We did not have reservation so receptionist seemed to have difficulty finding a site so we would not have to unhook (length). However next morning I found several sites that we could have gotten into easier. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Bathroom only for one male and one female at a time for entire park. Sites are good and level and large enough. Park is clean and cable worked fine. No working internet and worker told us it had not worked for more than a month. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed at this park for one night. We had a large pull through site and did not have to disconnect our car. Staff was helpful. They took us to our site and help helped us get parked. The park has easy access from the freeway and it's easy to navigate inside the park. As the name implies the park as many mature oak trees. Some are apparently over 350 years old and are beautiful. The park is very well-maintained, leaves are raked and they are continuously planting new plants. There is one giant oak tree in the middle of the park and they have made the area into a beautiful park. It is almost worth a trip to this park just to see the trees. If I were to return to the Tallahassee area I would definitely stay at this park again. I We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Motorhome.

We were traveling home from Florida back to Texas and needed a one night stay. This park is easy on and off of I-10. Some decent restaurants by to have a nice meal. Lots of permanent people but all were friendly. We did camp under a beautiful, big tree! Nice clean rv spot with a small concrete pad and picnic table. Just fine for one night. Very close to next RV with a barking dog:( It was fine for one night but I would not stay here for more than that. Wi-fi was up and running and good. Cable also comes with site and it worked good. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very old park with lovely live oak trees. Mostly full time residents. Looking out my window I see a row of run down RV's, some with flat tires. The rate is too high for what is available. Husband checked out showers and decided to use ours which tells me they weren't good. Lots are stone with small patio, some lots have picnic tables, ours did not. Site not level, we used blocks under front tires to level. We would not stay here again. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Motorhome.

Although the park was full, the manager gave us a park next to the office. We were arriving late so she placed cones at the site so it would be available for us and we could easily see it. The wifi was the best we have had in an RV park. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great over night stop or if you are going to be in the area for a couple of days...a lot of things to do in the area....the sites are very close and very shady...fairly level with full hook ups, all services including Wifi worked well....our site had a concrete patio for the picnic table...laundry services worked well and there is one bathhouse for the whole camp ground but it was clean and served its purpose but could be a long wait if really busy....staff was nice....not a place I would spend the week at but I would stay again if passing thru.....just 2.6 miles off expressway and back big rig friendly.... We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Motorhome.

We spent two nights here, a quick stop. It is located two miles north of Interstate 10, about 8 miles north of central Tallahassee. As the name implies the RV sites are dispersed among beautiful, large oak trees, many draped with Spanish moss. Therefore, don't plan on using your satellite TV but they do provide cable with a good channel selection. Also, because of the trees there is lots of shade but no grass. The site pads are dirt with a concrete patio and picnic table. The driveway at the entrance is asphalt but it quickly gets smaller and then disappears to become dirt and dust. There is free WiFi but it was not usable. The bathrooms are OK but there is only a single toilet/shower combo for men and one for women for the entire campground. There is a laundry but we didn't use it. We had a pull through site with full hookups and 50 amp electric. AT&T 4G signal strength from this location was -107dBm which is average. We paid $40 per night with Good Sam discount. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Motorhome.

Our truck broke while passing through Tallahassee so we got towed to Big Oak. We were there until their pre-paid customers were due to come in. We were here during the hurricane but with the predicted high winds, we took shelter at a motel. Laundry facility was great, staff was super nice. Would stay here again if needed a spot in Tallahassee. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Be careful if they give you site L1! They knew that it had a terrible slope but didn't tell us. They knew that there was no patio area and we couldn't put our slide out but they didn't tell us. They knew that it was next to a road and dumpster and there would be traffic in the night and morning. All this for $40 bucks - What a rip off! We couldn't get out of their fast enough. Next time we'll dry camp at Cracker Barrel. We did give them one star because we had 30A for our A/C. If you're considering this campground, go somewhere else. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice shaded lots, fairly easy to navigate. Friendly staff. Our pull thru space was a bit short, we could fit our 5th wheel for a convenient hook up, but had trouble finding a place to park our truck. Clean, would recommend and would stay again. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here for an overnight while passing through the Tallahassee areain our 40' toyhauler. We would definitely recommend this park for an overnight. It is easy to access - just a few miles off I-10. They have about 8 long pull-throughs that look like they are dedicated to overnighters. The utilities were dated, but worked just fine. The cable was excellent and clear. This is an older park with mostly full-time residents. Some units have obviously been there a long time. But that doesn't take away from the value and convenience of this park for an overnight. We would definitely stay here again if passing through the area. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here three nights while touring around the area. The office check in was nice, our site was fair. All their sites are close and on mostly on dirt. Grounds are not well maintained but adequate for a short term. We would stay here again. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

I highly recommend the Tallahassee Automobile Museum East of town. I was amazed at the collection of autos, boat motors, fly wheel motors, motorcycles, the largest Case Knife collection anywhere and model cars, trucks, dolls, ie I have ever seen. Also Wakulla Springs State Park is well worth the trip. Make sure to eat in the old hotel restaurant, you will be well taken care of In the rustic setting overlooking the springs.

We have friends in the Tallahassee area and wanted to meet up while passing through the area. We chose Big Oak based on the closeness to the city. Upon arrival check in was easy and quick and finding our site was easy. We were in a pull thru that was just big enough for our slides and awnings, but it was big enough. There are several pull thrus side by side that are for transient people like us, it appears most of the park is populated with full time or long term residents. Our spot was fine for our few nights stay. The park is pretty and clean, with lots of oaks trees, including the very large one in the center of park with its branches that reach to the ground creating a beautiful shaded place to sit. The trees caused our satellite to be "stymied," but the cable was ok, and some sites looked like they could get a signal. My AT&T phone had 2-3 bars and LTE, I didn't try Verizon. Overall, I would recommend this park if you are visiting the Tallahassee area. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
