Nice RV park that is getting nicer all the time. Owners are putting a lot of money into making this be great. We had level, gravel pull-thru site with full hook-up 50 amp, cable, wifi, a cement patio with picnic table. Pull-thru and back-in sites are large. Some sites have fire pits. Some sites are near road, but most are away from road and quiet. Trees are well trimmed. There's a security gate.

Check-in is done ahead of time so upon arrival it is very slick...you don't even need to get out of your rig. Someone leads you to your site, gives you your paperwork and the entrance card key. There are little fences hiding neighbor's sewer and hook-ups and plants and bark around each site. Pool should be ready for use soon. Rec room is nice & they have an outside gathering area with tables, chairs, a large fireplace and plenty of heaters scattered throughout. New section (under construction) is really great: very level brick sites with patios. Internal roads are large. Lots of activities. Service is excellent: they are really trying to go above and beyond! Definitely will stay here again. Be sure to follow their directions to the entrance: GPS will not guide correctly. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There is much to do in St. Augustine. A tour bus will come to the RV park and take you to the tour trolley. Tickets can be purchased at RV park. We didn't need to drive for about 4 days! Be sure to see Flagler College (which once was Hotel Ponce De Leon); incredible!

This is a really nice campground in St. Augustine. Last year on our way south, we stayed at another campground in the area, but it wasn't nearly as nice, nor as well located. Although we were in the "Grove" section, the older area of the park, it was perfectly adequate for our needs (staying less than 5 nights). We arrived after dark and an escort takes you to your site, which is a great service. This was past office closing hours, too. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

This is a very basic cg. They are constructing a nice section in the back with paved sights, etc but those are not ready when we were there. There is a shuttle that runs from the office to Old Town St. Augustine's tour area. Very convenient. The park is a little noisy due to a busy road outside. Nothing the park can do about it and the location is great. I would like to see the sites have much more landscaping and grass. Just gravel and sand. The front 2 sections are passable but not really worth the price at this time. Maybe the new construction will see renovation to the old areas. The new owner gets it. This park is evolving in a good way. The check in service was friendly and thorough yet quick. The owner personally escorted us to our site and encouraged us to let him know if there is anything we need. The bathrooms and laundry are immaculate and up to date. Something that I have not seen in other RV parks, but is a great idea, is a separate washer and dryer for washing pet linens. They also have a dog washing station. They are in the process of adding a pool and an exercise room. The night we were there they had a band playing and folks were having a great time dancing. Our site had ample space for our 45ft motor home and tow vehicle. We appreciated the concrete patio at our site which was in perfect condition and clean. They are in the process of expanding the park and the new sites will be nice once they get the landscaping in place. The best part is that the park is a $12 uber ride into the center of town. We will definitely be back to this rv Park. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

RV Park starts with a great welcome reception at check-in. Then they escort you to your site, a full hookup with cable and Wi-fi, a gravel drive & concrete patio with a picnic table. Cable did not have very good reception but we did get good over the air reception. They also have a nice clubhouse and pool, although the pool was under renovation when we were there. It was quiet at night. Lots of trees so satellite is a problem. Location is close to what St Augustine has to offer. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

Take the Hop-on, Hop-off bus tour. Complete the tour first, then the second time around choose a get off spot. Don't buy the two day pass. On the next day we drove around to the other sites of St Augustine.

I've always cautioned people who use RV Park Reviews to consider the experience level of the reviewer which is always displayed. The most recent review is an example of this. Yes there were construction vehicles but they exhibited about the same decibel level of a golf cart. It is a non-issue. Rest of the reviews (including the balance of the one referenced) are all positive and the price is very good for St.Augustine. I reserve 10 ratings for some of the sites we've stayed at in in Key West and California but we're talking $125 to $150 per night fees. Accordingly this is a very strong 9. In fairness, most of the St. Augustine campgrounds are good to excellent so it somewhat boils down to a matter of taste and price. In terms of value and the attitude of the personnel I think Compass is at the high end of the range and we'll be back We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Quite time 10:00pm to 8:00am?? They don't abide by their own rules! Several large gravel trucks and the grader started at 7:00am. Right by our camp site #99. The trucks past by the back of the motor home then out past the passenger side. Adding to the misery of the noise, dust everywhere. Lots of other sites were available, we were never warned. We left by 8:00am. Upon entry the staff was the friendliest we ever encountered, well over shadowed by the morning disaster. Our apologies about your disrupted morning. You should have been advised about the gravel deliveries to our new Oasis section of our park and given the option to move sites. We do abide by our rules as quiet time is 10pm to 7am - but still no excuse. We fell short and will definitely block #99 and other pond sites when gravel deliveries are expected. We are sorry...we fell short in providing you with a positive experience at our campground. We will try to do better.

Stayed with PA discount. This is one of the best parks in Florida! Easy access to I-95 and all of the sights in St. Augustine. The staff is friendly and accommodating and the park itself is immaculate. We enjoyed the dog park as well as hiking the property. Site was full hook-up with 50 Amp service, very clean and level. Clubhouse is beautiful and well appointed. Compass RV Park is truly a destination park. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

Unfortunately we were put in a space that apparently was designated a buddy site. We were parked door to door with the trailer next to us who had taken over the space between us. Bicycles, lawn chairs, clothes lines, picnic table and plastic containers were everywhere. Lucky for us we were away most of the time but had we wanted to sit outside there was no space. Had the feel of eletist. If you paid $72.00 you are put in the more secluded area with concrete pads and better amenities. It is a good location relatively close to the beach and old town St. Augustine. Definitely worth visiting. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

This was our first time staying at Compass RV. We chose a "buddy site" with friends. Our site has an above ground firepit provided by the park. What a very clean place. I liked that Compass offers rentals if you have a large group you want to bring. They offer alot such as smores, camp fires, music at the clubhouse, breakfast for $3, ice cream sundaes $0.50 a scoop. First impression is everything we will be back!!! It is close to downtown as well. Great place! We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the grounds were neat and clean as were their restroom facilities. The pick-up and drop-off at the campground by Old Town Trolley Tours was an unexpected plus. Now for some of the things we didn't like. We requested a spot near the restrooms, but the ladies' restroom was closed for remodeling...so we were close, but couldn't use it. Drove over to the other restroom in the laundry building, it was closed for cleaning, which it was a lot. We went to the office to ask about the camp store, to pick up a few necessities like milk, O.J., eggs, snacks. We were told that they didn't have one but there was a Publix a few miles away. The sites were tiny and offered no privacy whatsoever. We couldn't sit outside anyway because the mosquitoes were horrible. Most private campgrounds that I've stayed at use foggers to reduce the bug population. In their defense, they are new owners and they appear to be trying to correct many of the negatives that were present under the previous owners. IMHO, I think that widening the sites and planting some fauna between sites would go a long way. Also purchase a mosquito fogger and mount it on the back of one of their golf carts. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Tent Trailer.

Thank you for staying at our park and for writing a review. As you stated, we are fairly new owners and doing lots of upgrades- hence the bathroom remodeling. We do pride ourselves on clean bathrooms and try to schedule closures accordingly - sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused you. We chose to carry RV and camping products in our store since there is a Dollar General on the front of our park which carries milk, O.J., eggs and snacks (and much more). I apologize that the person in our office did not inform you that Dollar General carried the items you were looking for. Finally, we had a rainy May and June but have worked closely with St Johns County Mosquito Control to manage the mosquitoes and we are winning the battle...lol. Otherwise, I hope you enjoyed the fabulous city of St. Augustine. Good luck to you and your family!

The area in the park where they put us was worse than Coney Island. It was very tight, very close and cramped. Thank you for taking the time to review our park. We do honor Good Sam, AAA, and Military discounts everyday year round. We honor Passport discounts during August and September. We have a handful sites in the original section of our park that are closer and more suited for smaller rigs. Most of our park accommodates larger and even big rigs up to 100ft. We certainly try to accommodate each guest based on their preferences. Best of luck to you and your family.
