This is definitely a high-end resort. The RVs here are the kind folks drool over at RV shows, and the sites for sale range from $40,000 for a concrete pad to $800,000 for a residence that has a RV garage that's nicer than my house. Add to that an onsite golf course, driving range, RV repair and supplies facility, chapel, two restaurants, cart rentals and repair, activities galore, and so on, and it's hard not to be satisfied. One night we just happened to wander in to a lecture on the resident alligator population, which was as good as anything we've seen done by National Park Rangers! The staff are so helpful and friendly it's almost to make one feel self-conscious. True, one can quibble with traffic on the main thoroughfare (we stayed there and it's not bad), the lack of WiFi and cable TV, the size of the facility, and there's some merit to such criticisms. But in my estimation, such things only drop it from a 10 to a 9. We will definitely be back. We camped at The Great Outdoors RV Nature & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.
Great location for Kennedy Space Center, Police Hall of Fame, Warbird Museum, and other Space Coast attractions.

This is a very nice, clean and well run park. If I was looking to buy a lot this park would get extreme consideration in my decision. The fact that this area is also a nature preserve allows for great animal viewing. During our stay, wild boar, bobcat, turkey, deer, lots of different birds and alligators were sighted. Stayed here the month of February. Great location to local attractions. Clean park and very secure. Not very dog friendly. Has a dog park, but residents dictate which aggressive dogs are allowed. My Golden Retriever was attacked by a local dog so we stopped using the park. Nothing handled to our satisfaction. Residents push it off as normal. Don't know if I would classify this resort as a campsite it's more of a retirement community with local residents. In a month met very few people. We would never purchase here. Situated between a couple of sanitary districts near the front. If the wind blows a certain direction the odor is a little strong blowing in. We camped at The Great Outdoors RV Nature & Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
Try to find sites deep into the resort. The traffic on Plantation near the front is as bad as any busy local street.

The rate we paid was a weekly rate with a 1 day free coupon added to it. Excellent place to stay while visiting the Kennedy Space Center. The sites are large and paved. The only negative I have about this place is that I thought it was a high price for not having wifi at the site or cable tv. The site I had the electric and sewer was in the far back of the site and I needed an extension to my 15 ft sewer hose and an extension for my 25 ft 50 amp cord. The place is very clean and well kept and I would stay here again if in the area. We camped at The Great Outdoors RV Nature & Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, $8 senior haircuts at Veronica (east on Hwy 50), Aldi, Walmart close by.

What can you say it's the Great Outdoors. It's a wonderful place to stay. The space coast is near by and there are lot of attractions for day trips. The facilities, pool, hot tubs, showers, fitness rooms, restrooms are all first class. The rate reflects a buy 2 nights get 1 free special. We stayed five nights (including 1 night free with their coupon). This is the third time we have stayed there. The campground is perfect for our needs--very well maintained sites, excellent security, very nature oriented (this time, six deer ate grass around our site every day). Walking through any part of the community is a nature walk. Our main destination outside the park has been the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge,on the coast, less than 20 minutes away. The Canaveral National Seashore and Cape Kennedy are right there, too. This place is really a bargain for the amenities, as far as we're concerned. Antenna reception was fine for us. We don't have internet needs, so no problem there. We camped at The Great Outdoors RV Nature & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.Undo

They have a huge piece of property and are still filling it up. It must have been a mile in, just on the access road. It was not geared for transient campers, as it required a long drive to get anywhere. Then when you get somewhere there was little parking for autos. Poor channel selection on the cable and no Wi-Fi that I could find. It's a very nice place but not set up for short-term campers. Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $40.00
This place claims to be a Premier RV resort, but it falls short. This is all owner owned lots and they rent the spaces out when the owners are not there. There is no WiFi and the cable channel selection is horrible. About 1/2 are Spanish channels. Minus a star for no WiFi, minus a star for poor cable. We had a bag of dog poop that was hung on the campsite pole when we arrived and the maintenance guys would take the garbage, but not the bagged dog poop for our entire 4 day stay. Also be aware many of the amenities and activities are seasonal, so you won't be able to take advantage of many of them if you are there in the summer. The $40 rate is based on a months stay. Park Review data is wrong. There is Wi-Fi but it is not very good. This ownership park is very good. Lots to do. You can read about that on other reviews or their web site. Here are some things you should know. You are thirty minutes to an Ocean Beach. Kennedy Space Center 20 minutes. Orland about an hour. I had two problems with the place. First of all, they have not met a tree they don't like. It took twenty minutes to fit our 40 foot between the trees so the slides and door would open. This is not for most of the sites. We just got lucky. A lot of the trees on our site were Pine. Request a site that does not have these as the tree sap is impossible to remove, and the tree droppings make the site a mess. They maintain their own sewer treatment plant. Twice during our stay the odor backed up into our tanks and then into our RV. Make sure you don't dump completely. I left about one quarter full and had no odor problem. But this is a great park, security is very good. We camped at The Great Outdoors RV Nature & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.Undo

Rate reflects we used a 'one free night' coupon from their web site. This is a destination site for snowbirds owning their own sites. Excellent paved sites, landscaped, with garbage pick-up. If you're headed up or down I-95, consider this as an excellent stopover. We camped at The Great Outdoors RV Nature & Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

This place is the absolute gold standard. 10 stars! Quiet at night, great place to bike, walk, or run. Golf course on site, restaurant and bar on site. $6 bingo was great on Tuesdays. It does last 3 hours though so get ready for a long session. You can see little alligators swimming in the local ponds. This would be the place to retire when the time comes. Everyone was very friendly. Realize that there is no Wi-Fi at your site, you'll have to go the parking lot outside the office to get, but they do have a little tent there with some tables and chairs. Wi-Fi there was very strong. We camped at The Great Outdoors RV Nature & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.Undo

One of the best parks we have stayed at in 20 years of camping. Sites are individually owned but rented thru TGO Resort. Sites are clean, spacious, and all hook-ups worked well. Clean restrooms and laundry. The permanent residents make you feel very welcome. Hope we get to visit again. We stayed on Fawn Trail. This is really one of the nicest parks we have stayed in. All utilities worked well. The sites vary in size and extras depending on how much the owner spends there. We had one with a live oak, which for my money is nice to look at but too messy. There is a golf course on premise which the owners just bought and is challenging. My wife and I found it a little unfriendly, which may be a result of different owners. One major problem for us was the cell phone and air card reception. It is known in the park and as I found out by Verizon that it is poor. We had an ongoing battle with Verizon and tried to improve it but no one seems to care. It will be the primary reason we will not return We camped at The Great Outdoors RV Nature & Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

A very nice RV resort. They have a large development and tons of activities. There are mostly permanent residents, but many spaces are available to rent. The pads were concrete and grass grows up to them, so you don't track in too much dirt. The folks here are very friendly. We camped at The Great Outdoors RV Nature & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $61.00
An ownership park that is more a full function community than a typical RV park. Park was well maintained and landscaped. There was a nice laundry and shower facility. Our site was narrow and not easy to back our 40' motorhome into -- had to pay particular attention to the shed the owners had on the site. I question if any of the sites I saw could take a longer rig. No Wi-Fi which is totally ridiculous but there was cable TV. There are numerous amenities but as we were only there for two nights so we did not participate in any. Would stay again. We camped at The Great Outdoors RV Nature & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.Undo
