Price reflects monthly rate. We stayed here because family was nearby, convenient for that. Luckily we had a site that was towards the back, off the main road. Concrete pads are nice but parking our motorhome on the grass for a month, we sunk in quite a bit. Nice level site, friendly people. Easy in and out and interior roads easy to navigate. Fitness center was an added bonus and lots of activities at the club house, very active community. Only downside is spaces are pretty close together, but it's to be expected in an urban RV resort. Home Depot, Publix Grocery, Walmart, Walgreens, etc., are all conveniently nearby. We camped at Gulfview RV Resort (Encore) in a Motorhome.

We were here as a 'guest' of Thousand Trails. You'll need a long sewer hose. Many of the sites have semi-permanent residents, but there was also a nice number of temporary sites. We stayed 4 nights. We camped at Gulfview RV Resort (Encore) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Convenient location just a few miles off I-75. New cement patio at site. Office, pool, clubhouse, etc all like new and in beautiful condition. Lots of well cared for trees and shrubs all throughout the beautiful park. On canal. Nice area to have a group campfire. Adjacent road is busy however it does quiet down at night. We camped at Gulfview RV Resort (Encore) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Publix supermarket and Home Depot just .5 miles - easy walk or bike ride. 4 miles on dedicated bike path to downtown Punta Gorda, very convenient and enjoyable way to visit the area.

We actually stayed here for 2 months (feb and mar). It was our 2nd time there and have enjoyed both times. The amenities were good and the people very friendly. We have already booked to go back next year and stay the entire winter. We made some great friends there. Comcast is the only vendor for internet,TV, unless you have a satellite which we will have before next year. Very convenient to supermarkets, shops, restaurants and downtown. Lots to do in the area. We camped at Gulfview RV Resort (Encore) in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at this park for the months of January and February at a monthly rate of $1200. Good location and most of the campers were very nice. The management is another issue. The drainage at this park is terrible, with many sites being flooded. We were there with friends who were in a different site and both our sites were flooded most of the two months we were there. Numerous RVs got stuck getting into and out of their sites. The management offered no assistance and told people they were on their own if they got stuck and the RV park would not offer any assistance if you required a tow to get out of your site. We had to go to the local hardware store and buy plywood to put under our tires so we would not get stuck. We will definitely not go back there again. Management offered no support or assistance and since this is an Encore park it does not speak well of the Encore network. We camped at Gulfview RV Resort (Encore) in a Motorhome.

Not a Encore showcase park. Pay wifi , pay TV , awful drainage , mud and standing water not being addressed by management.

We are 6 month residents who probably will not be back. Big rigs barely fit in most sites and get stuck in many. Encore does nothing about the problems. Residents here are great. Ends there. We camped at Gulfview RV Resort (Encore) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Rate was off-season with military retiree discount. Regular rate in-season might affect "value" rating I suspect. Densely configured park but it works well. Most sites are pull-through picnic table. Many full-time park models with substantial improvements/additions, all well maintained by retiree-owners. FHU sites with CATV. Strong AT&T and Verizon cell service. Shopping for all needs and tastes withing half an hour, with Walmart & grocery stores less than 5 minutes away. Wonderful rec center back by the kayak launch on Alligator Creek with most extensive take-one, leave-one library I've ever seen, plus fitness equipment, pool tables, etc. BTW, it's called Alligator Creek for a good reason so be careful. Many tourist attractions close by catering to all interests from shell collecting to fishing, golf, and many other sports and intellectual pursuits. There's even a good pistol and rifle range at Babcock-Webb Wildlife Management Area, five minutes away. You almost can't go wrong here and the staff will be most helpful in every way. Good commercial campground. We camped at Gulfview RV Resort (Encore) in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed here one night to 'introduce' our camper to our children. We were able to check in after hours and had a great stay - it is a very clean campground, seems more geared toward people who live and travel in their campers year round. Still we felt welcome and we enjoyed this beautiful campground. We camped at Gulfview RV Resort (Encore) in a Travel Trailer.

Nice resort and we would definitely stay here again. Level sites, concrete pad for your patio, easy hook-ups, picnic table, activities and close to shopping. Equidistant from Fort Myers and the Edison/Ford homes or Sarasota and the Ringling, both sites that we enjoyed a lot. Most here are here for the season but there are many 'transients' like my husband and I who were there for a week. We camped at Gulfview RV Resort (Encore) in a Motorhome.

We like the park so much we have opted to lock into three months this winter. All residents are friendly to full timers and those just stopping over night. Great activities and everyone is always included. Publix is right down the street , WalMart nearby and restaurants and many activities are downtown , just a couple miles away. Great staff , clean restrooms and laundry and we thought very nice and spacious sites. Looking forward to this years stay! We camped at Gulfview RV Resort (Encore) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This park is conveniently located to the Punta Gorda Fisherman's Village and Harborwalk area, which are very nice. The paved interior roads were very narrow, and parking our RV was a challenge because of cars parked along both sides of the street. Our site (#4) was grass and level, with a nice concrete patio. Glad we didn't have to use our jacks though, because they would have sunk right into the soft, water-soaked ground. Spacing between the sites used for transient folks like us was generous, with room to park our car off the street. Water and 50-amp power were strong, and our Verizon reception for cell phones and Hotspot was excellent. The downside was that our site was located right up against the busy street running along the park, and traffic noise during the day was terrible - we didn't even want to sit outside to read or relax. Trucks going by at night made sleeping difficult, too. The office staff was very nice and helpful, and we found folks in the park to be extremely friendly. The laundry room was fine, with at least 8 washers and 8 dryers, but no car parking outside the building. Bathrooms were nice and clean, with separate shower rooms which were also clean. The grocery store and several other services were just up the street. With our only complaint being horrible road noise, we would probably stay here again if we could be located further from the street. Our rate was based on an RPI membership. We camped at Gulfview RV Resort (Encore) in a Motorhome.

A great passport park in off season. Grounds were wet after rain and did not drain quickly. This is snowbird USA. A few overnight spots with an old gravel base - pretty much grassed over. Cable TV only with Comcast hook up and billing. Close to many restaurants and other as well as Walmart. Price is passport rate. Many DTV stations which gave good coverage. Lots of mobile homes and park models interspersed with open RV sites. We would stay here again in the off season. We camped at Gulfview RV Resort (Encore) in a Motorhome.

Beautiful CG with heated pool, hot tub and friendly people. The rate is Passport America, FHU and a pull through. The site has grass/sand with a concrete pad and was challenging to get in and out. Home Depot, Walmart and other shopping is very close by. Cable is purchased through Comcast. TV reception was very good. We would camp here again. Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The park is clean, staff is friendly, and the location is convenient. The road construction, reported in other reviews, is now complete. The pool is warm and sparkling clean. The park advertises as being pet friendly but there is only a small area devoted to dog walking. The showers/restrooms/laundry were all clean. I have a pet peeve with shower temperature valves that try to trick the user; I wasted lots of water trying to find the hot water setting. We had a heck of a time maneuvering our 43 footer in this park and, therefore, won't return. We camped at Gulfview RV Resort (Encore) in a Motorhome.
