I Do Not Recommend this RV park to anyone. First of all it's located in a really sketchy part of Tampa. We were there for 3 months. Our first month, during the daylight hours, we caught 3 local kids stealing one of our bikes, got it back that time, but a week later, they came back and cut the locks off both our bikes and took both of them. These kids continued to come back over and over. Also managing to steal other RVers bikes.

When it first happen, the acting manager said and I quote, "I can't be outside 24/7." Excuse me? Im sorry, but that is the wrong answer to tell your customers who pay quite a bit to stay in your not very attractive RV park. The people who run this place really don't care if anyone steals your stuff. I didn't even get an I'm sorry that happened to you.

This place is not your typical RV park. There are long term residents, its across the street from a family dollar. Its near Busch Gardens and a lot of businesses. Thats about the only thing it has going for it. The bathrooms are ok, however the stall doors are right in your face when you sit down. The laundry room is located in between the bathrooms. 2 out of 4 washers don't work and 2 of 3 dryers do work. There's no pool either. They also charge for electric.

I will never ever stay here again. If you decide to stay, its def going to be at your own risk and don't have any expectations. We camped at Tampa RV Park (formerly Camp Nebraska) in a Motorhome.

Camp Nebraska is now called Tampa RV Park. There may be new owners/managers from the ones mentioned in older posts - the people we met were friendly and helpful. This is a good option if you want a campground IN Tampa. It is convenient to Bush Gardens, USF, I-275 and Downtown. It is in an area of town that has old businesses (including some strip clubs and tattoo parlors), but the park itself was quiet with not much traffic coming through it. I never felt unsafe there. There ARE some campers that are rented out as residences, and others who are there for the winter, but they have temporary guests as well, including some good size, newer RVs. The park is old, and the sites are fairly narrow - not much outdoor space, especially if you have slide-outs. There are concrete pads but the one on our site wasn't in a convenient place so we didn't use it. The restrooms don't have the best design, but were clean. 2 toilets, 2 showers, one dressing room and sink. The men's room had some plumbing issues, but they were working to correct that. They were having problems with the Wifi, but worked hard to get it working - it was better, but still sporadic. Tampa RV Park is NOT a resort!, but it was a very convenient place to stay, and we would stay there again. We camped at Tampa RV Park (formerly Camp Nebraska) in a Truck Camper.

Tips for other Campers:

South on Nebraska you will find a very good diner - "3 coins Diner". It is open 24/7 and we saw quite a few cars in the parking lot every time we went by. There is a Family Dollar store right outside the campground, and convenient bus stops too. A few block north is Fowler Ave, where there are lots of stores, and restaurants. "Shell's" restaurant is famous for it's Shrimp Pasta.

This park was scary. Its in a really old, bad part of town. I wasn't comfortable walking around in the park, and absolutely wasn't comfortable in the neighborhood. The park is the closest to Busch Gardens, but I would rather stay somewhere farther away that is nicer. Most of the residents are full-time permanent, in trailers that are no longer mobile. The park was noisy at night, with some pretty loud late parties, and a fight. The owner is hard of hearing, so this doesn't bother him. I wouldn't stay there again. The lots are level, and of good size. We camped at Tampa RV Park (formerly Camp Nebraska) in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the "closest" park to Busch Gardens. It is on Nebraska Ave, hence the name. Stayed here for one month. Campground is mostly permanent residents, living in barely mobile units. The hosts were extremely rude on the few times I had to deal with them. The Manager is only there a few times a week, and albeit a nice guy had no intentions of improvements. The park is actually behind the "old" entrance and set off Bougainvillea Ave. The "cool" old part is listed as for sale. The neighborhood this park is in is NOT good. We were afraid to walk around even in the daytime. There is no enforcement of a speed limit in the park, and the perms think they run the place. overall this is the last place in Tampa I would ever stay again. We camped at Tampa RV Park (formerly Camp Nebraska) in a Motorhome.
