6 Parks near Starke, Florida
Jan 2017 - $42.00
Sites are very wide and long. Park is big and full. Lots of traffic noise but park itself is quiet. Many sites are grass, with a little gravel in driveway. Concrete patios. We had a paved site. WiFi is poor but other utilities are fine. Many permanent residents who all seem to know each other but we never saw people on either side to speak to. - padre

Clean and felt welcome by all was escorted to my site and showed all hook up's. - jamie1
Dec 2016 - $39.00
This KOA Kampground is clean, safe and quiet. It offers lots of amenities such as a pool, horseshoes, shuffleboard, a playground, and a dog walk area. The staff was helpful and friendly. The campground has lots of trees, but they are cut high enough not to scratch your roof. Mix of driveables, towables, cabins, and permanent homes. The roads are tight, but staff escorts you to your site. Kids and pets are welcome.
Our campsite was #84 and was a pull through site. It was a paved site with a concrete pad and picnic table dedicated to our spot. We had full hookups including sewer and 50 amp service. The site was mostly level with a slight slope on each side to avoid pooling water. Other spots are grass. The wi-fi reached our camping spot as they have repeaters set up around the site; however, it was slow during the day and VERY SLOW at night when more people were using it. Our AT&T mobile & data service was excellent, though. They also offer free cable, which we did not use.
Getting into the campground with our 40' 5th Wheel was very tight as there is a fence around a couple of small cabins that we came very close to swiping; however, my husband is a great maneuverer and he did great. Note to driver: swing wide right, watch your left side.
They have a laundry room, restrooms and recreation room on site but we did not use any of those services. Store is sparsely stocked, but is open 8am-8pm. There is a dumpster for trash on the way out of the campground and a recycling can for aluminum cans only.
This is a great location for access to necessities. It is right off highway 301, but we didn't hear highway noise. Grocery stores, gas stations (with diesel), and Walmart are located less than 5 minutes away.
The only negative: There are train tracks nearby that you can hear the loud, sometimes never-ending whistle at all hours of the day and night, but not often.
We would definitely stay here again, even with the train noise. - QueenBeeQT

This is a great park, nicely shaded along a lake front. I was only staying one night and didn't want to unhitch so the concrete pad on space 11 was great. I arrived late. As far as I could tell, and from the info from other campers, there wasn't a shower and restroom facility anywhere nearby available. Aside from that it was top notch. I would stay again. To get there, enter the main gate on Hwy 16, then make the first left, then an immediate first right down to the water front, then turn left and follow the shoreline for about 2 miles. - Colorado Vagabond
Jan 2011 - $20.00
Military / National Guard ONLY. Must enter at main gate on Rt. 16 - don't believe guidance from GPS to go to other gates. Many sites spread out over three camp grounds overlooking lake. Many nicely shaded sites. Many boaters were at camp. "New" camp ground is best with nice concrete pads and shade. Difficult to reserve by phone - office closed on weekends and after 16:00. About 1/2 way between Jacksonville and Gainesville. Out in the country and quiet. - TravelerRog

Apr 2016 - $27.00
We stayed here for 4 days on our way back north and I had a chance to talk with the new owner. Be prepared for some improvements. Our site was very long and spacious and level gravel. Very clean park and I would stay again if in the area. - easlingn

The current managers have a problem with animals. If your fur baby is not silent, you will have problems. I have been here for nearly a year with no problem until now. Also, the park floods like crazy, literally ankle deep. One of the residence collects beer cans, there are hundreds and hundreds all over his yard. Drinking is okay, pets are not. The fishing pond is just drainage from the flooding. Never heard of anyone catching anything. - justgracie

We stayed here during a NHRA event. The park has deteriorated markedly since we were last here. A large number of sites are blocked because their electrical service is unreliable. The lights have failed and not been repaired. The park accepts any type of vehicle and many of the long term residential units would not be welcome in most parks. The park used to be gated but the gate failed. Instead of fixing the gate, a bypass was created. I guess the reason the park is failing is that unless you need a place to live, there is no reason for stopping here. - Ras2
May 2013 - $35.00
Excellent park. Stopped here with friends on the way to a rally and stopped again on the way back home. The park manager was extremely friendly and helpful. Nice and clean sites. Would definitely come back again when in the area. - adhowell0709
Apr 2009 - $36.00
Enjoyed our stay. Paved roads, paved sites and patios. Bathrooms were immaculate. This is a new park. Grass was neat and trimmed. The overall setting is very enjoyable. Managers were friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had directions to RV parts store which we needed and (of course) WalMart which is only about 7 or 8 miles away. There is a restaurant and an Arby's within walking distance and many other places to eat not far away. Gas and diesel is available just outside of the park. We will definitely be stopping here when traveling on Hwy 301. Much better traveling through Florida than fast-paced, hectic I-75. We prefer to "stop and smell the roses"! - Godwin
Jan 2017 - $20.00
Had not been to this park in five or more years. It seems to be in better shape than it was my last stay. Staff and volunteers were nice. The park it self is very clean and in good repair. Lots of trails and a deep gorge, deep for Florida anyway. We will be back. - Wink
Oct 2016 - $26.00
Stayed here a couple of nights. We were on a new ADA site that was concrete, otherwise sites are a packed sand/rock/coral. OTA tv was good with about 20 channels; however, Verizon was spotty 2 bars Max 3G with occasional 4G. Area is somewhat remote, but that is part of the charm. Very well kept and clean. We would stay here again. - jtl2
Mar 2016 - $27.00
We try to camp here once a year. The lake is back open after years of being closed due to low water levels. There is a sandy beach area for swimming and canoe rentals are very reasonable. This is a park where the bathrooms and showers are always clean enough that we all shower in them instead of in the camper. Staff is continuously riding around so the park is VERY clean. On our last trip we had our Girl Scouts out and it was very challenging for them to find ANY litter to pick up, LOL! The trails are a highlight here. There are large ravines and streams with heavy shade. Very cool and scenic hike. - FloridaRVfamily
Mar 2016 - $20.00
Just the homeowners front yard in a quaint, little town, but a nice, quiet, place to stop for a day or two. We were passing through the area in our 45 foot motorhome and wanted to spend a couple of days away from all the hustle, bustle, and children who are now apparently out on spring break. This place has no pool, no playground, or anything to lure family campers to their facility, but the place is clean and the owners are friendly. There are 12 sites along the edge of the owners front yard and most are fairly level. We didn't have problems leveling, and the 50 amp was clean and stable. Water and sewer also were sufficient, and the others staying here were quiet and friendly. If you are crossing the state in this area and are looking for a quiet place to stay for a budget price, look no further. - WhiskeyMan
Feb 2009 - $15.00
For a small park in the boondocks we were very pleasantly surprised. The RV park is actually a very large grass front yard to the owners house. Along one side of the yard (really a field) is a row of 12 RV spots. Some have trees, others do not. Some have concrete pads, others do not. The Passport America rate makes this park a real value. We would stay here again. But don't be looking for the clubhouse, pool, or Jacuzzi. :) - jwillie44
