This was a one night stay on our way to Myrtle Beach. We had a back-in stone site with a concrete pad. There are a lot of long termers but all of their units were in good condition. We only talked with the staff on the phone and our confirmation and site map came by email. Good for a stay over. We camped at Heritage RV Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This RV park is the kind of place where you are either there as a long term resident, or you just need a place to park your RV. The upside to staying at Heritage: The park itself is very clean and does have easy access full hookups & concrete patios (the parking spaces are gravel). It's not extremely close to downtown, but with the interstate close by, it was fairly easy to get to the downtown historic district without an issue (besides, there really aren't many RV parks around Augusta). Another positive, the Augusta Mall is only about 2 miles away (as well as other shopping and dining). Unfortunately, there were some downsides as well: Unless you are a fulltime resident, you are going to be located in a field without any shade. Also, there are a lot of fire ant hills... LOTS OF FIRE ANT HILLS. We didn't spend a lot of time outside due to the heat (and lack of shade even with the awning open), but fire ants were all over - luckily, I sprayed the camper prior to our trip so we didn't deal with any getting inside, but we did get bitten a few times while we were outdoors. While we didn't need them, there are no amenities such as bathrooms, bathhouse, or laundry. The office is only open from 1 - 5... and they are sticklers about this. The worst part, however, was when we went to park. The desk person showed us to our spot and we thanked him and told him we could take care of it from there. As I was helping my partner back in (via the phone), he jumped off of his golf cart and started banging hard on the truck windows telling her she was on the patio (she was not... she was straight in and about 10 inches from the concrete pad). He yelled over me several times telling her how to park even though we were perfectly in place. Even though he was standing beside the truck & I was behind it and could see everything, he insisted that she pull up and re-do it twice. He was a nice guy, but I just found his behavior very rude and uncalled for. We camped at Heritage RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stay here when we visit our daughter here in Augusta. Very clean and quiet only about a mile off Interstate 20. Staff is very friendly and escort you to your site and help you back in. This is definitely our go to place here. We camped at Heritage RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

A very lovely park. We're here for seasonal contract work but there are many who come for overnights or weekly. The park is very well kept, nice landscaping, and plenty of space between sites. Most have concrete patios (although not ours) and aluminum picnic tables. Roads are wide and easy to get around. Although office is officially only open from 1-5 weekdays, you only have to call and either the manager or owner will answer the phone (or return your call relatively quickly) and are available almost all the time. They are very nice and accommodating. This is a very pleasant place to stay if you are visiting the area. It is not a resort as it offers no amenities at all, but due to the fairly large sites and nice grounds, it's a nice place to stop and rest your bones! My only real complaint: hundreds and hundreds of fire ant mounds, you really need to watch where you step! Then again, I'm told "welcome to the South!" We camped at Heritage RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Other than the Savannah River, downtown Augusta with a lot of shopping, or the Masters golf tournament, this is not a very touristy area.

Beautifully maintained RV park with relatively spacious sites and wide roads for easy maneuvering. Best wifi ever encountered in any RV park - faster than many home cable systems. Concrete patio pad and new aluminum/steel picnic tables. Level gravel pad for RV. Big rig friendly....all this for $35 per night. But no pool or bath houses. Easy access to the Augusta/Aiken area via I-20. We camped at Heritage RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

A real basic park, office only open four hours five days a week. Came in on Saturday and found a map on door with my site number. They don't have trash pickup and on the map it didn't show the dumpsters. Had to walk around park to find them.

Park is mostly long term and construction workers. When we pulled in, there were dogs running loose. It is easy access and close to major places in Augusta. All sites are gravel and back in, with one pull through by the entrance for over nighters. Interior roads are gravel but easy to navigate. We camped at Heritage RV Park in a Motorhome.

One would definitely classify Heritage RV Park in the no-frills category: no paved roads, no paved sites, no on-site laundry (laundromat relatively nearby), no restroom/shower facilities, no pool. So if you are in need of these amenities, this is not the place for you. What this very quiet park does offer is close proximity to Augusta, along with long, level satellite-friendly sites. Our premium site, although gravel, had a concrete patio with an aluminum picnic table, and grass/flower separation between our site and neighboring sites. RV sites are closely-spaced and are back-in, except for one pull-through which is reserved for overnight guests who do not wish to disconnect. The registration office is closed on weekends (open 1-5, weekdays), so if you arrive on a Saturday or Sunday, your site information is available for you in a packet taped to the office door and your name is posted on your reserved site. However, prior to our weekend arrival, we received an email from the owner of the resort with all our needed info. The selection of RV parks in the Augusta area is extremely minimal, so Heritage seems to be the best choice. We camped at Heritage RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a nice little campground with easy access to I-20 & I-520. Grounds appeared to be spotless clean. Campsites are gravel and fairly level with a concrete side pad for camper access and picnic table. Staff greeted us warmly and assisted in getting us backed into our site. Will stay here again if traveling in the area. We camped at Heritage RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice clean and well taken care of park. The office is closed on Saturdays and Sundays and does not open until 1PM other days. I gave them a satisfactory on the service because I was the 5th of the line of motorhomes waiting to sign in. Once they arrived they were very nice and did show us to our site. I didn't know about the time limit...maybe I missed it on the internet...but it felt very weird. Because of where they are I felt the value was good. We camped at Heritage RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stopped for just an overnight. We got there at 1 when the office was supposed to open and no one was there. We waited and finally called the # on our reservation. The host said he was running late and guided us over the phone to where we were to stay. It was a back in with plenty of room for the tow. Appeared to have plenty of residents who kept their sites clean and tidy. We would stay here again. We camped at Heritage RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall, not impressed. Check in time listed on reservation link was noon, however office didn't open until 1:00pm. Overpriced nightly rate for no amenities. No bathrooms, showers or laundry. Mostly seasonal. Some sites designed for larger Class A motorhomes have some landscaping, but most sites were gravel and very close together. Our site did not even have a picnic table. Occupants of site next door were of questionable character. Would not stay here again. We camped at Heritage RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Having arrived 2 hours past office closing, a call to the number on the office door scored us an excellent pull-through site for the evening. The park host, was very helpful and accommodating. Sites are gravel, most are end-to-end, pull-in or back-in. Some road noise during morning commute, but not objectionable as Park is not on a major highway. Full-hookup facilities in excellent shape; new. We camped at Heritage RV Park in a Motorhome.
