A little more info on this RV park follows: Cash or personal check can be used for after-hours registration. The park includes washers ($2.00) and dryers ($1.50). Quarters are used and can be obtained at the office Very nice men's showers are available, with hooks, a shelf above the seat and a place below the seat for storage and a soap holder In the shower. Wife said the woman's showers are fine, too. The entrance is on the I75, so freeway noise is heard at the initial campsites. However, the noise didn't bother us at the rear of the park. We camped at site 13. Sewer inlet was a little high for our low travel trailer. There were plenty of unused sites, and we would have moved when leaving if we needed to dump. We stayed two nights so we could visit the excellent Museum of Aviation in nearby Warner Robins, and would stay here again. We camped at Interstate Campground & RV Center in a Travel Trailer.

Very basic facility along Hwy 75, nice for folks coming and going to and from Florida. Nice long pull through lots. The office was not open Sunday, so we paid on the honor system... so bring some $10 bills to put in the envelopes. It did not appear to have any central facilities like showers. If all you need is a space, electricity, and water hook up, this is fine. We camped at Interstate Campground & RV Center in a Motorhome.

Interstate-irv, owner at Interstate Campground & RV Center responded to this review

Mr. Rovers First of all thank you for visiting our campground. We just wanted to let you know that there are shower house/restroom facilities and laundry facilities in a brown building in the center of the campground next to the swimming pool. There is a map on the front door where you check in that shows where everything is in the park and although they are older facilities, we keep them very clean. As for Sunday's I attend Church and spend time with my family and I trust customers to use the honor system so, that I too can have a day off. As for the sewer hook ups, they are there at each site but the park was built many years ago and designed when campers were smaller so they are in awkward places, but they are there at each pull through and some sites have two. I hope this is a help to you and others and that you will stay with us again. Thank you and God Bless.

We did a drive thru of this park just to check suitability. We were getting our RV serviced at Peach State Truck Center directly across I-75 from this park. Our eval is that this is a good, journey type park for an overnight. There is room for big rig access at the front of the park, in the open. Large pull thru spaces under the trees in the back. Roads are gravel, wide enough and turns big enough for a 38 ft RV with a toad. Spaces are gravel dirt grass mix. RVs parked in the camp appeared in good condition, park has an outdoor swimming pool, some units had kids toys and bicycles outside. Probably loud freeway noise at night. Talked to managers on the phone, nice people. We will stay here in the future if getting RV serviced. We camped at Interstate Campground & RV Center in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

INTERSTATE RV Sales across the freeway (general RV service) and Peach Tree Truck Service (chassis, oil, lube) right next to them. Not easy walking distance to food, shopping, restaurants.

Older park. Hookups are not in a good location for ease of use. Roads are in VERY bad shape. Many large and deep holes. We camped at Interstate Campground & RV Center in a Motorhome.

Office was locked at 4 PM when we arrived. Note on door said "I'm on mower somewhere in park, come find me". FHU connections were side-by-side on some sites, others not. Sewer connections were at either extreme of sites, with some on starboard side of site. the back of the park was somewhat shabby.

I inquired of two residents of the park as to whereabouts of manager, both appeared intoxicated and rambling in speech. We did not stay because we did not find the manager, choosing to find another RV park.

I do not recommend Interstate RV park to anyone. We camped at Interstate Campground & RV Center in a Motorhome.

This is an older park located very close to I-75. We only needed an over-night spot so didn't stay long enough to meet any of the longer term residents or park employees. It was well kept and spaces were nicely portioned. Our only problem was the hookups were on the wrong side for our Class A but after parking "backward", they worked just fine so no complaints. It's not a "resort" campground but I didn't expect it to be for $25. They offer hospitality/honor system overnight parking which is exactly what we needed. We camped at Interstate Campground & RV Center in a Motorhome.

This is an in/out campground for someone traveling. As the other reviewer stated, this place is in need of some repair. Quite a few long term campers there. OK for the night but not for any length of time. We camped at Interstate Campground & RV Center in a Travel Trailer.

The great thing is its location off of I-75 in Byron, GA. We had to move out of a pull-through because the site was so unlevel and found another. That's the biggest challenge in the overnight spaces is finding one level enough. Our sewer hose ran uphill, the roads are very rough, and the electrical boxes were in need of repair. I'm glad it was just 1 night. I did not use the restrooms but saw there was no security. They were open to anyone. This is an okay stay for overnight, but can't recommend even 2 nights. Internet available in office only during hours of operation. The entire campground is in need of maintenance. We camped at Interstate Campground & RV Center in a Fifth Wheel.

There are ZERO discounts for this park. It's $25 for 2 people and they close early. We got here at 5:10 pm and they were closed, so we chose a pull through site. Had all the facilities, but a number of the sites were quite trashy. There was even a tree that had been cut down and the wood was stacked all around in front of and behind the camper. There were also boats in sites and cars parked in vacant sites. Oh, and people were drying about 10 towels on their boats. It's right off the interstate and can see the traffic from the park. However, it was hot, and we were having trouble with our generator and needed to stay here to see about a fix the next morning with a local business. Sites were dirt: maybe had gravel at one time, but most was gone. We camped at Interstate Campground & RV Center in a Fifth Wheel.

I read several comments about this park. One (1) commented on the excellent Wi-Fi reception here. The reception they received was from the the full time residents that stay in the campground, not from the Interstate RV Facilities. Interstate has no Wi-Fi. Stayed one night. Night registration only on Sat and Sun??? Must be nice. No help if you need any. WiFi and cable TV was good. Sites long and easy in and out. Lots of long term units, some messy. Stones throw from I-75, noisy. We camped at Interstate Campground & RV Center in a Motorhome.

We camped here after leaving Camping World and on first impression we were a little wary but decided to give it a shot. We were very glad that we did. It was very peaceful and everyone there pretty much kept to themselves. There were a lot of permanent residents along with travelers just stopping in for a rest. The bathhouse was very clean but very old and outdated. The playground equipment was not very safe. The pool looked like it would be nice in the summer time. The interstate noise was not loud at all. Sites were also very level. Overall we were happy because we had a quiet restful day and a good night's sleep. We camped at Interstate Campground & RV Center in a Travel Trailer.

At first we weren't thrilled with the idea of staying here, but it ended up being not so bad. The sites we were all grassy and sometimes overgrown, but at other times kept up pretty well. The pool was very, very small but at least they had one. The campground is located literally right next to the interstate, which is great access, but if you don't like highway noise, you won't like this place. We did enjoy our time here, so it wasn't a bad place at all. We camped at Interstate Campground & RV Center in a Motorhome.

Definitely not a destination campground. It was dusty, which means muddy if it rained. Sites were very closely spaced on narrow streets but we were able to get in and out with our 35' motorhome with the car still hooked up. Lots of road noise. Dogs running all over the place and dog waste everywhere, so apparently management does not enforce pet rules. Mostly trailer trash with a bunch of kids and 2 or 3 dogs chained up outside all the time. Atmosphere was a bit unsettling. It served a purpose for us since we had an appointment at Camping World right across the street, but we would not stay here again. Highly overpriced even at $22.00 per night. We camped at Interstate Campground & RV Center in a Motorhome.
