This park is ideally located to visit the many waterfalls and autumn colors of Northern GA. The roads and sites are gravel, just a bit our of level. Plenty of room to park our pickup beside the fifth wheel. Plenty of trees. We camped at Yonah Mountain Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There are many waterfalls in state parks and national forests within a 30 minute or 90 minute drive from the RV park. We particularly like Anna Ruby falls and Tallugah Gorge State Park. Tallugah Gorge is indeed in a picturesque gorge with several waterfalls. There are walking trails to view the falls deep in the gorge.

Conveniently located several miles from Helen, this campground is fully wooded and hilly with some steep gravel roads. Most sites are decent size, though some were not so level. There is some landscaping at the front of the park near the office along with a large grassy area and playground. Site & road maintenance were a little lacking. Dish satellite was good in our site. Verizon reception is weak. They only offer Wifi in the clubhouse and there is no cable TV: no digital air either. This is a very quiet park. We camped at Yonah Mountain Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Campground has no grass at sites. Some sites very close. Cable in area but not in campground. No TV reception at all. WI-FI worked good in clubhouse. Close to Helen, grocery, and gas station. We camped at Yonah Mountain Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We camped with the Forest Rivers Owners Group. Staff took us around to select a site. They were very helpful and went above and beyond by helping serve food during our rally. Campground has several sites with shade and ample space between units. Nice play area for the kids and a clean pool. The only reason it did not score higher was lack of a fenced in dog area and no tv reception. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Yonah Mountain Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure to visit the town of Helen which is only a few minutes to the North. Also the Babyland General Hospital in Cleveland is a must if you have kids. We visited the Cottage Vineyard and Winery nearby which just built a beautiful veterans memorial.

Easy to get in and out of campground. On Georgia State Route 75. They just created a new right turn lane and coming from Helen there is a 2 lane section of highway. All gravel roads and sites. A couple of steep spots, but navigable. Fairly level sites, ours was not as level as it looked. Very friendly employees and helpful. Very good water. We camped at Yonah Mountain Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Make sure you go into Helen, GA, and visit Anna Ruby Falls. Half mile paved hike, some steep spots but doable. Also be sure to stop at Nora Mill (a working gristmill) on the way into Helen. Great spot, especially if you like corn bread and grits (samples available).

The park was well maintained and clean. Bathrooms were spotless the one time I went in. Showers were spacious and had plenty of room to change. Front of campground seems to be for short visits. Appeared that there were some long-term/permanent residents towards the back of the campground. Hosts were great when we arrived. There were social events on Friday & Saturday night, though we didn't attend. The biggest negative is that the campground is right off the highway, so you do get some road noise. It really wasn't too bad, though. It's about a 5 minute drive into Cleveland for food and services. One restaurant (pizza & subs) across the street from the campground, but we didn't get to check it out because they closed very early on Saturday night. We would stay here again. We camped at Yonah Mountain Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Located a few miles from Helen and many activities/attractions. Very nice park with lots of RV and tent sites. Pond for fishing, nice playground for kids and good size fields for dogs. We stayed in lot 12 which was roomy and backed up to the woods. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We camped at Yonah Mountain Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Many things to do in Helen. Nora Mills is a great place to stop and get some fresh ground grits or your favorite jam or syrup. Anna Ruby Falls and Unicoi State Park are just a few minutes away and are a must see.

This is our first time camping in a privately owned campground, so we were not sure what to expect. Especially since there was no recent reviews on this campground on this website. All told, we were not disappointed. Even though the majority of the interior roads are not paved, they have gravel and not bad at all. Also, majority of the sites are level and have some sort of privacy, but you may have to arrive early on busy periods to select a better site. This is important since sites are allotted on first-come-first-served. The two concerns we had were that the entire town of Cleveland, GA and Helen, GA have very poor T-mobile cellphone reception. Also, you cannot receive any TV channels with TV antennae, not even one channel. We enjoyed our stay and will use this campground next time we come back to Helen, GA. We camped at Yonah Mountain Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

The park staff is very nice and helpful. We were disappointed that the campground no longer has cable available. It was a very quite and peaceful area and it is convenient to a grocery store. We camped at Yonah Mountain Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We love Yonah Mountain Campground! We have been here several times and will continue to return whenever we are in North Georgia. The majority of the sites are in the trees, so even during the hottest months shade is provided. The staff is awesome; always willing to provide help or just stop by to chat. The Clubhouse is very nice with very clean rest roons, and the laundry room is one of the best we've used. Very welcoming pool and activities during the summer months. Yes...the interior roads are gravel and you get some noise from the road, but not a problem to us. If you don't have a good time here, it's your own fault. Great campground! We camped at Yonah Mountain Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice park and staff extremely friendly. Laundry room very clean and newer front load machines. Only problem is we wanted a site that could get satellite TV. There are 4 sites that are newer with no trees but the back of the sites are all dirt and when it rained, the site was total red Georgia mud. We are still trying to get it out of our shoes. We camped at Yonah Mountain Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

This was our first time in camping in our RV. Staff was great: helped us set up, gave us tips, stacked fire wood at our site and stopped by and chatted a couple of times. On Saturday night, park sponsored a wiener/marshmallow roast for all guests. Bathhouse and clubhouse clean and very neat. We plan on coming back this summer with granddaughter. (Our rate was coast to coast member rate.) We camped at Yonah Mountain Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
