to a year and some are transient. All are required to keep sites clean and neat with only normal camping items such as chairs, coolers grills etc allowed; right now the park is almost full and there's no junk or random stuff sitting around anywhere. It's expressly forbidden to wash an RV, vehicle or boat in the park. WiFi works most of the time and is reasonably fast. The few outages have been I believe upstream from the park. Verizon is strong. The restrooms and laundry have been clean all month but unfortunately Hurricane Hermine took out the pool pumps. Office people were pleasant. Our only dislike was that the road through the CG is dirt and things got rather dusty during the dry season. We camped at Holiday Campground in a Motorhome.

30/50 amp full hookups. The park is old. Most of the residents are permanent. The section along the water has the best view. Most of the spots are so close you can't let awnings out and if the slides are out you can touch both campers in some. The best spot for a class A is 28. I had asked for it when I called, we were staying 10 days. They said they couldn't reserve a particular spot in case a long term rental wanted the spot. When we arrived 28 was open, I asked for it and they still said to try 2 other spots. They were too close for our rig. We ended up with 28 and was later told it and one other were for short term rentals only. No see-ums were awful. Sand spurs were everywhere, we had to pick them from our dogs paws after each walk. When we hooked up, my surge protector detected an open ground. I told them about it, was told others had used it and it was fine. I pressed and they got an electrician out and it was fixed. The shower curtains had mold on them. No soap or paper towels/dryer in the men's room. The pace, laid back, and the view from our spot were the only good things about this place. We won't be back. We camped at Holiday Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

WiFi doesn't work. Apparently the office tells everyone (Read google reviews from the last few years), that construction on the side road is the culprit.

The electric was extremely unreliable. We had to find the main breaker to flip multiple times during our stay. Never had electric problems before here, and suspect incorrect voltage from box. Make sure to use surge protector.

Stray cats abound here, and mark everything. Gross.

Restrooms are disgusting. Moldy, damp, only 2 shower stalls have lights in the entire ladies room. Just disgusting. Mens room looks as though someone had an accident around the commode, stayed that way while we were here.

Pool was green the entire length of our stay. Not just not maintained green, but gross black growth all over stairs and walls as well.

Mostly annual, with some decent waterfront sites. Has much potential, but in serious need of maintenance and a serious cleanup. We camped at Holiday Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Keep driving a bit further. Not worth the random stray cats, green & black pool or disgusting restrooms.

Love this place, but the staff is getting a bit shakey. They have a cranky lady in the office and the gentleman sandwiched us in between two other RVs although there were many nicer, empty sites available for the length of our stay ! After we realized what he had done it was too much trouble to move for just 3 days .
These are all back in sites and if you have a MH you can't see the beautiful view.
We pulled in FACING the water and just ran our electric, water and TV to the front. Make sure your hookups are long enough to hook up to the front of your MH ! We camped at Holiday Campground in a Motorhome.

We had a waterfront site near the entrance, close to the highway but was not really bothered by the traffic noise. Beautiful water view right next to the fishing pier. There were several cars coming in and out in a vacant site near us to go fishing during the night which was somewhat distracting. The dirt sites with very little gravel and not completely level could stand some upkeep, although not too bad. Unfortunately it rained a lot both days we were there so the dirt site was pretty messy. Staff was friendly and there is a wonderful restaurant just across the street (Angelo's Seafood). Most of the back sites seem to be "permanent" residents in older campers that need some upkeep. Overall we were very satisfied and would definitely return. We camped at Holiday Campground in a Motorhome.

Office Receptionist was knowledgeable and friendly. Older campground was relatively clean. Some smaller trash on our site, like cigarette butts, bottle tops, small glass pieces, etc. Very close quarters to neighboring RV's. Awning extended cleared by only one foot on one side. Neighbors awning missed our 3 foot deep slide by six inches on the other. We were on a waterfront site that had a view to die for. The traffic on the river bridge gave no bothering noise at our site. This was a pleasant stay with most campers respectful and keeping their animal wastes picked up. No loose dogs running and barking. Dinner at Angelos was a wonderful treat. We will stay here again. We camped at Holiday Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Easy access into the campground off the main road. We had a river view site and boy are they tight. Can't put the awning out without hitting the camper next to us. Utilities are at the very back of the sites which were fine and the cable and Wi-Fi worked very well. Lots of working families here with kids who are very friendly. Beautiful view of the water as the shore is maybe 75 feet from the rear of camper. Don't know if we'd return because of how tight the sites are. We camped at Holiday Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here as a family of five. The campground is beautiful, right on Ochlockonee Bay, with it's own fishing pier and walking beach, with it's accompanying wildlife and Mash's Sands is across the street. In town you will find the Gulf Specimen Marine Lab, and Alligator Point and Bald Point Beaches are only 3 miles across the bridge. The campground has a playground for the little ones and campfire pits at the waterfront sites (we used one that was at a vacant site), a nice covered picnic pavilion with kitchen area (stove, sink and a charcoal grill). The bathrooms are spacious, with three toilets and three shower stalls, each with a curtained-off dressing area. (During our stay, one of the toilets in the ladies' room was out of order.) The campground is kept impeccably neat, but don't let the kids dig in the sand (except at the beach), because you just can't control where the adjoining neighborhood's free ranging cats do their business. Be aware that the nightly rate above doesn't include taxes (11%, including Florida's "hospitality" tax) nor the fee for more than two campers, unless they are younger than five years old ($6/night per additional person). Pets are welcome but are required to be leashed and picked up after. Of course, all good campers do that, right? The pool is not heated, but kept clean. The owner and managers are great. When we were there over the holidays, they set up Thanksgiving and Christmas feasts in the community center for all the campers. We will most definitely return, God willing. We camped at Holiday Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Wow, what a view. We had a site backed up to the river/bay and it was beautiful. Got to see an incredible sunset and awoke to dolphins swimming off the beach a few hundred yards out. We only stayed one night, but wish we would have stayed longer. Location was right off the main highway, but traffic noise didn't seem too much. Would stay here again. Fairly good park. Pull-throughs were a bit narrow. Good cable. Hookups at sites facing bay were at the back of the site (front for a motor home if you pull it in to face the bay. Many sites were long term rentals, many to working people. Too many of the long term sites had too much junk around them. Some long term units should be evicted for extremely trashy appearance. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Holiday Campground in a Motorhome.
