Rate is Florida senior half price, base price. This is a peaceful park with plenty of green space for dog walking, and convenient to the intersection of I-75 and I-10. Our site was very close to the playground and restroom building but had lots of privacy with foliage on both sides. Saw a Coral Snake in our site in the early evening. We camped at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in a Motorhome.

Rate is Florida resident and senior discount..Stayed a week on site 36...Nice long pull through. A very nice museum and gift shop. The tower was having electric issues so no carols while we were there. Several geocaches in the park that we found...Beautiful park with lovely spring house history overlooking the dried up Suwanee River. Would stay again. We camped at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This state park is beautiful. Very big. Was their during Christmas and they had Christmas light and events all over the park. The only down side to this park is the town of White Springs is very tiny, really nothing there. The park is located on the Suwannee River and the river was literally dry. It was a sour sight to see. We camped at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very well maintained state park. The sites are large and level with very wide approaches for backing in. When we arrived our site was very clean and raked to look like nobody has ever been there before. The only complaint I have about the site is that it is a course sand that sticks to your shoes and is tracked everywhere. AT&T cell and Verizon data worked good. We camped at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very pretty, quiet 'manicured wilderness'. Stayed in a very long pull through. Site was raked before we arrived and sites were being raked as we left. Lots of space with varying amounts of vegetation between sites. Beautiful Carillon plays Stephen Foster melodies on the hour during the day. Many hiking trails - did not get to all of them in the three days. Canoe rentals were not available - water was too low to put in. Huge number of lighted Christmas displays were being put up and lit up on some nights. Museum and tower contained interesting historical displays/info. We camped at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

White Springs is tiny, not much to see/do there. Dogs allowed on hiking trails and dogs were well mannered. Poop bag stations are scattered throughout the park. Check the parks calendar for special events every month!

42' 5er. Easy in and out and no problems navigating in park. Beautiful Oaks with Spanish hanging moss everywhere. Our site was huge. Most sites are private. Hiking and biking trails. Lots of ticks if you go on the trails. Tower unusual: Why Here?

Christmas lights galore if you like that kind of thing (seasonal). We camped at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Large state park with spacious campsites. Some well shaded and some in the sun. We like to stop there because it is close to I-75 making nice stop-over that has nice clean restrooms and showers. Laundry to boot, so we can arrive home without that chore facing us. The Carillon - world's largest tubular bell - plays Stephen Foster songs on the hour. The Stephen Foster Museum is a "must see", too. We camped at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Excellent well maintained quiet campground and park. Facilities are good and staff is great. Sites are mostly shaded, level gravel, a couple close together. The cultural part of this experience is awesome. Several events held throughout the year. Check the schedule for those of interest. Well maintained museum, carillon, store and craft demos. Good hiking/biking trails, gazebo by the Suwannee River. Close by is Big Shoals SP with a different view of the river and plenty of hiking/biking. We camped at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in a Motorhome.

We really enjoyed both the campground and the park itself at Stephen Foster. We reserved a specific spot online. Check-in at the main entrance was quick and easy. The staff at all locations throughout the part was very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed this park. We camped at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in a Motorhome.

There are enough attractions at this park to keep anyone busy for at least a few days. The carillon tower tolls the hours and periodically plays selections of Stephen Fosters music. It is quiet at night though. The museum is not large, but it is interesting, and on some days they have live music with local performers playing period instruments. There is also a crafts and gift shop, and a crafts village where artisans work on their specialties. The hiking trails are extensive and interesting, including a section of the "Florida Trail" that parallels the Suwanee River. Our pull-thru campsite was spacious and separated from other sites by foliage, although other sites could still be seen. The hookups were well placed, and the tree cover was sparse enough that we had no problem getting a satellite signal with our portable dish. Verizon voice and data cell service was moderately strong and worked well. We plan to return again next winter. We camped at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in a Motorhome.

We spend one night at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center. We arrive fairly late and for us, we found that the directions to the campground could use some improvement.

The campground itself is VERY clean and well kept. When we arrived at the site, the gravel had been raked and the leaves blown off the parking area. The site was 100' long with plenty of room for both the 40' class A and our toad.

At our site, we had only 30 amp service and water available. There is a dump site near the exit. We camped at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in a Motorhome.

Three loops with 7 pull throughs, and 38 back in sites all wide most with some bushes between. The surface was dirt-sand-gravel. Some sites with wooden borders. Paved roads. The price was $22 with tax/nite, but reservations was $6.70 so cost was $28.70/nite. It is a nice CG per se, and the real draw is the lovely Tall Carillon with its tubular bells that are played automatically through out the day. Exhibits show the history of Stephen Foster, his songs, the resort town of White Springs, the spring house, the construction of the carillon and the bells and a museum with old pianos, paintings, and dioramas. There is a large gift shop with musical instruments, in season craft shops, and monthly events. Canoes are rented to use on the Suwannee river and extensive hiking trails. A great place to visit. We camped at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in a Motorhome.

This is one of Florida's parks that thy decorate with lights at Christmas. The sites are cleaned after the campers leave. There are both shaded and open sites. They have back in sites and pull through. They also have cabins that are fully furnished with linen and dishes. We have stayed here several times over the Christmas holidays. Great place for kids to ride bikes. We camped at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the nicest state park we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. Not one bad site here. We are in a 100' very level pull through site surrounded by palm trees. It is a beautiful park and very well maintained. Access was easy off the interstate and the interior roads are easy to maneuver for our 40' fifth wheel. They have 50 amp available, but we stayed in a 30 amp due to late arrival. We camped at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Wow, what a great State Park. We spent only one night on our way across Florida but it would be worth making a special trip to stay at this park.

Whoever is in charge here is a stickler for details. Everything from the welcome, to the grounds, to the sites to the bathhouses was fantastic.

This is the prototype for how to make a great State Park. Well, worth the 9+ rating. If you are nearby Lake City, Florida make it a point to stop and stay here. We camped at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a museum, small craft shops, bike rentals and such on the well-kept grounds here. There was a wedding going on the day we were there and everyone was invited to attend. There's not much to the town but with a park this great that's OK.

All month during December they turn the park into a Christmas wonderland and folks drive thru and take hay rides, etc. Seems to be a pretty big deal.
