Feb 2009 - $28.00
This was a nice RV park old but very current , The owners were nice and close to town . Would go back . - crystal m.
Aug 2016 - $1.00
We did a drive thru of this park just to check suitability. We were getting our RV serviced at Peach State Truck Center directly across I-75 from this park. Our eval is that this is a good, journey type park for an overnight. There is room for big rig access at the front of the park, in the open. Large pull thru spaces under the trees in the back. Roads are gravel, wide enough and turns big enough for a 38 ft RV with a toad. Spaces are gravel dirt grass mix. RVs parked in the camp appeared in good condition, park has an outdoor swimming pool, some units had kids toys and bicycles outside. Probably loud freeway noise at night. Talked to managers on the phone, nice people. We will stay here in the future if getting RV serviced. - starsekr
Jan 2016 - $25.00
Older park. Hookups are not in a good location for ease of use. Roads are in VERY bad shape. Many large and deep holes. - MH-Tom
Sep 2015 - $25.00
Office was locked at 4 PM when we arrived. Note on door said "I'm on mower somewhere in park, come find me". FHU connections were side-by-side on some sites, others not. Sewer connections were at either extreme of sites, with some on starboard side of site. the back of the park was somewhat shabby.
I inquired of two residents of the park as to whereabouts of manager, both appeared intoxicated and rambling in speech. We did not stay because we did not find the manager, choosing to find another RV park.
I do not recommend Interstate RV park to anyone. - RayIN
Aug 2015 - $36.00
Stopped overnight. Very easy access right next to Exit 142 on Interstate 75 just north of Perry, GA. Very friendly staff, provided follow-me golf cart to the site. Many sites are pull-through. Full hookups. - b2bowers
Nov 2016 - $16.00
Ignore everything you've read about ants there is actually no problem maybe it's the time of year. It is one large field very uneven campsites are along the perimeter. I'm only looking for a place to sleep that is reasonable and safe and I'm not going to disagree with $16 for a full hookup and be safe. This is not a Taj Mahal nor is it a resort it is a safe reasonable overnight spot do not overlook this place. - forty4san
Oct 2016 - $16.00
Sites on the east side are very un-level but they do have sewers. Water is in a box in the ground but pretty easy to hook up. We avoided the trees along the back of the sites to keep from getting ants. Manager was not available but we were told he would stop by. He never did. We handed him a check as we left in the morning. Passport rate. Very quiet, but services, shopping, restaurants, etc. are only 3-4 miles away. - SusanRon
Jun 2016 - $16.00
It's a beautiful setting. Very quiet and peaceful. It's a ranch style campground, with a pond. The yard is quite nicely kept. Would liked to have stayed longer. The host was extremely friendly. The roads and sites are not paved. Would recommend! - Chittenden
Jun 2016 - $25.00
This was an overnight stay while traveling I-75. The owner is a very friendly man, but the campground is terrible. The road in is hard to find and in very poor condition. The sites are in very poor condition and are crumbling.
The electric service was reliable, the water is from the City of Macon so it is good. Being close to Macon, TV reception was excellent. - Crabman
Oct 2016 - $25.00
We stayed overnight here in a 22 foot RoadTrek Class B. We also had a Town and Country van along. The macerator hose tore the night before so we needed to park near the bath house.
The water connection was located in a covered compartment in the ground. We use a small water pressure regulator so we had no trouble hooking up the water hose but large regulators might be a problem.
The park was quiet and well-maintained but quite a distance from the Interstate. It would be perfect for a long weekend or a week's vacation. Nice lake, bring your kayak or canoe. - RVMom44
Jun 2016 - $25.00
We did a one night, stop-over. This is a beautiful campground, located on Columbus Road off US-80 near Lizella, Georgia, part of the Lake Tobesofkee Recreation Area. Sites are FHU/30/50, asphalt roads, concrete pads. Restrooms were modern and clean but warning, the shower water was hot with a touch of hot. Neither the wife nor I could get cold water, making a shower an interesting event. Roads were a bit narrow - probably a challenge for big coaches, but I managed with a 40' fiver. Gas/diesel is about 1 mile away on US-80, West. No pool or spa. - StephenK
Mar 2016 - $25.00
This is a county park located 4 or 5 miles west of I-475 and about a mile north of highway 80. Access from I-475 is very easy. The park web site does not provide much park information but we quickly discovered that phone reservations can be easily made and are recommended. There was no fee to make the reservation and no payment was requested until we checked in. The park is completely paved and each site has a concrete pad to park your RV on as well as having an adjacent pad with picnic table. Though the roads within the park are paved, in places they are very narrow, but we had no issues navigating these roads with our 40 ft Class A Motorhome with our toad attached. Grass is well maintained. Great views of the lake from just about all camp sites. Be aware that the water supply is below grade in a small hand hole. The hand hole was filled with water at our neighbor's site. We suggest that you carefully inspect the hand hole before reaching in as this is the South. There is no wi-fi or park cable, but there are many local off-the-air TV channels available, and most sites are quite open offering easy satellite access. Verizon and AT&T both had strong signals for voice and data. We would stay here again when passing through. Even though this park is a few minutes drive off the Interstate it is very nice and worth the short drive. - Johnson's
Jan 2017 - $32.00
We stayed here since it was close to I-75 for one night. The campground appeared to be an older one. The sites were very small, roads were very narrow, not good if you have a larger RV. The sewer location was very far to the back of the site making it necessary to use 2 hose extensions. The person who checked us in was not very friendly just pointed to our campsite from the porch. The only positive things about this campground was it was close to I-75, the internet worked and it had cable. - quilt lady
Dec 2016 - $32.00
We stopped here because it is just off I-75, and because it's ad says it is 'big-rig friendly'. I called early in the afternoon to confirm a pull thru site would be available for a 40' motor home with tow vehicle. We were told no problem. But our rig barely fits the site, actually are overhanging the road a foot or two in the back. Roads are tight. The campground is ok for an overnight stop as long as you are not looking for a big rig site. Did not use any of the amenities if there are any. - p2w
Sep 2016 - $34.00
We chose this park because it said it had a playground and a pool. We were delighted by this because we were camping with our 5 year old grandson for the first time. We found the pool was closed and drained of all water and were told there was no playground. Management was not overly friendly and looked like they were aggravated when we would ask them questions. Sites were not big enough for rig and tow vehicles. Not much available space for tow vehicle. I don't think we will be returning here anytime soon. There were several other campers who told us the same thing. - Debby W
Nov 2015 - $35.00
We stopped overnight.. The park is close to I75, close to Kroger fuel, restaurants and shopping.. The staff was friendly and there was plenty of room to maneuver our mh with toad into one of the many pull through sites.. Full hookup with cable and good cell service, AT&T.. Services worked good although I question the electric hookups, a lot didn't have covers and there were a lot of open holes for rain to be able to get into electric panels, they definitely need some work here.. Sites are close but level there are a lot of trees for shade and there are some permanent residents in the campground but it was quiet all night.. For an over niter this place is ok, we would stay here again.. - smoky40
Jan 2012 - $27.00
Very friendly, just an overnight stop. Electrical on site was poor, ground fault interrupter kept tripping. Can walk to Walmart or to eat, so no need to unhook. Nothing to excite you here; just a place to sleep. Some permanent residents, all friendly. Has a "pool," but have never seen it open. - nanapapi
Sep 2011 - $31.00
This was the last stop on my road trip home to Florida. Quick in and out from the interstate made this stop an easy choice. Nice people but if you don't like cats, don't go in the office. It wreaked of cat urine. Site was level and long though a bit narrow for my two slideouts. I had to be very careful when setting up. The water, sewer, and power were close to the back end of the pull-through so a bit of a stretch for all my cords. Nice grassy area for the puppies. There are several long term residences in this park that give it a very southern, hospitable atmosphere. Lots of stores, restaurants and a WalMart within walking distance so you don't have to unhook your rig! Big plus. - rvannie
Aug 2016 - $26.00
I like the park. It has great views of the lake, and a nice variety of spots. But, it is not being taken care of. I saw cleaning crews in the bathrooms but they did not sweep, mop, or clear cobwebs. The sites had trash in them. It has such great potential but whoever is responsible for insuring that the worker are doing their jobs, is not doing their job. - Georger
Oct 2015 - $25.00
Gem of a campgroud with easy access to interstate. Flat concrete sites with nice picnic table and fire ring. There are five sites which are big rig friendly with lovely views of the lake. It's a very peaceful and scenic campground.
Our only complaint is the indifferent reservation staff member was not aware if sites where satellite friendly (they are) or seem to care. There is also a $4 fee per kayak irregardless if you are going to launch them. - Wgcamper
May 2015 - $22.00
Lake Tobesofkee was a disappointment for us this time. We made reservations at least 30 days prior to our arrival and were told we had a pull-through site. An hour before we were to arrive while on the road, their office called us to tell us that due to electrical problems we would have to do a back-in site. Our promised site was level, this one was not and it lacked a sewer hook up. In talking with the workers who are fixing the electrical problem they said they knew of the problem 6 months before we arrived. My complaint is why didn't the office personnel tell us of this situation when we made our reservation. Maybe they were afraid of losing revenue. For those stalwart campers who will still come to Tobesofkee, many of their sites are torn up and their men's restrooms/showers were less than inviting/closed leaving only the woman's side. Their picnic tables had what appeared to have black mold growing on the table top and while they offer cable TV we had to guess each channel's network since we were offered no listing handout. If I had a camping crystal ball I'm not sure that I now see Tobesofkee in our future. - 5thwheeler
Feb 2017 - $21.00
Enjoyed this park and agree with all the other positive reviews. Even got a "first timers" gift. We asked for a site facing North or East plus a pull thru and both requests were honored. A very helpful info sheet was supplied. Passport America states the discount doesn't apply if reservations are made. We didn't have reservations, and park was quite full. Still no problem getting a site. Check in was by a very pleasant, welcoming gentleman. Not mentioned in the other reviews is a gem of a little restaurant, Oil Lamp, a couple miles away. We'll stay here again. - Proud Rome Georgian
Dec 2016 - $21.00
Sites are gravel, interior roads are paved. Our site (#35) was long and wide and easily accommodated our 36' fifth wheel and F-350 DRW truck; good DirecTV (roof mounted dish) and Verizon cell reception; 30/50 Amp, water and sewer; good cable TV reception also. Utility hookups were conveniently located. Campground has a nice mix of wooded and open sites. This was an overnight stop so I did not have time to explore but campground appears clean and very well maintained. Did not use restrooms, showers or laundry facilities. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Close to shopping, restaurants and diesel fuel. Easy access from I-75; traffic noise was minimal. - Moneypenny
Dec 2016 - $20.00
We have stayed here several times while traveling I-75. Excellent location. Some sites are a little tight and navigation is a little tricky in some spots. Recommend Hooking and Un-hooking the tow vehicle at the front of the park by the office. Other than that, all is great. Never had any problems with service. - rv time
