This is an Encore park and I expected better from them. The roads are paved and so are the spots. The spots are one on top of the other with barely room to open the slide. The utilities are on the wrong side so the cords and hoses have to be drug under the camper. Site 391 is possibly the worst one. A huge tree in the back so you can only back up so far. Then the utility hook ups are honestly at your door. After plugging in, the power would not work until hubby wiggled the plug. There was no room for our car. We had to park in a neighbors spot. We brought this to the attention of the manager with no satisfaction. - esta34950

This is a "trailer park" that allows RVs. Old park with sites not designed for modern RVs such as sewer dumps found under trailer parking sites, electrical connections with face plates missing and open to the elements. - Scenic Cruiser

This park is VERY tight! Some of the sites were recently redone, and now are so close together when your neighbor puts out his/her slide, it encroaches on your patio. You pay for the use of a patio and grill and can't use it because of the RV next to you. The wifi is basically non-existent, even though they claim to have wifi. This park has no amenities and sits along a busy highway right in town. It is way overpriced. If there were amenities, I could understand the high cost, being in the city. There is a pet fee, with no dog park or any amenities for your pet. I would not recommend this park to anyone!!! - Mr Bates

park is small and tight. It is also in awful shape. - RV Club
Sep 2017 - $50.00
This park is so tight I could not leave until the extra parking lot cleared out so I could make the tight U-turn to leave the park. The staff parked a 5th wheel that was too big for the site on the inside corner. I had to wait for a site in front of me to clear out just to leave this place. I will never come back to this KOA! - CambucK

Been here many times and have seen a different in the past years. Water is low pressure and the power and get low also. It need upgrading. Power boxes are getting old. The trees need trimming so you do not scrape your rig. Pretty level spots. Nice area and just about the only place around to camp. - neilontheroad
Mar 2018 - $40.00
Paid $40/night plus 6% tax $42.40/night all-in. Online reservation system is quirky but it works. Required to pay 100% at time of reservation. Check in was fast and friendly. Upon entering the park, the office is the first thing you see. It has a sign clearly identifying it. There are two long parking spots on the right available for check-in but both spots curve making it tricky to get straight in order to unhook a toad (the DH managed to do it). Park staff suggested an alternate area to unhook or rehook (parking lot 22 across from entrance to camping area). If you opt for this, watch the trees. Suggest you enter/exit parking lot 22 using the second driveway which is a little bit past the campground turn. Our site was #15 which was plenty long for a 45' coach plus toad parked sideways. However this site is in the middle of the "u" of a horseshoe with the curve not particularly big rig friendly. We avoided the curve by driving to where the second horseshoe tip meets the road and backing all the way in (if that makes sense). It's not as far as it sounds and it worked perfectly. We had a lovely lake view through our big windshield. All hook-ups worked well. There was trash on our site (my pet peeve) including numerous cigarette butts (gross!). Our site had one good sized tree on each side but we were still able to obtain a DirecTV signal. Most sites seem fairly open but there are trees here and there which could obstruct a signal. We had 5 bars on Verizon. There are trash dumpsters conveniently located plus recycling bins. Showers were basically clean except for hair on walls and drain plus dead bugs and cobwebs on light fixtures. This is a slice of paradise inside a metropolitan area with trails for walking, running or biking. Neighbors were friendly. We discovered the max stay is 180 days and noticed some folks seemed settled in for the long haul. No wonder it's so hard to get a site. If in the area, we would be happy to stay here again. - GottaGoNow
Jan 2018 - $40.00
A very nice, huge park in a major metro area. We really enjoyed the park with several miles of walking/biking trails. The campground itself is laid out kind of strange though. Many of the pull throughs are in very tight loops which may make getting a big rig in and out a bit tough. Sites 23 thru 37 are decent, but overal, the back in sites are much better. We preferred the north section which looks to be newer. Sites 61-74 being our favorites. Lots to do in the park and an excellent location to stock up on supplies. The park does get pretty busy and noisy on the weekends. We won't hesitate to stay here again when in the area. - Jerry and Betsy

Large Broward county park with lake & lots of activity opportunities. Clean facilities and interior roads (once you get to the campground ), but the road into the park and the confusing signage to get you to the campground is tricky. Some of the utility hookups are at the end of the long sites, I saw rigs with as many as 7 sewer hose sections to reach the septic hook up. Busy snowbird park. - rvrrat520
Dec 2016 - $42.00
Good news first: excellent office and security staff who checked me in after dark. Miami traffic prevented arrival before 5 pm.
Bad news: train noise made sleep impossible. The trains right next to RV park DO RUN at night and only stopped blowing horn after 2:30 am and I was there on a Monday night. Horns started up again at 6:30 AM. This alone would make me never stay here again but a security issue, unidentified man in woman's washroom while I was in there makes returning 100% impossible.
Also it is very unsafe to return to the park after 6 pm because they require you to enter the EXIT lanes which are very narrow. The park has few lights and poor signage so call in advance if arriving after dark, which is 5:30 pm in December. - imagardener
Nov 2016 - $40.00
This is a Broward County Park located in Hollywood, FL, about 5 miles from the beach. It is a very nice campground. The driveways and site pads are asphalt in good condition. Each site has a large concrete patio, picnic table and a grill. It's located next to the lake and alongside a walking/biking path that takes you throughout the park grounds. The bathrooms are in good condition and are kept clean. In fact, everything is very clean and well maintained. There is free WiFi that worked OK. There are trash and recycle containers conveniently located throughout the park. There is a communications tower located right next door so we had a strong AT&T 4G signal, -85dBm. We paid $40 per night. - Coopsecondact

The park is directly in the flight path of Ft. Lauderdale airport. Planes start about 6am and don't end until about 10am. the planes are so low it cuts out the TV signal!!! No laundry, no restrooms and what are supposed to be cute Palm Fron shaded "huts" have no roof and just the frame is sitting there. This is where you go when you have no where else to go. I should have listened to the older reviews on this place, they are clearly the only honest ones. - RV maniac
Feb 2017 - $30.00
I stayed at this park from May 2016 until February 2017. I am a construction worker and had a project in Port Everglades. This park deserves a 9 or a 10 due to the owner and her commitment to her guests. The park is clean and well maintained. We had absolutely no problems with the park or the staff. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations. I gave the park an 8 because of the airport primarily. It is probably unfair to down rate it just for that reason but it is a significant inconvenience. I joked about there being wheel marks on top of my trailer. Those planes come in low and loud. They generally stop by 11pm and do not typically restart until after 5am but there are times when there are flights overnight and those can be annoying. I would/will stay here again even knowing what I know. I paid the off season rate because of the time of year that I got here. Our cost did not change just because the season changed and the snowbirds started flocking in. The owner told me up front that my rate would stay consistent during my stay. She could have been greedy but she wasn't and that's honorable. The yard guys come around once every couple of weeks and her maintenance guy is in there cleaning up and looking after the place. She does not let the yard guys start at the crack of dawn which is respectful. I would absolutely stay here again. I absolutely recommend this park. - jeffj

This is a large park, with many permanent sites. Very small sites, all paved. It is located in a highly industrialized area of Ft. Lauderdale, surrounded by scrap metal yards, lift rentals, etc. Most of the traffic on the road to the park is dump trucks and it is surrounded by highways. It is also located directly under the runway approach for landing aircraft to Ft. Lauderdale airport. On the good side, it was fairly friendly, the Wi-Fi was mostly OK, although it was intermittent at times. It is centrally located, so you can get to wherever you want to go fairly well. What I found most interesting is that English is the minority language. It is overwhelmingly French Canadian. - gsgroff

If you enjoy sitting at the departure end of a major airport and hearing screaming jets fly over every few minutes, then this place is for you! In addition, we were given site S4, which is one of the sites right up against busy Burris Road. Let me out of here! Thankfully, it was only a 3-night stay, and I have no idea how the hundreds of Canadian folks can live here for weeks or months. The woman who "greeted" us at the front gate was not at all friendly, and I'm sure she won't mind that we'll never be back. Sites for RV's were very tight, although the concrete pad was nice and level. Water pressure was extremely high - don't forget your regulator. 50-amp power was adequate. Verizon reception was great, and a strong picnic table was available at most sites. Bathrooms were very nice, and clean, but the showers did not provide shelves or benches for items I would want to take with me. The laundry machines required that you purchase a $5.00 card and charge it at their machine - no thanks, I'll wait for the next stop! There was a nice walking/biking path along nearby Orange Drive that we enjoyed. Good grocery stores and other services were fairly close by. I'm sorry, but I fail to find anything about this park that warrants $65 per day. Oh, here comes another jet - gotta go! - LowesTravels
Jan 2014 - $60.00
Sites are small, close together. Most are permanent or semi-permanent. The location is convenient to the highways, in an industrial area. It is also directly under the landing path for Ft. Lauderdale airport, so there is a continuous stream of jets overhead. At our site, the WIFI was mostly OK. Water was good. Staff was friendly. It is a very popular place for Quebecois, so many of the guests here are French speaking. Kind of a culture shock, but interesting! This is not necessarily a negative, just an observation. - gsgroff
Mar 2013 - $60.00
Staff are very helpful and can provide lots of info for the area even if they don't appear to love their jobs. The website and site brochure are a bit misleading as the 8 laundry locations have been reduced to 3 and some other facilities have changed. The park is on the flight path for the airport which can be very busy. They park is generally well maintained especially in the large area occupied by the seasonal Quebec population. Most signs in the park are only in French. Wi-Fi is okay and they offer RV storage. We would stay again if in the area for a short time. - lrp374

Very tired looking campground. Our site was appropriately spaced. Wifi was really slow and only 2 devices per site. Staff were very helpful. Don't arrive early as they may charge you. Laundry is only half working with half of everything broken. I would stay again if I was in the area. It was quite. Had a turtle that you could feed. The buildings were old. - Aussie Chums
Feb 2018 - $80.00
On short notice, in high season, we needed an RV campsite to visit my dying brother in law. Everywhere I called no one had any openings. The staff at the Davie KOA went above and beyond to help us. They actually called me back to set us up for the first night and then continued to help until they had us settled for the duration of our stay. Many heartfelt thanks to great people. The campground itself is not large. They had some damage from most recent hurricane so their dog park was out of commission and they were doing work on damaged sites. The sites are close together but even with that we didn't have any noise issues. The main road through is one way which can get held up with campers pulling in and out. Everything was clean and their activities were in full swing. We have a 39 foot motorhome with slides. The campground is very conveniently located to shopping, restaurants and to Cleveland Clinic hospital. - cdr1182

Nice staff. Facilities are aged and tight. Had to move my vehicle multiple times for rigs to get into and out of sites. Laundry machines are aged. Pool aged. - NJ-Montana

Mar 2018 - $65.00
Sites are close together, but then again we are close to Ft. Lauderdale and surrounding cities. Site backed up to a canal and amazing yachts passing all day. Streets are tight and very "rolling" so your RV will be rocking in and out. No place to hook up the tow vehicle so everyone backs up and blocks the exit road so the locals get aggravated. Most sites are occupied by winter seasonal residents and we definitely felt like outsiders. We waved, they looked and turned away. That said, the office staff were very nice. - Russell01
Jan 2018 - $78.00
Was able to secure a last minute reservation in Jan for 4 nights after a mix-up at the KOA. That was a God-send. Park is adjacent to I-95 with a good amount of road noise. Turned the AC fan on at night and mitigated it. Park is built around a marina. Paid for a water-front site, but had one of the largest privately owned boats that I have ever seen parked at the dock immediately behind our RV, so no water view at all, though did have a boardwalk to walk on. Roads in this park are terrible. Speedbumps difficult to navigate in an RV and patholes galore, expecially on the road out of the park. Seem to be many permanent RVs in the park, though most in good condition. Convenient to interstates 95 and 75/595 and shopping is nearby. When exiting the park, can only turn right so going to the beaches requires a u-turn up the street. Overall, a satisfactory stay, but nothing to be excited about. Getting the last minute reservation was a savior though. - NC Bill

pool not functional, cold not heated, need water shoes to swim because of braking apart in bottom, only four old (4) showers for the entire park, dirty, old, slow water pressure, etc.. sites extremely small, cannot open awning to full extent or extension slide outs, mud when raining, no place for primary vehicle, etc.. peut traduire en français.... pas une belle place pour des vacances, pischine non fonctionnelle, ni chauffée, très vieille pour meme utiliser des chaussures de plages, 4 douches suelement pour 250 sites, sales, vieuilleux, sans pouvoir d'eaux, etc. pas de place pour le véhicule principal . Dec 2010 - $24.00
This RV campground sets on the Everglades and has permit residents that live here year round. We had picked this park, because my husband was working close to the area. We could not sleep from the noise at night from the radios till way late at night, cars opening and closing doors and loud trucks running up and down the road in the park. The air boats of course would start out at 6 in the morning so no sleep from that, also the laundry was not working when we arrived and then after we looked at it, I would not wash my clothes in them since they were not clean. The bathhouses were not any better, which we used our camper shower and bathroom. This is not a family friendly RV park to me, I would not let my children wander around park. We talked to several other RV parks and they also gave us a bad review on this park. The only other reason stayed here it is snowbird season and all the parks have filled up for the winter. - disneyfan1
