Close to lots of attractions and I-10. Lots of tall oak trees. Some spots have concrete patio but most don't. Lots of permanent residents. Small spaces. People very friendly. One area had an extremely low overhead wire? With streamers so campers would not turn that direction. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Motorhome.

The park was quiet. The lawns were well kept. It was close to restaurants & stores. The hook ups were well placed & the site was level. Concrete patio & picnic table. We had satellite signal at our site but most would not get it. It was difficult to get out of the space we were in. It was the second site from the corner. The site next to us had a pick up truck in front & behind their trailer making it very hard to negotiate the sharp turn we had to make. We left early & went the opposite direction, out the in. We have been to this park before & will return. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Motorhome.

Older park that has a lot of permanents. My site was fine, a pull thru. One small bathroom, old, tiny and very worn I looked at it and passed on using it. There is a beautiful old oak tree that is picture perfect. Good location. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is an older RV park located just a few miles from I-10 and right off highway 27, so it is easy to get to. Office staff was friendly and efficient. Roads are gravel and sites are sand/dirt. There are both pull-through and back-in sites. Most are in the shade under beautiful live oak trees, but there are about 8 long pull-through open sites for short stays. The bathrooms and laundry room are clean and adequate. There is green space along one side of the park for a short walk with the dog. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for a softball tournament in Tallahassee so we didn't spend a lot of time at the campground. We did get to see some impressively large Live Oaks (hence the name) and a nice common space to enjoy them. The campground is clean and well maintained. The sites are adequate in length but are very small in width. We had just enough room to open our awning. They seemed to pack the campground (even the two overflow sites at the office) every night we were there. Hookups were easily accessible and well maintained. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Visiting any of the FSU sports facilities is worth the effort. The Chief Osceola "Unconquered" statue is awesome. All of their facilities are impressive. The capital grounds are also worth the time. We were very impressed with the Tallahassee area.

We stayed here on our way out west. Easy access on and off US 27 and Highway 10. They have a great area for overnighters like us. Great, easily accessible hook ups and very easy in and out. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Motorhome.

We arrived after the office closed, made all arrangements over the phone with a very helpful person, parked in L2, next to the office. We did not have to unhook - that was awesome! We had to turn around since this site faced out, that was fine, a little work, but had room. Big oak trees all over the place, absolutely lovely, but my rooftop satellite could not find the sky, much less a signal. We used the 50 amp electricity; water and sewer were available but we did not use them. There was only one bathroom for each men and women. Water temp and pressure were fine for a shower! Stayed one night, but we have stayed here before and will stay again. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Great location for visiting this area of Florida. Park employees were friendly and helpful. Lots of large oak trees. Very few spots with clear space if you have a satellite dish but they do have good cable tv. Park roads are gravel and wide - no issues for large RV's (we have a 42' class A.) Most sites have a concrete patio and picnic table. A lot of long term campers here but no issues - we stayed 2 weeks. Would stay here again. Didn't use the onsite restrooms or laundry, so did not rate it. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Motorhome.

When getting off I-10, do NOT listen to your GPS. Ours tried to take us through the cemetery across the street. Just go straight down N Monroe St/US27 and turn left into the park.

We just stopped here for a quick overnight stay at the last minute. Our spot was right by the office which was convenient because we already parked there! The outdoor spaces were a surprising treat. Very pretty. Lots of seating everywhere and beautiful trees. Showers are just two individual rooms, fairly clean but extremely humid in there. Would use my own shower if staying longer but we didn't hook up our water for the quick stop. Really liked the place though and would come back! We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We did not have reservation so receptionist seemed to have difficulty finding a site so we would not have to unhook (length). However next morning I found several sites that we could have gotten into easier. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very old park with lovely live oak trees. Mostly full time residents. Looking out my window I see a row of run down RV's, some with flat tires. The rate is too high for what is available. Husband checked out showers and decided to use ours which tells me they weren't good. Lots are stone with small patio, some lots have picnic tables, ours did not. Site not level, we used blocks under front tires to level. We would not stay here again. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Motorhome.

We were traveling home from Florida back to Texas and needed a one night stay. This park is easy on and off of I-10. Some decent restaurants by to have a nice meal. Lots of permanent people but all were friendly. We did camp under a beautiful, big tree! Nice clean rv spot with a small concrete pad and picnic table. Just fine for one night. Very close to next RV with a barking dog:( It was fine for one night but I would not stay here for more than that. Wi-fi was up and running and good. Cable also comes with site and it worked good. We stayed at this park for one night. We had a large pull through site and did not have to disconnect our car. Staff was helpful. They took us to our site and help helped us get parked. The park has easy access from the freeway and it's easy to navigate inside the park. As the name implies the park as many mature oak trees. Some are apparently over 350 years old and are beautiful. The park is very well-maintained, leaves are raked and they are continuously planting new plants. There is one giant oak tree in the middle of the park and they have made the area into a beautiful park. It is almost worth a trip to this park just to see the trees. If I were to return to the Tallahassee area I would definitely stay at this park again. I We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Motorhome.
