Dec 2017 - $35.00
We stayed here several days checking out the area as a potential snowbird destination. This is an Active 55+ park/ resort. Campsite was not ideal. The hookups were at the very rear of the park model behind the site. The site was not very level and tree made it a little tight. Water, power, and sewer were all fine. Having said all that, this park was AWESOME. There are some sites, but mostly all park models. The snowbirds here are very friendly and this park has a ton of stuff planned to keep you as busy as you want to be.They have an exercise room and Hot Tub as well as a heated pool. The park is also very flat and great for walking or biking. Roads were marked well but some were quite narrow. We will definitely return to this park. - jeffs
Jan 2017 - $34.00
We have been full-timing for almost ten years now and the people (both the residents and the staff) are among the friendliest we have met anywhere. They have a great activity staff and frequent live entertainment. The location is local to mostly small businesses in Zephyrhills, and a half hour from Tampa. We've been there four times now, over two seasons. All that said, it's pretty tight with a big rig. If you have a big rig and don't mind the road noise, ask for a spot in the front (along Chancey). - melissabrvs
Apr 2014 - $29.00
We stayed here three weeks at the weekly rate of $200 including full hookups. Wi-Fi available for a fee. We were placed on an interior site so highway noise was minimal. Office staff was pleasant and park offered lots of activities to chose from. Monthly rate posted about $565 plus electric. All interior streets are scheduled to be repaved starting this month. - Destinations
Feb 2011 - $30.00
Nice park but highway noise from Rte 301. Management is very difficult and rude. Tenants have told horror stories. They sway pet friendly, but only if they like your pet!! Will not stay again until new management arrives. - lesashubby
Jan 2011 - $30.00
Management is rude to seniors and inept at repairs. They like to play favorites. Nice park, but it need new chiefs!! - lesashubby
Jan 2016 - $19.00
This is a Carefree park with mixed units about two thirds permanent and the rest RV sites. The management is responsive, the park is older but well maintained and clean. The sites are about 25X60 and quite close together. Everyone seemed friendly and they have a lot of activities. The pool is covered, there is a decent on-site laundry. The rate shown is the monthly rate. While the park is "pet friendly" you are presented with a page and a half of single spaced rules for pets. I would rate it more pet tolerant. Cable and WiFi are available from a contractor and aren't cheap. - shenandoahvalley2
Jan 2009 - $26.00
Park is lovely. Winter residents are very nice and friendly - made us feel very welcome. New pool - great! Will not return, however, because of the current management team. they are two very nasty people. He will yell and scream even while he is parking you in your site. This park is owned by a corporation and we couldn't understand why they keep this management team here. Talk to the winter residents and none likes them. Careful if you reserve here. If you do, avoid the managers at all costs!! - Sophia2
Nov 2016 - $18.00
This is our 1st winter here at Hillcrest. Lots of activities here. Wide roads to maneuver rigs and people are very friendly. Close to shopping, hospitals, but far enough from big cities to be close to the country side. We will return next year. - Bradsr
Feb 2016 - $18.00
Hillcrest is not a real RV park or a resort by any stretch of the imagination. And it is not "Premiere" as their ad stated. The vast majority of the almost 500 sites are permanent park models or enclosed older RVs. It is a 55+ community with an average age well over 75. If you have an RV, you will back in on grass. No concrete pad, no picnic table, no fire ring and no grill. Nothing much for what it cost. Only propane grills are allowed. We will never go back as we found it depressing as there are few activities in that area of Florida. - SewSoBeachy
Nov 2011 - $31.00
Hillcrest is not really an RV park. I don't know why they call it that. It is a 55+ park model community. There are some RVs that stay in it in the winter months. Most are very old and run down. All sites are back-in. It is a little depressing to say the least. People are friendly and there are plenty of activities. We would not return. - bsnmobs
Jul 2012 - $30.00
This is a really cozy RV Park. Sites are large and level grassy sites with full hook-ups (30-amp) and plenty of space in between. All of the facilities are well-maintained and clean. Other guests/residents were all friendly and seemed quite happy. - bcbounders
Nov 2016 - $30.00
We loved our stay at Happy Days. The park was very clean and quite. The residents were happy and friendly. The site was roomy and very easy to pull into. - RV 05 - pk_
Mar 2005 - $15.00
We thought this was a decent place to stay...until we explored surrounding areas and found Spanish Main. It made this place pale in comparison! - Christine621
Jan 2005 - $19.00
Park management very rude and unfriendly. We were accosted at the gate and told that our dogs were to big. 20 lb limit. Nothing was mentioned at reservation time. Not adequate space to walk pets. We left after one night after being verbally abused by the manager several times. - epperson1
Mar 2018 - $23.00
We stayed for 1 month for $675 which included water, septic, electric, cable, and garbage. This is 55+ community with a mixture of park models and RV's. The lots for RV's are VERY spacious and wide open with sun, and have a large concrete pad ( @50' long) at all sites. The roads within the park are paved, and are greatly used to walk or bicycle within the park. VERY clean and maintained.
Unlimited activities with tennis courts, horseshoes, pickle ball, shuffle board, community building and game room. On site laundry. Numerous daily activities with cards, poker, bingo, etc. and game nights. Swimming pool was clean. Residents and others were super friendly, and I would definitely recommend this park for long or short term stay.
Park is big rig friendly. Roads are well marked and easily manuverable.
Only negative is there is a cement plant that is at the one end of the park. VERY NOISY during the day and into evening. (They must have a 2nd shift working there.) LOTS of dust/sand from it: but it was tolerable and still could enjoy being outside.
Park empties out in early April with snowbirds heading out. - RiversedgePA
Jan 2017 - $28.00
This is a Sun RV park with mostly park models an a few real RVs. Our FHU site was at the end of the road and very private. The park has a large club house, pool and other recreational areas. - Hey You
Jan 2017 - $23.00
Stayed here while visiting my snow-bird brother & sister-in-law who are residents. Made reservations well in advance as there were very few sites available for short-term visitors. This campground is a snow-bird destination. Nice friendly office staff. We were parked way in the back of the property, but a nice back-in site with good 50-amp (only) power. If you are 30-amp, you'll need a dog-bone 50 to 30 amp reducer. Good over the air TV reception. Park your RV on the grass and not on the concrete patio! Your tow / Toad parks on the concrete. Plenty of activities at the campground clubhouse. - thetravelkids
