Mar 2018 - $170.00
We stayed 4 nights. Paid $170/night plus 12% tax or $190.39/night. If you have FMCA, ask if they offer a discount. Reservation person on the phone was pleasant and capable. The resort was full and we were glad to have a spot even though it's extremely expensive. Aztec has all the bells and whistles of a first class resort including immaculate landscaping with healthy green grass, flowers and lovely palm trees. The amenities are fabulous. Be prepared to provide a drivers license at the guard gate upon initial arrival. Once inside at the office area, the staging area isn't well marked or particularly big rig friendly (park on the right side - you might have to block a driveway). Also it's on a curve which makes it tough to get straight to unhook your toad. I imagine this design "flaw" stems from it being an owners resort rather than an "RV Park". Check in was friendly and efficient. Staff is bilingual and helpful. We were given a calendar of activities (tons going on) including English speaking social gatherings. We were escorted to our site. Our site was all pavers, level, large (very long and very wide) with a hedge providing some privacy. There was trash on our site (my pet peeve) including food packaging and cigarette butts. No patio furniture. All hook-ups worked perfectly. Clear sky for Verizon cell, Verizon MiFi and DirecTV. Trash is picked up on site daily. I didn't see any recycling. Big air conditioned gym with all sorts of weights and numerous weight and cardio machines. I took a line dancing class ($2) and a Zumba class (free). Both classes were in French but its easy to follow if you can see the instructor. I personally found French speakers to be friendly when given the chance. There are lots of golf carts and bicycles zipping around. A surprising amount of kids too. Exercise caution. We enjoyed our time here and would love to stay again although we'd certainly have to take cost into consideration. - GottaGoNow
Feb 2018 - $160.00
This is definitely a high end park. We had no other choice for a park while visiting relatives nearby. Nothing wrong with this park except the price which is reasonable for this location and the considerable amount of attention to detail in the park. This is by far the nicest RV park we have ever used in over 30 years of camping in our motor coach. - 450 LXi
Jan 2018 - $149.00
Look at the web site .when we were there they raised the rates. Monthly rates $4200-$4700 winter plus 11% tax. My understanding is when someone went to the front desk to put a deposit for next season the rate changed at their whim. Beautiful park. We opted to go elsewhere next year because it's a hassle dealing with management and the rates re out of sight. No internet or cable included. Not even a picnic table - Jenne23

My opinion of this place is it is an old storage yard with hook ups. Extremely tight starting at the entrance off the street, as well parking at site. Suggest you visually inspect site before paying, because of their no refund policy. No dog walk area, it is a hike not a walk to restaurants and shopping. - Capt_Ron1

Management was very helpful and friendly. Our site was level w/shade and room to park our 2 trucks. I did not use the restroom/showers but the laundry was always clean and well maintained. We would definitely stay here again. - dakotabean

We pulled in and pulled right back out. Trailers were very close together, the lot and camp sites were unlevel, nothing was like their web sight suggested. Very unsafe feel to the place. We would rather stay in a Walmart mart parking lot than to spend a night in this camp ground. Best advise we can share is not to go there. - k64 -_k

It took some time to get into the resort because the gates were locked. Followed instructions for the intercom to get the office to open the gate and got an inaudible response. A maintenance guy eventually let us in. He was very helpful. There were two people ahead of us in the office and it took a while to register them. However, the office staff were very helpful, friendly and professional. We were given a pull through site with no neighbors on either side, so we had lots of room. Had there been neighbors, it would have been tight. Everything is heavily secured because the resort is not in the best neighborhood. Went for a bike ride outside of the resort and found local residents to be quite rude. Other than that, everything was OK. It was a very quiet camp and the pool was nice. This resort is a good staging area for day trips near Fort Lauderdale. There is not much to do inside the resort other than swim in the pool or watch TV. Note that the over the air TV reception is quite good. - John A Guderian
Oct 2017 - $19.00
This is an older Encore/Thousand Trails RV Park with a number of Park Models and full time RVers. The $19 rate is based on our RPI Membership. It is OK for a short stay to take in the sites of Ft Lauderdale and the Beaches. The sites have blacktop driveways and a concrete patio, but no picnic table. Full hookups with cable TV. Didn't hook up to the cable as we were able to get good over the air TV reception. Wi-fi is available for an additional cost, however I was able to use my mobile hotspot to access the internet. One of the pools was not open, but again as an older park it didn't look that appealing. The other pool was open and looked better. They had restrooms at the pools but no showers, other than an outside shower. There was a single shower at the laundry room that looked good. - Michael Kibler
Apr 2017 - $22.00
I was there during the "off season" plenty of empty spaces. Office lady was very nice and efficient. She told me I could pull thru instead of back up, because of some many empty spaces. Swimming pool was clean. Bathrooms clean, the Men's bathroom had a hole in the exterior wall, hole did not go through to the outside. Over the air TV was good. I paid for internet service the signal was very strong, five bars out of five bars...but the internet speed was very very very slow, terribly slow. I had my external laptop amplified antennae that received the signal very well, but the internet was the slowest I have experienced, so far. Laundry facilities were very clean. I would use this place again, but not purchase the internet wifi service...it is a waste of money. My 30 amp power pedestal connection did not function. So I used the adjacent power pedestal, there was no one using that space. I would use the park during the off season because of the passport discount...but would not purchase the internet wifi service. - Joe O

Feb 2018 - $55.00
This is really not a campground for "camping". It is a convenient spot to place your RV/camper while you are in the very crowded area of Ft Lauderdale. There are many people wintering here as evidenced by the out of state and Canadian tags. Also there are many permanent sites but NOT rented to the locals like we have experienced in some parks. The bathrooms appear to be recently renovated and I was very happy with them. Pool is older. Streets are asphalt and the sit has a concrete patio. Yes, this is very crowded and tight. Thankfully the staff is excellent at guiding you into your site. My hubby is great at this but even he needed help. Office staff is nice. Neighbors are warm. Sitting here now listening to neighbors having a good time. Close to I-95. Neighborhood is nothing to brag about but the campground is fine. The signage is good and roads are well marked. If you need to be in this area it works. - JBE2016
Nov 2016 - $21.00
Very crowded, narrow roads. Noisy with sirens, motorcycles, loud music on weekends. Changed price on us after we reserved a site. Not in a very safe area. Left early even though no refund allowed . - IowaGirl
Feb 2016 - $45.00
The entire staff was very helpful, friendly, and nice. But the park itself has much to be desired. It is in a bad neighborhood, and it sits next to a very busy street. We heard sirens constantly; as well as cars honking, tires screeching, boom boxes shaking the walls of our camper, and just overall loud noises and ruckus. The campground is old, and is in need of updating and overall repair. There was no security gate, and a sign posted in the office told the patrons to lock up their bicycles, as many bicycles had recently been stolen. We definitely did not feel safe staying here. It is sad that I have to write such a poor review about the park, because as I stated previously, the staff was very nice. - Mable Irene

Our third stay. On arrival, reception was confused about our reservation, which proved advantageous. No multiple moves (the famous Easterlin Shuffle). Reception was pleasant. Bathrooms need updating and a cleaning crew that does a much better job. Sometimes had to go to other bathroom because the closest one was disgusting. Sites are attractive and more or less clean. It is in an urban forest so a few fallen leaves help with the picture. At least one's view is not mainly of one's neighbor's poo pipe! Park is for urban recreation; lots of big families visit on weekends. The camp is about 250 yards from a twin track main line railroad. Train whistles day and night; level crossing 100 yards from park entrance. It is also about 500 yards from the I-95, all 10 lanes plus on/off ramps. 24/7 dull roar and pollution. There is a new electric entry gate for night time control, but the park has no real security. It is surrounded by some dodgy areas. During weekdays, there is no entry charge, so anyone can and does come in. We were careful not to leave things of value outside our rig. Still, we didn't feel especially at risk. The campers themselves seemed to be either snowbirds or visitors. No people living in their rigs full time. Walks with the park are pleasant if buggy. Yes outside the park there are stores like Lowes, but good food shopping is a bit further away. Wifi speed is moderate and dropped out a lot despite being 100 ft from an antenna. No laundry facilities. - RHUnity
Aug 2017 - $27.00
We always stay at Easterlin Park when we're in the area. The office staff is really nice and always helpful. The park is very clean, bathrooms, campsites, etc. The camp spaces are surrounded by trees and bushes, so that although you can still see your neighbors, there is still some privacy. Each space has a paved pad, picnic table and a grill. There is a pond with all kinds of birds hanging out there, lots of picnic areas and a nice children's playground. The park is close to grocery stores, Lowes and, most important, the Beach. I would give them the highest rating, except that they are in a very noisy location, with railroad tracks running right next to them. At night however, with the camper A/C running, you won't hear any of it. We really love this park. We've been staying with them on vacations since 1979. It's still the nice park it's always been. - Sweettooth
Mar 2017 - $40.00
We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Easterlin Park Campground, except for the trains. The staff were excellent, we loved the fact that there were a ton of trees in the majority of the sites, and it was exceptionally quiet, except for the trains. Yes, as you have probably guessed, the park is next to commuter train tracks and, except for very late at night, the trains run from early morning to dark. Our plan was to stay for 2 nights, which we did, but any longer would have really affected my sleeping. If the CG was anywhere else, I would have given them all 10's. - Love To Travel 2

Broward Co. operates 4 or 5 of these parks, 9 months ago I stayed in their C.B. Smith park. Both parks were very nice and both had their pro's and con's. The Markham park is easy to get to from I-95 to I-595 or I-75. The sites were not large but were roomy enough. I was in site C2, most of the sites are arranged in a circle just off of the main road thru the park and most of the circles only have 1 paved site which they mostly reserve for handicapped. My site was dirt/grass. The utility connections were very good. No cable TV. I am a light sleeper and the road noise from I-75 did bother me. I would recommend trying to get a site in circle groups D_E_F or G-H-I or even farther back. The bath/showers were always clean. But the showers do not have any hooks for clothes or soap dish or shelf to put things like soap and shampoo or washrag. I would certainly stay here again. - trav
Mar 2018 - $40.00
The park itself is huge. Many local residents use the park for bike riding, walking, running, group events, etc. They have a VERY nice large dog park divided for large and small breeds. There is a "pay for use" (I think $5 daily fee) but the gate was broken while we were there so we entered the dog park for free. There are several loops that are set up for Rv-ers with about 7 0r 8 campsites in each. Full hookups. Our area was full but everyone was quiet and friendly. We were in B Loop - if we come again I would prefer a different loop - we saw other loops that were less full. WIFI is very poor (use your hotspot if you have it) - TV received just a few channels. There is a fire ring and grill for cooking. This park is located in the town of Weston so it's very close to shopping - Publix is nearby. All in all not a bad place to stay in Ft. Lauderdale at a reasonable price. - Rdtrip04
Jan 2018 - $40.00
We enjoyed our stay here. The large park in which this campground is located is a very pleasant place to be. The Everglades began 30 yards from our back window. There is shopping nearby, but since the park is on the very western edge of civilization in this area, some specific stores and restaurants may be 7 miles or more away. The sites themselves are mostly dirt and grass, although there are a few concrete pull-throughs in one section. The water, sewer, and power hookups were adequate, but old and not necessarily conveniently or consistently placed (be ready with long hoses). There is public wifi that was sufficient for our needs, but we didn't try streaming video, and I doubt it would have worked for that. As other reviewers have noted, there's more noise than you'd expect from such a large park. The expressway at the park entrance is close to circles A, B, and C (which are all together). The park is on the approach to Fort Lauderdale airport, so airliners were constantly turning above at just a few thousand feet (although while we were there they were always on approach for landing and thus the engine noise was minimal). There is a north-south canal that separates the park from the Everglades right by the camping circles, and on the weekend jet skis were racing up and down for hours. Finally, there is a target range at the back of the park, and constant distant gunfire can be heard at times. Yet overall we found our stay here pleasant and relaxing. Bike riding and long walks in the main areas of the park were enjoyable and a big plus. The staff was friendly and helpful. We'd be happy to come here again. - Bbsanmob

If you enjoy sitting at the departure end of a major airport and hearing screaming jets fly over every few minutes, then this place is for you! In addition, we were given site S4, which is one of the sites right up against busy Burris Road. Let me out of here! Thankfully, it was only a 3-night stay, and I have no idea how the hundreds of Canadian folks can live here for weeks or months. The woman who "greeted" us at the front gate was not at all friendly, and I'm sure she won't mind that we'll never be back. Sites for RV's were very tight, although the concrete pad was nice and level. Water pressure was extremely high - don't forget your regulator. 50-amp power was adequate. Verizon reception was great, and a strong picnic table was available at most sites. Bathrooms were very nice, and clean, but the showers did not provide shelves or benches for items I would want to take with me. The laundry machines required that you purchase a $5.00 card and charge it at their machine - no thanks, I'll wait for the next stop! There was a nice walking/biking path along nearby Orange Drive that we enjoyed. Good grocery stores and other services were fairly close by. I'm sorry, but I fail to find anything about this park that warrants $65 per day. Oh, here comes another jet - gotta go! - LowesTravels
Jan 2014 - $60.00
Sites are small, close together. Most are permanent or semi-permanent. The location is convenient to the highways, in an industrial area. It is also directly under the landing path for Ft. Lauderdale airport, so there is a continuous stream of jets overhead. At our site, the WIFI was mostly OK. Water was good. Staff was friendly. It is a very popular place for Quebecois, so many of the guests here are French speaking. Kind of a culture shock, but interesting! This is not necessarily a negative, just an observation. - gsgroff
Mar 2013 - $60.00
Staff are very helpful and can provide lots of info for the area even if they don't appear to love their jobs. The website and site brochure are a bit misleading as the 8 laundry locations have been reduced to 3 and some other facilities have changed. The park is on the flight path for the airport which can be very busy. They park is generally well maintained especially in the large area occupied by the seasonal Quebec population. Most signs in the park are only in French. Wi-Fi is okay and they offer RV storage. We would stay again if in the area for a short time. - lrp374

This is a large park, with many permanent sites. Very small sites, all paved. It is located in a highly industrialized area of Ft. Lauderdale, surrounded by scrap metal yards, lift rentals, etc. Most of the traffic on the road to the park is dump trucks and it is surrounded by highways. It is also located directly under the runway approach for landing aircraft to Ft. Lauderdale airport. On the good side, it was fairly friendly, the Wi-Fi was mostly OK, although it was intermittent at times. It is centrally located, so you can get to wherever you want to go fairly well. What I found most interesting is that English is the minority language. It is overwhelmingly French Canadian. - gsgroff

Sites are close together, but then again we are close to Ft. Lauderdale and surrounding cities. Site backed up to a canal and amazing yachts passing all day. Streets are tight and very "rolling" so your RV will be rocking in and out. No place to hook up the tow vehicle so everyone backs up and blocks the exit road so the locals get aggravated. Most sites are occupied by winter seasonal residents and we definitely felt like outsiders. We waved, they looked and turned away. That said, the office staff were very nice. - Russell01
Jan 2018 - $78.00
Was able to secure a last minute reservation in Jan for 4 nights after a mix-up at the KOA. That was a God-send. Park is adjacent to I-95 with a good amount of road noise. Turned the AC fan on at night and mitigated it. Park is built around a marina. Paid for a water-front site, but had one of the largest privately owned boats that I have ever seen parked at the dock immediately behind our RV, so no water view at all, though did have a boardwalk to walk on. Roads in this park are terrible. Speedbumps difficult to navigate in an RV and patholes galore, expecially on the road out of the park. Seem to be many permanent RVs in the park, though most in good condition. Convenient to interstates 95 and 75/595 and shopping is nearby. When exiting the park, can only turn right so going to the beaches requires a u-turn up the street. Overall, a satisfactory stay, but nothing to be excited about. Getting the last minute reservation was a savior though. - NC Bill

pool not functional, cold not heated, need water shoes to swim because of braking apart in bottom, only four old (4) showers for the entire park, dirty, old, slow water pressure, etc.. sites extremely small, cannot open awning to full extent or extension slide outs, mud when raining, no place for primary vehicle, etc.. peut traduire en français.... pas une belle place pour des vacances, pischine non fonctionnelle, ni chauffée, très vieille pour meme utiliser des chaussures de plages, 4 douches suelement pour 250 sites, sales, vieuilleux, sans pouvoir d'eaux, etc. pas de place pour le véhicule principal . ANTS, ANTS and more ANTS - BEWARE We stayed in this campground for 3 long nights. We picked this campground, in an emergency, due to a death in the family and needed to be as close as possible for four days. It was the only site they had available. After our first night we noticed some ants in different areas throughout the trailer (no big deal since after all we are camping). By the second day we were loaded, kitchen, bathroom, entry doors and some even managed to get into our bed. The ants were crawling all over the outside connections, electrical box and cord, water hose. In all our three years camping throughout the U.S. we have never encountered such a problem. Luckily Walmart was near by to purchase Home Defense at 7 in the morning (which we never used since we never had too). As I was spraying the outside of the camper the neighbor next to me came over to inquire, told him what was going on, and he said "yeah I spray all the time to control it". We have been spraying the camper outside and in, multiple times. They got into our food cabinets and walls as well. After 5 days of continuously spraying everywhere I think we have finally gotten control of it. Majority have been killed off. The sites are not more than 5 feet apart from one another, that didn't matter as we just needed a full hook up to sleep. One positive - the bathroom and showers were clean, though did notice some ants there as well. Hook-ups: Electrical - Back Right, Sewer - Back, Water - Back left - SusanZ
Jun 2014 - $50.00
This is one of the worst parks we have visited and the most expensive. The sites are cramped, unlevel, full of weeds and ants. When we put out our slide out we almost hit the trailer next to us. The front office person did not seem happy about answering any questions we had. There is also a train nearby which makes sleeping difficult. Overall it was an unpleasant experience and I would strongly advise people to look elsewhere to stay. - fontina
Nov 2009 - $42.00
Despite the bad reviews, we needed a place to hook-up and stay nearby, while visiting family for the holiday. This is definitely not a place for kids. Don't even bother to come with kids, because you will get the stare down look from the nearby neighbors. The other reviews are true, but if you are just looking to hook-up and not planning to stick around the park that much, it's probably fine. Apparently, the summer is pretty dead here, but we are here just before the holiday and there are a ton of snow birds from Canada; mostly over 55 community. We arrived after 8PM on a Sunday and made it to our campsite OK. A lot of permanent or long term residents. When my kids jumped out the RV to greet their grandfather, that met us at the park, the neighbors came outside a little disgruntle at the noise (which wasn't that loud), but since they obviously are not use to kids here, we seemed to be disrupting their quiet kid less park. Since we are not Canadian and in our 30's, we definitely seem to be the topic of conversation in the park. It's actually pretty funny that as plain as we are, that we can be that much entertainment. We dropped the kids off with their grandparents and my husband & I are enjoying a little senior RV living and quiet time in the hot South Florida sun. - CasillasCampers
