The campground is just that and not worth the rate of $60.00 per night. The rate I received was Passport America and even at that I considered it high. WIFI was iffy, roads were dirt, parked on shells/gravel. Lost water numerous times.
On the fourth day of our five day stay, the office manager called me and asked me to please remove the Mississippi Flag I had displayed at my site. We fly the US Flag and our State Flag on our site. She stated she felt uncomfortable when she escorted other campers past our site and she indicated no one had complained.
We will not stay at this campground in the future. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

We are sorry that you had a poor experience at our park, it is unusual and very bothersome to us. The broken water pipe was unfortunate and our whole team worked as quickly as possible to get it back on - our guests were without water for less than 3 hours. We encourage anyone who has difficulty with the WIFI to contact the office or the hot line number printed on the back of the park brochure provided to everyone at check in. I do want to apologize for my ignorance in not recognizing the current Mississippi State Flag, had I known I would not have asked you to take it down. Members of my team agree with you that I disrespected your state flag and southern heritage in general. This was not my intention and I will certainly school myself in state flags.

Easy to find right off SR 207 heading to St. Augustine City. On the left right behind a Dollar General store at a traffic light for easy turning in and getting out again. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The owner showed us to our site, pointed out the hookups, and was very helpful. We had no shade (by request for satellite usage), but the pull thru site was level gravel. All utilities worked fine. There is a nice laundry with even a designated washer for pet beds and blankets. Very nice as I have never seen that before. Large fenced pet run so your large furry family member can run off some of that steam from traveling. Several sites had cement patios, plantings, and one looked like it had a cement slab. Lots of changes and improvements seem to be coming. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

St. Augustine has lots of offer everyone. If you enjoy touring and like using a Segway then call Segs by the Sea for a fun tour. You will love the tour guide(s). Also explore lots of unique restaurants: Ice Plant and Cafe Alcazar [eating in the deep end of a swimming pool] to name a couple of them. Publix isn't far. General Dollar is around the corner.

We enjoyed our first time stay at this park. It is currently being updated so was a little "dusty". Great location for travel to St. Augustine. Staff couldn't be nicer. The pet park is a plus.We will definitely come back when it is a little cooler! We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

Our positive experience matches those of other reviewers. This park is being transformed into a wonderful park. The new owners and their management team are phenomenal, and have infused the park with energy and enthusiasm. They are welcoming and helpful. The new laundry room is great. Many sites have new cement patios and shrub hedges. The roads are wide and covered with new gravel. When we were there, they were installing 4 trailers that you can rent for a stay in St. Augustine. Everything is clean, clean, clean. And this is just the beginning, they have great plans for more. All of this has been done in only 5 months! If you happen to be there on a Friday, there is a camp fire, and Saturdays live music (which was really quite good) on a stage near the camp fire. Bring your own chair, kick back and enjoy. We requested and received a shaded site under an old oak tree draped in Spanish Moss. If you like sunny sites away from trees, they have those as well. This park is a diamond being polished, and worth a visit. Added bonus - it is only 15 minutes from historic downtown St. Augustine! We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

De Leon Pizza is good and about 5 minutes away. It is next to a movie theater. There is a Publix grocery 10 minutes away. Historic St. Augustine is 15 minutes away with lots of activities, history, tours, boat tours, restaurants, etc. There is a visitors parking garage downtown that was $12 for the day. St. Augustine beaches are nearby and allow dogs on leashes (unlike most Florida beaches). You can drive on some of the beaches, there is also off beach parking.

Nice park, new owners working hard to upgrade things. Pad was hard gravel and pretty level. New concert patio area. WiFi work fine. The staff was very helpful in booking tours for the area and or places to see and eat. Puppy play area was nice. Park was clean and little dusty from the gravel roads but plenty of room to make those wide turns. Water/power were good. Nice outdoor music on fire on Sat. Will return! Very clean, with new laundry facilities, new dog park, family & pet friendly. Very easy to find. There is also a shuttle from one of the trolleys to attrations in St. Augustine right from the park. Live music around campfire on the weekend while we were there. Catch and release fishing available in the lake. Cute Vintage RV's available to rent at very reasonable rates. Can't wait to go back. Tips for other Campers:

There is a Dollar General within easy walking distance open 8am-10pm everyday. Close to all the attractions in St. Augustine. Lots of food choices. We made sure we were back at the campground for the live music while we were there. Treated to some great music by Wayne and the Band called "Moondance" All we can say is awesome time, awesome park, awesome staff!

The park continues to excel and improve. This is our 3rd stay and we have not been disappointed. Our site was ready, clean, level, and comfortable.

They have now added some basic supplies in the office, creating a small store; prices were reasonable. The conditions in the showers/restrooms continue to be maintained. They are clean, air conditioned, and water pressure is good too. We stayed the weekend over Memorial Day and they had live music at the stage both Saturday and Sunday night.

We were told that improvements coming are a pool, activities center and planned activities during the winter months. They have also added 4 Vintage brand travel trailers that are used as rentals for anyone that wants to try the camper experience. These are brand new and they have maid service, not too shabby. The rates may be higher then other parks but we enjoy the benefits and quality that they provide. We have already booked for Labor day weekend. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Music Saturday nights. A free shuttle to the trolley service in St. Augustine is the way to go. I believe tickets were $25.00 per person for all day, they let you get on and off the trolley in the historic district all day and then transport you back to the campground when you're done. Parking in town can be a real pain and also costs a lot. This is an easy way to enjoy the day.

There is also a Dollar General store right at the entrance of the park for anything you may need.

Reserved here for two weeks (02/16) under the previous ownership. They only left a handwritten note for the new owners that I was going to be camping there. No problem at all for the new owners. Staff was excellent and we really enjoyed our stay. We are booked here again for a split week in February 2017. While we were there on our first trip we were able to watch many of the improvements being done. We are looking forward to our return trip and eager to see the further improvements. This campground is very convenient to I-95 and is very accommodating to short stay travelers heading up and down the coast. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

If you are planning an overnight stop, definitely change your stay to two or three days and take advantage of all that St. Augustine has to offer. If you don't feel like driving into town, the trolley stops at the office and will get you there and back.

Limited WiFi and then you had to pay. Nice clean laundry but expensive at $2.25 to wash. $2.25 to dry. Very close and convenient to downtown St Augustine. Some road noise since it is next to a main road but not enough to bother me. Has a nice Dollar General Store at the entrance off the highway. Has an easy access propane fill station. I would definitely stay there again.

This is a park that is fairly large and has nice pull through sites with a concrete pad, grassy area and picnic table. The units are close but not unreasonable and they are staggered so one does not look directly into the next unit. Could be problems in heavy rain for some sites. The location is not far from Saint Augustine and the price is reasonable for this area. The WiFi worked okay for a couple days then wouldn't let me log in, it's one of those free daily login sites with limited usage. Very close to town with shuttle pickup to the downtown trolleys. We are 60 feet long with motor home and car hauler trailer and fit well in the pull thru. Would definitely stay again. Perfectly located, you can bike to historic St Augustin in 4 miles through bike paths.
The campground is surrounded by luscious tropical foliage, it is secluded, quiet and nicely kept.
The owners are super nice which is a plus.
Among some of the amenities you will find a dog park, a 1 mile hiking trail, a gorgeous pond, and a camp stage with performances on Saturday.
Just perfect for us! We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

It's an updated RV park located behind a Dollar General store. The front of the park is near the highway. We were in a premium spot in the back, on slightly unlevel gravel and a cement patio. Our neighbors were close to us on the one side, where we hooked up. They offered a dog park and a natural walking area in the woods. On weekends they had a fire pit and musical entertainment, which was very enjoyable. There were tents to class A's staying here. We had a nice week while visiting St. Augustine. Roads were not tight. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

The new owners have done a lot of improvements since their ownership and constantly working on improvements. We checked this park out (formerly Indian Forest Campground) and there is no way we would have stayed there. The time we checked it out there may have been three campers there.

There seemed to be a lot of upper scale motor coaches, I assume because of the park having so many pull-through spacious sites. The park stayed pretty full while we were there for five days. You have an escort to show you to your site and help with parking.

I noticed very few children compared to most parks and that was great to me.

We go to St. Augustine around four to five times a year and we will stay at the Compass RV Park again. Access to everything is just minutes away and less traffic on 207 than on 206/16 and back to I-95 just minutes away. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Travel Trailer.
