Needed an overnight in transit, too hot for Walmart. Drove in without reservation, got last spot. Place is no longer a KOA. We camped at Calhoun A-KO Campground (formerly Calhoun KOA) in a Motorhome.

Sites are not level. Stopped on our way going north thinking this was a koa. It is no longer a koa. Came in after dark easy self registration but pricey at $36.09 for a night on a muddy non level site. Couldn't put our jacks down. Would not recommend for Big Rigs. 32' Class C motorhome. Came here to wait for Hurricane Matthew before heading south, stayed three nights. This is a former KOA. Rate reflects a 10% KOA discount, but could not use KOA points or update KOA account. Just a hair big rig tight at the pull thru site but driving thru the campground was OK. Our 5th wheel is 40' and we tow with a Freightliner hauler. Water, sewer, electric (with surge protector), Sprint, Satellite (DirecTv) worked fine. Our site, #96, was fairly level, no wheels off the ground, and long enough to park the truck in front of the RV. Pool was open but we did not use it. Dog friendly with a dog park! Sites and roads are gravel, entrance was paved. Employees were very helpful and professional. Had fresh baked cookies as we parked. You can order pizza, wings, etc - particularly nice for the first night! Office is open late and there was an escort to our site. The Park is about half seasonal RVs. Ducks and peacocks roam free. There is a petting zoo with sheep, pigs and goats. The Moose Lodge is one block away; restaurants, Walmart, Home Depot, one exit south on I75. Would camp here again. We camped at Calhoun A-KO Campground (formerly Calhoun KOA) in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our first time staying at this park. We couldn't get a reservation at our regular stop on way to Florida so thought we would give this park a try. Staff was very friendly and helpful, but like many KOA parks the sites are tight. We were in a pull through, but our poor neighbor still had to move their truck off their site for us to pull out. The nice part of the park was that 2 pull through had brick patios with a nice patio set (for extra $$). The petting zoo is very small, but the peacocks were very cool and wandered all over. Not afraid of people at all. It rained the entire time we were there so didn't really spend much time outdoors. We did get our warm cookies, yum. All in all, not a bad place to lay over, but it is a little tight for bigger rigs. I wish I could give it a better rating as the staff was great but the uneven sites combined with the tight fit forces me to lower the score. I would go back though if I couldn't get into our favorite park. We camped at Calhoun A-KO Campground (formerly Calhoun KOA) in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is NOT big rig friendly. Asked for a pull-through site as we were only staying one night pulling our tow vehicle. Had to move sites due to not leveling, front driver's wheel at least 3 inches off the ground and rear duals as well. When we relocated, same problem, left with no choice but to unhook and re-set within the site. Still, could not level without front tires completely off the ground. Only good note, power and water pressure was good. We will not be back! We camped at Calhoun A-KO Campground (formerly Calhoun KOA) in a Motorhome.

WiFi did not work. Connected but would not stay connected. Park clean, easy in and out. If they can't have continuous Wifi they should not advertise. We camped at Calhoun A-KO Campground (formerly Calhoun KOA) in a Motorhome.

Stayed overnight on trip to orlando. Staff very friendly. Felt welcomed and at home immediately. Received fresh hot cookies delivered to site as welcome gift. Took advantage of pizza and wings service for dinner. Not supper quality but enjoyable and didn't have to go out or cook. After an 8 hour drive from Ohio was very helpful. Recommend this site and will use again if in area. We camped at Calhoun A-KO Campground (formerly Calhoun KOA) in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed here overnight while passing through northern Georgia on I-75. No interstate noise. Lots of trees on the premises which at first appeared to be a daunting task, driving a big rig with tow through the campground. It turned out to be relatively easy. Bathrooms were clean but old an in serious need of updating. We arrived late and left early so we did not use any other facilities. My biggest concern with this campground was the unlevel ground. We were in a row of motorhomes that were all up on jacks with multiple tires completely off the ground. It is not bad for an overnight stay, and I would consider staying again, but only for one quick overnight stop. We camped at Calhoun A-KO Campground (formerly Calhoun KOA) in a Motorhome.

When making reservations management did not listen to me requesting a satellite friendly site or when we were checking in. Tree was on dish and could not get level with hydraulic jacks so we had to move. Will not return. We camped at Calhoun A-KO Campground (formerly Calhoun KOA) in a Motorhome.

The thing we liked best were the peacocks - they have several adult and young peacocks, including relatively rare albinos as well as normal colored ones. If you don't like their unusual cry, that could be a bit of a shock! There was an extra charge to enter the pool area but at least one family was enjoying it - it was rather small. Sites were gravel and rather narrow. It's a hilly campground. There is an average playground. The people working were very nice, the store was well-stocked, including local souvenirs, and freshly made pizza is available on site. There was a fishing pond and a 'petting zoo' on site with a couple of goats and an awful looking animal - maybe a sheep? So, there's an attempt to be family-friendly but it just needs a little more care. Wi-Fi was OK. The flier lists miniature golf but we didn't notice that. Small spaces. Neighbors 3 feet away. No really level spots. Not much road to maneuver a large motorhome. Lots of mud. Extremely noisy peacock at all hours of the night. Park needs to be cleaned up and modernized . Overpriced at $35 per night for conditions. We camped at Calhoun A-KO Campground (formerly Calhoun KOA) in a Motorhome.

Rainy, rainy night so things were muddy but this campground was just fine. Loved the sound of the peacocks. Nice warm cookies delivered by Hostess on our arrival. We didn't feel like venturing out or cooking so we ordered the Park specials of chicken wings and pizza delivered to our camper. Can't beat that type of service! We would stay here again in a heartbeat. We camped at Calhoun A-KO Campground (formerly Calhoun KOA) in a Motorhome.

The wife and I camped here for three nights with a larger group of RV'ers. Our site was on the very soggy back loop and only had 30amp: no sewer or water hookup available, for a discount rate was $33/night. The grass only site did not have a fire ring or picnic table when we arrived, but both were promptly delivered when requested. There was a very courteous, young staff assisting the evening we checked in and they also brought us warm cookies after we had settled. We were within "smell" range of a four-to-five horse corral that was very unpleasant when the winds were calm. The bathroom on the rear loop was never cleaned in the three days we were here, and a lack of sidewalks or gravel driveways only promoted a constant layer of pine straw and leaves on the bathroom floor. The bathrooms were also up on a 15-foot incline, not suitable for older campers. The railroad tie steps were super slick when wet. The new "rally center" was our hub of activities and featured a full kitchen, screen and projector and plenty of seating for probably 65 people. There was a large fire ring outside that was used by the group both nights, as well as a very large BBQ/smoker rig available to all campsite users. Since we had brought in over twenty RV units for camping: almost 55 people total. The campground hosts provided a dinner on Saturday night for the group. The meal consisted of one helping of pork barbecue or a charred/burned chicken leg quarter, a choice of two sides (grocery store potato salad, cole slaw or pork-n-beans) and a slice of white bread. Some folks managed to get a second round of side dishes, but not everyone. Dessert was budget ice cream with canned toppings. The campground had a nice pool & game room, a miniature golf course, a very small pond (catch and release only) as well as a petting zoo that featured goats, pigs and very loud peacocks. The location was convenient to a grocery store and several restaurants. Overall, the place simply needed a good cleaning and some T.L.C. in order to become an above-average KOA site. Hospitality was a solid "A", but the site condition came it at a "C-" at best. We camped at Calhoun A-KO Campground (formerly Calhoun KOA) in a Travel Trailer.

Site was small and cramped; neighbor's awning was 12" from slide. Lots of construction workers staying there. People kept coming through our site for showers, laundry, pool, and generally anywhere they wanted to go. Site was filled with mud after a rain. Wi-Fi didn't work at our site, and we were close to the registration building. One thing that was nice was the meeting room as it was great. Peacock was loud, and goats smelled. We camped at Calhoun A-KO Campground (formerly Calhoun KOA) in a Fifth Wheel.

Office help very friendly. Park in very poor shape for an expensive KOA. Weeds over 2 feet tall around the pool. Sand in the pool. Bathrooms and showers needed fixing. Sites narrow and not level. 30 amp service kept tripping the breaker, so we had to plug into 50 amp. Saving the best for last, they have some sort of children petting zoo where the roosters start crowing at 3:30 in the morning. Unbelievable. Would not stay here again, even for one night. We camped at Calhoun A-KO Campground (formerly Calhoun KOA) in a Motorhome.
