When we first looked at the park we were impressed with the ability to maneuver your rig into your site because the roads were wide enough. The pool was crystal clear and there were an enormous amount of lounge chairs surrounding it, and they were in excellent condition. What really impressed me was all the connections were centrally located on the site unlike a lot of parks I have stayed. One month in park and am very satisfied management all very friendly. Would recommend this park to my friends. Maintenance very kept up, such as lawns etc. Water went out once but was back on in a jiffy. I plan on staying here for at least a year now because the first month went so well, the people who run the place are real and have welcoming personalities, thats important to me. - P D wontdoitagain
Dec 2014 - $10.00
We had a premium site with a nice concrete pad. The staff and neighbors are friendly. I am not sure about the laundry hours they were not consistent. The only time they were open at 7 was when they were left open all night. Fortunately that was the day we did laundry. Also, the bathrooms require a code to open the lock. No one told us that until we were here for 5 days. - Beas
Mar 2014 - $44.00
Booked 2 nights online through chat / phone. Stayed one. Site is billed as "Full Hook Up". Doesn't work for a late model RV with midship water and sewer hookup. Water and sewer connections end up under the coach. 30 amp power is a hot plug loosely attached to a pole with no identifiable circuit breaker. Looking in the open uncovered power box I surmise the wiring does not meet standard electrical code requirements. On arrival the agent asked if we were frightened by the neighborhoods we drove through to get to the resort. He couldn't check us in because he had already closed for the day, before 5:00 PM. He neglected to give us the sign on code so we were unable to use the Wi-Fi. Since we couldn't use the sewer hook up we had to move the RV to the dump station do dump tanks. The only thing that was really good was the cable TV reception which the agent on duty in the morning said we weren't supposed to have. Given that this is our first and only experience with Sun RV Resorts it will be a very long time if ever before we stay at another one. - Tuney-GA

We spent a month at this park, to visit friends. We paid $770.00 for the month. When we checked in the manager was very condescending and talked down to you. The site we were given was in the overflow adjacent to a four lane highway. The surface was sea shells and sloping up to the fence. Due to the very busy highway, we had to wear ear plugs to get any sleep. The highway turns into a racetrack at night. We attempted to get another spot but were refused, even though there were empty spots available. These spots remained empty during our entire stay. The wifi is on and off, depending where you're parked. The up side of this park is it's location. The downside is the management. Rude would be an understatement. We will not return or recommend this park to anyone. - Bruce and Edith

Stayed during when the summer rates were really good. Park was somewhat empty, will return. Restroom very clean. Pool area was clean and nice chairs. - Tropical gardens
Feb 2017 - $65.00
The man in the office was rude, using the f word in his instructions. We have been RVing for 9 years and this is the most hateful representative of a park that we have encountered. The sites were tight, but that is common in this area. The residents were helpful. Wifi was iffy. - SomedayCame

Rates for 2018-2019 are increased just over 30%, because they can, Florida has no rent control laws. Still not to bad for all the amenities and proximity to the beaches and boating. Rates vary depending on length of stay, at least three months ae preferred. - T_I_S_H
Dec 2016 - $40.00
Planned to stay 3 nights but enjoyed the weather and location so much we extended for 3 weeks. Most of the traveling RV sites are near the main road ( 10777 Cortez Rd W, Bradenton, FL ) but the road noise wasn't a problem. The park has limited traveler's spaces as most lots have been converted to permanent over the years. It has a beautiful waterfront road with seating areas that offer great sunset viewings.
The location is great if you like beaching, shopping and eating. Anna Maria Island has beautiful beaches with large free parking areas, bath houses and a food shack all within Coquina Beach just a three mile drive away. lots of water related things to do like parasailing, fishing, rental toys etc. Park potable water had very good pressure and excellent quality. We used our satellite antenna so not having cable wasn't an issue. - G and L
Apr 2014 - $55.00
Sarasota Bay is ruled by the resident owned Paradise Bay. Rules, written and unwritten are enforced or ignored with no logic. Although they advertise 300 sites, in reality there are less than 100 as the majority are park models. Office staff in Sara Bay is outstanding, can't say the same for Para Bay. Extended stays here are the norm, and once you are in, you can reserve your site for 3 or more months for next year, prior to Feb. There are no shade trees. HOWEVER..This is a great community for those who return. On site there are bowling, shuffle, bocce, pool leagues, cards and games every night, current movies every Saturday. Boat docks and storage available, $405.00 yearly. Biking distance to Gulf beaches and restaurants. Wireless is absolutely useless, down more than up but Brighthouse is available to install internet or cable usually on a days notice. We have been returning for ten years and have noticed many changes and will return. Have recommended to others. No mail service, but Cortez P.O. is a mile away. Considering all the amenities this is the best value in the area, if you can get in. Para Bay is on the intercoastal and the marina is walking/bicycle distance from the furthest site. - T_I_S_H

Great staff, friendly people, lots of amenities and participation with RVers and full timers in Mobile park. Very nice pool, hot tub. Pool room, library, horseshoes, pickle ball, patanque, shuffleboard, bingo. RV portion of park was nice but a little tight to navigate and most sites were crowned asphalt with cement patios. Partially shaded by nice big leafy trees. Wood shop. On the river with an additional pavilion for outings and picnics. Tight parking for 45' MH and car, most people have to park side ways and on the grass just to stay on the site. - Jimbo1973
Apr 2016 - $19.00
We stayed here one night while heading south to Fort Myers. The $19 rate was a Tampa RV Show special. The normal nightly winter rate is $38. There is an area in the back of the park where RV's are placed. You have to drive through all the park model areas to get to it. It is tight getting around. You have to be careful!! This appears to be a snowbird park with little coming and going of transient traffic.
We had a narrow pull through on an the end of a row by the maintenance shed.
The park was adequate for our needs for the night. - Howard Jaros
Feb 2016 - $39.00
Majority of park is made up of park models and RV's mixed together. The RV sites in this section are on grass with a separate paved driveway; the patio in this area are of various sizes and locations and may or may not align with your steps and awnings. Getting into these spaces can be challenging for larger rigs and there are some size limitations. There is a pull through area with paved pads and more consistent patios, however more road noise in this section. Nice pool and plenty of activities. We stayed monthly and rate was $1190 jumping to $1250 for 2017. - Ohrver

Jan 2018 - $50.00
This is not really an rv park. It is more of a park model community with a few rv spaces to rent. It is incredibly clean and has many amenities, such as a heated pool, shuffleboard, movie night, tennis, coffee & donuts, etc. It is right next to the airport and you do hear plenty of planes taking off and landing. The people who live here (mostly for the winter) love the place and are very friendly. We were here for a week to visit friends who live nearby and it was ideal. The cable hook-ups are weird but there are plenty of regular channels. - virginianola
Jul 2017 - $43.00
This is a very clean community. I really wouldn't call it an RV park. They have 400 spaces, with 40 of them given to RV's as rentals. The rest are mobile homes. It's very quiet here, and very clean. The site is all concrete, and has a picnic table. The laundry was clean and cheap ($1.25 to wash and $.75 to dry) - but no change machine. No wifi at sites. Large pool. Very convenient location to Sarasota attractions. Because the price is good and the location is minutes away from Sarasota, I would definitely stay here again if in the area. - jillhodges
Jan 2016 - $53.00
A bit pricey, but very nice. This is a gated community, with access by card. Almost all are permanent mobile homes, with only a few spots for rv's. Very nice office staff and residences. The only noise was the planes taking off and landing at the very nearby airport. If I didn't know better, I would have thought they were landing on our RV. The spots are super narrow and so are the streets. All the streets are paved and the spots are cement. Many one way streets. Over all, very nice and we will be back again. - esta34950

As other posters have noted, the interior roads are very tight and the whole campground seems crowded. You certainly need the assistance of the host to help navigate the roads and back into your assigned site. The landscaping between sites does a wonderful job of creating privacy, but you are sure close to your neighbor. The waterfront sites are simply sites along a narrow overgrown canal. I thought the price was a little high. Looking over the past reviews it seems the rates have been increasing. - moleary18
Jul 2017 - $80.00
We stayed here over the 4th of July weekend. The park was full but was quiet in spite of the holiday. Sites are level and concrete or pavers. Electric water and sewer hookups were conveniently located. Sites were separated by nice landscaping. There was enough room at our site for our 25 ft motorhome and vehicle. Dog walking was rather limited but we did not find it a problem and it looked like everyone cleaned up behind their pets. Wi-fi was spotty but great if you were close to the office. - j&b
Jan 2017 - $120.00
This is the most we have paid for a site but we were waiting for warranty work on our truck and found this place nearby. Nice' clean sites mostly inhabited by owners. Roads a bit tight but manageable. Easy walking to restaurants and mini mart and close to everything else by car or bike. Would stay again. - Fox Mountain

Apr 2018 - $90.00
Stayed for two nights while going to a Tampa Rays game (about 50 minutes travel time). Park is very close to Anna Maria Island and located in the historic village of Cortez. This is a well maintained park with a front and back section. The front section seems to have traffic noise while the back section (for larger rigs) is quieter. The sites are close together and all back-in. Our site was located between two trees and across from the doggie waste bag dispenser which made for a multi-turn exercise in backing in and got us an audience of a dozen residents. The wi-fi is very good and the cable has more channels than any other I have ever seen. We were there during a very heavy rainfall and there was no flooding. The sites are concrete with a paver section with table. Hookups were good for power and water but the waste would require an extension to a 15 ft. hose. I would have given them a nine except for the tight site. - Rd yacht

Great location with easy bike ride over the intracoastal to beach, shops, restaurants and more. The sites are little close but never had a problem with privacy. Owners are super nice and easy check in and check out. Paperwork is waiting at your site and you are all set. - Strutt

Best location of an RV park, 1/2 mi from the beach. Love coming here. They usually are full the winter months. We will be back. Well maintained, small pool, but heated. Internet was slow. - Jenne23

Unfortunately, the overall condition is deteriorating (we have stayed 3 times over 3 years). The restrooms and showers need some serious attention. On the plus side, the location is very good ... Walmart, Publix, and HomeDepot within 10 minutes ... excellent beaches within 45 minutes. - BruceVero

Went there for a quiet time to rest and relax the noise from the interstate was horrible couldn't hear yourself think..also the noseeems bugs were bad couldn't hang out out side the camper. The people for nice and friendly...the boat ramp is bad - never maintained.... Probably won't go back there even for free.. - Camper goer
Feb 2017 - $66.00
We were in a premium site but were still very close to I75. The noise from the highway is difficult for sleeping if you like it quiet. We left a day early because of that. You're also packed like sardines next to other RVs. You have to empty your own trash at the dumpsters by the exit of the facility. I would expect trash service at the rate they charge. Overall, the worst place we stayed at in our 3 month trek throughout Florida. - Lnskaye

This is a very clean manicured snow bird park. 90%+ of sites are the small snowbird homes. The lady in the office was very helpful. They have 16 pull thrus; but if you are a longer than a 30ft motor home pulling a towed you will need to unhook. Wife asked we would have to unhook; reservations are made by a central office off site not familiar with RV's. and they said we would not have to unhook. That said it is a nice overnight spot, if you do not mind unhooking. Wi Fi works great today. - rmartin
Feb 2017 - $62.00
Office lady was very concerned when she saw our rig. Even looked to see if there was another spot to tuck us in. Had to keep original spot, but it was fine for our 42 ft rig. Could probably hold 45ft. We did back onto fence line and had road noise from Florida rd. 70. Location is not far from I75. But noise seemed to settle down after about 10 pm. Power pedestal was a bit worn, but good power. Good water pressure too. Early morning sunshine and shade would start about 3 pm. Used air for about 3 hrs as coach tends to warm up. Otherwise had windows open till AC kicked on at 79. Lots of permanent homes with RV spaces intermingled. There were some pull-throughs, but really glad we didn't get one. They were full sun. Large square lake in middle with fishing, birds and a gator in 2016. He was removed and none seen this year. Residents are very friendly. Marked gravel, but it was crushed shells. A bit soft, but rig is heavy. Had to be careful backing in due to large power box across street and street sign. Could have used 2 spotters, but made it without a problem. Was able to unhitch prior to site and will be able to hitch tow prior to leaving after pulling out. If in area again will gladly return. - Linda R
Jan 2017 - $1.00
This is a very nice park that has a combination of park models and RV's (about 2/3 stationary park models). It has a pretty lake in the middle, is very well maintained and is in a great area. I needed a place to work from and this fit the bill. I haven't used the amenities other than their gym which surprisingly is well equipped for its size. It's near 75, lots of shopping, restaurants, etc. Our lot was a back in but had plenty of room for our car, picnic table, barbecue, etc. It's a 55+ park. I did a monthly rate and I believe it was +/- $1,200 a month. Very nice people, super quiet. Highly recommended (and I am kind of picky). - User529

Older RV park but well maintained. Gravel sites surrounded by lawn. Some shaded and some open. Some sites are short so make sure you ask for a long site if you're in a big rig. The 50 amp plugs receptacles were installed upside down yet the power was fine. It appears that about 75% of the sites are for full timers and the remainder for transients. Nice pool and fitness room. Only 20 minutes to St. Pete beach. Rate reflects Passport America discount. We will stay here again in our motorhome if we need to visit St Pete. - lmg
Nov 2014 - $45.00
Things I liked were the Staff was very pleasant and helpful. The long term snowbirds and permanents are the priority here and they were most friendly and those we talked with raved about the place. Many have been there for years. The location of this campground is great as it is minutes to St Petersburg or Bradenton. Access for big rigs is good as the roads are paved and wide enough to maneuver. Pool and spa area is beautiful and virtually on the water with magnificent views. The pool was heated and very comfortable for swimming. Not so good things are short timers are not the priority here. Sites are not so level. I needed to drag out the blocks to lift the front end higher. Each site has a slab for outside sitting, and some were in pretty shabby condition. Picnic tables are real rough as they appear many years old, and do not appear to have ever seen any paint. Visual appeal for our site was less than ideal. The dumpsters were not in some remote part of the campground as is typical in most. We were located across the road from dumpsters and storage areas. We spent two weeks watching everyone arrive daily, often in noisy trucks, to dump their trash in the dumpster. It was a lot of undesired noise and an unsightly view. But only a few sites in the 40?s numbers are subject to this. The spa was not working during our stay. WIFI signal was strong at our site 43 however the bandwidth was poor. We heard others comment on how poor the WIFI worked. Cable is not ?turned on? at any given site. We were told we must go in town and contact Brighthouse to have cable turned on at our site. I assume at our cost. We did not pursue having it turned on. TV Reception was not so good for us. Most evening TV shows we were used to were unavailable. - Denny Pike
Feb 2013 - $28.00
Nice enough RV park, typical snowbird park. Sites are tight, the back in's in the center are literally back to back RV's. The pool and hot tub were operational, clean, and nice. The game room was seldom if ever used while we were there, 2 free pool tables, and a ping pong table. We didn't take in the breakfast meals, or other things they had, but heard good reviews. This is mostly a snowbird location, has nice older large trees and shade, electric/water/sewage was not a problem all worked well. Very good restaurant within walking distance (just watch the traffic while crossing). The rate reflects a monthly rate, would definitely stay here again. - Robnmo
