One of the cleanest RV parks we stayed at in Florida. Lots nicely spaced, clean, quiet. Beautiful area. Stayed a week. We camped at South Bay RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

The South Bay RV park is a very well maintained by the county and offers boat ramp access to Lake Okeechobee right outside the parks gates which was extremely convenient. The park also has a small lake and canal you can fish in. South Bay left a little to be desired as town in regards to shopping but is only a short drive from a large town. The front office staff was extremely nice. My family and I loved are stay here and plan to come back very soon. We camped at South Bay RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very nice RV park choice when traveling through Florida. The nice, large RV sites are level asphalt and the access roads are also asphalt. The utility hookups are very good, The staff are friendly and the WiFi is good. Unless you are looking to go boating in Okeechobee (a very nice boat ramp is right around the corner), I am not sure what else you would do in is area for an extended stay. You are kind of in the middle of nowhere. We would definitely stay here again when traveling from the Tampa area towards Miami/Key West, however. We camped at South Bay RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

South Bay RV is a Palm Beach county CG at the SE of Lake Okeechobee just west of Belle Glade with easy access. It is large with moderate spacing between paved sites and paved roads with grass and some trees between sites. Two large loops all back in sites. There is a Shiner Lake between the loops with a walking path about it, part paved, part not paved. The bath house was clean and had a screened in laundry at the entrance. One playground. Price/nite was $25 plus tax for $29. Lots of long stay big A RVs. An exceptionally class act RV park. We camped at South Bay RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Clewiston to the west side of Lake Okeechobee is a center for sugar cane fields and sugar processing plants. There is a bus tour of the fields and plants offered by the chamber of commerce that is interesting.

The price we paid reflects the weekly rate. Very nice park. The park has a gated entry, and the roads and sites are all paved. The sites have paved patios, picnic tables, and bar-b-que grills. There is a small pond, with a walking trail. Our cell phones and tablets worked well with the park's wi-fi, but for some reason, I couldn't get my pc to work with it. The hook-ups were easy to get to. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They also accept mail and packages for the people staying there. At dusk, mosquitoes swarm for about an hour, then they seem to leave. There is road noise, as the park sets right off of US 27, one of the main routes through the area. They do have signs warning of alligators, but we never saw one. They have fire rings located around the park. They also have shuffle board available. We camped at South Bay RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Fishing, as the park is right across the street from one of the canals that connects to Lake Okeechobee, with parking and a boat ramp. This is also part of the Lake Okeechobee Scenic Trail, for hiking and biking.

What a great park! It is well-planned, the sites are staggered around a pond so that most have a view of the water. The roads are paved and there is a concrete patio with a picnic table at each site. The pads are blacktopped and wide, because the roads are wide it is easy to back a large motorhome into the site. The best part is that the wifi really works, this is the only park that we have stayed in in our 3 month trip that it really does. There is a nice, although short, walking path within this park. We camped at South Bay RV Campground in a Motorhome.

This was a very clean and well-run campground. We camped here 2 weeks in a motorhome. The sites were large and had plenty of space between sites. There was a pond on the campground that allowed fishing with a walk surrounding the pond. The only problems were the noise from the highway and the lack of convenient shopping and restaurants. The only grocery stores were in the surrounding towns, one 6 miles and the other 16 miles away. The other options were 58 and 75 miles away on each coast of the state. We found the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum, the Sugarlands Tour and Billie Swamp Safari worth the charge for each of them. We left the campground several days earlier than our reservation stated and were pleasantly surprised to receive a phone call stating they were refunding the unused days even though we did not request a refund. The staff was very helpful and courteous. If in the area again we would use as a stop-over for 2 or 3 nights but not much longer than that. We camped at South Bay RV Campground in a Motorhome.

This park is a gem. Paved roads and sites. Barbecue and table provided. Hookups are well placed and worked. Large sites, beautiful landscape. Nice stream running along the park and a lake with a walking path. We would stay here again. We camped at South Bay RV Campground in a Motorhome.

This is our 4th or 5th year staying in this park. We usually stay here at least three months. The park's sites are about half 30 Amp and half 50 Amp so be sure to specify which you want. All the sites are large and are blacktopped. There are several places for campfires but not on every site. Picnic tables and charcoal grills on all sites. Clean restrooms and laundry areas. The monthly rate goes down $50 a month for four months straight then goes back to the starting rate. Nice social hall with screen porch and book exchange area. Security gate with entry code for each guest. Ice and firewood available for purchase. Only downside is the closest grocery store is about five miles away in Belle Glade. Closest Walmart is in Clewiston 15 miles away. This location is 50 miles from West Palm Beach (the ocean) and 78 miles from Fort Myers. We camped at South Bay RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Very clean and top-notch park support. We never found anything out of place while we stayed here. Campsites are reasonably-well spaced and each site had a paved pad. On the downside, the campground is right beside SR-81 and is VERY noisy. If you stay here, try to get a site 1-21 or 141-158 which are the furthest from the road. Those sites aren't quiet but are further from the road than the sites numbered 62-92. While here, take the Clewiston Chamber of Conference tour of historic houses, sugar processing and citrus: it's well worth the while. I probably won't stay here again because of the noise, but again, it is a clean, nice campground We camped at South Bay RV Campground in a Motorhome.

The only reason they get a 9 is its a long way to anywhere. Real nice park clean, well cared for, and friendly people. We camped at South Bay RV Campground in a Motorhome.

The campground was nice except the sites were close together. There is a lot of noise from trucks on the highway that runs along the west side of the campground. The showers were nice and they have washers and dryers available. The Wi-Fi was very slow and only worked part of the time. We camped at South Bay RV Campground in a Motorhome.

We loved this campground. Concrete, level pads and large spacious area. There is a walking path all around the small lake and this campground was kept very tidy. The highway is right in front of the park but we stayed on the back loop and did not hear a thing. We would stay here again when we go down to the Keys. What great hospitality! The park staff could not be nicer. This park was renovated after hurricane damage and is fully equipped. We even had propane "delivery" by a local service provider. The park 'clubs' can keep you busy if you're so inclined. Tours of the local sugar cane and orange industries are good value. The area is economically not too prosperous but the region is hospitable and pleasant. Occasional smoke from cane field burns should not alarm but are likely. Both coasts are only a short drive away. Boating access to the lake is readily available. We camped at South Bay RV Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a Palm Beach County campground. Check-in went very smoothly and we did not have a reservation. Since we were just stopping for one night, we asked for a pull-through site and were allowed to use site #77 despite there not being any actual pull-throughs. We are only 24' towing a Honda. The park was level and clean and neat. I only rated it a 7 because there was no pool and I thought the fee high for the area and being a county park. We would definitely camp here again for a one-night stop over. We camped at South Bay RV Campground in a Motorhome.
