26 Parks near South Daytona, Florida
Mar 2016 - $31.00
This is a co-op and most of the lots are owned. They have some spaces for temporaries. This was a last minute choice due to our original choice being under water from recent rains. The first night they only had room in "the back forty". It was on grass with electric and water only. It was a nice spot with good spacing between units. The roads were gravel. The next couple of nights we were moved into the non owner section. It also had gravel roads, gravel spaces, but very close to neighbors. So close you have to be careful with your slides that you don't hit your neighbor. These were more level than the back forty. If the back forty had sewer, I would have preferred there. - esta34950
Sep 2011 - $30.00
No one in office, self registered. First site we picked electric didn't work, second site had to get 30 amps out of the 50 amp plug. Would not stay here again. - Cruiser31
May 2016 - $20.00
International remains Daytona's best bet and we have just spent our 6th winter there. Rate reflects a full season stay. The vast majority of sites are 50 amp full hookups. WiFi is mostly available and phase 3 has cable. All roads are paved, sites in phase 3 are also paved. On site work campers keep everything in working order. This is no longer a place you can just arrive at and expect a site during the winter months. Park runs close to full most of the time. During events (Turkey Run, Race Week, Bike Week, etc.) sites can be hard / impossible to come by. Call ahead to check availability, they are very accommodating in trying to find a place for you. They have a couple of electric only overflow spots and dry camping is available during certain times. - Bob and Inga
Mar 2016 - $28.00
Very nice RV park with a great location for the Speedway and the Daytona Farmer's and Flea Market. The office staff was very cordial and efficient. We received the Passport America rate for both nights. People in the park were very friendly. This park is well laid out and easy to navigate. On the down side: (1) sites are on top of each other, (2) cater to snowbirds, with very few sites available during the winter season for transients and (3) we had loud music and a party behind us for about 3 hours without any action by the park management. - Teacher's Pet
Nov 2015 - $20.00
Check in was efficient, friendly and helpful - we were escorted to our site. The site was a paved double long pull through. - D and M
Jun 2016 - $1.00
Camp is super clean and easy to access RV spots -we had a pull through. Staff was very friendly. Would definitely stay again if in the area. A few very loud partying/drinking neighbors, but otherwise a nice park! - DwFriedberg
Apr 2016 - $1.00
We have a 40' motorhome with a toad. The only negative for this park is the entrance/exit. The stone pillars are very attractive but make for very tight turns. The curbing shows that everyone has rubbed their tires. The sites for travelers are quite spacious with some open for good satellite and others under the trees for shade. There were few 50 amps available but the weather was cool enough for 30 amp to be adequate. We will return. - Seeingtheusa.com
Oct 2015 - $19.00
This is a nice relaxed, easy going park in an almost natural setting with big mossy oaks, canals and bridges and a nice looking clubhouse. - pmc32720
May 2016 - $14.00
Stayed in the Riverside Loop. 50/30/20 amp, water; inner sites have sewer. Outside sites more privacy. No shade, but level asphalt/gravel sites. Staff is great. Mile long hiking trail, bike paths (paved and unpaved), kayaking on the Inter-Coastal Waterway, fishing, small butterfly garden. Well maintained loop. Only a short walk across A1A to the beach. And, a short walk/bike ride/drive to Flagler Beach for groceries, restaurants, fuel, etc. Would return to Riverside Loop definitely. - GDoug
Dec 2015 - $28.00
We reserved site #57/Riverside on a walk-in availability. So wonderful to get a RV site! The office staff are extremely nice! Very clean park and level gravel back-in site! We will return again and again! - Spartan1239
Mar 2015 - $28.00
One of our favorite campgrounds, we stay here at least once a year if we can get reservations. Beachfront camping. They are expanding to the intercoastal side of the park, should be open later this year. Several excellent restaurants in the area. - philandterri35
Dec 2015 - $14.00
Rate is monthly not including electric. Reasonable!
This park is not terrible but deserves a pros and cons;
Sites are large and mostly pull thrus BUT the landscaping is in terrible shape and the sites are very dirty. Some people a few sites down who used to come here a lot left due to the conditions.
Restrooms are very clean BUT are old and worn and hit and miss if you get hot water.
Has play ground, shuffle board and basketball BUT they have not been cleaned in a long time and are not usable.
The office is open and staffed BUT I disagree with others in that they are borderline rude.
The laundries are open air, clean and well kept BUT the machines are old and need replaced.
Cable is pretty good BUT seems to be rebooting a lot.
WiFi is available and good most of the time BUT as the park fills up and in the evening it really slows down.
The pool is very nice, clean and well kept BUT not heated and very cold. Not usable this time of year.
This is the first park in 4 years of travel that we did not make new friends. Very clickish.
I am not really that picky but did not enjoy our month stay here. Probably will not come back. - digger2280
Jan 2015 - $35.00
The interior dirt/sand roads are the worst we've ever seen with many holes apparently caused by the early season flooding. They are badly in need of a road grader. The manager drags a `box' around but that only fills in the small holes. There is no need for a 5 mph speed limit because the holes will not allow any faster speed. - Dick_B
Oct 2014 - $38.00
We came in after their unusual office hrs of 8:30-4:30 and chose one of the 5 sites made available. The CG has an old FL atmosphere with sand and some grass in level sites. But there were several issues: The sewer connection was all the way to the rear and even with an extension we couldn't reach it. So the pull thru turned out to be a hassle as we had to unhook and back up to connect. Cable TV did not work. The Wifi thru Tengo wanted an email to send the coupon code which I assume we would have received during their business hours. Inconvenient and easer to use the iPhone. Excellent electrical power, quiet but needs a little maintenance to make it more than just an overnite destination. There are some open sites in the rear which may eliminate some of these problems. - Team Asphalt
Jun 2016 - $10.00
This park is located very close to some really good restaurants and bars, not to mention the beach. We had a pull-through site and were able to park next to the pool and office. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool is very nice and large. Some previous reviews talk about this park being small and hard to park in. I disagree. I have a 44 ft rig and had zero problems navigating the park. - Youngcop
Mar 2016 - $100.00
Park was very clean and nice with lots of shade trees. Park was quiet even though we were there during Bike Week. Clean bathrooms with plenty of large showers. Friday and Saturday night a band played at the pool. The only issue we had was during check in was our spot that we reserved was given to someone else. We ended up with a better spot so they were very accommodating. We learned from past guests the rate was increased quite a bit for the weekend due to the events going on. I would definitely stay again. Close to Daytona without being in all the traffic.
(Lot spacing was nearby and mostly shady. Site surface was a concrete pad and featured a picnic table and patio.) - KathyMike
Feb 2016 - $31.00
We booked our site with Encore at the RV Supershow in Tampa. They advertise a price then add a resort fee. Knowing this I asked what the bottom line would be and received a price. Once I arrived they added tax. I have stayed at Encore parks before without the added tax. Our site had the storm water drain in the middle. It did not rain while we were there and had no problems. We were told we had a FHU site. Turns out the sewer is a honey wagon that comes by twice a week. The site was to have a picnic table. We did not have one when we arrived and I asked if they could bring one to our site. There were tables at unoccupied sites. We stayed 7 nights and never received a table. At the RV Supershow we booked two other Encore parks only to have them call us 3 days later and say those parks were not available. Nothing with Encore appeared to be what it appears. - Beas
Mar 2016 - $35.00
Spaces fairly tight but adequate. Dog run not on CG map & I didn't find it till late 2nd day. Quiet. Pool looked nice although we did not use it. Decent location for beach access without staying in the middle of beach crowd. Don't think I'd stay for long term but OK for a couple of nights. - ebaldy
Apr 2015 - $30.00
This is an older Florida style park but it is close to most shopping and dining options. To get to the beach we biked about 2.5 miles going over one of the main bridges to the beach. The park is about 8-10 miles from the main entrance to Daytona Beach. This park had several full time regulars. The sites are wide and open and it is quite heavily treed. We used the pool a few times and it was great. We would recommend this park. - gypsy parrotheads
Feb 2015 - $32.00
Staff very friendly and helpful. Location is outstanding. Parking our 36' in the 50A site out front was challenging because of trees and location of sewer and narrow site. Would have been very difficult if there was a neighbor on one side. As it was we had a good stay and would consider returning. - upstateny
Nov 2015 - $30.00
Paved roads, clean with level spots. The spaces are close and grass. It had rained a good bit before we got there. The ground was a bit soft, but not enough to cause a problem. There are a lot of seasonal/permanent residences. It is a quiet park, but a lot of the units are old and a bit run down. The owners are friendly and helpful. There is a pool that looks very inviting. Laundry facilities are available and look clean. - esta34950
Feb 2015 - $34.00
Clean and quiet. Pet friendly. Everyone picks up after their pet. Friendly neighbors and office help. Level but narrow sites. A lot of permanent and seasonal residence. Our water spigot did not work so we hooked into the neighbor. We stayed during race week and did experience the problem the previous reviewer had. We were able to make a reservation. Worst part was the train that blew it's whistle. It sounded so close that I thought it was going to come through our motorhome. We would stay again. - esta34950
Jun 2015 - $31.00
Very nice people. Needed a place to stay before I went to Disney, and I called after hours. The owner told me to come on and told me where to park. I have a 31 footer with jeep being flat towed. Site would have been level except I didn't want to unhook. Clean restrooms and owners even woke up early so that we could get an early start. - Tomwillis
Sep 2014 - $35.00
Quiet, family owned park with plenty of shade. Interior roads are narrow with tight turns and low hanging tree limbs. The park is a maze of roadways with some roads as sites and some sites as roads. Be sure to get an escort to your site. Hosts are friendly and accommodating . Utilities are in good working order but are in inconvenient locations. They have a restaurant on location for daily breakfasts that was decent. The pool was nice but needs to be cleaned. Bathrooms were old but clean. The park is not big rig friendly or multiple slide friendly. The park has a lot of potential. We would come here again. - Mamaluca
Nov 2013 - $19.00
Rate reflects Passport America rate. Cons:roads in the campground are narrow and tight, the pool was not cleaned and the wifi was erratic. However, folks were friendly, the sites are reasonably level and shady. We spent a week, went to a couple of ice cream socials and had interesting conversations with the owner, Lewis. Clean up the leaves and clean the pool and I would give it an 8. It is a campground, not an RV resort. - kcook
Jun 2016 - $24.00
We loved this park. The spring and river are great for paddling, the spring is also wonderful for tubing and swimming. You can walk to the springs entrance from the campground if you're in reasonably good health. The line to get in here gets long on the weekends, so be mindful of this if you are arriving or trying to get back in to the park mid-day. We will go back during manatee time. This was our last trip in the "Big Rig" 32' Tango rear lounge. - avbrendan
Apr 2016 - $25.00
The campsites are very private with screens of Florida scrub forest in a U around each site. It makes backing in a little crazy, but once you are in, you feel like you are in your own private piece of Florida. Our site was level and had water and electricity. There is a short path down to the Springs. The Manatees that winter there had just left when we were there in early April. So we snorkeled and swam in the 73 degree water. You can snorkel over the spring and look down into the huge broken gash in the earths surface where the water comes out. You can rent floaty tubes and a small locker for your keys. You can also rent snorkel gear, we brought our own. - ShoreXplorers
Apr 2015 - $25.00
Most sites are packed sand, but fairly level. However, a few sites are being paved. Vegetation surrounds each campsite, providing for some nice privacy. While sites do have electric and water there is no sewer service at the sites. There is, however, one dump station in the park. A footpath connects the RV park to Blue Spring where the water is always a refreshing 73 degrees. Overall, this is a fantastic park and we'll certainly be back. - Cap'n G
