Overall Rating:

We stayed 10 weeks at Alligator Park (snowbirds). The nightly rate is $43.00 for transients but lower for longer stays. This is a nice, clean, well kept place. The full time residence are very friendly and there is a full social calendar. The location of the park is perfect., near to Port Charlotte, Ft. Myers and Cape Coral. All kinds of shopping close by as is the gulf. We will be staying here again next year. We camped at Alligator Park Mobile Home and RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We've stayed at Alligator Park a couple of times in 2017 and really like it. Well kept Park, nice level concrete sites, full hookups, a great heated pool and friendly staff and neighbors. It's a resident owned park with about half mobile homes and half RV lots. Pretty busy and hard to get in during winter season due to popular location. Our only negative on this park is the 90-degree angle slim sites combined with narrow roads makes backing into the sites a challenge. We camped at Alligator Park Mobile Home and RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Large park with lots of seasonal visitors. Very few sites available for overnighters during "season". Lots of activities for people. A heated pool, a very good library, good internet in the library-otherwise, one has to pay for it. People in the office and in the park are very friendly. Allows pets on leash. Has laundry facilities. We camped at Alligator Park Mobile Home and RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

we stayed here for a month. Nice and clean. All sites are concrete, new for 2016-17. Not much room for a 45ft MH, but u only move 2 times no big deal. The pads are too short for a big rig so that you step down to the grass with your tag at the edge of concrete, no big deal we ruffed it. Everyone in the office was very helpful also the residents. we could only get in for 1 month since all the lots were taken for JFM. Lots to do in the area. Association owned, mostly park models but a lot of RV sites. One of our favorite parks in Florida, wide roads, big sites (full concrete), mostly open and sunny. We stay here every year for a week. We camped at Alligator Park Mobile Home and RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is an owner park with the majority of sites containing double wide homes. There is a section devoted to transients but each site can be a little different in amenity - meaning some have a concrete pad and patio, some have concrete patio only and a few are all grass. Your rating will depend on the site you get. With the abnormal amount of rain received this winter some sites were a real mess for much of the month.

The sites have very good depth and handled our 39' rig and truck with room to spare. Site width was decent and you didn't feel overly close to the neighbors. The park is well maintained and the HOA does a good job of insuring none of the homes look unkempt. The salt water swimming pool was heated although not open unless temps were above 70. Sewer connections were good. 50a electric was stable and we paid a $50 usage fee up-front. They also kept our $15 PO Box key deposit to cover any overage and promised to make an adjustment at the end of the month. Water pressure was ok at around 45#. They have their own sewage treatment plant and with the right wind direction the smell is noticeable. The park offered a number of regular activities (cards, bingo, dancing, exercise etc.) as well as a few Saturday breakfast and dinner events, some with music. The residents were very welcoming and always ready with a friendly wave. We enjoyed our monthly stay and would come back again. We camped at Alligator Park Mobile Home and RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

If you're a golfer, their "Caddyshack" mixed golf league is easy to join and a great way to meet people in the park. Punta Gorda is a beautiful city with plenty of things to do with not quite the heavy traffic of Ft. Myers or Venice/Sarasota. They have a great waterfront with easy access to bike and walk. You must visit the Ponce de Leon park - beautiful.

Overall Rating:

Alligator Park is one of the nicest parks we've stayed at in Florida but is primarily a resident-occupied park. There appears to be lots of back-in spots open for transients in the park's central area (there's no pull-through spots) and each site has a concrete pad and grassy sitting areas. The park is extremely well maintained with the grass cut to the perfect length and everything very clean. WIFI is available for additional cost but a user fee in such a low cost park isn't offensive. Verizon worked well as did OTA television. Check-in was easy; the staff helpful and overall process quick and efficient. I can't think of anything I'd change at this park to make it better. My wife and I will definitely stay here again. We camped at Alligator Park Mobile Home and RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Due to medical problems, stayed 6 months starting mid December 2014.

Daily price is a rough average (high and low seasons).

Wide paved streets, very good power (although some outages from the local power company).

Heavy rain in summer did not cause any problems with the site due to good drainage.

People were very accommodating.

Laundry uses credit cards only so didn't have to worry about getting quarters.

Some sites fully paved, others grass with concrete pad. We camped at Alligator Park Mobile Home and RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Quiet park with many owner owned lots. No pull-through, but good level sites. Slabs and grass depending on site. Nice pool, baths, and library. Staff was easy to work with. Monthly rates are high all over Florida as was this park. Well kept, no trash. Would stay again. We camped at Alligator Park Mobile Home and RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Very nice park, clean with good water pressure and electric. Wi-Fi is $5.00 a day, we didn't try it. No shade. Most sites are grass with a concrete pad. No table provided. They now will not accept Passport America until after April 1st, even though their sign out front states differently. Lady at desk said the owner is thinking of dropping P/A all together. Over all the park is in a good location for visiting the Punta Gorda area. We would stay here again. We camped at Alligator Park Mobile Home and RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

For the money this park was a good three day stay for us using our Passport America membership. The park had a comfortable feeling for the 55 and above set. I do not recommend the pay wireless that is available as they have it configured to slow down access the more you use it. The WI-FI is probably the single biggest negative to an otherwise pretty nice park. We camped at Alligator Park Mobile Home and RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.
