New owners are improving the park everyday! They provided free WiFi, free cable TV, pull-thru sites (some with brand new concrete pads almost the length of your RV...ours is 40ft) The setting is very quiet with lots of shade trees, a pond, a fenced in dog park, very clean laundry facility and the staff are all very friendly and informative. They also had a very nice New Year Party around a campfire and a two man band played. They are located just a few minutes off of I-95, but close to St Augustine. We loved our week stay and met lots of great folks from all over the U.S. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

The rate we paid was a weekly rate $270 per week inc taxes, equals $38 P/N for W & S and 50 A elect. Nov, 14th,2015 they do offer discounts for AAA, Goodsam and FMCA, they do not offer any discounts for the weekly rates. This is not a vacation destination park, ( no pools, hot tubs, tennis courts or playgrounds) They have WI Fi however it is extremely slow at times, but a nice place to stay while visiting Saint Augustine, 6 miles down the road from the campground. the park is not overrun with full timers living here. We are happy here at this campground, we were pleasantly greeted upon arriving, I requested to have a site with satellite service and was given one. perhaps 1/4 of the sites will be able to receive it so you may want to call ahead as far as you can The campground is kind of old and a bit run down but quiet; they have two sections. if "quiet" is important you may want to request a site in the rear of the campground. away from rt 207. Our site and many others are kind of in a field with a little gravel and grass sites with rag grass. It has not been raining here for a week so everything is fine, I can imagine that if it rains heavy it may get wet and sloppy at the sites. most sites if not all will fit large motorhome, ours is 43 feet and is not a problem. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is tons to do in this area and in Saint Augustine.

We were going to spend a day in the St. Augustine area, and we couldn't get 2 nights at Anastasia State Park nearby so we stayed here. Easy enough to get to off I-75. Front desk guy a little laid back and not overly friendly. Park could use a little TLC. Felt old and not as cared for as one would hope. Dirt roads only inside park, so a little messy when walking our dog, and hooking up sewer/water/etc. Lots of shade trees. Not many RVers while we were there so very quiet and uncrowded. A few permanent residents but not a problem as far as we were concerned. Only the laundry in the main office building was screened in, and it did not have A/C. Glanced inside the other restrooms and none had A/C but did appear to be clean. We would return here but for a brief stay only. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

We spent 2 nights in a motorhome. Our site was level and the park had quite a few trees providing nice shade from the hot sun. We used the laundry and it worked well. Wifi service was acceptable. The park is close to St. Augustine which allowed us to bike to town along sidewalks beside the highway to town. About 4.5 miles by bike.

We would recommend this park. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

This is a rustic place but a good quiet retreat from the busy pace of St Augustine itself. Gravel and dirt roads and grass site. Spacious site and level. WiFi slow to not workable. No cable and reception was difficult with our DISH because of the tall pines. There is pick up transport from the RV park to downtown St Augustine trolley services so no need to drive downtown. Appeared to be a camping spot for weekenders and for Floridians. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

St Augustine itself has enough touristy attractions to keep one busy for days. There is a flea market near to the RV park on weekends. The nearby Dollar Store does not carry local newspapers so one must drive to the gas stations down the road.

This was a fine campground. The sites were level but could get muddy after a rain. There was a picnic table at each site, the hook-ups were good, and the Wi-Fi was spotty, as was the TV reception (NBC and PBS were hard to get). The campgrounds older and could use some work but the bathrooms were clean. The sites were ample with space between them. The best thing about this park is that it is close to everything in St Augustine, the sights and the shopping. We would return. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed this small, quiet campground. The sites are flat, dirt and grass, with adequate space between them. Most sites seem to have picnic tables. Many of the sites are treed. The grounds seem to be well maintained. There is no dog park, but there is a roadway through the woods that provided a pleasant walk. Cable is not provided and there are only a handful of local stations. WiFi is free and cell service with ATT was good. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

St Augustine is just up the road.

Reading some of the reviews left us a little skeptical before staying here. Well all I can say is try it yourself and then make your opinion. Great check in, staff were very courteous. We had a pull through site, sites are very spacious, the grounds are extremely clean, restrooms and showers are so clean you could eat your food off the floor. We were very impressed. And we will stay here again. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Only stayed two nights to see St. Augustine. Great price for being so close to the city. Nice place to relax after a full day of walking old town St. Augustine. It's an older campground but was good enough for the purpose: sight-seeing. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

This is a good RV park for the area. The people running the park keep it clean and neat but are unfriendly. It is mostly sand so when it rains it can be messy. Sites are large and can accommodate big RV’s. There is no cable TV and reception over the air is spotty at best. WiFi worked well and all utilities functioned as they should. We would stay here again. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

This was a stopover while heading to Miami, Fl. I was happy with the connections all were within reach and worked fine. Did not use bathrooms, laundry, or Wi-Fi. I really never ask for cable or Wi-Fi, since we travel with Verizon and Direct-TV. Space was kind of close at our site and a little muddy, but not bad. Campground is located directly behind the Dollar General Store, but there is a big White/Green sign out front. Turn in the driveway right before the Dollar General store. There are areas to walk pets, but no dog run. There were full timers and plenty of big Class A rigs that were passing through as we were. The site we had was a back-in no room for our 40' RV plus tow. The office was generous to let us store our car hauler on the grassy area in the front area of the campground. We would camp here again if in the area. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

Good prices for the area, only a few miles from town. Dollar General next door. Some sites were muddy due to recent rains. Older campground and kept up good. Some sites were close together. We would stay here again. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

Great park to visit St Augustine, only 5 miles to downtown and just off I-95. Clean level site but the office people could be more friendlier. The WiFi was not very good; very low on strength. It is a good park for visiting St Augustine and would stay here again We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

Only available short notice camping spot in St Augustine area. Stayed for a week on a pull thru site that was too short for coach and trailer. Site was almost all dirt/sand covered. Site was not well leveled. When it rained, everything outside got sand splashed. Interior roads all dirt with minimal gravel and maintenance. I would stay here again only as a last resort. Tiny camper trailer next door contained 2 dogs whose owner was here only sporadically. Let dogs out for potty breaks only once per day. Did not always clean up after dogs. I reported same to management who did not seem concerned enough to confront the owner or do anything about it. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.
