This is a park where all sites are owned. Some are just slabs to park on and others may have homes with RV covers. Some owners rent out. Rate was very reasonable. Had a beautiful site overlooking one of the small lakes. There is a restaurant and café on site. Also, has a service center on site. This was very helpful as my a/c wasn't working well. Eagle Service took care of everything by sending someone to diagnose at my site, handled all the extended warranty to have the a/c replaced and helped get a "chill grill" expedited to add on to the new a/c. Couldn't have had better care anywhere and all service was right on time. We camped at The Great Outdoors RV Nature & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

We were traveling with Adventure Caravans on a paid tour so I am not certain about the nightly rate.
We were parked in the rally area, a large parking lot with power and water. It was disappointing. However, the rest of the park has privately owned campsites, many with shelters. Some areas of the park have older structures. Some are brand new. From what we were told people coming in are assigned lots randomly, so there is no telling what area you will be in. There is a nice dog park. We camped at The Great Outdoors RV Nature & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

During the "snowbird" season rentals can be difficult to get for more then a short stay. Sites are large with plenty of room between sites and backing-in a large coach is not a problem in most areas. Full hook-ups, paved sites and roads. There's lots to do and shopping is close by. There is an on-site RV repair facility if you are having issues. The rates were for a monthly stay. We camped at The Great Outdoors RV Nature & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

On site 18 hole golf course, 2 swimming pools and spas, 2 restaurants, post office. Kennedy Space Center is within 15 miles, Disney World is less then an hours drive, good beaches are within a few miles drive, I95 is 3/4 mile away so access is easy.

This is a very large residence park with separate areas based on site amenities. Everything from large concrete pads to 3,500 sf homes with RV ports. All sites are owned, some for sale and quite a few in the rental pool. The first thing we noticed is how friendly all the permanent residents are. Many times we have seen clannish permanents. Every amenity you could imagine is here. All underground utilities and full hookups. Daily trash pickups at each site, two pools, a nice restaurant, the list is extensive. We camped at The Great Outdoors RV Nature & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

Have never been to a nicer park. Lots are owned by individuals and put in a rental pool when they are gone. Each lot is impeccably landscaped and more like a nice neighborhood. Rate was $55.75 a night, but they gave us the third night free so really is less than that if you stay more than two nights. Site was paved and long with a nice patio. We camped at The Great Outdoors RV Nature & Golf Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

They have two pools and some activity each night such as Bingo or a movie. On the grounds is an awesome RV repair shop. We had a real issue and they jumped right on it to get us back on the road. Two cafés within the park and a beauty shop. Gated community in a real peaceful place. Deer and cardinals were regular visitors. You are close enough to town and attractions such as the space center and Merritt Island, but really would be enjoyable if you never left the park.

This is definitely a high-end resort. The RVs here are the kind folks drool over at RV shows, and the sites for sale range from $40,000 for a concrete pad to $800,000 for a residence that has a RV garage that's nicer than my house. Add to that an onsite golf course, driving range, RV repair and supplies facility, chapel, two restaurants, cart rentals and repair, activities galore, and so on, and it's hard not to be satisfied. One night we just happened to wander in to a lecture on the resident alligator population, which was as good as anything we've seen done by National Park Rangers! The staff are so helpful and friendly it's almost to make one feel self-conscious. True, one can quibble with traffic on the main thoroughfare (we stayed there and it's not bad), the lack of WiFi and cable TV, the size of the facility, and there's some merit to such criticisms. But in my estimation, such things only drop it from a 10 to a 9. We will definitely be back. We camped at The Great Outdoors RV Nature & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice, clean and well run park. If I was looking to buy a lot this park would get extreme consideration in my decision. The fact that this area is also a nature preserve allows for great animal viewing. During our stay, wild boar, bobcat, turkey, deer, lots of different birds and alligators were sighted. Stayed here the month of February. Great location to local attractions. Clean park and very secure. Not very dog friendly. Has a dog park, but residents dictate which aggressive dogs are allowed. My Golden Retriever was attacked by a local dog so we stopped using the park. Nothing handled to our satisfaction. Residents push it off as normal. Don't know if I would classify this resort as a campsite it's more of a retirement community with local residents. In a month met very few people. We would never purchase here. Situated between a couple of sanitary districts near the front. If the wind blows a certain direction the odor is a little strong blowing in. We camped at The Great Outdoors RV Nature & Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Try to find sites deep into the resort. The traffic on Plantation near the front is as bad as any busy local street.

The rate we paid was a weekly rate with a 1 day free coupon added to it. Excellent place to stay while visiting the Kennedy Space Center. The sites are large and paved. The only negative I have about this place is that I thought it was a high price for not having wifi at the site or cable tv. The site I had the electric and sewer was in the far back of the site and I needed an extension to my 15 ft sewer hose and an extension for my 25 ft 50 amp cord. The place is very clean and well kept and I would stay here again if in the area. We camped at The Great Outdoors RV Nature & Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for a couple of nights to see the sights in the area. This place is enormous! It is primarily for long term or permanent residents. Not that friendly to short stay travelers as the amenities are not within walking distance of most of the sites. There are golf carts all over so the residents can get around the park to the amenities.

The park is easy to get to & from Interstate 95 via SR-50 (Cheney HWY).

The park is built on flat ground. There are several water features around. Some of them are homes to alligators. The interior roads are paved. The roads are sufficiently wide for two coaches to pass. The corners were easily to negotiate.

The sites are back ins/pull ins only. The sites had sufficient space for second vehicle. The sites were generally level. Privacy between the sites is created by space between the sites. They have full hook ups - water, electricity (50 AMP), & sewer connections. There was an outside table.

Although there were trees around the park, sites offered a view of the southern sky to get satellite reception. The cable connection required special equipment which was provided by the cable provider for residents. Don't know if the equipment would be provided for short stay residents.

No WiFi reception in the areas of the sites.

There seem to be a lot of long term residents.

There were several designated pet areas around the park. There was a fenced pet area as well but it was on the other side of the park from where we were so we didn't use it as it wasn't within walking distance. There was sufficient area to walk dogs along the park's road system. There were bag dispensers around the park to pick up waste.

For being in a hazardous/severe weather area, there was no underground storm shelter. None of the structures in the park were identified as a severe weather shelter.

Probably would return to this park if in the area. We camped at The Great Outdoors RV Nature & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

What can you say it's the Great Outdoors. It's a wonderful place to stay. The space coast is near by and there are lot of attractions for day trips. The facilities, pool, hot tubs, showers, fitness rooms, restrooms are all first class. The rate reflects a buy 2 nights get 1 free special. We stayed five nights (including 1 night free with their coupon). This is the third time we have stayed there. The campground is perfect for our needs--very well maintained sites, excellent security, very nature oriented (this time, six deer ate grass around our site every day). Walking through any part of the community is a nature walk. Our main destination outside the park has been the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge,on the coast, less than 20 minutes away. The Canaveral National Seashore and Cape Kennedy are right there, too. This place is really a bargain for the amenities, as far as we're concerned. Antenna reception was fine for us. We don't have internet needs, so no problem there. We camped at The Great Outdoors RV Nature & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

They have a huge piece of property and are still filling it up. It must have been a mile in, just on the access road. It was not geared for transient campers, as it required a long drive to get anywhere. Then when you get somewhere there was little parking for autos. Poor channel selection on the cable and no Wi-Fi that I could find. It's a very nice place but not set up for short-term campers. We camped at The Great Outdoors RV Nature & Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This place claims to be a Premier RV resort, but it falls short. This is all owner owned lots and they rent the spaces out when the owners are not there. There is no WiFi and the cable channel selection is horrible. About 1/2 are Spanish channels. Minus a star for no WiFi, minus a star for poor cable. We had a bag of dog poop that was hung on the campsite pole when we arrived and the maintenance guys would take the garbage, but not the bagged dog poop for our entire 4 day stay. Also be aware many of the amenities and activities are seasonal, so you won't be able to take advantage of many of them if you are there in the summer. We camped at The Great Outdoors RV Nature & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.
