Well maintained co-op park with friendly, helpful residents, good water pressure and electricity. Convenient to most of Punta Gorda. Sites are level and sandy; we used jack pads. Close to the Punta Gorda airport, but we only heard planes on Saturday morning. This is our third visit to Waters Edge and we will return. We camped at Waters Edge RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Very friendly, helpful residents, accommodating, widest space between between rigs we have ever had! The only downside is that there is no one in the office on weekends. Board members stepped in to cover though. Utilities are excellent. No cable but lots of channels in the air. Wifi booster helped the signal in our rig. Propane and garbage pickup at your site! We camped at Waters Edge RV Resort (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

We just stayed one night, but found the RV resort to be nice. Most of the park is filled with owned sites that are a mix of park models/trailers and RVs, but there's room for short-term visitors like us too. The permanent sites are generally nicely kept up with landscaping, decorations, etc. The north area of the park was very crowded/cramped, with narrow roads, small sites, and lots of golf carts driving around. Our grass site in the "S" section (east side) was much nicer, and even though it had no sewer, we greatly preferred that location (except for having to drive through the north section to get there) as it felt much more spacious. Since our site was grass, when we put down own motorhome's leveling jacks, they sunk right into the ground instead of lifting us. Fortunately we had some wood blocks we could put under them for support. Strangely, the 50 amp pedestal was at the extreme front of the back-in site, while the water hookup was 40' back into the site. Although the site was 60+ feet long, we had to park our rig right up against the road for our power cord to reach the pedestal. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, a pleasure to work with. Dogs aren't supposed to be walked on any site but your own, however there's a very large grassy area on the east end of the park that's fine for walks, and a surprisingly large fenced dog park. Cell service was good, and although it's near the airport, we didn't notice much noise. We'd stay here again for a longer stay when visiting family in the area. Overall Rating:

We actually enjoyed our stay here more than we expected. Most of the sites are owner occupied with some really lovely landscaping, although almost all the sites are pretty close together. Friendly staff and owners, and a very dog friendly park. The official rule is two dogs per site, but they made an exception for our 4 border collies, so if you do have more than two, call and check. Really nice fenced dog park and run area with waste stations around the park. The 'S' sites where we stayed mostly have water and electric only, but the much larger grassy sites made up for it. Another big plus of the S sites is that they are further from the road and much quieter. If you don't need sewer, I highly recommend S section over the others. Very good Verizon coverage and we had open skies for satellite reception. A couple of minor dings...lots of golf cart traffic on the narrow road and you are close to a small regional airport. Not a lot of air traffic, but Wednesday mornings are helicopter lessons so a few hours of low flying helicopters over the park. Close to town and shopping, we'll be back if we're in the area again. I have never been to a friendlier park!! From the fact that the receptionist actually returned my call first thing in the morning so I could make a reservation, to the residents/campers there that welcomed us with open arms as if they had known us!! It's a resident owned with public campsites available for daily, weekly and monthly rates. Everyone there welcomes visitors with a smile and a hello. It's clean and manicured. We were impressed! We will definitely be back many times. We camped at Waters Edge RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

This is one of the cleanest parks we have seen. Staff and campers are very friendly. Our site is spectacular (Passport America, 2 nights). We were a bit hesitant to come here based upon reviews, but seriously, can't think of a negative. We will always stay here when in the area. They even ensure that all RVs are at least 3' off the road - both ends on pull-thrus. VERY level site as well. We camped at Waters Edge RV Resort (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Park is around a pond, 1 mile walk around. We stayed for 1 month (960mo) residents all wave and say hi but beyond that you're part of the clicks. Not many park models but many lot "owned'. No true activities director, few planned events and some cancelled because there weren't enough "owners" attending. Airport right next door with small planes flying 200 feet over head all day long. We will look else where next year. They also add electric than a admin. charge of 6 bucks and then another charge of 6.25 for?. We camped at Waters Edge RV Resort (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This 55+ park/resort is surrounded by a lake, and situated in an industrial area and beside an airport! Between commercial trucks, cars and airplanes, it is very, very noisy. Restrooms, shower and laundry facilities and the park itself is clean and tidy. The pool is heated with hot tub. Wi-Fi is extra, no cable TV. Mostly owner sites which are well kept. Rentals are on grass and the park is attempting to sell. People are extremely friendly, but found the small clubhouse empty except for activities. Overall Rating:

This is a relatively new and very clean and tidy park. Most guests are retirees who live seasonally in RVs or park models, but several dozen unsold spaces are available to transients. These spaces are on grass in the sun. The park is in a quiet rural area (and it can be hard to find). The clubhouse hosts activities such as pancake breakfasts (quite good), pot lucks, crafts, movies, bingo, socials, etc. The pool was heated during our visit (February), and there is a fruit & vegetable market each morning. People are especially friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much and extended it twice. We camped at Waters Edge RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

We spent 3 nights at this park and found it to be delightful. Very friendly. Even invited us to an all you could eat fish fry on Friday night. (I can eat a lot.) My wife uses the bathrooms and I use the camper’s shower. She reported that they were very clean and that the laundry was nice. There is a large lake in the center and campsites all around. Nice club house and recreation hall. It is close to a private airport and we did hear several airplanes during the day, but it was not offensive. We had a pull thru site, but I would say there are about half and half back-ins. Roads are paved and most sites have a pad. WiFi is available. We stayed in a motor home in Jan 2007 and we will be back. We camped at Waters Edge RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.
