We truly enjoyed our stay at North Beach Camp Resort. It was close enough to St. Augustine to drive in and enjoy that lovely city. Yet it's out of the traffic and hustle and bustle. We loved walking across the highway (super simple) to the beach which was dog friendly. We also enjoyed the back of the park that had it's own little beach for sunset watching, fishing, etc. Then, there is a gate to a local restaurant that we used several times to sit on their back patio and enjoy drinks, deserts, etc. Also a very nice restaurant across the street as well. What a fun spot! Very laid back and relaxing. We camped at North Beach Camp Resort in a Travel Trailer.

My husband and I had a lovely anniversary stay here after Hurricane Irma preempted our plans last year. There is an air-conditioned onsite laundry facility, and when a washing machine failed to start, the matter was attended to promptly. The most delightful discovery was the bath houses are air-conditioned as well! We camped at North Beach Camp Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Try O'Steen's and O.C. White's for seafood and Pizzalley's downtown for Italian. O.C. White's has free parking for patrons, a rare find in St. Augustine. We always enjoy a cruise or sail through the Matanzas Bay in either the Victory III or the Schooner Freedom. The beach is across A1A from the campground, a very short walk or bicycle ride and the river on the opposite end of the campground is a good place to talk to other campers, take pictures, go fishing.

Overall Rating:

This is a great area, especially if you fish. The campground has a fishing pier right on the inter-coastal! It was a 4 minute walk to the Atlantic and beach and a 4 minute walk to the inter-coastal, we were in the middle at site 119. We did not have a car with us, so being able to walk to the beach was a plus. There were also 2 restaurants as well, one on the intercoastal side (Aunt Kates, good seafood) and one on the Atlantic side (The Reef), more upscale, really great. We only rated a 9 because everything was sand, a lot of tracking in to the RV. Sites were close, but very private due to the thick foliage. We camped at North Beach Camp Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Awesome stay. We didn't want to leave. Had a great site in the front section--just big enough for our 23-foot trailer. However, they have plenty of larger spaces, as well. We parked our car right across the front of the site for even more privacy. Even though the sites are close to each other, you won't notice--there's much foliage in between them, so it feels very private. Pool is great--deck seems to be recently refinished (up against pictures). Access to the beach right across the road from the park entrance. Recycling available up front along with trash. Small laundry in the basement was perfectly timed (30 minutes wash, 1 hour dry). Only reason this doesn't get a 10 is because there is absolutely no wifi at the sites even with a wifi booster on our new camper. You can get it if you want to sit in the office lounge area. We camped at North Beach Camp Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We enjoyed this park quite a lot. It felt very private and quiet. We were in 17 at the front of the property. We backed a side road, but it wasn't a busy road and we hardly noticed any vehicles. The park will fill your propane tanks, which came in very handy. Great location across from the beach and just a short drive into St. Augustine, which we really enjoyed. Gas station and a Publix just down the road. Great playground, shuffleboard and basketball court. All very nice and well maintained. We love the trees here. We drove through the park and noticed most of the rvs were well kept. There were several long term residences that looked a bit run down. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return in the future. We camped at North Beach Camp Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Sites are very close together. Rules state NO UTILITY ATVS but our neighbors pulled in on Friday afternoon with adult and childrens atvs. They were quiet so didn't bother us but management didn't seem to care. We camped at North Beach Camp Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We had a great view of the river, there are 3 prime spots by the river, the sites were sand and shells. My main complaint was the WiFI did not work, had strong signal just didn't work, I complained to the front desk and even offered to look at there WiFI setup as I am an I.T professional, They blew me off. Also i asked for a late check out and they wanted to charge me $45.00 for an extra 2 hours. We camped at North Beach Camp Resort in a Motorhome.

CG is on a narrow penninsula with river on one side and ocean on the other. Lush vegetation and large spacious sites. Very clean grounds and pool. Area has been severely impacted by Hurricane Irma. Tree damage in park, washed out beaches, condemded homes...debris stacked along hey. Area will never be the same. Still a good location to visit the beach, St Augustine, etc. Good biking along hwy (dedicated bike lane). We camped at North Beach Camp Resort in a Motorhome.

Pull in at South entrance from St Augustine and pull into parking lane for check in. There is NO turn lane off the state hwy...entrance is right after the turn lane. Busy road...excercise caution.

This is one of our favorite places to stay! Beautiful setting with large site shaded by oak trees and lots of privacy in between. It is well maintained and clean. There is a beach on the river, plus a beach across the highway for the campers. Easy walk to restaurants, but the campground is very quiet. It is our go to place in North Florida! We have camped there twice, and will return many times in the future. Good wifi near the office and laundry, very nice pool area, and a small store in the office. You will love it! Actually, we left shortly after arrival. We were greeted with rude staff and when we drove to our assigned spot, it was all sand/dirt and so uneven we couldn't level up our motor home. When I called to question the possibility of a change...again I received a rude "absolutely not" response so we got our refund and left. This campground is more for tents than motor homes. We camped at North Beach Camp Resort in a Motorhome.

Location , location, location. Beautifully located park between the intercoastal and the Atlantic Ocean. Most sites are fairly private with thick native vegetation. Lots of sand which contributes to the beachy vibe, but be sure to use outside mats and have a broom because the sand will follow you inside. Sadly, maintenance has been deteriorating over the past few years. Every site is raked and cleaned between uses, but in other areas, improvements are desperately needed. A simple coat of paint in the restrooms would really make a difference, as would decent shower heads instead of the cheap ones they currently have. One restroom was refurbished within the last few years, bur was cheaply done and fiberglass shower floors have no support and are already looking pathetic. Laundry facilities are woefully inadequate and it's rare all machines are in working condition. Even when reported, it takes forever for repairs to be made. At $2 a load, with the amount of use, all the machines could have been replaced several times over. Wifi is just about useless even when you're close to the modems. Cable is poor quality. There is a decent camp store. Large book swap. Staff is pleasant and helpful. 3 good restaurants within walking distance. Fishing in either the ocean across the street or the river behind the campground. I really love this park and definitely will return, but be aware that it's an older park and it shows. We camped at North Beach Camp Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
