41 Parks near St. Petersburg, Florida
Apr 2014 - $36.00
Rate shown is Good Sam rate for peak season. Their summer rate is slightly less. This is an older park that civilization has now surrounded. A six lane highway (Gandy Blvd) is on the park's north perimeter. I would recommend avoiding sites 555 thru 572 that back up to the highway unless you enjoy traffic noise at all hours. A large section of the park is devoted to well-kept park model homes. Most of the RV sites are 90 degree back-ins and a little tight for large towables. There are a few pull-thrus that can accommodate larger rigs. Staff is friendly. Park is convenient to most parts of the Tampa Bay area. No cable in the section we stay in and trees can interfere with satellite reception. However, OTA reception is excellent. We have stayed here several times and will again in the future. - halfdimes
Jun 2013 - $27.00
We were looking for a park to set up in while visiting family in St Pete. Everyone we encountered was great from the front desk to the guy who took us to our spot and helped us back in and explained all the hook ups just in case I wasn't sure :) What we didn't like was that most of this park is permanent mobile homes, they were well maintained but our spot was in between two mobile homes. Now this wasn't such a problem since we were only using our rig to sleep in, but if we were looking for a good camping spot to hang out in this really didn't give us the right feel. Didn't get a chance to use the pool or anything, but all looked well maintained. - danewguy
Feb 2013 - $26.00
We originally planned to stay one week but liked the park and area so well we extended to two. The office staff is very helpful but hours are a little problematic. The office is open M-F from 9-4 (closed 12-1 for lunch). Closed on weekends. We had a reservation but arrived on a Sat. Staff left info for us and there is a phone to call the on duty person who came and helped us get into our space. He was great. Roads are narrow and I haven't seen any pull thru spaces but the back ins (once you get parked) have plenty of room. There are big shade trees all around which is good/bad. Nice to sit outside but they drop stuff all over the coach. Not all spaces have the trees. Love the outdoor laundry. There are plenty of machines and they are reasonably priced. Went in and looked at restrooms (which are clean) but use our own facilities. There are a lot of folks here long term but they are friendly and there are lots of fun activities going on. The only down side is the shooting range that is next door. Weekends and Wednesdays I felt like I was in a war zone but then I am not a gun aficionado. If we come back to St. Pete we will definitely stay here. - TwoE's
Oct 2016 - $56.00
We stay at this park while visiting family and friends in the area. As others have noted you drive thru an industrial area to get to the park but once you enter it is a lot different. Large oak trees shade many of the campsites and others are along the water. As with many KOA's the sites are close together with little to no ground cover between. Although some aspects of the campground are showing their age the park is kept clean and we did not experience any problems with utilities. The pool and hot tub area is very nice and the restroom/showers at the pool have just been renovated and are among the nicest we have encountered. As campgrounds are limited in this area the location of this one makes it an ideal choice for access to the beaches and other activities the area has to offer. Staff friendly and helpful. Check in was quick and easy. We will camp here again. - 21fbrs
Jul 2016 - $54.00
They maintain a night security person at the only entrance into the park. They have a large variety of activities for all ages. There is a playground, pool (which is very hot in July), put-put course, 2 floating docks, 2 small laundry areas, (a 3rd facility is being remodeled). The park is beautiful, the staff are very friendly. The manager is a mean, angry woman who can make you wish you had stayed elsewhere. We will NOT be back! - LBell690
Jul 2016 - $58.00
We stayed here a week and loved it all. The view of the water was lovely. The pool was huge. I called on short notice to make reservations and then had to call back to change the dates. The front office staff was super friendly, calm and accommodating. I truly appreciated their patience which made the whole check in experience very pleasant. I have read so many poor reviews of this campground and don't understand them at all. We have a 2013 Monaco Knight and we had no troubles with space, entering and exiting, and unpleasant events. The space was level and we had several trees for shade. We thought the campground was very neat and they were doing lots of updates. All staff were very friendly and helpful. We have a large dog and had no issues with other animals. The dog parks are efficient. Everything is so close by and Disney was about 1 1/2 hours away. I would stay here again and again...just not in July! Hot, hot, hot! My son stayed in a cabin and I am doing a separate review on his experience. Suffice to say, he is staying here again. Loved our time and it helped to make this one wonderful, fun family vacation. - Let'sGo!
Feb 2017 - $27.00
Nice , quiet RV park. Sites weren't too bad compared to several that we saw. Staff was friendly and very visible throughout our stay. Pool was clean and warm. Hot tub was also on property but we didn't use it. Wi-Fi was available in hot spots up near the laundry and rec room. - Bompa1954
Jan 2012 - $40.00
Very nice park. Owners extremely accommodating. We were able to get a spot at the height of their busy season. W/E/S easy to get to and worked beautifully. We were right across from pool and hot tub/spa. Our site was very long, but extremely narrow. Could not open our window awning on our LR slide without hitting neighbor. Could only open full awning if site next to us was empty. Less than 5 feet of walking space between sites. Nice laundry facilities, heated pool, spa, bocce courts, deck shuffleboard and paved roads for bike riding. Very convenient to shopping, attractions, beaches, restaurants. Except for proximity of sites, it's a nice park. Would stay again if just for a few nights. - usamacdonald2
Feb 2010 - $40.00
The most friendly park we have been to. No matter where the people are from, they all say: "Hi how is it going?" When we got here on an unusual cold Florida day, the manager parked our travel trailer for us. One we got settled in, we found so many park activities that we didn't even have time to do them all. There are even monthly dances and dinners. There were so many couples who come here year after year I am surprised the place is not fully booked. I am so happy that we chose this place for our winter stay and we plan on being another couple who makes this our yearly winter place. I cannot wait for next winter! - jessesgirl333
Aug 2016 - $19.00
Campground was almost empty. It was clean, employees were pleasant. - Travelin' partners
Jan 2015 - $24.00
The rate reflects a monthly rate plus electric at a rate of .1188 per kwh for electricity. This is a very nice park. The sites are very tight to get into. It took us several maneuvers back and forth to fit our 36' trailer into the spot. The streets are very narrow. Everyone is very friendly and many are in the park for the winter or live there in park models. There are many activities planned during the month. - krisbw
Jan 2015 - $22.00
The park has outstanding laundry facilities, a billiard room with 5 tables, large pool, card room, library, and a huge rec room. There are numerous activities every day and since many of the folks who are there are french Canadian many of the activities are offered on alternating nights in either English or French. The management was terrific, the people living there were incredibly nice, and it was exceptionally clean and well maintained. I would absolutely recommend it for long stays since it is centrally located in the Clearwater/St. Pete area. - Lee and Trace
Oct 2016 - $6.00
RV section roads are rough. Low hanging branches. Park is old. Manager is trying to fix it up. There are a lot of working class and old people who live here year round. The people who live here year round are OK. They take over the pool and clubhouse on the weekends. Pool was greasy from suntan lotion. - Travelin' partners
Jan 2011 - $35.00
There wasn't much of an area for a dog walk, and other people didn't pick up after their pets. The sites are tight and close together, making it difficult to get into your site. Restrooms and laundry room could be cleaner! The Front office staff was nice but could be a little more personable and smile more. The lady who cleans, needs to deep clean more often! The pool was not working properly in the 3 months we were here. Long term people had to rake and bag there own leaves to have a nice yard. The trees are over grown, blocks satellite service. Disorganized reservations: when we arrived our site was taken by someone else, no one around to help us. - stonewood1
Nov 2008 - $18.00
This was one of the worst sites we have ever been in. We were here one night and would never return. The road to the site that we were given was so close to the perimeter fence that we had trouble backing in. The staff didn't really care if we were there or not. The neighbor had his extra water hose hooked up to ours and he was no where in sight so we had to disconnect it. The city road that the campground is on is very busy and noisy. The price reflects the Passport America discount. - gosouth
Jan 2017 - $50.00
Worst camp ground I have stayed at in the last 20 years. Site was so small, I could not fit between sewage hookup and concrete patio. I could not put out any of the slide-outs. Tree branches scratched the sides of the coach. Lots of branches rubbed roof too. No grass at all on the site. Young men on motorcycles driving around park most of the night. Lady in a 40 year old park model next to our site played music ALL NIGHT and load enough to hear it in our coach. we didn't sleep much so we just got up at 7 am and went home. - Mike And Jan
Jan 2016 - $42.00
Sites are short and very close together. Mostly Shady, grass sites.
Old park and not much changed over the years. - MH-Tom
Feb 2014 - $30.00
We found this site through Encore. Although we are not members, to call it a "resort" is too big a stretch. The sites are tight, with neighbors very close beside. The place did not have a "resort" look to it at all. After having no luck finding other places to stay in February, we took this one for 5 days. The park is on extremely busy Ulmerton Road in Largo. RVers approaching from the east should not count on being able to make a U-turn to get into the park on the south side of Ulmerton. Just west of the park, Ulmerton Road is under major reconstruction and the daily traffic jams are epic, to say the least. We stayed here to visit friends and see the sights in the area. The Pinellas bike trail from St. Pete all the way to Tarpon Springs (43 miles) was great fun and the Pinellas county parks were very nicely done. If we were to visit this area again, we'd likely look for another place to stay. - Jay Rutherford
Oct 2016 - $12.00
The park has a lot of full timers and office staff is rarely there for working people's hours.
Manager treats some residents with no respect.
Sites are very unlevel and electricity shuts down due to overload on a very old infrastructure along with only a row or two having 50 amps.
Asphalt is is need of replacement in pad areas and concrete patios are a trip hazard on most sites.
Ants and bugs along with limbs that need to trimmed are an everyday issue.
I have dealt with this park due to job locations for the past 3 years and it needs new management that has respect for park residents that pay the bills.
You have to rake and bag your own site.
If you get put in the field, it's overrun with stickers and ants.
Trash bins are overflowing most of the time. - sar1966
Sep 2016 - $15.00
We have stayed here several times, over the years...usually during the off season, so the rates are less, and the park isn't crowded. This rate is the off season, monthly rate. The staff have always been very friendly, and accommodating. The recreation room, pool, laundry facilities, showers and bathrooms have always been clean, well maintained, and in excellent condition. All the sites we have used had picnic tables, concrete patios, and were level. The sites are fairly close together, but not so close as to be a problem. There is a large no smoking section, which is nice. We will be back. - cliffw42
Sep 2016 - $30.00
Employees are very nice and helpful. Park is clean, as is the pool and clubhouse. Very convenient to the beaches, shopping and our family. Have stayed here several times. - Travelin' partners
Feb 2017 - $20.00
Went in on a Sunday so had to go dry for one night. Monday was put in hookup a lot of construction going on so was hard to get around. I guess the only complaint would be to many full timers staying long term which makes it hard for ones that want to stay a couple of weeks and go one. People working here were great . - jamie1
Jan 2017 - $13.00
Called in advance, couldn't get answer. Emailed & told to check back. Emailed again & told dry camping only though 5 spaces near us stayed empty our entire 2day stay. Don't put a mat down on their nonexistent grass to cover the decaying dog poo left by others. Staff condescending and don't even begin to believe the posted office times. Horrible directions- sent us to a closed gate and we had to unhook toad to turn around. Poor signage to let you know you are heading to the right place. - Belle-Bailey
Feb 2016 - $20.00
Great place to stay. Nice facilities and great options for beach, gym, golf and other on base activities. We stayed one night in overflow, dry camping and then got right into a regular site. Upgrades on many of the 30 amp sites are underway. We'd stay there again in our 40' motorhome. - rwarner22
Jun 2016 - $28.00
Gravel is only under the trailer, there's a concrete pad to step on and to set chairs on. The tow vehicle is parked on blacktop. Everyone is friendly, the park is very clean and their working to improve new sites. This is a adult park. It's close to the beaches, lots of restaurants and too many places for my wife to shop. When I come back to this area I will be coming here. We stayed for one week. - Lindas Old Man
May 2015 - $30.00
Over priced for it's location. Not in a very appealing neighborhood. Passport America list price was $24, but they charged $30 a night saying their price had gone up. Overall park well maintained and clean.
We will not stay here again. - Abner
Feb 2013 - $43.00
Rate reflects average for 16 days including weekly/daily. This park was excellent. We are most likely going to stay the winter there. Pet Friendly (even has a dog park), brand new pool about to open, efficient front office and maintenance staff, and welcoming residents. Even though many permanent folks are here, it has the feel of a vacation park. - Bay Area Early retirees
