Never were two RV parks more different than the one in Jacksonville, where I stayed last week, and the Lake Pines RV Park here in Columbus. Gone are the palms and the orange groves. Gone are the flat fields and swamps. Gone are the hoards of vacationers and retirees. Here there are hills and red Georgia clay and pecan orchards. Here the park is surrounded by pleasant, rolling countryside. There the park was surrounded by that rough zone of struggling businesses trying to make it on the far edges of a city. Here there are tall trees all around. There the trees are no older than the park itself. Here the name of the park is accurate: there actually is a lake surrounded by pines. Here the lanes and sites are gravel, winding all around in pleasant curves over gently rolling hills. There the lanes and sites were ruler-straight and orderly; the sites were concrete, but cracked by the perpetual traffic of heavy rigs. They reminded me of an airport parking lot with oversized spaces, an impression reinforced by the constant roar of jets from the nearby international airport. Here the campers are mostly weekenders, with a wide range of RVs and equipment. There the rigs are big and new, parked by well-heeled retirees for the month or the season or permanently. Here the campground is a family business. There it's a corporate investment. It's clear which park I prefer. I do not understand how anyone would choose to live in an airport parking lot, But some do. - Jim Fulton

Clubhouse needs work. Kitchen floor is sinking and inside cabinets dirty. Outside needs rotten wood replaced and whole clubhouse needs some tlc, new windows, paint, no heat in outer part of clubhouse. Camp sites need new gravel and whole place needs some tlc. - Dawgirl
Nov 2017 - $40.00
Nicely kept park. A few places where interior roads got a little narrow, but nothing to worry about. The sites are so long that no one needs to have any vehicles sticking off sites. Good hookups. Level long sites. Very convenient off main road. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Did have a campground rule we have never seen before-no Outside TV's-so a dealbreaker on football weekends. Office closed on Sunday, but we were left info for our site. - BGRED3

Very small park but it served our purpose of visiting Andersonville National Park and Cemetery. - ranic59
Nov 2017 - $18.00
Campground: Andersonville City RV Park is our destination so we can visit the National POW Memorial. The RV Park is perfect for our overnight stay. There appears to be a few full time travel trailers here. The park is convenient, simple, quaint and well maintained. Pull thru site 12 is a small concrete pad large enough for our 35ft without having to unhitch our toad. Looking forward to a morning of site seeing in Andersonville. - TravellerLott
Apr 2017 - $18.00
Nice little park just next to downtown Andersonville. Concrete pads with grass all around. The campground has three rows of sites. It wasn't originally designed very well and doesn't have a turn around. The sites on the left side as you enter are facing the wrong direction and require care in backing into them. The sites on the right (east side) do not have concrete pads and are slope steeply. Sites are very close together if all of them are taken. Great for an overnight or two if you're in the area. - Steve and Mai

This is a beautiful park! We were on lot 10 - a pull through - and our lot size was bigger than most homes have. It had a huge side/back yard with a big picnic table, fire pit and grill. The yard area was wooded but cleaned out of all ground clutter and perfectly mowed. The next lot over was at least 75 feet away. Checking in at the Country Store was quick, easy and friendly. There is a locked gate to get in to the park. Water pressure is very good, WiFi was good (not excellent), but cable was .... not so much. Verizon cell signal was 4G LTE with 2 bars. We would stay here again and highly recommend it. - jomark

You won't be able to find a nicer place to camp. The only complaint I have is the promised Wi-Fi service did not exist in the area I camped (site 410). I asked at the country store and was told they'd been having a problem and would reset the router. I was able to connect in the store but not at my campsite. Wonderful pkace for kids also. - Joe Vanderbeke
Mar 2017 - $26.00
This is a great campground. The sites are large, paved, level, and have lots of space. All hookups worked perfectly to include cable tv. There is a nearby river where campers can rent boats and fish. A swimming pool is fun for the kids. The laundry room had 3 dryers and 3 washers in good working order. My only complaint is that the wifi wasn't consistent - it kept dropping. - Melodycthomas
