This is a fairly rudimentary park. Sites are graveled, but the gravel is worn thin. Streets claim to be paved, but the pavement is not in great shape. We had a good pull-through site but weren't able to get satellite service because of a fairly heavy tree cover. This park is good for an overnight stop, but only because there are few good parks in the area. We camped at Tallahassee RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We ate at a nearby Friday's. It was crowded, service was slow and the food was marginal at best. You have to weave your way through heavy traffic to reach more desirable restaurants.

This is a very nice park close to the I-10 with easy in and out. Close to shopping as well. Our site was level and big enough for our trailer and truck. A bit close at most sites but everything worked great. It has the one of best wifis we've had in our travels. There are some extended stay folks but they're in the back and seem to be tidy. We would stay here again. We camped at Tallahassee RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There's an antique car museum down the street - we visited and weren't impressed. They charge $15 per person - no senior or military discount. Although it has a few cool cars it has a lot of junky stuff like old calculators, boat motors and knives for sale as well as replica Steinway pianos. For the price it's not worth it.

Since we have stopped here before we knew what was offered. It seems to have evolved into off campus housing. Lots of 5th wheels and more permanent parking. We ended up in site 1, which is a short pull thru. Close to the showers, which are very clean single bathrooms. Good for overnight. Price has gone up $$ since we first visited. We camped at Tallahassee RV Park in a Motorhome.

We wanted a one night stop over to break up the drive to Orlando. Tallahassee RV park is located in a great spot right off I-10. The park has a lot of large trees around the park and between the sites. If you want to use your satellite, get one of the more open spots at the very front of the park. The park has a tiny bathroom, shown in one of the pictures, cable and advertises wifi. We did not get on the wifi successfully. The sites are long enough to park your toad or to leave it connected, but they are very narrow. The roads and sites are all gravel. We stayed in site #1 which was perfect for our smaller (25') Class C. It is open on the camp side and plenty big enough. We loved it. However, the rest of the sites are pretty much pull-through parking lot style. Very close together. The park itself is very clean and well organized. Staff was friendly and helpful. We had no trouble navigating the roads in our 25 footer but they looked tight to us. However, given the number of big rigs there, I would say most don't see it as a problem. Not much in the park to see/do but it's proximity to FSU and downtown Tallahassee are hard to beat. We camped at Tallahassee RV Park in a Motorhome.

Convenient from I-10, but it can be challenging to get out of campground and back to I-10 when traffic is heavy. Pull through sites are way too close together. If there was enough room to put out your awning, your neighbors utilities would be under the awning. Utilities work well, but the threads on the sewer connections are stripped. Cable is good. Wifi is much better than most campgrounds. Staff is friendly and the campground is clean. We camped at Tallahassee RV Park in a Motorhome.

My first observation regarding the park is that it's tight, very tight. Seems like they want to squeeze ever rv as close together as possible to maximize profits. When you extend your awning and it almost touches the other rig, then that's close...This is a very clean and well kept park with 66 channels on tv and super fast wifi. You can tell they take pride in their park, yet I can't get past being so cramped up. Nice place for an overnight if you can squeeze in! We camped at Tallahassee RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

The Tallahassee RV Park has two separate and distinct areas for RV's. The first is their "campground" which is on the north side of the office. There you will find approximately 50 sites, trees, a bathhouse, the laundry and a rec room. It looked like a nice area, although the sites appeared to be a tad close. Then there was the "parking lot" on the south side of the office building. There were about 15 varying sized sites set on the side of a hill situated around a circle driveway. These sites seemed to be someone's idea of squeezing as many RV's into as little area as possible. The site we had was so out of kilter that I needed 4 Lego blocks under each front tire to get the MH close to being level. I couldn't open the awning as it would have been extended into the driveway. The only way we could have used the picnic table would have been to drag it into the driveway, since the area where it was sitting was very out of level. The only way I could hook-up to the utilities was by standing on my neighbor's property, which I never like doing. When it came time to depart, we had to drive to the parking lot at the Publix to find enough room and a spot level enough to connect the toad. And lastly, the noise from US Route 90, about 150 feet away, was annoyingly loud. Yes, it did subside slightly at night, but not enough for a peaceful night's rest. The only way I could recommend this RV Park would be a site in the campground area, as far away from the highway as possible. We camped at Tallahassee RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a good park with good power and water. Lots of trees but has cable. My only complaint is if you are up front there is a big drop off getting out of the rv door. Lots are fairly level but slant down at the front. Have to unhook if you are over 40 ft. with tow. Hard to park with the narrow lots and trees. Very close to each other. Very helpful staff. Easy to access from I-10. Very good cable and wi-fi. We stayed a week, paid for 6 nights, 7th night free. Laundry room very clean and reasonably priced. Close to the Tallahassee Automobile Museum which is so much more than just the cars, which are awesome by themselves. Great place to visit, just down the road. Another place to visit is Wakulla Springs State Park about 1/2 hour away. Take the boat tour down the river. We had a terrific guide on the tour. Gave a 9, because there was no propane on site. Not a problem except the weather was quite cold at night, during our stay. We camped at Tallahassee RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We stayed here twice in one week. Once on the way to Mobile and once on the way home. Pros: Place was very clean and well kept. Rest rooms and showers were also clean and well kept. The staff was extremely accommodating. Cons: rest rooms and showers were not heated which on a day with 38 degrees overnight can be pretty chilly in the morning. The fact that there were only two was really not an issue. I never had to wait ( maybe it was too cold). The RV spaces were extremely close together - the closest I've been exposed to. I think in really good weather the close proximity of the next trailer could be an issue. The was little room to maneuver between my water inlet side and the people next door. Once I was hooked up it became a non issue. The sites were gravel and not level at all. We were at a site in the front that had reasonably extensive slope after the front of the trailer. That just made the hitching up process in the morning more difficult, but not impossible. I think for the price charged there should be less "cons". Despite the pros, there were enough cons that if I pass this way again, I'll look around for another park. We camped at Tallahassee RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
