The Park was very quaint with only 46 RV spots. The Saturday night happy hour was lovely. All the guests John Ned together for s'mores and appetizers provided by the park. The spread was great and a good time was had by all, especially our two boys 7 and 10. They now have an enclosed dog park which was great for our pups. The large dog walk areas were also nice. They also offer free 18 hole golf, disk golf, and foot golf complementary to your stay. The hosts were warm and friendly and made us all feel very welcome. We will visit again for sure. We typically limit our stays in middle Georgia to fall - spring due to the summer knatz. We camped at Americus KOA (formerly Brickyard Plantation Golf Club & RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

I gave this campground an average rating for several reasons. While the park was very nice, the cost was excessive in my view for the services available and I come to expect from KOA. There was no cable and very few over-the air stations you can get. If on one end of the campground the only dumpster is considerably afar. They have a meeting building on the park and the only place you can get Wi-Fi, but not on your parking lots. The city of Americus is about 7 miles away. The staff was friendly and gives a nice packet of local attractions. But with the excessive cost and services offered, this is a park I wouldn't stay again. We camped at Americus KOA (formerly Brickyard Plantation Golf Club & RV Park) in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We stayed her one night on our way north/west to allow a visit the next morning to the Jimmy Carter NM. Now that the park is KOA, our Good Sam discount was not honored - after some cajoling, however, we got another discount - great. Rate was a bit high, but we wanted to be close to Plains, and there aren't many options in the area. Sites are on gravel in a treeless field. That said, despite monsoon-like rain overnight, everything drained perfectly. Bathrooms were very clean with a/c. There is a very functional a/c'd exercise room. WiFi is said to be available in the "quaint" clubhouse. A round of golf is included in the rate - but we don't golf. We camped at Americus KOA (formerly Brickyard Plantation Golf Club & RV Park) in a Motorhome.

This campground is now a KOA and it very nice and clean. All sites pull through and our site was nice and shady in the late afternoon. Clean Laundry area and exercise room. Immaculate restrooms. They have a nice golf course and they were offering free golf on Saturday ($10 if you rented a golf cart). Also frisby golf. Only downside is limited wifi, limited to clubhouse area. We camped at Americus KOA (formerly Brickyard Plantation Golf Club & RV Park) in a Travel Trailer.

Decent place for an overnight. We had a level, gravel spot. The RV park is a separate entrance than the golf course. The park host greeted us at the entrance after talking with his buddy. He lead us to our spot. It had a nice pond and open area for us to swim and run our dog. We camped at Americus KOA (formerly Brickyard Plantation Golf Club & RV Park) in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 3 nights. We wanted to tour the Jimmy Carter Historical Sites in Plains. This is a very nice park. The campground host met us as we drove in and led us to our site. Nice long spacious pull-through sites with well placed utilities. It's a very pleasant, quiet setting. Lots of areas to walk. It's right on a golf course. We'd definitely stay here again. This park is a fair way off Rt 75, but is ideal for seeing the Plains GA area. It is a beautiful rural/country setting with a lot of trees and a small man-made pond. The restrooms are modern and very clean. There is a camp store, but no propane is available. The staff and host were very friendly and helpful. There is no cable TV or WIFI at the sites, but there is a nice community building with WIFI and 2 TVS (satellite), a large dining area, kitchen and large porch overlooking the pond. The sites are good sized, but are in an open field. I think they would be pretty hot on warm days, because there is no shade. What a nice park! There are areas that could use some paint, but overall, it's a great place to stay - especially if you're a golfer. The workers are very friendly and helpful. We were escorted to our site and then given a ride to the office to register. We camped at Americus KOA (formerly Brickyard Plantation Golf Club & RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects Passport America discount. Very long, spacious sites on grass/gravel. Good 50-amp power but low water pressure. Free washing, $2 to dry. This is a great park if your a golfer. When paying the full rate, your green fees are included with the space rent. Some long-term folks who like to drive very fast down the gravel road stirring up dust. We were allowed to wash our rig. We would return. We camped at Americus KOA (formerly Brickyard Plantation Golf Club & RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Lots of room and very friendly, helpful people. It's a great place if you're a golfer (green fees included). They need to cut the grass. The bathroom and laundry are modern, clean and well-maintained and the sites are spacious, long and level. A majority of the sites are open but there are some shaded also. We had good cellphone reception and there was a WiFi hotspot available though we did not use it. If you are interested in seeing the sights in this area we recommend staying here. This is a decent little park with 3 nine-hole golf courses. Convenient to Andersonville and the Jimmy Carter Historical site among other local attractions. Sites are gravel or grass, and ours was long and level. Most are in the open but there is some shade. Bath house is modern and clean but could use better ventilation. No cable but the antenna picked up a few local stations. Wi-Fi is located in a building and not at sites. The in-season (fall, winter spring) rates include greens fees and are very reasonable. Staff is friendly and helpful. There is good shopping in town, about 5 miles away. We camped at Americus KOA (formerly Brickyard Plantation Golf Club & RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

We were looking forward to staying here for as few days and playing golf but I require wi-fi in my RV at my site. When I called the manager told me they had a “hot spot” but may be able to get connected if I had the right site. When I arrived the manager led me to the prime spot but I could not get connected. I thank her and moved on. The park looked about 10% filled and the golf course appeared to be a nice one.
