We stayed here three nights while touring around the area. The office check in was nice, our site was fair. All their sites are close and on mostly on dirt. Grounds are not well maintained but adequate for a short term. We would stay here again. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

I highly recommend the Tallahassee Automobile Museum East of town. I was amazed at the collection of autos, boat motors, fly wheel motors, motorcycles, the largest Case Knife collection anywhere and model cars, trucks, dolls, ie I have ever seen. Also Wakulla Springs State Park is well worth the trip. Make sure to eat in the old hotel restaurant, you will be well taken care of In the rustic setting overlooking the springs.

We have friends in the Tallahassee area and wanted to meet up while passing through the area. We chose Big Oak based on the closeness to the city. Upon arrival check in was easy and quick and finding our site was easy. We were in a pull thru that was just big enough for our slides and awnings, but it was big enough. There are several pull thrus side by side that are for transient people like us, it appears most of the park is populated with full time or long term residents. Our spot was fine for our few nights stay. The park is pretty and clean, with lots of oaks trees, including the very large one in the center of park with its branches that reach to the ground creating a beautiful shaded place to sit. The trees caused our satellite to be "stymied," but the cable was ok, and some sites looked like they could get a signal. My AT&T phone had 2-3 bars and LTE, I didn't try Verizon. Overall, I would recommend this park if you are visiting the Tallahassee area. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our 3rd time at this campground, all were 1 night stays. Most sites are level and fairly good size. WiFi and cable were both good. Lots of trees, some grass. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Only good for an overnight stay and way overpriced. We were here for a night three years ago but will find another place to stay if we have to come back this way again. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Not a lot to stay here for so think twice.

Stayed 4 nights because other parks full. Visited rest room/showers but did not use (old/dirty/trash). Poor WiFi which I was told is recurring (6 month) problem. Cable TV fuzzy, low water pressure. Long winded staff. Non-registered visitors. Residents speed thru park in vehicles, and the golf cart staff set the example. No paving and many unlevel spaces. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Motorhome.

Beautiful majestic Live Oak trees. Spacious pull through site. Excessive slope made it impossible to level. Staff indifferent to our problem. Campground filled with mostly older permanent trailers, many deteriorating. Grounds were unkempt.

Located off a very busy divided street, making entry and exit difficult. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Be extremely cautious entering and existing !!!

We stayed one night in this campground. At first we were told there were no spots available but then they found one. We were stuck on the end where the camping spots came to a point. The tiny spot we had should not have been used. We had to share the water, sewer, and cable with the neighboring trailer. Everything had a T on it for hookup. Also used the same electrical box as the neighbor. I had to use the 50 amp with an adapter as he was using the 30 amp plug in. One shower and stool for men in the entire park. I will never stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone. If they want to rent this spot. the renter should be told about the hookups and given a reduced rate. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This park is close to downtown and easily accessible from Interstate 10. Was going to stay at Elks Lodge, but after going there realized that the Elks Lodge RV was really not usable. Called Big Oak and there were openings in satellite section (no trees). No table even though there is a cement patio. Gravel is good as well as big rig friendly after you get through narrow registration area. Strong utilities are conveniently located with cable television. No posted office hours so Sunday extension was frustrating but staff accommodated after check out time. Will stay again even though price of $40.00 was high. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

2 miles from Interstate 10. Walmart close and state capital area and Florida State University within 10 minutes.

We stayed here one night while traveling on I-10. The park is about 3 miles north of I-10 on Hwy 27. Watch the entrance and exit signs as they are small. Our site was not level without using blocks under the front tires. The tow car had to be unhooked to get it properly parked for the space allowed. Sites were close together. Office staff was friendly. The park feels haphazard in its organization and there are many permanent residents. There are few choices of RV parks around Tallahassee so we made it work for one night. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

McDonalds is 3 blocks away. I-10 is 3 miles to the south.

We were glad to get in this park as the area is very crowded during football season. The turns were tight but we got in our site. The sites are gravel. There is cable tv & WiFi. The staff was friendly. We would stay here again. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Motorhome.

Arrived late but was greeted by staff who opened the office and let us pay with a credit card up front. The park entrance is confusing as the right side entrance is actually labeled an EXIT but it's impossible to tell that in the dark. They didn't give me the Good Sam's discount with what I paid.... The site was fairly level but there are some low hanging trees on the exit that you'll need to watch if your rig is over 13 feet, ours cleared within inches. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We arrived here at 10 pm with no reservations and were greeted by friendly and helpful staff. After a long day of driving we were pleasantly surprised to be escorted to our site in the dark by a staff member in a golf cart. Be prepared to pay with cash after hours. We arrived late and left early so I cannot speak to the amenities or lack of them. There did appear to be permanent residents in the park but they were neat and clean. The large oaks were beautiful. I would stay here again for a quick stop off I-10. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Motorhome.

Park has beautiful oak trees with wide level sites. Gravel sites with old cement patios and old wooden picnic tables. Park is OK, but way over priced as there is no pool or other amenities. Easy access to I-10, located on Rt 27, however lots of road noise. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Close to Freightliner for RV service.

This was just an overnight stay for us, but the campground was easy to find and easy to navigate. Office was helpful and friendly. Park has many trees, but no problem to drive through. We did not unhook and used a pull-through. We liked this park and would stay there again. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice staff. Quiet. Beautiful oak trees. Overpriced. WiFi did not work at all. Two bathrooms for this park is unacceptable. They were not clean. We had to wait in line. It was about 30° and the bathroom window does not close. Too cold to shower. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

If you need a bathroom, don't stay here.
