32 Parks near Reddick, Florida
Apr 2016 - $36.00
We spent three months here because we made winter plans late and had a hard time finding a site for 90 days. We were a bit leary of the campground before arriving and when we arrived it looked a little worse for wear, but we found out that the former owners lost the park to the bank and the bank was now managing the campground. We saw a lot of cleanup work going on and while there's a way to go the management is nice, the rest of the staff are nice and it's a nice enough place.
Yes, the roads are twisty, and some of the sites have concrete slabs that are cracked but we had no problem negotiating the roads with a 40 footer plus a tow. The other RVers we saw were similarly not troubled by the spacing. You just have to pay attention to where you're driving - which is pretty good advice anytime you're behind the wheel.
The pool could be kept a little warmer but it IS kept very clean. Laundry facilities are OK.
There are a mixture of park models, numerous annual residents who live and work in the area, so it's not your ultra-social park. The seasonals did potlucks and cards and such but the participation is not as high as one might suspect for a park of it's size. Still, for quiet people like us that was just fine.
We enjoyed our stay, would return if we are in this part of the U.S. again! - Peter P
Jan 2016 - $21.00
This park is fine for an overnight stay, but don't expect to get back on the road easily. The roads are Very narrow and winding. We needed one truck to move in order to pass through on our way out. They do have some concrete sites, which saves time in setup, and all the utilities worked, though the water faucet needed updating. The front desk was very friendly and didn't require any money up front. We would stay here again, but only with a pull-thru and we would leave a half-hour before we needed to get on the road due to the difficult to navigate campground path. Most of the sites are unlevel. Either get #5 or be prepared to use boards. - dad2aprincess
Oct 2015 - $19.00
$19 was our rally rate.
Showers and bathrooms were not clean. The door on the men's room behind the laundry was rusting away.
The roads inside the park are narrow and winding with big trees along them, so for those with bigger rigs need to watch yourselves.
TV was OK, but there were only 17 channels on their sat system.
Wi-Fi was useless much of the time. Log-in protocol was unnecessarily complicated.
The park had too many run-down, dirty perms and long-term units. There were several roaming cats, too.
This park does have easy access off of I-75. The noise from the Interstate is surprisingly not bad.
The office staff seemed friendly and helpful enough. - w3sjkb3aam
Jul 2006 - $20.00
We have camped at this park a lot and it is a 5 star park. The staff are very friendly and they have a beautiful club house and pool area. They are only 10 miles to Ocala and about 18 to Gainesville. They are just mins from I-75 and you cannot hear the traffic on 75. all sites are concrete and most all are level. - lakoda
Jul 2005 - $13.00
We arrived after the office was closed, but our reservation was clearly posted with directions to the site. The sites were clearly marked and well maintained. Very attractive plantings were at the site, and the site was a concrete pad with a concrete patio. When we registered the next morning, the office personnel were extremely pleasant and gave very precise directions to several area attractions. The pool was clean and very well maintained. We would highly recommend this site and will return - tdm8826
Jun 2005 - $26.00
Nice RV park right off I-75 at Orange Lake exit north of Ocala. All sites are level concrete pads with picnic tables and room to spread out. Nice grounds and well kept landscaping. Very clean. Between Gainesville and Ocala. Perfect for overnight. Noticed they have weekly, monthly and reasonable seasonal rates. Both pull-throughs and back-ins. Big rig friendly! - jazzman
Jul 2016 - $31.00
This park was nice, clean and far enough away from the interstate so that it is quiet. The staff that I dealt with were all very nice and friendly. But, it did have a couple of short comings.
The problem with dealing with a call center when making a reservation, is that they really don't know the sites. I requested no trees as I don't like stuff dropping on the motorhome. I was told on the phone to go to site 26 when I made the reservation.
My arrival day was on a Sunday and since the office is not open on Sunday's during low season, there was no one to ask if you have questions. Checking on lot 26 I found the trees too low so I picked another spot, lot 139.
The trees need a major trim-back (and there are a lot of them). Our coach is tall and I had to go off the very narrow roads where I could to get around the low hanging branches. - MarkG.
Jun 2016 - $16.00
What a gem! We had no idea this would be so nice. Beautiful setting, friendly people, large sites with full hook ups. 9 hole golf course was fun and challenging for short hitters. Lovely pool with comfortable lounge chairs. Could use a water fountain or vending machine but the on site restaurant is close enough to get something. The best dog run. Large and flat area, could have used some mowing but not too bad. Our dogs loved being able to really run and stretch their legs. Wish people would pick up though. Even in a dog park you need to pick up!!! Needed closer garbage cans. Good free wifi. Just a lovely place we will definitely return. - tb919
Mar 2016 - $40.00
Well organized and spotless. Restaurant on site has excellent food at very reasonable prices. A bit off the beaten path, but quiet and worth getting to. - JoeIII
Mar 2013 - $11.00
If you are thinking that you will have access to Orange lake, think again. Orange Lake is a swamp except for a dredged channel that does not come near to here. The lake levels have not been high enough for over 25 years. http://www.gainesville.com/article/20111222/articles/111229828?p=1&tc=pg for details. This park is OK for overnight or an inexpensive Passport site for a few days. The depressing part of the situation are the dry boat shelters rusting at the site. WIFI good. Cable Great. Back to back sites so if full it might be tight. - easydoesit
Feb 2012 - $16.00
We loved this park. The owner is a delight and she made sure we got the site we wanted, and this park has unbelievable wifi, which is important to us. Seriously fast and easily available. The workers in the park were all helpful and the long term residents were also friendly and open and not at all "scary". We would definitely stay here again, and may just do the whole winter next year. - Jimbo23
Jul 2011 - $11.00
If you are looking for a "Fancy" park, don't stay here. McIntosh is a historical little town with lovely Victorian style homes. The park is at the end of the main side street, and very simple. It's not new, but very clean. Superb staff, and they are very responsive. Mobile homes adjacent to the park, but clean and neat. Grassy sites abound, and very quiet for the most part. This is our second stay, and not our last. If the lake level ever comes back up to make this the waterfront marina park it was, it would be a '10' in my book! - The Ear Vinery
Apr 2016 - $10.00
Stayed for a month, had a great site with plenty of room. The roads were paved and great for walking or bike riding. The laundry room had nice clean washers and driers. This is our favorite place to stay when in Ocala. A nice quiet park with very friendly owners and campers. - Traveling with the Todds
Mar 2016 - $31.00
The site itself is OK, water ran (low pressure), electricity stayed on, sewer drained. My main reason for bad review is that I did not encounter one single person who was not unpleasant. We pulled in with a reservation to find nobody in the office (4:30pm on Sunday) so we found a spot to park. Around 5:30 came across a couple of very unfriendly characters who turned out to be the maintenance guy and the front desk lady's husband, who I assume are work campers but I don't know. I asked if the knew the wifi password since we were not able to check in and they asked what site we parked in and directed us to check in as the front desk lady was back in the office. Went in to register and the front desk lady was surly and unfriendly. I left the towed car in back of the coach and the next morning the lady who was staying in the 5er next to us snarled "you know you're parked in my yard" so I moved the car to in front of the Motorhome. All in all, a park full of grumpy, angry, unfriendly people who have never even heard of politeness. I have literally never felt more unwelcome at an RV park. Site itself was not level and wifi sucked. - Archer2
May 2015 - $12.00
Have stayed here from May 2015 to July 2015. Also was here May 2014 to January 2015. Great place, large pull thru sites, great cable and wi-fi. Everyone very nice. Managers are great people. Always have stayed here previous in and out of Florida. We camped here in a motorhome. - ob's place
Mar 2013 - $24.00
The name says it all. This is an access to two lakes. There is a boat ramp, docks and bait and tackle shop. The RV sites are grass with a small concrete pad for a patio/picnic table. The longer term residents are friendly and helpful as is the owner/manager. It is pretty much out in the country surrounded by Wildlife Management Areas and close by a state park. We would stay here again if in the Gainesville area. - trailertraveler
Jun 2012 - $52.00
We stayed here and were very disappointed. It was not clean, had bad roads, not too friendly staff, lighting to sites was very poor. Would not stay again. - 1234k
Mar 2012 - $30.00
Stayed here for a week for $132.00. Staff was helpful and courteous, campers friendly. Some older homes in long term stay, but campground sites were nice. We would stay here again. - NHCOUPLE
Feb 2012 - $26.00
We stopped here for one night to use the Passport America discount. The parks regular rate is $36, however, if you use the PA they raise the rate to $46 per night. We paid $26 which is not 50% off. I feel tricked! Would not stay here again. - mlou
Jul 2016 - $9.00
Lot of shade and privacy in level dirt sites. Facilities and campground area are kept clean. Plenty to do here both locally and just a short drive away to other trails. Saw lot of wildlife and plant life. The staff is great. Good park for families and hikers. Has good tenting area. - GDoug
May 2016 - $9.00
The narrow campground road is paved but sites are not. Big rigs should go slow & use extreme caution due to heavy vegetation overhang. Sites are dirt/sand base and very messy. Lots of vegetation between sites and lots of bugs, especially biting flies. Bring repellant. Bathrooms are older but kept very clean. We could get 2 TV stations and satellite would not work as it was too wooded. Restrooms were dated but clean. Very woodsy campground and was great for overnight. - R&S
May 2016 - $18.00
Quiet, wooded campground with good spacing between sites for privacy and plenty of room for slideouts. Crushed gravel roads and pads, free of low branches and fairly level. Picnic tables are solid but old and sites have fire pits and steel arm to hang food off of ground. Restrooms are very clean and showers have shelves, pegs and benches. Mosquitoes were not "fierce" but persistent, so bring repellent. During our stay they struggled with a problem that caused several losses of power, but power company arrived quickly. Also it seemed that water pressure was very low (may be related to the power problem). The Visitor Center is open and has a bucolic film of the SP. There are several trails in the park for walking. Some allow horses and bicycles. Picnic area and lake with boat ramp. The park is very peaceful and enjoyable! - FreeWheeler
Mar 2016 - $35.00
Very nice staff, friendly people, well maintained park. - Double K
Mar 2016 - $29.00
Wild Frontier is a small well-kept campground with only one park model on the grounds. While there are a number of seasonal campers, there was a lot of transient movement during our stay. Water pressure was around 55psi, 50a electric voltage was strong and stable, sewer connections were to the rear of the rig and reachable with a single hose. Every site has an asphalt pad and patio. Our site and many others were generously long and accommodated our 39' rig and truck very well. Site width was reasonable and consistent thru the park at about 30'. For recreation there is a small swimming pool, bean bag toss, horse shoe pits and a few activities organized each week. The office has a small camp store and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again. - Born2Roam
Nov 2015 - $34.00
PA rate was only good for one night. The entrance to the park is thru what appears to be an alley that is next to an RV dealership. Be careful when entering the park. The road is not well marked and is very narrow. The park itself is very nice with tar pads and patios. The service at the site are good//ample water pressure, good electric rate and the sewer is where it should be. I gave the rating of 5 due to the entrance, I would stay here again. - bones1941
Jun 2016 - $60.00
A very attractive RV park, one of the better ones I have been to - well maintained, clean, large spacious sites with many trees. Grounds throughout the park are very petty and community building/pool are very nice. Roads are asphalt and each site has a level long concrete pad with a small picnic table. The pull through sites are exceptionally long. Because of the trees could not use my satellite but cable is very good with 40+ channels. Security gates at both entrances. Staff very friendly. WiFi is not very good, frequently slow and not able to stream video. Williston is a small town remote from central Florida attractions but only about 30 miles from Gainesville. - Tom Willing
Apr 2016 - $51.00
This is one of the nicest parks in Florida. The sites are well spaced, all paved roads, nice pool and plenty of activities. Wifi is good and there approximately 40 cable channels. The is a huge dog park here. All the staff are very helpful and friendly and the owner is a hands on manager that promotes an excellant client satisfaction model. The park is basically away from most amenities but is a good park to rest and relax. I would stay here again. - Irish2
Mar 2016 - $45.00
As is typical for this part of FL, there are many snowbirds here. But there are also many permanent residents who have park models on a lot they own. Even so, this park is spic and span. Of the 400 something sites, we only saw a couple of units that were what we considered to be out of place-either needing a light spruceup or was an older looking model. That is amazing!!! All roads are paved and very spacious for big rigs to maneuver. Our site was a back-in, but there was plenty of room for the turns needed to back in our 45 footer. It is always a pleasure to stay here. Even tho it is a tad pricey, it is well worth it. The fact that it is gated adds to the quality of this park. - DGayle
