Nice enough park very near Old St. Augustine. Level pull thru and back in 50 amp full hookup gravel sites. Nice people and small pond. Shady so satellite iffy, but excellent cable. Wifi is okay. Gated and secure. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

They greet you in your coach when you arrive and take you to your site. Roads are adequate for a big rig, pad size depends on which class of site you want. Our was site 49, plenty long enough for coach and toad. New owners are friendly and obviously wanting to make this a great park. Laundry was a bit expensive, but one of the cleanest and best laid out we've seen on our full time travels. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

The staff contacts us prior to our arrival twice to confirm our stay and arrival time. On arrival check-in was accomplished without leaving our vehicle. We were escorted to our site (6) and assisted in backing our rig.

While we had other plans there was live entertainment both Friday night and New Year's eve. The staff was pleasant and helpful. WiFi is widely available with many AP's and strong signals. There are 2 secure access vehicle gates controlling vehicular access via a provided barcodes pass ticket.

We enjoyed our stay and would camp here again. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

We were part of a small rally and found this park to be an excellent choice for our group. It is under new ownership and lots of positive things are happening. Sites are level and well equipped. A new clubhouse is just about finished to add to the group facilities. There is a new laundry facility that is in addition to the one located in the office area. Staff is friendly and very helpful. We will stay here again. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice park with excellent staff. Easy check-in, staff leads you to your site and assists with pulling in. Cable and wifi worked well at site. Free wifi is for email checking and internet surfing. If you want to stream video they have a paid wifi plan with more bandwidth. New bathrooms and laundry with plenty of machines, are very nice (building near back of park, not the laundry around back from the office). There are no convenient laundromats in the area so definitely use the campground's.

Old Town Trolley has a free shuttle from the campground to the trolley every morning at 9 and 10. Parking is very limited in St Augustine and there's no place to park a dually so the shuttle is invaluable. We would definitely stay again. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice for our stay. $65 is price per day at the weekly rate. Guitarist get together Saturday nights. 15 minutes into St Augustine.

Tip: new gate uses card for entry 24x7. Being new it is stupid in design,

the sensor for the card is on the office building just in front of the line of

rigs checking in. When you get home either wait for 200 feet of rigs in a line or go around the office on the left, park your car, get out and walk back to the sensor, trip the gate, then walk back to your car, get in, drive 100 yards to the gate... then drive through, if the first rig hasn't tripped

it to go down again. Keystone Cops stuff. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

Thank you for taking the time to review our park...I will share your kind words with the team. We have owned the park for a year and we are on our second WIFI system in our effort to offer the best to our guests. Most of our sites are now converted to a combination of road base and gravel but we left a few sites in their natural state as preferred by some campers.

We stayed here over xmas thru NY. We had never stayed here before due to the reviews (under the previous owners). The new owners go out of their way to help their customers, make you feel a part of their family & make your stay here the best it can be. I can't say enough good things about them. They are constantly working to add new patios, improve features like internet access, security & improve the park for their customers. Also, another staff member & his wife (working as Ambassadors here) are the kindest and most generous people we have met in our travels. The laundry is a bit pricey, but there are large banks of washers and dryers , all new, clean and in working order. The security gate is a bit awkward but since the office was already existing their doesn't seem to be a better location for the gate access. There is no pool or playground, but we are not interested in those items. This is a very clean CG run but caring owners. We will stay here again as will visit St Augustine regularly. We have been staying at RV parks for over 10 years and in spite of an unfortunate accident, our stay at Compass was one of our most memorable. The park is woody, shaded and very well kept and has excellent Wi-Fi. But the owners and associates running the park are what make it especially memorable.

We broke the windshield due to a rookie mistake after checking out. This was between Christmas and New Years day. We had to make arrangements to have the windshield replaced but had no place to stay. The owner of the park offered to move his RV to a spot next to a pavilion being built and let us have his spot for as long as we needed. There is no was that we could thank him and his wife enough. We ended up spending about a week longer than expected but we couldn't have been in a better place. The staff makes this park the great place that it is. It is our go to spot for our annual St. Augustine trip. And I will remember to retract the awning next time. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

Location and times of visit matter here. We have stayed here 3 separate times. Once, it was still Indian River, in March 2015. This year we stayed first week in Nov and then 4 nights over the Thanksgiving holiday. The last stay was different from the previous two, largely because the park was totally full for the holiday season and it was very crowded and a bit noisy. The front sites numbered in the 30's are exposed to a lot of road traffic on SR 207, especially in high season. These sites are also extremely close together (our neighbor hit his head on our slide out, which was not over the site line, when he went to adjust his water spigot).

After one night at this 30-amp site, which was $47, I asked the office staff to please let me know if another site near the back of the park became open. They were gracious and understanding, and as it turned out, someone left early and we got to move to the back of the park, site 91, a 50-amp level site with patio (cost $73 -$75). This move cut out a lot of the noise and helped with the crowded feel of the sites. I still wouldn't call the site layout spacious. On our previous two visits, we were in the back of the park near the hiking trail entrance, and the park was not full to the brim, so it was quiet and pleasant. But it's not reasonable to expect empty sites around you over Thanksgiving. I certainly understand maximizing profits by putting sites close together and filling them, and clearly there is a demand in St. Augustine for RV spaces. I wanted to give this a 10 because of the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Service to customers is clearly important here, and they are making many improvements. But the crowding and noise were detracting. The price was pretty steep too. A row of noise-blocking trees or a wall between the park and SR 207 would be great. I would still stay here, I just think in the future, I'd rather visit them more off season and reserve a site farther back. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Thank you for taking the time to rate and write this fair and honest review about your experience. We were full capacity over the holiday and I know some people are more sensitive to commotion than others, so I am pleased we were able to relocate you to a spot on the back of our park. Just to clarify, we do keep a couple 30 amp sites in the front of my park for smaller rigs but most of the sites in the 30s are 75-80 feet long and quite wide. As new owners of the park, we were presented with existing sites and pedestals and have focused on improving these sites by adding road base, patios, and updating the common buildings of the property. Please know that we appreciate your suggestions and I will discuss your ideas with my team.

We stayed at this park for one week in a Motorhome. The folks running the park are nice and are generally very helpful. The price per day is a graduated price like all the hotels and motels use. The key would be to make reservations in advance as explained by manager. Little pricey for gravel sites, but cement porches are being added. WIFi good, cable TV signal weak as spread out over large area. Security is an issue, two vehicles were entered and items stolen. We won't go back until we hear that additional security has been added. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

Thank you for your review. We have owned the park exactly one year and have made many upgrades including a security gate system. We are presently installing a stronger WIFI system that features video cameras thru out the park. Even though we have not had any previous security breaches, we do take seriously the missing items taken from our guest's automobiles and we have met with local authorities to assist in, and learn from this incident. From day one, security and the safety and comfort of our guests have been our priority, as evidenced by our gate system installed 45 days ago and the video cameras system that was contracted last month -well before this incident. We will continue to monitor and enhance all aspects of our park including security to ensure our guests have a safe comfortable place to stay.

We stayed 1 night Passport Am and 2 with Good Sam discount so $42 night average. CG about 3 miles off I95. Gravel sites and roads, we had a heavy rain the morning we left but the gravel drained the water away very well. When escorted to assigned site it was in a treed area so our rooftop dish would not have worked. The host returned to the office for a new site in the open and gave us a slightly more expensive site at no additional cost, nice of them to do. The site was a long pull through with a new cement patio. It was obvious that the new owners are making improvements to the CG, some sites had a new cement patio and some green plants added plus other work going on. 50a, water and sewer all worked fine. Their free WiFi worked well and we also had several OTA TV channels. We were disappointed that at the price of this CG they had no pool, and there wasn't much grass either. The CGs in this area have all increased their prices this year from last year. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here one night exactly one week post hurricane. All other parks were still closed. Don't know if that's why they were so expensive or if they're really that proud of their park. Each child was an additional fee, WiFi had an extra fee, laundry was the most expensive I've seen. Everything had an additional charge. Not worth all the extra expense! I am concerned - the claims of the rate charged for a one night stay at this park and "each child was an additional fee" is at best misleading and unfair. Our rates remained the same pre and post hurricane and I am most bothered by the suggestion that we raised our rates after Hurricaine Matthew - we did not! Our full hookup site includes 2 adults, 2 children, 2 pets, the RV and a car, basic WIFI and cable. Any "extras" are charged beyond these allowances - as is common in any RV park or Hotel establishment.
