We are full-timers who winter in Florida, traveling from campground to campground from Pensacola to the Keys. We decided to do a month at this resort, recognizing it was expensive -- and it is. Of the dozens of campgrounds and resorts we have stayed in from coast to coast, it is easily the prettiest one we have been to with a golf course and beautiful ponds and landscaping. The people are incredibly friendly. We have been invited over for drinks and dinner many times. The social events are well-run and there are many activities, including daily tennis and golf. After a week, we decided to buy a lot and make it our winter base in Florida. I like the many activities and that it is only a half hour from the beach, which I enjoy, while my wife likes the abundant shopping nearby. It is a Class A only resort and it is not inexpensive, but it is worth it. We camped at Motorcoach Resort St. Lucie West in a Motorhome.

This place is beautiful!! It was a top notch resort. The only negative thing I can say and this is the reason I didn't give them a 10. Being it was such a first class facility, i felt not having internet was a disappointment. Evidently, they have it at the club house, but it was under construction. I just feel like that is pretty much standard most places now. One other thing that bothered me was you can not store a tow dolly. They recommended several storage facilities near by but the storage place wanted me to come in to sign a contract and other aggravating issues. I called to cancel because of this . (we had to have our car and we can not tow our cars 4 down) The nice lady at the desk let us leave it at the office since we weren't going to be there long. ( hubby there for business) The dog parks was so nice and clean. Most spots have some sort of tiki hut. All the roads we amazing, most slips had coating on the pavement. They had several small pools, the one we were at was nice and clean. Everything was so lush and beautiful!!!! We camped at Motorcoach Resort St. Lucie West in a Motorhome.

This was a difficult park to rate. The facility was impeccably maintained and some great amenities. Our site was a very long concrete pad bordered by pavers. It backed up to the par 3 golf course and pond. Sites were close but had shrubs to provide privacy. You can't see the rig next door. All utilities worked well. Wifi was only available in the clubhouse, which is inexcusable for sites costing this much. We camped at Motorcoach Resort St. Lucie West in a Motorhome.

The park is in a more urban setting but access into the park from the highway was easy. We drive a 45F MH and navigated into and around the park easily. The roads are paved and sites are concrete. We did have a bit of trouble backing into our assigned site - took a couple of passes, but getting out in the morning was easy. The utilities were well placed, water pressure and power were good. We did not use the amenities so I cannot comment on them. I did not feel the park was a good value given the price for one night. We had an old, unpainted picnic table on our site with no landscaping. The back-in sites are a bit tight together and it felt crowded. If we were going to come back and stay longer in a different site, I expect it is a lovely place. We would not return however, for just an overnight. We camped at Motorcoach Resort St. Lucie West in a Motorhome.

Fair notice - we own a lot here. That said, we thought our views would be useful for potential renters. The Resort is clean and well maintained. The lots, back-in or head-in, are easy to get into. Many have outdoor amenities and some have only a picnic table. The premium lots with waterfront locations are beautiful and the others are fine.

It can be a bit confusing because the rental program is not run by the HOA. A previous review commented on no call back about a party. The parties are run by the HOA and communication could be better. This is not a big issue and shouldn't be a reason to avoid the resort.

There are tons of things to do in the area. Our favorite is the PGA Academy which is open to the public with great practice facilities and instructors. We camped at Motorcoach Resort St. Lucie West in a Motorhome.

Lovely place. Found the people very friendly and welcoming. Nice clubhouse, but needs to expand in order to be considered world-class. Would prefer spa and pool hours to extend beyond dusk. It's hard to beat the location of this resort, with virtually anything you would want or need within a 10-15 minute drive. This is the first resort we have stayed in that has us giving consideration to purchasing a lot. We camped at Motorcoach Resort St. Lucie West in a Motorhome.

We were quto attend and about 40 showed. ite taken aback at this resort. The facilities and grounds are absolutely beautiful. Virtually every site heads-in or backs-up to a body of water. The ladies in the office were pleasant, however made no mention of the Halloween party at the clubhouse. We asked about it and they said they would call to see if there were any spaces left and would call us back. No call. We walked by that night to find they planned on about 80 and only about 40 showed up. We would have enjoyed an evening with the resort, however that did not happen. After 2 days of walking the resort, not one person greeted us; no one said good morning or hello. This is a resort in disarray with many owners unhappy and if you are not in the clique, you are out. What a shame. We paid for a premium site. It was not cleaned prior to our arrival. We had no use of the BBQ nor any of the amenities you would expect at a premium site. The landscape was spoiled with weeds and ants. We will never stay here again. They should model their resort to the Las Vegas Motorcoach Resort, a former Outdoor Resorts property. This is an outstanding Class A ownership park! As renters/guests we found the front desk reception to be extremely welcoming and informative, ie. Giving us all of the local shopping, tourist sites to consider, restaurants and shopping that was all in close proximity to the resort. This was the end of the high season and many of the winter long owners were in the process of leaving. We found that those remaining were very friendly and welcoming. The campground itself was lush with tropical plants in the first phase, with the second phase underway nicely. The trash and recycling was picked up at your site daily. We stayed in the second phase, adjacent to the 13th hole on the golf course that is situated in the middle of the campground, providing a very tranquil setting. The hookup pedestal and sewer hookup were placed perfectly. The cement patio was nice to relax on and enjoy an evening outdoors. The clubhouse was exceptional, with many activities in which we took part. We had a problem with or front roof air and the flyer that was part of our welcoming package gave us a name of a guy who does onsite service. He ordered the part we needed and were very satisfied with his work and price. Also had a terrific detail guy (retired policeman), who did a wonderful job on our coach. Terrific "RESORT." Highly recommend!! We will definitely return. We camped at Motorcoach Resort St. Lucie West in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you are into preseason MLB, the New York Mets have a stadium less than a mile from the resort entry. By the way...you will not find too many resort entrances that match the beauty of this resort! Only thing lacking were child related amenities. This is an adult themed resort which we loved!

Large Class A only Luxury Park. Ownership lots, with many in a rental pool. The residents are a great mix of "non-snobby" folks, they are mostly very friendly and open. The sites are very large and clean, and the manicured common areas with water features ideally blend with the Tiki Huts and landscaping completed by the individual owners. An awesome pool is there to enjoy, it was kept to a very pleasant warm temperature. There's a bunch of fish in those water features around the green belts, with almost no one to "disturb" them! There's a large Community Center, and we were made to feel more than welcome to join in for free sponsored light meals, pot lucks, free beer night, paid for special meals with live entertainment...etc. It's obvious the "Homeowners" Association is undergoing changes, and it seems for the better. Omnipresent professional Management. An electronic key gets you into the place. Laundry facilities are lacking. As a renter you can get a free pass to the local Gold's Gym if you are so inclined. Mail service and delivery was exceptional. We will return for sure. We camped at Motorcoach Resort St. Lucie West in a Motorhome.

Sadly ended a very long term stay here. While a beautiful resort, the rate increase to over $2000 per month for an improved site and $1900 for an unimproved site is now making outdoor resort unaffordable. Initially a $1000 or so monthly fee was tolerable but now that it has been increased and no improvement in so called amenities makes a stay prohibitive. There are no exercise facilities, no separate game room...try playing pool while various board games are in session or a class has the floor. The library is actually a closet with shelves and the ping pong table has to be placed on top of the pool table ! Beautiful grounds, exceptional staff both in the office and maintenance make the stay comfortable. But for half the price a decision had to be made. If the management can allow owners to set the rental price and not take 50% of that price, maybe more people can experience Outdoor Resort in the future. Have stayed here several times in the past when it was under Outdoor Resorts and enjoyed our stay. Many things have changed besides the name however. Reservation process and check in was efficient and business like but not friendly. Did not provide any information regarding local events, attractions or restaurants. They did however point out the many rules they have such as a dress code to include “men are to wear shirts at all times”, “no bare feet except at pool”. Also “no patio lights”, “no freestanding satellite dishes”, “No signs” and so on. I generally applaud campgrounds with strong rules but some of this seemed a little over the top for a Class A only resort. Site was a clean and well-maintained pull-in on the golf course. Concrete pad with 50 amp service and was very level. A little rust in the water so make sure to run before connecting to RV to flush it out. Park itself is well maintained and very clean. Many amenities such as pools, tennis courts and the clubhouse all of which where very well maintained with the exception of the pitch & putt golf course, which was in, rough shape. No trash pickup on weekends and holidays and it’s a bit of a hike to the trash facility. Wi-Fi is only at the office and its not that good. Unfortunately the one rule they apparently don’t have is not allowing construction by owners during weekends and holidays. Person three sites over was building a Tiki Hut and ran a circular saw from sun up to sun down the entire time. In general this is a clean well-maintained RV resort and is probably more interesting during the “Snow-Bird” season when they have activities. Not sure if they are under new owners but the feel of the place was not very inviting and its not really a place for families with kids. Price is with FMCA discount. This resort is undergoing some changes and, it appears, for the better. There is expansion going on and the resort was very social and lively. The golf course was a bit weedy, but nice. Very secure gated community. Nice mix of owners and renters. We camped at Motorcoach Resort St. Lucie West in a Motorhome.

The park is actually very beautiful. Many of the improved lots are very attractive with their tiki huts and gorgeous landscaping. All the lots are good size and are equipped to handle the largest rigs. The folks that live here all winter are really great people and welcome all who come. My reason for my poor rating is that there are many poisonous frogs in the lake areas that I feel should have been mentioned somewhere along the way. We lost our beloved 2 1/2 year old yorkie as a result of this oversight. We were ready to purchase a lot that day but left within an hour of this horrible incident and will never return. New owners, as of 3 months ago, will be changing name within 1 year as per sales agreement. Beautiful grounds with concrete pads and lots of pull in sites overlooking lakes. Cute par 3 golf course but was closed while we were there for 2 nights. Only negative is - no internet at sites, but accessible at club house. NO FMCA discounts as on URL since the new owners.
