35 Parks near Orange City, Florida
Jul 2016 - $24.00
Beautiful park with shady campsites, mature oaks, and lots of wildlife. The park seems to be well maintained and the spring was awesome! Not having a sewer hookup was a minor downfall, but the difficult nature of their check-in process is my biggest complaint. Because of the long line to get into the park, they make RVers pull into a parking lot that does not have a good turning radius especially with a toad. Despite this, we can't wait for our next stay here! - TinyLivingRVer
Jun 2016 - $25.00
Beautiful, heavily wooded park with springs approximately 1/2 mile away. Located in and upscale suburban setting away from heavy traffic and noise. Beautiful and heavily wooded. Great retreat from civilization, but close enough for commuting. - Scenic Cruiser
Jun 2016 - $27.00
One of the few state parks we found that could accommodate our 42' 5th wheel, and had full hook-ups. We had a back in site but were able to maneuver in with enough room for our truck to fit. Park and site was nice and wooded. Site was shaded with trees. The firepit also was used as a BBQ. Tubing within the park. Bring your own tubes and save on renting. Bring chairs/blanket to sit after tubing and a cooler for food/drinks. They also had a snack bar. We were able to put our own kayak in for free. They also rent kayaks and paddleboards. Nice park. I would definitely stay here again. - ThisIsHowWeRoll
Jul 2013 - $28.00
We stayed here for a week and enjoyed the adventure. Two black bears tour the park this time of the year. The folks who are staying here for a long time stick together and persuaded the bears to move on. We enjoyed watching the ducks in the pond, which is full of fish. We have a geocaching hobby. This park was just what we needed to get into the Ocala National Park and other geocaching runs in the area. Good water pressure and friendly folks. - Jim M.
Feb 2009 - $28.00
This is a small, quiet park. The people we saw, including those running the park were very friendly. It is not an active park - it seems that many of the people are there for long periods of time and you don't see them very often. There is only one restroom and it can be quite a walk depending on where your site is. The woman's bathroom was cute and clean, but only one shower and two toilets. There was never a line and we were camping on Daytona 500 weekend, so that was a plus. It was an easy trip to the race and I would recommend it to someone who was just looking for an inexpensive, quiet place to stay. If you are looking for the party crowd, this is not the place! - JEG
Jun 2007 - $28.00
This is a very nice campground with a boat ramp and docks directly on the St. Johns river. It is off the noisy roads. They offer a boat slip at a discounted rate if you are camping. They also have pontoon boats for rent. Combination of shade and sun sites. All sites are grass, but they are level. They are in the process of installing permanent grills and fire rings at the sites. Very friendly staff. Definitely will camp there again. - jazzman
Jul 2010 - $40.00
The only available short term sites were out in the sun, all others were year rounders. There are nice sites on the river, but their web site is a little misleading. Pool was ok at best, has a nice kid's playground. Probably won't come back. - sammy the lot boy
Apr 2009 - $35.00
Park has definitely been getting spruced up. Have camped here for three years off and on as near Stetson University. This vist many buidings were resided and painted. Still in need of repair but definitely improving. The St Johns river is beautiful and they do have a boat ramp - ellasmom
Apr 2006 - $99.00
This is a really great campground. It is extra clean. The bathrooms are superior. The management is very friendly and you could not ask for anyone to be easier to get along with. Too bad the place is for sale. But do try to enjoy it while it's still there. - campfire
May 2016 - $20.00
International remains Daytona's best bet and we have just spent our 6th winter there. Rate reflects a full season stay. The vast majority of sites are 50 amp full hookups. WiFi is mostly available and phase 3 has cable. All roads are paved, sites in phase 3 are also paved. On site work campers keep everything in working order. This is no longer a place you can just arrive at and expect a site during the winter months. Park runs close to full most of the time. During events (Turkey Run, Race Week, Bike Week, etc.) sites can be hard / impossible to come by. Call ahead to check availability, they are very accommodating in trying to find a place for you. They have a couple of electric only overflow spots and dry camping is available during certain times. - Bob and Inga
Mar 2016 - $28.00
Very nice RV park with a great location for the Speedway and the Daytona Farmer's and Flea Market. The office staff was very cordial and efficient. We received the Passport America rate for both nights. People in the park were very friendly. This park is well laid out and easy to navigate. On the down side: (1) sites are on top of each other, (2) cater to snowbirds, with very few sites available during the winter season for transients and (3) we had loud music and a party behind us for about 3 hours without any action by the park management. - Teacher's Pet
Nov 2015 - $20.00
Check in was efficient, friendly and helpful - we were escorted to our site. The site was a paved double long pull through. - D and M
Aug 2014 - $70.00
We paid extra for a river site because we were told we could fish from the bank. The river sites are not in the front section, which appears to be for more short term RVers. The roads in the section to which we were led were narrow and a bit difficult to maneuver. Maintenance men had to trim some trees so that we could get to our spot and came back the next day to trim trees along the exit road. After setting up, we discovered that the gate leading to the dock was locked with a no fishing sign attached. I suppose we could have walked down to the river bank, but fishing from there would not have been possible because of the trees and mucky bank. We asked in the office about fishing and were told that we would have to go to other parts of the campground to fish. On the day we left, I had to walk in front of the motorhome so that I could be sure my husband could get past the cars and trucks parked along the road. The office staff and the full-timers were all very nice and the restaurant was good but we will not return. - dickens
Feb 2014 - $14.00
We were here for 5 months and have a very mixed feeling about this park. Many good things such as friendly staff, night and weekend security, large trees, paved roads and very level sites. Also the cable TV was great and way more than basic. The people were friendly except did not welcome snowbirds to participate in activities. Most all park is full time residents,so everything is set up for them. Other RV'ers only stay a short time and not the whole season like we did. The Wi-Fi is good but must pay to use.The rate is the monthly rate then you must add eletric usage. To give you the overall attitude of the park they even charge you 50 cents for a parking sticker. This you're told after you have checked in and they want that in cash. It's not the money; it's the idea of it! The restrooms and showers were cleaned daily, however way overdue for a makeover. - gpafrog
Feb 2013 - $25.00
This is a nice location. The park is on the St. Johns River. It has boats to rent , a launch ramp, and a pretty decent restaurant on the premises. The pool is the largest I've ever seen. It is fully enclosed and nicely maintained. It is an old park, pretty well maintained. It is popular with "snowbirds who return year after year. Most everyone knows everyone else, and they are a friendly bunch. The sites are very tight. They have used every available inch of space, and sites a very close together. There are "super" sites which is what I took on this visit. About the only thing "super" is the price - $650.00 per month. A three month stay gets you a $100.00 discount. The "super" sites are wedged in all over the park. They take a $200.00 "deposit" for electricity which is absurd! This is a gimmick to hold your money for a month or longer and collect the interest. The staff are helpful and friendly. If I do stay here again, I won't take a "super" site. Not worth it! - hankster36
Dec 2015 - $14.00
Rate is monthly not including electric. Reasonable!
This park is not terrible but deserves a pros and cons;
Sites are large and mostly pull thrus BUT the landscaping is in terrible shape and the sites are very dirty. Some people a few sites down who used to come here a lot left due to the conditions.
Restrooms are very clean BUT are old and worn and hit and miss if you get hot water.
Has play ground, shuffle board and basketball BUT they have not been cleaned in a long time and are not usable.
The office is open and staffed BUT I disagree with others in that they are borderline rude.
The laundries are open air, clean and well kept BUT the machines are old and need replaced.
Cable is pretty good BUT seems to be rebooting a lot.
WiFi is available and good most of the time BUT as the park fills up and in the evening it really slows down.
The pool is very nice, clean and well kept BUT not heated and very cold. Not usable this time of year.
This is the first park in 4 years of travel that we did not make new friends. Very clickish.
I am not really that picky but did not enjoy our month stay here. Probably will not come back. - digger2280
Jan 2015 - $35.00
The interior dirt/sand roads are the worst we've ever seen with many holes apparently caused by the early season flooding. They are badly in need of a road grader. The manager drags a `box' around but that only fills in the small holes. There is no need for a 5 mph speed limit because the holes will not allow any faster speed. - Dick_B
Oct 2014 - $38.00
We came in after their unusual office hrs of 8:30-4:30 and chose one of the 5 sites made available. The CG has an old FL atmosphere with sand and some grass in level sites. But there were several issues: The sewer connection was all the way to the rear and even with an extension we couldn't reach it. So the pull thru turned out to be a hassle as we had to unhook and back up to connect. Cable TV did not work. The Wifi thru Tengo wanted an email to send the coupon code which I assume we would have received during their business hours. Inconvenient and easer to use the iPhone. Excellent electrical power, quiet but needs a little maintenance to make it more than just an overnite destination. There are some open sites in the rear which may eliminate some of these problems. - Team Asphalt
Mar 2016 - $35.00
Spaces fairly tight but adequate. Dog run not on CG map & I didn't find it till late 2nd day. Quiet. Pool looked nice although we did not use it. Decent location for beach access without staying in the middle of beach crowd. Don't think I'd stay for long term but OK for a couple of nights. - ebaldy
Apr 2015 - $30.00
This is an older Florida style park but it is close to most shopping and dining options. To get to the beach we biked about 2.5 miles going over one of the main bridges to the beach. The park is about 8-10 miles from the main entrance to Daytona Beach. This park had several full time regulars. The sites are wide and open and it is quite heavily treed. We used the pool a few times and it was great. We would recommend this park. - gypsy parrotheads
Feb 2015 - $32.00
Staff very friendly and helpful. Location is outstanding. Parking our 36' in the 50A site out front was challenging because of trees and location of sewer and narrow site. Would have been very difficult if there was a neighbor on one side. As it was we had a good stay and would consider returning. - upstateny
Nov 2015 - $30.00
Paved roads, clean with level spots. The spaces are close and grass. It had rained a good bit before we got there. The ground was a bit soft, but not enough to cause a problem. There are a lot of seasonal/permanent residences. It is a quiet park, but a lot of the units are old and a bit run down. The owners are friendly and helpful. There is a pool that looks very inviting. Laundry facilities are available and look clean. - esta34950
Feb 2015 - $34.00
Clean and quiet. Pet friendly. Everyone picks up after their pet. Friendly neighbors and office help. Level but narrow sites. A lot of permanent and seasonal residence. Our water spigot did not work so we hooked into the neighbor. We stayed during race week and did experience the problem the previous reviewer had. We were able to make a reservation. Worst part was the train that blew it's whistle. It sounded so close that I thought it was going to come through our motorhome. We would stay again. - esta34950
Jul 2016 - $40.00
Very nice well maintained park and friendly staff. Currently has workout area, well stocked library and clean pool. Many full time resident so I'd recommend reservations especially during busy winter season. Close to shopping, movies and restaurants. - amimjs
Mar 2016 - $45.00
A lot of full-timers in this park. And, many of them need to clean up their places! Many are very, very old and in disrepair.
The office person was very friendly and professional.
We had no problems. Our site was convenient, although not very big.
Most have nice concrete patios.
It is not exactly pet friendly. They allow dogs, but do not have a fenced dog park. And, they expect you to go out in the dirt and mud in the front of the park near the highway to walk your dog!!
Most dog owners are responsible...perhaps the poop that is found sometimes...is from the bears!
Bears appear often at night in this park, although no one mentioned any issues other than they get into garbage sometimes.
I personally enjoy walking my dog on the paved roads throughout a campground.
It has a laundry room and a swimming pool and community room. I discovered a nice building hidden in a storage area that has work-out equipment...don't know who gets to use it. - Umbrella
Jan 2016 - $36.00
Needed to find something near Orlando area without paying some big dollars during high season. This was adequate. Not the prettiest place, had lots of long term residents. Nice staff and office help. Might stay here again if we need to see our friends in the area. - rwarner22
Jul 2016 - $30.00
The nicest and most helpful staff I have ever met! Very clean sites and pool area. The dog park us very spacious. Lots of planned activities. spacious grass sites with picnic table. the campground is open to the public until 5, but there is a lot of supervision - Dawlhouse
Jan 2016 - $38.00
We are here for Dec & Jan for our 1st visit. Took advantage of the monthly rates which saved us about 50% over the discounted nightly rate above. This family owned and operated facility is well maintained and improving. The pool, grounds, clubhouses, store, and especially laundry facilities are immaculately kept. Love the large modern machines that offer the convenience of plastic money if you have no quarters! ~ There are scheduled activities: games, dances, craft classes, toy car races, and fabulous food events including dinners, potluck, and ice cream social events. The sites are large, level, and most have new concrete patio slabs. The swimming lagoon and fountain are lovely. Not crazy about the sulfur spring aroma, but it won't keep us from coming back. - Jane and Bob Fulltimer
Dec 2015 - $45.00
Very nice park. We stayed in a space in the quiet section of the resort. Friendly helpful staff. Other RV's, some transient and others permanent. Restrooms, showers and laundry were clean. One restroom and shower facility appeared to be fairly new. The Roads are paved however they are narrow. - cudntherd
