First and foremost this park is a beach park. That being said, there is sand everywhere. If you LOVE the beach this park is for you. All the roads are sand. Its packed and not a problem driving around. The roads are very narrow. Drainage is not good if it rains as there are puddles everywhere including your slab which will be underwater for a while. Bottom line is if you really love the beach you won't mind paying $100 a night for a sandy, very crowded, wet stay. If you have a trailer, you better be great at backing into your site. We camped at Bryn Mawr Ocean Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful setting on the ocean. Uneven sand roads, cement pads. Nice raised, covered deck on site. If you want beach convenience, this is the place. Not far from beautiful St Augustine. We camped at Bryn Mawr Ocean Resort in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 7 nights in a beach front site. Cost was $80/night plus 10.5% tax or $88.40/night total. We called in January to reserve for April and they were full. Called two weeks later and were thrilled that a beach front site had opened up. Lucky us! Check in was efficient. Office and maintenance staff friendly. Our amazing site offered a large, level cement pad with plenty of room for 45' plus a toad parked sideways and reasonable space between neighbors. Sites vary as they are individually owned. Ours had a raised & covered patio with picnic table plus a separate metal table for our grill and pretty stone landscaping on each side of site. CG is clean, well-managed and the location is fabulous. The beach is immediately adjacent to the park and couldn't be more beautiful. There are lots of amenities for kids and adults. Very family friendly. Trash picked up daily at site. All hook-ups worked perfectly. Clear sky for DirecTV. Good signal for Verizon cell and Mifi. A few negatives - the palm trees along the exit route inside the park need trimming (specifically up high for tall rigs). The spa had warm water but not hot as it should be and the jets didn't "jet" water. The DH said it was more of a warm tub rather than a spa. I didn't see any recycling. Entrance to CG is a little quirky. If you're a big rig towing, enter very slowly so you can decide if you want to unhook the toad before or after the gate. Before the gate can be tough because the curve may prevent you from getting straight enough to unhook. If need be, the office will gladly open the gate to allow you through and, on the other side, you'll have plenty of space to unhook. This is a popular CG (for good reason) so plan ahead and reserve early. If you call and they're full, keep trying. We enjoyed our time here and would be absolutely delighted to stay again. We camped at Bryn Mawr Ocean Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Easy access to grocery stores. Recommend Soggy Doggy dog grooming a mile south on A1A. Historic St. Aug. is magical and the fort is very special. Kids will love the canon demonstration! To see the early 1800's historic shipwreck that washed ashore in March 2018 in Ponte Vedra - park at Exxon station and walk north on beach about 1/2 mile. It's in front of private residences in the 2500 block on A1A.

This is a very large campground right on the ocean with wide, beautiful beaches. Campsites are not spacious but set up with cement pads and some, as ours did, had a covered gazebo with picnic table. I don't think you can request specific sites but I did ask for one with gazebo. We stayed mid park, site 74, and it was a reasonable walk to the beach. The roads are narrow but the big rigs did not seem to have a problem. Everyone was very friendly and checking in was hassle free. Trash is picked up at your site everyday. The campground is located close to lots of grocery stores and restaurants. Historic downtown only 15 min away....don't miss. We camped at Bryn Mawr Ocean Resort in a Motorhome.

Stayed in an oceanfront site. First the good..great beach and easy access. Very dog friendly. I'm not sure what's happening to this campground. Been coming for the last 10 years and it has been in a steady decline. Hot Tub not working, pool was ok but no one monitors it and kids are loud. It rained on one day and the roads flooded horribly and some sites had a foot of standing water. Being from Florida I was amazed that the maintenance crew pumped dirty gas & diesel filled water right in the protected dune area. We watched in amazement as the dirty water ran into a turtle den. Most of the sites are full of weeds and no one even blows them off when someone leaves. I asked to talk to the manager and the front office said the president of the board runs the park but he was not available and no one ever came to our site the entire week. It's sad to see what could be a great campground get worse year after year. I can't understand why the owners don't have professional management and put up with the lack of maintenance. The people who weed whacked the sites left clipping all over and the paths to the beach were full of cut weeds. Some of the owner sites are very nice and landscaped but those are few. I hope the management changes soon or we will not be back. We camped at Bryn Mawr Ocean Resort in a Motorhome.

Park is tight but most in FL are. Roads are in need of a lot of maintenance and about half the sites have standing water if it rains. We had several days of rain and there was almost always 3-4 inches of standing water on our site. Had to wear flip flops between the car and RV and change shoes once we made it to the car. Our slide was right up against our neighbors tow vehicle. Beach is right outside your door so if that's what you want then this is the place for you. Other than that, there's nothing here worth the money. Some sites have raised and covered patios and some don't. I guess the sites are privately owned and the amenities at each site are in the hands of the individual owners. Some sites are OK and some are bad (like ours). Unless you come here often you have no way of knowing what you'll get. I doubt we'll be back. We camped at Bryn Mawr Ocean Resort in a Motorhome.

If you want direct ccess to the beach, this may be a good choice for you. Each site has a concrete pad which is nice. All of the roads are very narrow, gravel and pretty rough. There ate a lot of old, run down park models which make the park look just tired. It is definitely not worth what they charge. We camped at Bryn Mawr Ocean Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed for one week in March. The rate was $73/night. With tax, it was $80.67/night (ouch). The reservation process and check-in went smoothly. The reception staff is professional and efficient but perhaps not oozing with warmth and hospitality (which is ok). The roads are tight but manageable. There are plenty of big rigs (40' plus) so don't let tight roads scare you off. Our site had a raised and covered deck with table and chairs. Decks were fairly common for rv sites which is really nice. The park location with easy access to the beach can't be beat...and it's a very lovely beach. All hook-ups worked perfectly. We did not use their cable so I can't comment on that. Verizon cell, Sprint Mifi and DirecTV worked well. We enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again. Here are a few pointers: 1.) When pulling into the driveway, you have two choices. 1. Come in VERY SLOWLY and be on the RIGHT SIDE and STOP. If you don't, there is a hard left turn and an immediate entry gate. You won't be able to unhook your toad and you'll be blocking the gate. 2. If you end up too far forward (which we did), your passenger can run into the office and ask them to open the gate. Then you can go through the gate to the front of the maintenance bldg and unhook where there is plenty of space. It's definitely a quirky entrance. Bottom line - enter very slowly so you have time to decide what you want to do. 2.) If your site has a raised, covered deck, watch your mirror and the roof of the deck when pulling into your site. Depending on your rig and your site, you might fold the mirror inward if you can. 3.) Jets in the spa were not working but water temp was comfortable. 4.) Campground wifi is sketchy at best. Given the price, one would hope for better quality wifi service. 5.) I wish it wasn't so expensive but - as they say - location location location. It's in a lovely location. We camped at Bryn Mawr Ocean Resort in a Motorhome.

O'Steen's Restaurant has the best-ever lightly breaded fried shrimp. They only take cash. Expect a wait. It's worth it! Bring your Natl Park Pass to visit Castillo de San Marcos. We were pleasantly surprised by the Lighthouse Maritime Museum. The grounds, exhibits and guided tour were much better than most. "Flagler Beach to Marineland Trail" is a great bike path. Park at River to Sea Preserve just South of Marineland on the East side of A1A. If you get to Flagler Beach, try Bayne's BBQ.

We enjoyed our stay at Bryn Mawr. Location right on the beach was fantastic. Sites were reasonably sized and the decks on most RV sites were a lovely bonus. Campground was very dog friendly and the ability to walk endlessly on the beach with our pet was wonderful. Two things keep this campground from being a favorite for us. First, while the sites are reasonably sized, the roads are very narrow. We were able to get in and out, but it was a challenge with our 40' fifth wheel and Ram 5500. Second, our arrival here was not without challenges. We called ahead to check that our site was ready, was assured it was, only to be called back shortly to tell us that the site wasn't ready. We ended up waiting in a parking lot down the street for over an hour while they waited for the previous renter to leave. Office staff regularly didn't return phone calls as well both before and during our stay. Ground staff maintained the facility well, so a definite plus on that front. While we loved the campground, the narrow roads will likely mean we won't stay again, however if we were in a smaller rig this would definitely be a return spot. We camped at Bryn Mawr Ocean Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

When I called to make reservations for our MH, I specifically asked if this site would be big rig friendly and I was assured that it was. I wanted to come here to be by a dog-friendly beach and figured that it would be somewhat cramped. What I didn't expect was that the resort would be mostly park models. As we headed to our site, 109, we started having difficulties navigating the very narrow roads. We were going by the outline given to us at the office. She had marked the wrong road, one less than we needed to turn. The result was that our turn was so tight that we hit a streetlight. Luckily, we didn't sustain any damage to our mh and after having the maintenance man check out the street light, it was not damaged either. Not a great start to our week. We definitely should not have been sent down to our site in a 45 ft MH. Hubby is trying to figure out the best way to get out of here in the morning without hitting something else. The location was fantastic. Right on A1A with lots of restaurants and shopping close by. You could not see the beach from your campsite because of the sand dunes, but the beach was easily accessed by several boardwalks. I did love the covered patios that were attached to some sites. Very cozy, and fun watching how residents decorated them with lights, etc. There seems to be one set of rules for the seasonal visitors and another for transients. We have to pay $5 for each visitor and pay extra for pets and were told very firmly that only vehicle was allowed per campsite. I noted many of the park models that had more than one car, sometimes making it difficult to get through. The staff was not the friendliest. They seem to talk about each other to clients. We camped at Bryn Mawr Ocean Resort in a Motorhome.

Great park for convenience to St. Augustine and A1A beaches. Picked this park for its direct access to the beach; great beach location. Typically beachfront RV parks are tight and this was no different. About half the park is settled with full time trailers, which provides a more residential atmosphere. Stayed 5 nights, including January 1st. We did not use any of the facilities; but they seemed to be in good order. Only problem was the lack of Wi-Fi/Internet! Our site was located directly across from the transmitter and still no connection. Our camping buddies had the same problem. We camped at Bryn Mawr Ocean Resort in a Travel Trailer.

The beach access was great. The heat in pool and jets in hot tub not working. The showers in bathhouse hot and clean. Counters in bathhouse could stand good wipe down.
