As with most KOA's, overpriced and cramped. Our pull through site included a concrete patio with table and chairs and gas grill. Tight getting in site for big rig. Asked for a site where we could get satellite - but not given one. Biggest problem (why I gave it a 4) was bad electrical power. They DID look at it twice, but never resolved. Luckily didn't need AC. We camped at St Augustine Beach KOA in a Motorhome.

We got a pull through bordering the lake which, after we moved, was magnificent. The problem is that for motorhomes as they direct you, the front window does not face the lake. It is possible, with very tight maneuvering to drive around so that you face the lake and then all is quite magnificent. Would only recommend that trouble for multiple days stay. This of course means that you have to put the utilities under the coach. Those sites were not level, so we had to make lots of modifications. The place is well located, but the drives are very tight and we had to drive over a curb to make it. It is overpriced as with other comments. Again, we really enjoyed looking at the lake. We camped at St Augustine Beach KOA in a Motorhome.

Had to stop in on the way to Disney. I was on a bind because it was 1:00 in the morning. Check in was easy, and efficient. Sites were a little tight and had some permanent folks there. Plenty of room lengthwise, we were towing jeep. Sites were level and it was quiet. The bath houses were dated but in good shape. My only issue and it was a big one was the price. We stayed there 5 hours andbit was $91. I thought this was outrageous. I will know better next time. We camped at St Augustine Beach KOA in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for two nights over a weekend to spend time with friends. Pull through sites were nice - none of the sites are particularly private, but the ones that are lakeside do have a bit of shrubbery and trees in between as well as nice little patios with patio furniture and grills. The pool and bathrooms looked well cared for and the campground folks were very nice and helpful during check in. The fountains in the lake were pretty and it was a nice little campground to walk around. KOAs are generally overpriced and this one was no exception, but it was handily placed in St Augustine Beach with easy access in and out, and a nice place for a short weekend with friends. We camped at St Augustine Beach KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

The park is convenient to St Augustine, but I rate it satisfactory for value as $76.41/night seems high. We tend to stay at state and county parks due to the openness of the sites that you don't get at commercial locations. I will say the way the sites are situated along the pond on "Fisherman Way" provides the best use of the spaces with good views of the pond and minimal viewing of neighbors. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Although the site was a pull-through, there is an incline up to the center of the pad where it is fairly level. For our 30' camper, this was not a problem. We noticed longer rigs that required extensive blocking under the rear stabilizers and the front of the rig was nose down to achieve level. We parked our truck across the front of the space as pulling into the space would have left our truck out in the road. This was not a problem, just something to be aware of. The cable was knocked out by a storm the morning of our arrival, but we used our antenna and pulled in numerous channels with no problem. We camped at St Augustine Beach KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Tickets for the Old Town Trolley can be purchased in the office and the on site shuttle pickup occurs at 8 minutes past the hour. We just missed the pickup and drove into town and parked at the Old Time Parking lot for free. Getting into town was very easy. The St Augustine Distillery tour was great. Loved their Florida Mule.

Park overall looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months. Our site hadn't been touched before our arrival or after I requested it

As a KOA campground it needs more owner involvement. Very noisy at night. Needs upgrades, the web site shows level sites!! NOT. Need releveling and new pavement. They need a landscaper to clean the sites before and during your stay. We camped at St Augustine Beach KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Best thing about this park was leaving. Discovered after we came back from dinner that the power had low voltage (our EMS was shutting down to prevent damage). Several attempts to get someone from the park to fix were not successful. Switched to a 30amp plug and had the same result. Bottom line is we spent two nights with no AC and significant interruption in our power supply. Park did not resolve the issue and offered nothing for the inconvenience (offered excuses for why the voltage was low - campground was full and they thought our EMS was causing the problem). Pull-thru site was long & level with all utilities within easy reach. Add to all this it was a holiday weekend and the park was full of people having a good time into all hours of the night. Lesson learned about this KOA - we will not be back. We camped at St Augustine Beach KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

When we travel and do not know parks in the area we usually choose KOA because we can normally trust their quality for the price. We had camped at this park before during Christmas of 2014, when the rate was $40.00 per night, and truly enjoyed our stay. Due to a problem with our Motorhome on this trip, we decided to stay there in order to be able to work in the shade. On checking in we were charged $70.01 for our night. When I commented that the rate seemed a bit high, I was assured that they had made many improvements and that all of the prices in the area had gone up. According to them the Motels in the area were charging $150.00 per night.

While my brother and I worked, my wife checked motel prices just to verify what we were told and found that really good chains were charging average of $107.00. The improvements seemed to consist of new outdoor tables at each site. The restrooms had no AC or fans and were so hot that a person needed to take a shower after taking a shower just to get off the sweat. If they upgraded to the point of being worth $30.00 additional per night. I could not find or see it. We camped at St Augustine Beach KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

I do like the park and if you camp in the winter it is very enjoyable (if they lower the price), but they do need to improve the bathroom and bring the value to price more in line.

St. Augustine is a wonderful place to visit. Florida's oldest continuously settled city is well worth the visit.

Easy access with level sites. Low water pressure at site and in showers. Wifi was poor. Laundry was good. Showers were dirty with mold on faucets. Had pool but didn't use because seen ducks swimming in pool. Dog park was good. Convenient to visit local beaches and St Augustine. No problem with our satellite. The nicest thing I can think of to say about this facility is that it could have been worse. The positives, the folks were nice, the little store was clean and reasonably priced. The negatives, the whole place resembled the fairgrounds the day after the fair is over. It was run down and gross. The parking spots, I won't glorify them by calling them campsites, were dirty and tiny, and offered absolutely no privacy of any kind. The back of our site was a fence which was about four feet from the back of a run down strip mall. We had the view of a nice brightly lit billboard overhead. It was so gross it was comical. I'm embarrassed that I got suckered in to paying this much money for such a dump. I had relied on the KOA name, I hadn't done my homework. Clearly the reviews are out there, and I wish I had taken the time to check them out. Take the time to find an alternative to staying here. I'd chance it anywhere else before even considering staying here ever again. We camped at St Augustine Beach KOA in a Motorhome.

We came in Friday night, our spot was fairly level and paved. That was the good part of the visit. The entrance is not clearly marked for staging, more no parking signs then anything. We checked in and were told where the site was, that was about it. While getting setup a staff member drove by, no hello or welcome, not what we are used too at KOA. After setup we noticed the site across from us was empty accept for an old discarded mattress, next to that was a site with a large pile of belongings, a truck packed full of stuff and a utility trailer. We visited the office needing a few items from the store and advised them of the issues, we were told, yea the maintenance crew has gone home, someone must have thrown that over our fence and the guy next to it just sold his camper. The place is about 50% live-in's and right off A1A. Traffic is loud, the view towards A1A is the back of businesses or an old car wash. There are no activities, the club house is scary and a walk around the "lake" (drainage pond) takes you through a forgotten land with old trailers and a look into the neighbors houses at the back side.

I took our dogs to the dog park and noticed the signs were rotted and propped up against the poll that held them. The only modern/new item was a round table with 4 chairs. It looks like that was this years upgrade here.

I believe I have said enough, no we will not be back. We left Saturday morning and found a new place for the weekend. We camped at St Augustine Beach KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We enjoyed our time here. It was quiet and relaxing which was surprising during Daytona 500 week. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The sites are older, but we had no problems getting in or leveling. We enjoyed the view outside our back window of the small lake.

Close to shopping and local tourist spots. We could walk or ride bikes to the beach which was less than 1 mile away.

All utilities worked fine and every request was promptly taken care of. The entry is a little tight, but we didnt have a problem.

Would return again. We camped at St Augustine Beach KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
